Pros: Mary runs a home away from home. It's a beautiful house that is immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Mary is a very likeable woman who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We were at a function in the local hotel where we left our car for the night but the following morning Mary insisted that she drive us back up to save us having to walk with bags. I recommend this family friendly b&b and we will definitely be back in the future.
Cons: There was nothing about this b&b that we didn't like.

Breakfast was excellent. Good location and we took the owner up on his kind offer to drop us up to the wedding reception, saving us the taxi fare. Easy to get a taxi back later that night and only cost €5. The garden was beautiful and everything you need and would expect was in the room.

The room was lovely and clean, and big, towels were so fluffy in the bathroom and they had even left us some shower gel in the shower (we didn't need it but it was good in case you had forgotten). The bed was sooooo comfortable aswell! Breakfast the next morning was beautiful. I had the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. They did have continental bits and pieces and cereal but so glad we didn't partake because the cooked breakfast alone was more than enough. Plenty of space to park the car too and gates were closed in the evening too which was good.

Pros: Ross Castle B&B in Mountnugent was a real treat! Wonderful hosts and the grounds were lovely. This old castle tower contained an eclectic array of decor to add charm and whimsy. The rooms were comfortable and gave us a feel of the old world. We stayed in the O'Reilly Room and it was spacious with our own ensuite. Very comfortable! We also attended a banquet with other guests and were treated to quite a feast. The food (dinner and breakfast) were outstanding. Surprisingly, out of the 10 guests, 6 of us were from Wisconsin (and none of us couples knew one another). Pretty crazy considering we were in another country and in a very remote rural area; small world! I highly recommend a stay here.
Cons: Difficult to locate, GPS did not assist. With that being said; it was part of the adventure to get there. What an experience driving the rural roads.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the minute our family arrived at The Rectory, to the moment we pulled away, we were amazed by the hospitality, generosity, friendliness, personal touches, and attentiveness. While the accommodations and amenities were truly wonderful, and the town of Trim is definitely a must-see, the owner, Sandy, was absolutely the best part of our experience at The Rectory! She is charming, gracious, personable and SO funny!!! We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed meeting her. She treated us like old friends from the start. We felt extremely welcome and comfortable during our entire stay and wish we lived closer so we could enjoy her company more often. She is the ultimate hostess and went WAY beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and more! Our room was very clean, spacious and elegant. After 2 weeks on the road, we especially appreciated having access to the backyard and the separate upstairs sitting room/kitchen area to relax and not have to eat out again for dinner. (There's a great little grocery store across the street). We enjoyed an easy walk to the city center and explored the Cathedral, castle, and the river walk out to the ruins at Newtown Abby, which were stunning. The next morning, before we headed to the airport, Sandy treated us to an incredible breakfast in the tea room downstairs. (Her homemade Guinness bread and scones are so delicious!) It was quite a feast and we felt like royalty! Our drive back in to Dublin was easy and took under an hour. The Rectory in Trim was the best place to spend our last night in Ireland. My husband, kids and I all agree it was the most favorite overnight stay of our entire vacation.
Cons: Not a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our favorite stay in our 23 day trip. Sandier was amazing and the house is too! We would go back in a second.
Cons: Not a thing.

Pros: Fabulous accommodation. Rooms were beautifully furnished. As a family with two young children The Old Rectory was perfect for us. Breakfast was self service in an adjoining room which was stocked with everything we could possibly need for our stay, including a huge flat screen tv with Sky and Netflix, a large recliner couch and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. This room, and all the facilities within, were available to us at any time during our stay. Outside there were badminton rackets and a net, swings, a picnic/ outdoor eating area and a garden to play in. I would definitely recommend the Old Rectory for families travelling with young children- it was a totally stress free experience. Our host was extremely friendly, welcoming and generous with her time. We will definitely be back!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unfortunately we did not get to sample the breakfast, but the spread available looked magnificent, and I really wish we had been up for breakfast! The house was clean and tidy, it served our needs adequately, and is a B&B I would happily book again if the need arose. The lady who greeted us was so lovely and welcoming, and was again lovely at check-out the next day. Payment was as easy as anything, no issues at all. I would happily recommend this B&B. Adequate parking facilities and in a nice quiet area, you wouldn't know it was just off the main Dublin road.
Cons: Nothing I can think of. Was a lovely stay!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: We have stayed at many B&B's. This is the worst. The room was tiny. The bathroom was super tiny. The furniture looked like it came from a flea market.

Teltown Country House B&B - Navan - Bedroom

9.3 Excellent (55 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Teltown Country House and Renee are both amazing. Our flight was delayed which meant we didn’t arrive until about 11pm. We felt awful arriving so late but Renee walked us through to her kitchen and gave us coffee with a freshly baked muffin. AND then offered to make us a sandwich, which we appreciated but declined her offer of the sandwich. Our room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. Beautiful bed linen too. The next morning we were given a fabulous full Irish breakfast and Renee offered to make more, which wasn’t needed! Without a doubt, I’ll be going back there the next time I’m in Ireland!
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Renee and Bart were the sweetest and most accommodating hosts. The moment we walked through the door Renee ran off to put a fresh pot of tea on. We sat in the beautiful sitting room watching the horses out the window as Renee brought in fresh tea and scones. They were very helpful with restaurant recommendations, too! The bedroom was very large with a beautiful claw foot tub. Bed was cozy! Wish we stayed longer than one night. The property was so beautiful. We walked through the fairy trail (which was SO cute) and saw Jimmy and Freddy, the donkeys, walking about on the other side of the fence. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! The evening before we set a time with Renee and came down to a beautifully set table and buffet. Fresh cheese, salmon, yogurt, juice, and fruit awaited us while Renee fixed up a fresh, hot Irish Breakfast. We cannot thank Renee and Bart enough for their kind heart and great conversations. It felt like we were part of the family - a home away from home in Ireland! We will be back and stay for a much longer time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a once a lifetime experience. If you want something out of the ordinary, a taste of Old Gentry Style living you'll find it at Teltown House. The hosts were warm and welcoming full of local information . The house is a treasure trove.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly.free to roam around house and outside property. Room fab. Spacious.
Cons: Took bit of time to find.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the time of arrival The lovely lady asked us inside and in minutes we were given tea and lovely Buns then shown to our lovely comfortable bed rooms. It is situated out in lovely Country surroundings
Cons: I liked everything about the stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Host, both husband and wife were very warm n genuine n breakfast was excellent n suggestions for local interests were very good
Cons: For us two it was ideal—a little cluttered in the areas not really used much by guests, but historic n full of character n this is what my wife n I love!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Renee (the proprietor) is super attentive, warm, and very personable. The location was just what we were looking for, out in the countryside and on an actual working farm. It was also situated in the middle of the Boyne Valley which lended itself very nicely to touring all the remarkable sites in the area. The building itself, built in 1724, has its own great historical character. The bedrooms are large and well appointed. The beds were extra large and comfortable. The breakfast service was of high quality, generous and well prepared.
Cons: Nothing really.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast was ok-ish
Cons: Dusty, dirty and clearly unkempt room (Lavender) with a huge old boiler in the room making noise for hours. Construction going on until 11 PM. Toilet was only cleaned after attending the muddle headed owner who was apparantly busy with the upcoming 'party' and had zero focus on the guests. Strongly had the impression that we were put in a provisional room not normally used for guests, which would be an unethical business practice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Really liked the period decor of the manor. It very much made the stay more authentic. Renee was a great host and was happy to greet us even though we were running a bit late. The grounds are quite lovely, and the courtyard is excellent to walk through. I imagine the gardens are beautiful during the Summer season. Breakfast was ample and delicious - sampling of fruit, yogurt, cereal, plus your usual fry up full Irish.
Cons: Unfortunately, we arrived after dark, and the entrance to the property isn't necessarily marked for evening arrivals. Smaller sign without much lighting, so it was a bit of a challenge to locate.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Teltown House B&B is a beautiful estate and Renee is a welcoming host. The property is decorated in a charming style with antique furniture and plenty of artwork. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was great. We stayed the night before our flight out of Dublin--it was just less than 40 minutes away from the airport.
Cons: The only complaint we had was that the bathroom could have used a bit of cleaning toward the ceiling--there were more than a few spiders with some large webs (harmless, though, and in fairness, we were warned about their presence in the old house).

Pros: The welcome basket of goodies was a lovely treat to arrive to, meant we didn’t need to rush to the shop on our first night there! We had plenty of soap, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid as well as shower gels etc for length of stay which was a great bonus. Kids loved the variety of animals that came to visit us & they loved exploring the grounds. There was plenty of room for our family of five. Decoy Cottages are a great base to explore all that Meath has to offer.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Fantastic value for money, the house was much bigger than we expected and everything was perfect- we will never bother with a hotel again, complimentary basket of wonderful food waiting for us on arrival. We went to Slane whilst staying and couldn't have asked for better, we will be back with the kids for our next family holiday. Thank you Paula and Conor- the place is a credit to you both, regards, Stephen & Collette
Cons: No complaints!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome pack as we arrived! Lovely touch! We as a family needed some time out and it was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Paula was very welcoming, and considerate given our two children became sick on arrival to the property. The facility stood out for us for cleanliness, beautiful welcome basket with food basics, all home comforts, and the facilities for small children are beautiful. The building itself is very attractive, and cleverly restored to deliver in its current role. The emphasis on environmental responsibility at the facility is lovely to see.
Cons: I can't fault this property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautiful, nicely decorated with more than enough room for our group of 6 adults. The staff were very helpful both prior to our arrival & once we were there. My husband even left a pair of shoes there which they posted back to us the next day. Fantastic place & would recommend it highly to anyone staying in the area in future.
Cons: No phone coverage on any network, but good wifi available in the house.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The whole experience was excellent. There was a lovely huge bed. The cottage was situated in a complex of similar cottages and it was in a very good position within 15 minutes of where we were visiting (Tattersalls 3 day horse Event).
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.

Cons: No entertainment when we were there
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and welcoming
Cons: The price of the food was not great. I paid €16 for a small pasta dinner. And a gin and tonic was over €10
5.5 Okay
Pros: Outside: Set in the bucolic countryside an hour by bus from Dublin in the verdant village of Enfield, the elegance of the buildings and grounds welcomed even in the rain. Staff: Despite being welcomed with an eyeball scan that suggested the clerk thought I was some peasant unable to afford such luxury, the staff overall were kind and professional and helped with my multiple issues.
Cons: Inside: Some mysterious electrical problem in my room left the outlets unusable for a few hours. The tv didn’t work during this time nor after the electrical was reset. That’s okay because I was exhausted from travel so hopped onto the bed—no, sorry, the cement block of a mattress—and tried to sleep. The man in the next room was clearly audible on his phone call. So, thankfully I packed ear plugs AND a good eye mask as the curtain didn’t close fully and it was still light out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: It was very warm in the room
7.0 Good
Pros: Big comfy room and nice leisure Centre and staff friendly
Cons: Room only had one chair and it was a double room. Food in the bar freezing and steak very bad quality all had to be sent back
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Receptionist unpleasant, small bedroom with no air conditioning. Had a meal in the bar and while the waiter was very nice, the food was overpriced for the quality/quantity and quite a few small flies around.
