Pros: This was our 2nd stay at Drumcreehy, because we loved it so much the first time. A lovely location, only a short drive from good restaurants, and right in the heart of The Burren, which we love. Bernadette reserved passage for us to the Aran Islands out of Doolin, and provided great tips and directions for the days we spent here. We know we'll book here on our next trip to Ireland!

6.7 Good
Pros: It was a clean and private
Cons: The two dogs on the premises are some what concerning and fairly territorial. While they weren’t too much of an issue to me, as I have worked with animals and have a great deal of experience with them, if someone does have a fear of dogs they could see this as an issue as they did run out several times barking and snarling. This venue only takes cash, this needs to be made clear prior to booking

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Situation
Cons: All fine except there had been a problem and no one there on arrival
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent size room. Clean and comfortable. Excellent shower.
Cons: Choosing breakfast the night before can be difficult. Then to have the cooked food served immediately we sat down - just as were settling down with a bowl of cereals - was slightly crazy. I think a little less automation is called for.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was most accommodating apart from the Burren mountain view room I was given when I had booked a sea view room. She was not prepared to change this when challenged. Otherwise everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for us we wanted to be out of town, but restaurants and shops where a few minutes drive away. Lovely little town- all the locals were amazing.

Cons: Staff seems a little overwhelmed, place could use some maintenance and cleaning.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stay! After booking I noticed a lot of negative reviews about this property on booking.ie and was slightly worried about these problems on arrival. But I honestly have to say my partner and I didn’t see any of these problems. We arrived late for check in and we were greeted by a very polite, friendly owner who had waited up to check us in. The room was spotless, extremely clean, 2 clean sets of towels, tea and coffee facilities, a very large spacious room, extremely comfortable bed and had two really good nights sleep. There were other guests staying in the rooms next door yet we didn’t hear a sound, very peaceful property. Both mornings we were greeted with two very tasty full Irish breakfasts, with a buffet selection of continental. Although the first night the bar was not open as not many guests were staying in the property, there are several bars and restaurants only a 5 minute walk from the property, situated in a great location with a very lively musical town on its doorstop where we found a bar with live music. The second night we spent til late hours in the bar with other guests and the owner himself behind the bar. Great area for traveling and exploring. The hotel is very family run with the owner doing a lot of the work himself, we saw very few staff during our stay but this didn’t effect our trip. The heat in the room was controllable every evening and the room was warm on waking up, we had warm water throughout our whole stay. The owner himself is an older man who you can see puts a lot of work into the business and goes out of his way to make each guests stay enjoyable. He was very helpful with local activities to do and overall a very friendly man. A lot of the bad reviews I have come across are very picky, if you are looking for a nice break away, good breakfast, great location for a reasonable price it is a good choice. I feel the owner and the property deserve more credit then they are getting.
Cons: Honestly can’t fault much, weak signal in the bedroom but we could still get internet, strong signal and free WiFi in the foyer, reception, dinning room and bar area. Not very lit up outside upon arrival in the dark, but nothing that drastically affected our stay!
7.5 Good
Pros: House
6.3 Good
Pros: A great location. Marie who served us our breakfast was extremely kind & helpful. Thank you
Cons: We were disappointed with the atmosphere in the hotel. When we arrived we thought the place was closed, no lighting whatsoever on around the front of the hotel. . No bar ect. We had to pay before we even saw the place. Overall disappointing.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The waitress serving in the morning was excellent despite having stated gluten and lactose intolerant no cereal available or lactose free milk she herself got it for the second morning.
Cons: The man in charge when we asked for the heat to be put on he was not at all pleased. We informed him the phone didn't work and no evening meals were available and the pub had no bar person and we saw no one serving there during our two-day stay. Also the our room and the dining room was very dusty. There were few channels on t.v and no rte1 or two it was all Ireland final and I asked for it on the Saturday not provided overall a very disappointing experience on the first evening unfortunately we paid and we did ask to get our money back for second night so we could go elsewhere but no way yet no effort made to help we were made feel ungrateful yet our family had paid hard earned money for my birthday trip away. While we were down at reception. Remember no phone we also met two other guests complaining. Very unsatisfactory stay
