What are the pros of staying at Hotel San Remo?
The hotel is very well located, staff are very helpful. Would definitely stay here again! Excellent value for money. Ideal location. Very friendly reception staff. Great central location, clean and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and clean, the staff was kind. Very central, close to the beach and pubs and restaurants. Also very close to the bus stop for the airport, great location! The room had a normal size, we only stayed there to sleep and get ready to go out so we didn't need much space. It was cleaned every day. Staff very kind and helpful, 24 hour reception. Recommended! Perfect location, right in the city center and all restaurants, bars are very close. Beach is also walking distance. Rooms renovated; new furniture set in the room. Check in check out super easy. You can leave the luggage for late flights.
What are the cons of staying at Hotel San Remo?
The shower seals leaked and soaked the bathroom floor. A kettle would have been nice but not essential. Pillows, it was very difficult to sleep on those long and uncomfortable pillows. You must change them! Staff were not really helpful. Water seeps from showers onto bathroom floors. Switched rooms due to this and while second room was a bit better, it still occurred so it is definitely a design flaw. No kettle and bit of a smell at first. The bathroom sink was very small, no hairdryer. After making my Booking reservation I received a fraudulent request to re-confirm my credit card data, which looked as if it was sent by the hotel. I was careful and I refused to provide the data, despite the risk that my booking would e cancelled. It didn't affect my booking, so in that sense all fine. But when I raised this at the hotel, the receptionist was not interested in learning more about this security issue. That was a bit disappointing, as I cannot be sure if my personal data is safe. Room very small. Dirty and a lot of hair everywhere!!! The bed sheets from one bed were not changed, I guess, because they were full of hair and wrinkled. Small room, tiny bathroom, no fridge. Walls were quite thin so could hear next door, but overall shocked with how nice and comfortable the room Was for the price!! I think the price was excessive for what we got, but perhaps it was just a busy weekend. The room was super tiny and it was hard to even move around the bed. The place is very basic, no breakfast or any other amenity (only a vending machine at reception), tiny lobby. Room felt and smelled damp and musty. The internet was pretty poor In the bathroom were not enough storage possibilities plus no towel rack for the hand towels. Curtains weren't big enough to block the lights completely. Stairs and elevator are narrow. Room is small but you can manage your luggage and stuff with big wardrobe. Very tiny room and not very clean. Room has no hairdryer. The pillow is a little flat for my taste. because it was so central it was quite noisy.. small room but it is not so small. Nothing couldn't fault it.
