10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere, the staff, the silence, the decoration, the authenticity.
Cons: Breakfast was the weakest link though not really a problem. The juices were not from fresh fruit which I regret. The coffee was "Nescafe", something that I really don't like.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice property, the pool was nice. TV had enough channels. Quiet at night. Close from Braga so you have a lot of opportunities to sight see there.
Cons: Wi fi was not amazing. You had to grab the car to get somewhere interesting to see.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and so helpful! Breakfast was delicious, especially the coffee! Would highly recommended Casa Lata!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Family run hotel where they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Very welcoming, including complimentary vinho verde and snacks. The large house is adjacent to a vineyard and has been renovated using high quality materials and keeping original details intact. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, would definitely go again if in the Braga area.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice medium sized accommodation, housed in a lovely old stone former winery. Big rooms, great breakfast. Staff was very friendly, we were welcomed with a nice cold glass of vinho verde and some meat and cheese which was nice, along with recommendations for dinner that night. The vineyard tour the next morning was quite short, not expansive, just a look into the room with the vats, and did not include a tasting of all their wines.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice property with winery next door. The owners and staff are warm and friendly - they really go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The location is a perfect home base for exploring neighboring towns/cities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is awesome, best value for money ever. Super friendly and welcoming staff. A beautiful scenery with a great pool and lovely rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a welcoming place. Everything was high quality, and the staff were so friendly we felt like house guests. All the facilities were excellent, and the little touches on top made a good experience great. Also within easy travelling distance of Braga, Guimarães, Barcelos, Ponte de Lima and the beautiful Gires national park.
Cons: Nothing could be better.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: What I enjoyed most was basically everything, and that is not something I say lightly. It is normally very easy to find small or significant flaws in hotels but in this case I have only praise. The area is quiet and calm but you need a car to get their since it is not within walking distance to a town. But this is a small, boutique hotel surrounded by vineyards in the countryside so that is a plus I think. The whole hotel is quite new, beautifully decorated in a rustic, confortable yet modern way. Our room was one of several that overlooked the pool. It was spacious with a large comfortable bed, large closet for our clothes, great bathroom and large windows letting in plenty of sun. We were there during Easter so the pool was not warm yet but the pool area was very nice and we sat in the sun and had wine and different cheeses for our afternoon snack in the sun. The entire staff were always helpful, happy and provided excellent service. There is also a wonderful sitting areas in the basement with an open fireplace and bar that use to be where the grapes were squeezed by foot. TYou see this hotel is also a winery making both white and red wine thought they focus mainly on white wine. We were given a short tour and taste of their wines as well. Food and wine are two of my favorite hobbies and I am, according to my friend, a very good cook. That said I was very impressed with the hotels breakfast. Fresh bread, eggs right from the farm and made to order, pancakes, yoghurt, cheeses, all more all served in a very quaint and comfortable room that felt like home. On a warm morning one can sit outside on the terrace and the service was quick and personal. Although the hotel does not serve dinner the staff and owners where only too happy to point us towards some great restuarants in the area. The hotel is also a short drive from nice towns like Braga and Porte de Lima as well as the national park. In short, my wife and I will definely be coming back.
Cons: I can not think of anything at this hotel that I did not like but if the hotel would offer dinners once or twice a week I would most certainly eat there too!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Casa Ponte de Porto. The beautifully converted old farmhouse is located in a very beautiful area and is a good base for exploring the area. We were warmly welcomed by Paula and Jose João and stayed in a comfortable (very clean) double room with a large terrace overlooking the Roman bridge and the mountains. You also had a large shared living room with TV, pool table at your disposal (They even made it possible for us to watch the football match Netherlands England through their own laptop.) The beautiful quiet garden has a large swimming pool and several places to chill. There is also a beautiful Espigueiros in the garden, a granary, typical for this area. There is enough private parking. The extensive breakfast was super. Every morning there was also delicious homemade cake. We were here for 3 nights but would have liked to have stayed longer to view the surroundings and enjoy the beautiful garden. Conclusion: if you want to visit the surroundings of Braga and Guimarães then Casa Ponte de Porto is highly recommended. Paula and Jose João, Thank you very much for your hospitality and good care!

Pros: Our host was extremely welcoming. The place is absolutely gorgeous - I would love to live there! Great job of combining the old with modern. Felt very comfortable and secure in the home. Breakfast was great and a lot of selection.
Cons: Only thing was no hot water for showering. Might have been because everyone was using it at the same time in the morning but made for very quick showers!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast, warm welcome and location. The rooms are perfect for a overnight stay or more time.
Cons: Absolutly nothing, great welcome with full tour of the quinta.
7.0 Good
Pros: Charming location, beautiful house, lovely room with nice furniture
Cons: The owner only spoke Portuguese, not one word English or French, and there were a lot of communication problems because of that. The internet/wifi did not work. The beds were very hard.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The very kind son of the owner gave us a great tour through the majestic building. The fact that he only spoke Portuguese and we no Portuguese at all was completely irrelevant. It was the passionate warm reception that counted. The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast with its fresh fruit and fresh orange juice, delicious.
Cons: It’s a beautiful but remote location. So you can’t go out for a walk. It you want to go somewhere, you need the car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property totally exceeded our expectations. It's a real medieval manor house, with their own vineyards and orange tree groves. There are lots of antique furniture and utensils. The house is thoroughly modernized though: electricity is everywhere, etc. But the modification is done very carefully so the medieval spirit is not disrupted.
Cons: The hosts didn't speak a word of English, at all. Not knowing Portuguese or Spanish, we had real trouble communicating with them.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The site is beautiful! Both the landscape and the hotel itself. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I would happily come back and recommend this hotel.
Cons: There are not many options to eat nearby.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The soul of the property is the owner, Mr. Rocha. Always trying to make the stay as pleasant as possible, going out of his way to find information for the guests. His welcoming with nuts and local wine, his freshly squeezed orange juice from his own orchards, were remarkable. The room was well furnished and inviting, although the bathroom was a tad small and took some time for hot water to flow.
Cons: Lack of WiFi in the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The staff, the room, the breakfast, the whole place... it was amazing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The whole building and property are really beautiful. The quietness os enormous. The owner, Mr. Manuel Rocha, is a charming host, always interested in giving their guests a memorable experience. I will certainly comeback
Cons: Nothing to sign
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms, large clean swimming pool, very friendly owners, excellent wine they shared with us during meals. The place is really beautiful. The best we had in Portugal
Cons: All was good, nothing to complain
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful premises, clean and spacious rooms, nice breakfast, nice view. Quiet place. Possibility to easily reach restaurants in the vicinity.
Cons: Sunbeds at the swimming pool are very near the water due to limited space and pool is unattended. Unfortunately there were noisy and bad-mannered guests who kept on diving and splashing water on everyone around the pool. A "no diving" rule, pool supervision or increasing the space for sunbeds could help. Staff only speak portuguese.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic, very friendly and very helpfull hosts. Very beautiful B&B with beautifull accomodation. Very good breakfast and plenty of choice. The beds are kingsize, so a lot of speace. A place to visit again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing rural home, dating from the 1800's and refurbished to today's top standards. The rooms are modestly decorated but with good taste, while the common areas are a true museum - inside, you can find old telephones, radios and vinyls, as well as religious art pieces (the region has a strong religious connection); outside, a traditional, manual water well or a century-old olive tree set the scenery. You may also walk between the home's own produce (the source of most of what you find in the outstanding breakfast) and some farm animals. Regarding the location, it is isolated and calm but also in a privileged place between Braga, Guimarães, Ponte de Lima and Gerês' biosphere reserve. If you're spending a few days in the region, this is an ideal option.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an excellent 12 days long stay with accomodation and breakfast in this fantastic place, a well modernised old manor, classy and comfortable, with a big garden and a well sized swimming pool. A perfect place for relaxation in the quiet area of beautiful hills near Braga, which is only at 20 minutes drive. Filomena, who is the manager of the place, is an exceptional kind person and her care for us was highly appreciated. We had the pleasure to meet her husband Carlos too, his advices about nearby attractions and routes were very useful. Thank you so much!! Two restaurants in the immediate vicinity are available, with a good menu of local food. Having a rented car made easy for us to visit many beautiful and interesting turistic points of Northern Portugal - Geres National Park, Ponte de Lima, Porto, Braga, Tomar, and the famous vino verde vineyards, just to mention some, and enjoy the beach as well (approx 35 minutes drive to Apulia). We would love to go back!

Breakfast was fresh each day. There is an excellent restaurant nearby, and also mini supermarket and very good patisserie. The scenery around is delightful.

Our room was very clean and everything looked newly renovated. At breakfast, Sandra really went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and was exceptionally gracious and attentive. The continental breakfast was excellent and we definitely didn't go hungry. We were really sad that we weren't staying longer. We also couldn't believe the price we paid for such a high standard. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, lovely swimming pool facilities with deck chairs and parasols. Didn’t have time to make use of tennis courts, BBQ area or bicycles as this was only a brief visit to attend an event in Prado. Did manage a game of pool and there’s also a lounge area with TV. Would definitely recommend for families and would love to return with a group of friends. Breakfast time normally 9am, but we needed to be out by 8.30am. Hosts kindly prepared breakfast for us earlier, which was very much appreciated.
Cons: Room was warm as no air con, although there was a fan available which helped a little
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such an amazing place! It surprised us from the moment we arrived as we didn’t know what to expect, but let me tell you, this is a little piece of heaven! Beautiful grounds, amazing hospitality from the moment we arrived, Leonel showed us around, explaining about breakfast and even going above to prepare breakfast for us 1 hour early next morning! I don’t know what more I can say but a gig thank you, we were sad to leave and we will definitely stay here next time we come in the area!

Pros: The property was excellent with more facilities than we imagined. The proprietor was Uber helpful and gave us a lift in his own car to visit a local restaurant. They put on an early breakfast when we had an early start and gave us a free bottle of his local wine with our evening meal. There is no evening meal available but full facilities to cook your own
Cons: It only personal preference but the bed was too hard for us. This would not put me off visiting again
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast, great staff. Rooms were very clean. Garden beautiful and well kept.
Cons: It was really hot in the room. At night the outside air would cool down, but the heat would stay in the room. No airconditioning.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful architecture and atmosphere.
Cons: Dinner is good, but nothing special.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The building itself and the surrounding grounds were 10/10 beautiful-- I don't think I'll ever have the chance stay in such a unique, historical property again. The view from our window was out of this world. The staff was more than accommodating and eager to make sure we had a perfect stay. There was a lot of selection at breakfast, so it's really worth the price. The room was very nice, even the art was to our liking-- The welcome bottle of prosecco is also a really nice touch.
Cons: lol, super creepy music playing always throughout the entire building, at a pretty loud level... made it weird to ever eat inside. It made us feel like we had to whisper all the time. The food at dinner is super overpriced and VERY mediocre. Pillows were not so good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great setting within an old monastery. Good base for Geres National Park. Food was excellent.
Cons: Pool was not heated, so a bit too cold. Hotel front of house areas were a bit basic and staff numbers were low, but overall the simplicity is in keeping with the monastery setting.
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel was beautifully restored and the suite was spacious with great views.
Cons: Staff attitude was average. Initially, there was a misunderstanding with the price charged for the suite and even though the situation was resolved, we were not treated very politely. Also, the hotel should upgrade their first aid kit, as they only had the very very basics, which is not adequate for a 5* hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stunning accommodation, beautiful location, very comfortable and spacious. Staff always friendly and helpful, very clean room with such character.
Cons: I think you would benefit by having an increased option of meal choices on the evening menu. Please look at the safety of the steps going down to the pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere, ancient with the luxuory of today Great place to stay in a beautiful area of Portugal Good restaurant, nice pool and very friendly personal.
Cons: Our stay was to short, but that’s our own mistake.

Cons: Nothing Bar could have been more cosy
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very quite place, stunning building, friendly staff. Perfect and unforgettable stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place is an amazing atmosphere. Location is perfect for those that want to explore Gerês National Park. Breakfast is superb and dinner menu was delicious, be adventurous and try some traditional food. Staff is friendly and helpful at all times.
Cons: Overall no red flags. We just struggle to regulate the air-conditioning to cold and wouldn't stop giving warm air while set to 15 degrees (it was unusually warm for the time of the year). We flagged to reception but they didn't seem to be able to solve it. We presume this was adjusted centrally and change it would affect all rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The architecture the peace fantastic restfull stay
