9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the breakfast. David the host really made us feel welcome. The room was really comfortable with a little terrasse on the garden.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly, they were ready to help us plan the rest of our trip. The house is beautiful. Overall, there is a very relaxed atmosphere and there is always someone around to have a nice chat with. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling in Baie-Saint-Paul.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent a fabulous weekend. The room was beautiful and comfortable (brick wall, woodfloor, bathrobe, TV with Netflix, microwave, fridge, Nintendo Switch etc). The breakfasts were delicious (pancakes, waffles, local cheese, organic sausage, fairtrade coffe...) and David was a really great host. There are nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk. It was the perfect place to rest after (and before) a long day skiing at Le Massif (25 min). We'll come back for sure!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What an amazing breakfast!! Thank you David!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: David our host was very hospitable and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, the bed very comfortable and everything was impeccably clean. We had a great time.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing (and it is NOT continental). It's a full breakfast with as many 'seconds' as you like. It kept us full of energy for 4 straight hours of powder skiing! The breakfast alone is worth the price of admission. Nice local cheese and local sausages (it's always nice to try foods that are locally produced), and Fairtrade coffee (VERY impressed). The bathrobes was a nice touch and hugely appreciated. Despite being next to the kitchen and dining room, our room was really quiet with a huge brick wall separating it all. Nice! Towels were plentiful and nice and fluffy, and bed sheets were clean and nice smelling. I loved that.
Cons: There was a big tv in our suite (2 tvs in fact!) and we were excited to stay-in and watch the Oscars but there was no cable (I guess when tv is specified it's not obvious that it's just that - a tv). It was nice that there was Netflix though, so we did that instead. Would have a liked a little more lighting, especially near the front door of our suite (entrance). To go along with the Fairtrade coffee offering, there does exist Fairtrade tea :) Perhaps our hosts could consider making the switch from regular tea to Fairtrade as well?!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was absolutely outstanding including only the best, local ingredients. The breads were made by the proprietor himself and they were absolutely fantastic! Everyone was very friendly and the environment was very cozy.
Cons: I liked everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: David is a wonderful host and the breakfasts were amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was extra amazing. Everything was homemade and local. He had suggested some great spots, and was very kind and friendly. Everything was great. We got the queen suite which gave us access to a lounge room with a couch and access to TV services which was nice for some movie time after long adventures skiing. There is a QUAI/beach down the road, super sweet! Fantastic B&B, highly recommended.
Cons: Parking was a little tight, but still manageable. We parked out in the street right in front. It wasnt a big deal.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous b&b with hospitable and friendly hosts. Incredibly clean, wonderful location and excellent breakfast!
Cons: We arrived earlier than check-in time and as invited, wanted to leave our car at the property whist wondering by foot around the town. We were a little confused of where was suitable to park as it was a tight area with a garage. Perhaps some signage would help!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice hosts, very caring and helpful with everything. Provided Good Suggestion on daytrips and lokal food. And of course the breakfast was really Good!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Francois and Mario are the best hosts you could ask for. They really love what they are doing and you can feel it. We felt very welcomed and where overwhelmed by all the great ideas Francois told us for spending the day. He even booked a trip for us :) The room is a bit small but we were able to fit both our stuff in, so it was enough for two nights. The bathroom had lots of lovely details and was clean. The breakfast is out of this world - I normally don’t even like jam, but the jam Mario makes is simply delicious. Also all the other stuff was really fresh, tasty and served with love.
Cons: Nothing

9.3 Excellent
Pros: - very nice host - good breakfast (lots of fruits, 5 different home made jams, boiled eggs, fresh croissant...) - clean and cosy traditional house

A La Chouette - Baie-Saint-Paul - Building
4
9.6 Excellent (113 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely home in beautiful surroundings, close to restaurants and boutiques but quiet countryside setting.
Cons: The only negative and this is not a reflection on the property or the owners, is the noisiness of the other guests. The old house isn't soundproof so you could hear everything, especially the little children running around in the room above us. The house doesn't have air conditioning so that noisy neighbours, in this case a rental house next door, did impact.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: beautiful house and room. Very friendly host who served a very nice breakfast.
Cons: all was good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the Summer Suite, which is a very large and lovely decorated room with much light and a terras (though it was still too cold to use it when we stayed). Excellent and very large bed. Exceptional breakfast prepared by a dedicated gourmet lover (much appreciated)! The lovely hosts also offered the use of the kitchen and an eating and a sitting room/library for their guests which is an important advantage for a prolonged stay when one would like to stay in and prepare themselves a home made dinner. Very good internet.
Cons: The rooms are not sound proof; which is of course normal for an old house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated room, wonderful gourmet breakfast, and close to the action of Baie-Saint-Paul. Pleasant and knowledgeable bilingual hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable! The breakfast was amazing; local products and different breakfast every morning with fresh juice, fruits, etc. Ginette and François are amazing hosts, very kind and helpful. We had an amazing time!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent, pleasant hosts, who graciously let us use facilities (refrigerator, etc) in another room as well as our own as the room was not booked. Close to walking paths.
Cons: I would have preferred a door on the bathroom rather than a curtain.

Pros: The motel room was in excellent condition and very clean . Decor and bathroom were modern and new looking. We asked for a quiet room and were given the end unit near the river. The public green space was beautiful with lots of seating for relaxing and tables for picnics. They provided a BBQ for guest use and upon request they would give you plates and silverware and wine glasses for use. We were able to make our own dinner salad from our groceries and enjoyed eating at the double glider with the table in the middle on the side of the river. The front desk staff member who checked us in was bilingual and very welcoming and helpful. The bed and linens were very good quality. We chose to open the window overnight and were surprised that traffic noise from the busy road in front was not loud enough to be a disturbance.
Cons: Can't think of anything .

Pros: Régis welcomed us with style and Savoir-Faire! While we were at the Auberge, he took care of all our needs, with unique attention to details, ensuring our stay will be memorable. We enjoyed the bistro and the reading area as well as the tranquility and serenity of sauna, spa, terrace and flower garden. The style of decoration is well harmonized with the spirit of L'Estampille. Our room was very comfortable. Our dinner experience was awesome with great ambiance. His Pyrenean origin and culinary expertise transform ingredients into delectable flavours. The wine list is very affordable. The next morning, we started our day with a nice breakfast. In addition, he guided us with excellent recommendations for the continuation of our Charlevoix journey, taking the time to set appointment with local partners such as tomato wine tasting (yes, tomato wine), cheese factory and other local specialties.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this is a really charming place—in terms of space (very spacious!), amenities, and, most importantly, friendly and helpful staff who take care with genuine kindness (i.e. ‘professional kindness’ of big chain hotels). The owner, Mr. Barthe, who is also a great chef, was attentive to make sure our stay was pleasant and relaxing. Breakfast with Coffee, fresh croissants, juice, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, bread, jam, yogurt—was good. Location is great, too. A quick drive to downtown, and with open views around unlike the hotels in downtown. We stayed in Deluxe Double and it’s what other hotels will advertise as “Suite” (with couch, extra chairs, table). It’s very spacious, spa bath tub and shower, bright with many windows. One thing that is not mentioned in the ‘amenities of the property’ is that our room had mini fridge and coffee maker and even a kettle! (One of the reasons why I was debating whether I should book L’estampilles was that I couldn’t find if they provided a mini fridge or a kettle. So I was very very happy to be able to make my own tea, coffee!) I came to Montreal yesterday. The moment I was checking in when I was greeted by the expressionless, robot-like receptionist of this otherwise decent hotel, I missed L’estampilles and its humane, personalized, and genuine service! L’estampilles is a hotel that offers a unique service that is to be experienced! Don’t hesitate to book this hotel!!
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent. Hosts were very friendly. Property was in the country and quiet, perfect if we were hiking or similar outdoor activities.
Cons: The property is a distance (several km) from Baie St Paul, and I didn't notice this at time of booking. We therefore drove back and forth, rather than just walking about the town. While we enjoyed the property, I would prefer a spot in town next time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast each day we were there! Playful cats and dog!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast crepes were excellent...the best I have had. We had dinner one night. Duck for myself, salmon for my spouse, and spaghetti with homemade sauce for my 3 kids. All excellent.
Cons: Internet wifi connection in upstairs bedrooms was spotty. Seemed to be slower when there were multiple guests in other rooms as well.

Pros: The hotel was very clean, as were the rooms. Our room was lovely and large. The staff were very nice and helped us with our luggage, as there is no elevator. Having a laundry facility was a plus.

Pros: Nice restaurant. People very pleasant. Good access to our room. Easy to locate.
Cons: The room was a bit dated. No connections for phones, I pad etc. The lighting in the room was lacking.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Proximity to Our plans
Cons: The rooms are not comfortable. Carpets dirty. Bathroom counter chipped and mirror damaged. Shower curtain too long and nearly slipped twice in tub during shower. This is really dangerous and unacceptable. Badly insolated. Motor cycles in parking lot woke us up at 7:30 and then the cleaning lady knocked at 8:45. Absolutely wonderful start to a Sunday!

9.2 Excellent (1,073 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were very friendly and informative about the area and things to do. The room was very well appointed and the patio with our own bistro table and chairs was wonderful. It was clean, quiet & in a beautiful setting. We didn’t use it but there was a very nice BBQ area and little outdoor kitchen with more seating options.
Cons: Nothing really-everything was well thought out and everyone was super friendly.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had a very nice (new) room, which was also spacious. Plenty of space for a crib!
Cons: Just 2 things: the bathroom fan is quite loud and there’s a lot of daylight coming through the front door (beds are opposite)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely accommodating. We arrived during a terrible winter storm, but the owner called us beforehand to warn us of the weather and power outages in case we wanted to take refuge elsewhere. When we arrived staff were waiting with a lantern and extra blankets. We had a very large bathroom, kitchenette and dining room, and a very large bedroom with a small sitting room. Lots of room for our group of four adults. 10/10 would book again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Owner was very helpful and had lots of good tips
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The rooms were perfect for our needs. Very comfortable beds and lovely hot water in the bathrooms. Nice and clean, near to the town and a nice atmosphere. Check in was easy and parking available in front of each room. Thank you and we will certainly stay with there should we be back. Jill
9.3 Excellent
Pros: very cute place with a lot of charm
Cons: window back to your bed only curtains that do not close completely, light wakes you up when the beautiful sun flashes in your eyes would recommend blinds to up the experience
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Location 10 min. Walk to town centre and very quiet hotel. Town of baie st paul is small so the hotal is close to all in surrounding area. Staff is so nice. Owners help with any tourist questions we had.
Cons: Would have liked a chest of drawers to put clothes but we had 2 open shelves and the 2 bedside tables. Really enjoyed our stay. Only a small detail to improve.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Easily walkable to the main Street and attractions. The family unit also had private parking which was much appreciated and made un/loading luggage easier. The bedside tables and shelves next to each bed were very useful. Lots of available power plus for charging devices, though not all conveniently located near a shelf when our cords are short.
Cons: The shower would benefit from a shower curtain at the doorframe so it could be used entirely independently of the main sink area for the bathroom/kitchenette. Also would be helpful to have a couple mugs in the kitchenette as we were out too late doing activities to take advantage of the beverage station in the lobby. The kettle was useful but to tall to fit under the faucet; a small jug for filling would be useful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness and the "trou à feu". The location.
Cons: The weather
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big spacious family room. Clean, good welcome with tips for local area. Outdoor bbq area for all to use. Walking distance from the centre of town. Massive, comfortable beds. Electric jug for those who like to make tea with boiling water rather than lukewarm water from a coffee machine.

Pros: Cleanliness and charming decor Very comfortable bed Closeness of restaurant even if pricy Good staff Good situation in the center of town Quiet at night
Cons: Lovely room but not big enough
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really beautiful and location is excellent. Breakfast options are ok and tasty.
Cons: Waiting time at the Bistro and staff knowing what they have and verifying what customer asked. We waited a lot to get someone to take our drinks order and then more for the main courses order. We asked for a well-cooked steak and it was not fully-cooked. The waitress offered some dessert options and then came back saying they did not have the one we ordered and offered something else. No compensation or willing to correct errors at all. The morning receptionist could be a bit more flexible or give options. We asked to wait a little bit more to check out since we wanted to leave our baggage to visit more art galleries and her only response was "No". No actual willing to find an alternative for us. Just giving a smile while saying "No" is not nice, just says "It is what it is and I am smiling and don't care". The evening receptionist was friendly.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is an excellent auberge right on the main street with parking on the side. You can walk out and you are right in the main area of Baie St.-Paul. The room was comfortable and clean with attentive staff. It felt perfect ! We could relax and enjoy our stay. The breakfast room in the restaurant was also very relaxing, overlooking the main street. It had choices of complete breakfasts and good service with coffee refills. It was all very enjoyable and relaxing !
Cons: I think that we paid an additional fee for the breakfast, but it was worth it ! It is in the restaurant that is attached to the auberge. Nothing negative to report ! It was all good !
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean updated rooms and excellent location. Our room was very small but had everything we needed! Excellent restaurant on site.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly receptionist and housekeeper. Home feeling. Excellent restaurant on the premises.

Pros: great location, beautiful property!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, quiet and spacious place, easy to find, well located.
Cons: When booking the place, the pictures doesn't show the apartment we booked, only the general one. Giving more pictures of the different options, would be ideal. The bed for the third person was a convertible sofa, therefore OK for a night but maybe not for a longer stay.

Pros: Nice location, staff very friendly
Cons: I had no TV in my room
5.8 Okay
Cons: I had an accident in the bathroom (slipped inside the bath and fall) and I had no interest or attention from the staff/property.
