This hotel gives you the old fashioned French hotel experience. The breakfast / dinning room was quite charming. We enjoyed the traditional breakfast of bread, croissant, jam & coffee. If we had been about at lunchtime we would have liked to have lunch there, the menu looked interesting.
It was quite noisy, we were woken by street cleaning & washing. The hotel is reasonably priced, so don't expect too much in the way of luxury. As other people have said there is a peculiar smell in the bathroom.
This is a very nice family run hotel in the heart of Arles, very convenient for viewing the beautiful town on foot. It has superbly helpful staff/owners. No breakfast included but there are many cafes etc in the vacinity which are perfect for coffee and croissants. Location is safe and secure.
we could not find the remote control for the tv in our room and the hotelier did not find it important to replace this. Showers are a bit on the small size also.
Pathetic hotel!!! Usurious price for a hotel of this type. It is a pity that it isn't lift there (especially for luggage), 4rd floor without lift!! 70 euro per night it is too expensive. + Bad quality of the bedclothes. Finally, breakfast was disgusting - the same from-a-box waffles, the and 1 croissant.
The balcony overlooked one of the site streets. Conveniently located to walk to the tourists sites. Enjoyed the market on Saturday.
The mattress was in poor shape.
A fantastic situation for visiting Arles. Excellent facilities and friendly staff
The owners could bot do enough for us. On the last day, in the unseasonal snows of Arles, we were concerned about our air and road travel arrangements. The owner made a call to the loal Hertz agent on our behalf and clarified the position. We enjoyed our lunch at the relais on the day that we spent in town.
There was sometimes a drainage odour form the pipes in the bathroom. This may be related to the unseasonal weather conditions.
The male owner did everything from booking, loaned me his TV, and cooked the restaurant's lunch. Location on a walking street was convenient to the tourist info office, post office, buses and high interest museums, etc.
Would have been much easier if more staff spoke some English.
The hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was very nice and the lcoation was convienient. It was a very good value.
Our whole stay was very pleasant.
Nice little hotel, conveniently situated, only a short walk from the port. Clean bedroom/nice staff -TV didn't work at first but after taking the batteries out of the remote and putting them back in again all was restored! The bedroom was on the front of the hotel, and as one who likes to sleep with it open found it slightly noisy on the road, first thing in the morning. With it shut though, there was no problem.Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that, but there was an old lady who ran a fresh fruit juice kiosk, just a block down the hill, facing the small park which supplied a nice peach juice!
Room was nicely decorated, spacious and good beds. Reception friendly.
Need to advise re parking before market days, rather than late the night before. Also, plumbing needs attention and water wasn't hot - did advise patronne. Luckily it was summer.
