Pros: Staff pleasant, nice garden, nice little room touches ie sherry, robe, water, hot drinks, close to airport

Pros: Lovely place, nice staff and fab breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautiful brick with ivy and lots of character in a country setting only 10 minutes from Manchester airport, the home-cooked breakfast was excellent (I had scrambled eggs on toast with big juicy mushrooms), the staff was attentive, and the pub nearby was a pleasant place to relax and eat after an evening walk across the river and through the fields.
7.0 Good
Pros: Did not have breakfast. The double bed was a ok not a lot of room too move around the room maybe a smaller chair.
Cons: Sadly when we stayed there was flooding which cut off the power in the early afternoon. Which meant we could not have any hot drinks or a shower plus in the dark as nobody came to our aid until the morning with a small light by which time the power was on the next day in the afternoon.

Flexible breakfast times (starting early if needed!). The breakfast itself was perfect as well, cooked to order and checked if anything else/more was needed. Fresh fruit available. Furthermore the whole house as a nice and relaxed atmosphere. I loved the view from my room over the countryside. I would for sure return!

We booked it as we were attending an event at Tatton Park and it was perfect! The room was just lovely and cosy. The bed was comfy and really snug. Towelling robes, fluffy towels. The en-suite was very snug but had everything we needed. The breakfast was great! Cooked full English with toast along with jams, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal etc. The owners were super friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Love to support a farm rather than a chain hotel.
Cons: The farmhouse was built several hundred years ago, so some door frames are low and require ducking!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome, Sharon is the perfect host! There is a seating area in the garden, that we took full advantage of when we arrived and it was sunny! Birtles Farm also has a lovely residents lounge, which is very comfy and cosy. We had booked two rooms, both of which were spotlessly clean, and the beds very very comfy. Breakfast is a real treat with a great choice of cereals, homemade muesli, yoghurts and fruit, and the cooked breakfast was gorgeous and set us up for the day!
Cons: Couldn’t fault a thing!

The breskfast were prepared with love. They made sure you are satisfied with what they are offering. The place is more magnificent due to these lovely owners
5.0 Okay
Pros: Owners were very welcoming & breakfast was excellent
Cons: We had a swarm of ants (Flying & crawling) in our room which the owner did try to get rid of with some sort of insecticide spray which triggered a coughing asthma attack with my little boy that we were able to deal with using his own medication. I did inform the owner the following morning that I wasn’t happy as none of us got hardly any sleep because my children were not happy to sleep in a room infested with ants. I felt that the least the owner could’ve done was move us into other rooms especially as it seemed evident in the morning that the guest house was only half full. I was not offered any discount for the ant problem so because of the ants, I will not be returning to this guesthouse.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beautiful house, the rooms decorated with assortment of books (for avid readers), lovely & spacious space( with a fine touch) & topping it all off with sprinkles of French culture! Simple and yet elegantly done!!! The owners made us feel incredibly at home. We WILL be using this guest house again in future. Thank you Team Park View Guest House.

Cons: Not sure about the bath in the bedroom, but different! Would have liked tea and coffee in the room instead of just outside, but could have asked the staff to make it.Parking can be very difficult as both pubs always busy. Time it right and it is fine. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: Large rooms. freshly cooked breakfast. Very pleasant surroundings.
Cons: Creaky floorboards. Carpet on landing needs replacing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are lovely and the location was great as we were breaking our journey halfway from Wales to Yorkshire. It was peaceful and quiet most of the time tho proximity to the airport made for a bit of aircraft noise in daytime hours. We have stayed before and hadnt noticed this in a different room. Breakfast is a very very good one. Nicely cooked and everything I like to eat. Every other room except ours, was as we remembered, lovely, clean, warm, well decorated and very pleasant. It was only one night so not bad.
Cons: The room we had was disappointingly grubby looking and looked tatty. It was clean enough in one way but they obviously chucked a tin of pale peach paint all over it for hopefully just now, woodwork, walls, everywhere. The curtains were thin and let all the early light in. The dresser was broken and coming away from its legs. I did mention it to our hosts. I would stop here again tho and try not to get this room but if I had a young family I would probably be glad of this room as the beds are clean and comfy, 1 double and 2 singles in plenty of room with a good shower and toilet. It was nice and warm too.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Felicity & Tony run a wonderful B&B, room 7 was a good size for two, excellent breakfast and recommendation for dinner. Location for Tatton Park great too.
Cons: A larger screen TV for the size of the room perhaps. And flannels for the shower.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were excellent. The house was charming and peaceful
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts. Full Breakfast breakfast great even if beans was a bit too small portion.
Cons: Froghtened of the dog which i leant is very friendly. I guess dogs scare me since one bite me years ago.

Pros: Breakfast had excellent choice and we had the cooked breakfast which was superb. We had more tea and toast offered, but were too full. Karl and Karen were attentive hosts and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Unfortunately we had to leave early for our flight so did not eat breakfast. We didn't meet the hosts as we arrived late but on phoning them they were very helpful and guided us through the check in process. Lovely comfortable accommodation for three. Huge bed with lovely clean bedding. Fan in room with temperature control unit. Tea coffee making facilities. Plentiful supply of tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Lovely soft towels.

Pros: The room was good and bed very comfortable but was an attic room so the roof height could be an issue for some. The full English breakfast was good. Recommendations and sample menus for nearby eating places were useful.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is tastefully decorated. Lovey feel. Really nice hotel.
Cons: Breakfast was served until 10:30, however we arrived before 10am and there was hardly nothing left on the breakfast buffet with no intention of replenishing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The tower suite we stayed in was amazing. A little gem of a hotel.
Cons: Pillows were far to chunky. Great for sitting up in bed watching telly but not for resting your head and sleeping on. Literally my only comment for feedback. Loved every minute of our stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food is amazing. Make sure you get dinner here and breakfast! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was a good size.
Cons: We were asked at check in if we wanted a paper for the morning, we did but we didn't get it. Although this is a minor thing, the hotel should be on top of this sort of thing. The breakfast was amazing, but there was only one waitress and she was rushed off her feet and kept forgetting things. The check in process was fine but we felt quite rushed. This is not a negative but should be mentioned.. there is no lift, just so people are aware when booking.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast Local Pub Local Restaurant Free off road Car Park.
Cons: Got Bathroom with Private Use was hoping for en-suite (I'll have to read descriptions more carefully) Wi-Fi seemed Slow for upload.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the spacious rooms. Great pub down the road so didn't have to drive anywhere a gain. Hosts were lovely and everything had been thought of.
Cons: We struggled to find the place as GPS wasn't accurate but used information from booking.com and the property itself and got there safely.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This converted post office accomodates only two guest groups, but that is part of its distinctive charm, which combines privacy, luxurious facilities and a very warm welcome from Paul and Michelle. As they say, the chances are that you will enter as guests but leave as friends. My rooms included a totally private ground-floor lounge and an exclusive bathroom. The surrounding countryside is full of scenic attractions, including a good pub. If you stay, you might feel that you don't want to publicise it in case it's booked out next time.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great host and a home away from home. Everything was great for a BB stay.
Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Michelle and Paul are so welcoming and friendly, as is Ralph, nothing was too much trouble. Our stay was everything we wanted and more ... we had a superb relaxing and chilled night away from all the ‘routine life’ at home. The private lounge area was more than we expected and had everything we needed and the bed was so comfy....l didn’t want to get up this morning. I’ve already booked another visit and this one we are taking my Mum and Dad too as a special anniversary pressie to them. I would without a doubt recommend this to everyone Friends and Family ... by far it’s the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in, in the U.K. We will defo be returning time and time again .... even if it’s just for the hospitality..... monthly visits here we come. Thank you Michelle and Paul for having us and making us feel very special.... see you both very soon love Zoe xx
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like .... everything exceeded what we hoped for and nothing could be improved upon ... it was too good to be true
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place run by lovely people. Excellent stay albeit a short one night stop.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely warm welcome. Comfy bed and extras
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A warm welcome, a fantastic property and the loveliest of personal touches. Michelle was a lovely attentive host, from checking on my dietary requirements to putting Christmas decorations out because she knew we were on a Christmas present night out. Also, as the original Princess and The Pea, this was the comfiest bed I've slept in in a very long time!
Cons: Not much to say here
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodation, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, location, warm comfortable feeling.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy, view great, shower excellent, hostess and host lovely. Short walk to good pub meal. Canal and estate close enough to walk to and explore. All very laid back, relaxed and friendly. I liked having the use of the breakfast room /lounge and the key to the front door so we could come and go at will.
Cons: Didn't mind not having a cooked breakfast as there was a good choice of cereals and fruit but I felt we could have had a more interesting choice of nice breads and cheeses and perhaps charcuterie.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Quiet. Private.
Cons: The blind on the main window was broken and couldn't be lowered, so I felt a bit exposed! Couldn't get a wifi network. Couldn't find any hangers for clothes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brooklands Lodge is the best B&B we have stayed in on our many visits to the UK. The host was very friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate, roomy and bright. The decor was beautiful and we love the high ceilings. The in-room breakfast selections were delicious and well stocked. It's only a couple minutes walk to the tram, which was very handy. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning there in the future.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, well decorated, comfortable, staff
Cons: N/A
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolutely perfect for getting into the centre of Manchester with a tram stop just 100m up the road. The lodge provides for off street parking, so you can park up, and leave the car where it is and use public transport, much better than driving around the centre of Manchester.
Cons: Nothing. The room is a little dated, but it does not impact on your stay. The shower could have been a little more powerful but this is only a minor criticism.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was really close to Brooklands station which was good. They were good at dealing with any issues that we had whilst staying there.
Cons: Check in was a bit slow, we waited outside the property for a while before someone came to help us check in.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Self serve breakfast in room made it easy for our early departure. Friendly welcome. Great shower!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms and very clean
Cons: Service in the restaurant wasn’t the best , very slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Couldn’t fault our stay in the slightest, happy, friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. Went in feeling tired, stressed and burnt out, after one night in the Mere left feeling completely relaxed and unwound.
Cons: Very difficult to fault this place, and we often try to be as critical as possible wherever we stay! The only minor criticism was there was no visible way to turn off the heated rail in the bathroom and this made it very warm in there, but did not disrupt our stay at all. Would highly recommend this place for a nice, relaxing break where staff will ensure you’re looked after.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, rooms are nice and spacious we had a room overlooking the golf course & it was beautiful. My partner played golf and I used the spa which is fantastic. Will definitely be returning in the near future

8.9 Excellent (676 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Rose & Crown Inn in Knutsford, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Tatton Park and Gauntlet Birds of Prey. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and good breakfast. Very clean accommodation and very friendly staff
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location for town
Cons: Parking at rear of property and difficult to find as it was in a completely different road. Spaces first come first served so we had to park on pay and display for first part of our stay. Breakfast luke warm. Another guest mentioned this to waitress and ours came out the same, couldn't be bothered to complain. Toilet took 4 attempts to flush each time it was used. Sash window broken and propped up with wine cooler which fell out of window when we tried to close it!!! When we told member of staff she said building was very old and they were waiting for sash cord to be mended - not really our problem and potential Health and Safety issue.
6.5 Good
Pros: Friendly helpful staff
Cons: Noisy bedroom at the front
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Rose and Crown is handily situated on the main Street in Knutsford. It is only a short walk from the train station. Our welcome was excellent. Very friendly staff quickly checked us in and helped us to our room. We were booked in for an evening meal even though the restaurant was busy. The food was superb - both dinner and breakfast. The pub stocks great beers and wines.
Cons: Our room was on the small side. To be fair it was listed as a small standard room. There was enough room for an overnight stay, which was what we wanted. The bathroom was spacious and adequate for our needs. The room was noisy - partly because Knutsford is on the flight path for Manchester Airport and partly because there was what sounded like an air-conditioning unit which operated intermittently.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything you needed in rooms friendly helpful staff
Cons: Nothing to dislike
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Noisy outside room, room and bathroom tatty and felt dirty. Kitchen vent annoying
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the rustic nature of the whole premises and its central location. The staff were extremely friendly. The food was very good
Cons: Although I booked a small room it was very small and unfortunately circumstances outwith the control of the staff meant no hot water for a shower in the morning. But these things happen, and things were being repaired on our departure
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Tired room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here once before, and both times it has been excellent. It is a lovely place, the staff are very friendly and the breakfast also very nice. It is a great central location with the added bonus of on site parking.
