I attempted to cancel one week prior to the date of the trip becasue our plans had changed. I was told I could not cancel and would be charged the full amount. Because I could not go I lost over $130. I will never use kayak or Holiday Inn again.
Very nice, clean and comfortable room in a good location. Good breakfast choices in attractive surroundings. Elliptical in workout room a plus. Warm pool! Evening staff could be more friendly and helpful.
The room size for the price was great! Room was clean and very organized. All furniture great condition! Saw some bad wall paper work around a light fixture over the vanity. Stuck out like a sore thumb, wondered why the small overwhelmingly obvious mistake of peeling wall wasn't fixed. When they restocked my towels they did not take the used face towels.
The hotel is in a great location. Close to everything but set back from the main road quite a bit so it's quieter. We are a young couple with a one year old; we stayed here for 3 nights while in town visiting family for Thanksgiving. We had to ask for more towels every day because they only gave us two bath towels - enough for the two of us adults but not for our little guy to take a bath after rubbing food in his hair every day. I went to the front desk and the worker sent ME, the guest, to go talk to the housekeeping staff myself, which I thought was sort of inappropriate. Isn't that the front desk worker's job? Also, our shower curtain rod was bent so that the curtain wouldn't close all the way on both sides, leaving probably a 6-8" gap on either side so our floor got soaked. We were right by a door to the outside which didn't close all the way, so we heard it slamming/bouncing late at night and early in the morning. If someone could simply fix the door so that it closed properly, the heater wouldn't be blasting in that stairwell and the door wouldn't slam so loudly. The free breakfast was nice, but I wish it ran later in the morning than 9am. It was a challenge to get all three of us out to the lobby that early. One morning, we had our "do not disturb" tag on the door til probably noon because we got a late start to the day. We were gone til after dinner; yet our room never got cleaned that day. I would think the housekeeping staff would make a note to come back later and check on the rooms that they hadn't gotten to. Noon isn't that late.
I like the convenience of the hotel to restaurants and shopping. My room had a refrigerator and microwave oven. Friendly staff. I would stay again. The room was not filthy, but could have been cleaner. I cleaned the bathtub the chrome fixtures looked a little soap scummy. I had to have my key card reactivated twice in two days.
The room appeared to be fine. However, in the morning my wife discovered an insect crawling on the sheet which turned out to be a bed bug full of her blood since she was the only one bitten in two places. We examined the mattress and found another bug which appeared to be dead, but began to move. We called the front desk and asked the desk clerk to come to Room 106. We showed him the bugs and evidence on the mattress where a bed bug had previously been killed. He apologized and stated the Manager would be in at 8:00 am and he would tell him or her. We could not wait for the manager because we had a funeral to attend. We have not had any response from the Days Inn.
The value of the rooms The rooms had been smoking rooms and smelled like smoke.
Good location and friendly staff. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in room, which was convenient. Hallways and parking lot were well lighted and clean. Breakfast was adequate, with protein (hard boiled egg, peanut butter) and hot (waffles) food available in addition to cereal and bagles. Cleanliness is an issue. Stained sheets and pillow cases, hair in the bathtub and on the toilet, and a musty smell to the room. While security seemed good overall, the locks on the side doors furthest from the desk looked as though they had been disabled.
Not a whole bit to like about this place. bugs crawling all around, beds so soft you go to floor. TV old style tube type and couldn't see it from 5 ft away. Bathroom toilet ran all night long, needed new everything inside it. Shower one of the worse. people walking around on outside walkway and could hear each one. never never again. I'll use 200 night motel before I go to this place again.
The room in the picture looks great. After getting confirmation email, saw reservation was for America's Best Value Inn, not Motel 6, and with their address. Price was the same as Motel 6 and I thought there was a labeling mix up and thought no more of it. When we arrived later than expected from the airport at America's Best Value Inn they did not have our reservation or name in the system. Being as late as it was and checking our bank statements to see if we had been charged for a we ended up having to re-book a hotel room at a more expensive price. The hotel room ended up being filthy and smelling faintly of smoke, not worth the price we paid for it and trouble we went through.
Cost was reasonable for one night Not enough tables and chairs for eating in the morning and some confusion checking out--coffee maker in room had water inside from who knows how long ago, and it was slimy, but coffee was good downstairs.
Very friendly staff, late check out The directional signs leading to the property were horrible.
The staff was excellent. The beds were old and needed replacing - as well as bedding.
The breakfast bar was well stocked. Bathtub and the sink did not drain. The stopper in the bathtub was broken. The bathtub was stained and looked dirty. i refused to take a shower in standing dirty water. The bathroom sink filled up with water as I shaved. The room was old. The management was apathetic and did not offer a refund. I did not see any other guests at breakfast. I guess the hotels reputation preceded it.
This hotel was ok. it was not great or awesome or anything like that. From the outside it did not look like a nice hotel, the lobby was better but then the rooms all have huge picture windows that go into the hallway. The bathroom was small but it was ok. The breakfast was very good. I got this for a paintball event and it worked fine for us but I would not take my wife there.
Booked this hotel, as a last minute trip to the casino. The lobby looked nice, the room was not terrible the beds seemed soft. So we go to turn on the air, and there is not thermostat. Although there is a switch on the wall that is labeled Hi, Low, Off. So I flip it on Hi wait, and wait, and wait for it to cool down. Call the front desk to confirm this is the air conditioning he tells me that is, and it will cool down shortly, It's been about 2hrs we return from the pool and call the front again desk they proceed to inform us our room temperature is based on the out side conditions, (rainy and muggy) and the only relief we get is fan to cool off the room. Not very accommodating - especially when we are paying to be accommodated. After coming back from the casino we realized there was not a refrigerator or microwave in the room (as advertised) so if you expect to have either you should confirm that prior to checking into your room. And finally this hotel showed up as a pet friend hotel from my advanced search, it is not. They charge a $300 fee if caught with pet on premises. So after booking the room we had to make other arrangements for our dog. The breakfast sounded appealing but was not stocked @ 8:00am on Sunday morning trays where empty and kids where screaming in the lobby. I will not be returning to the facility nor will I recommend it to anyone ever. Never in my life have I stayed in a hotel that I could not adjust the temperature, simply ridiculous. The staff seemed not to care about quality or servicing the customer, as for the manager could not be reached and no business cards were available. It's a shame b/c the beds were comfy and close to the casino. Don't waste your money!
Shower, toilet and sink were clean. Cobwebs were on ceiling corner above door where wallpaper border was peeling off. Bed was lop-sided--one side was sunken in. I felt as if the room wasn't really clean, i.e., bedspread and carpet. I think motel was former Holiday Inn before new Holiday Inn Express was built--can't speak for other rooms, but my room needed to be upgraded/remodeled. The room rate was very reasonable, but I wouldn't stay there again. There was free breakfast, but I didn't eat there--I just wanted to leave.
Very dirty and in major need of updating. Bathroom was horrible. No shampoo, when I asked at the front desk I was informed that I could buy some at one of the gas stations or the truck stop down the road.
Had cable Cable tv sound wasnt working well. No door in the bathroom. There was a pipe noise all night. The walls are paper thin and could hear the other room conversation. There was an unfixed hole in the wall.
