R&E Bed & Breakfast - Basco - Building
9.0 Excellent (54 reviews)
7.5 Good
Pros: location
Cons: common cr sometimes is not clean because of other guests
9.5 Excellent
Pros: First and foremost, the host and the staff are nothing short than amazing! If you want a less busy place than Basco and want to visit Sabtang, this is the place you're looking for! The breakfast was always super yummy and the people in Ivana are just great altogether. The vicinity of the Honesty Coffee Shop is a huge plus too.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is walking distance to the port going to Sabtang
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Feel at home. The place is very near to tourist spot.
Cons: At first, I have difficult to contact the number, but it's okay I understand. The Mabel room may sira ang saksakan and medyo maingay ang aircon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It felt like we didnt left our home, we can freely move around the areas of the house specially the balcony area. Caretaker really takes care of the guests specially with our tours. Thank you R&E, really for recommendation.
Cons: Just didnt had the chance to watch the TV since cable has a problem, nonetheless, it doesnt affect our stay that much.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to the to some of the tourist spots of South Batan tour and very near to the Ivana port
4.5 Okay
Pros: Proximity to the Ivana Pier.
Cons: The toilet constantly smelled of urine. I booked for a room which I assumed has a private toilet. The single upper floor toilet and shower was shared with 6 other rooms. Each room varies in number of guests. Cobwebs, dirt on rubbish bin in the toilet, low water pressure made my stay cringe worthy. The only plus is there actually is a toilet seat. However - with so many people using the place, the toilet didn’t feel clean. Bath mats were really dirty too.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality of the owners. It's home away from home! Will definitely come back!
Cons: None
4.5 Okay
Cons: The room is dirty. Trash can is full. There are used cotton buds in the shower room. There are cockroaches in the bed. The aircon is not functioning well. We only stay for 1 night and there is no electricity
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice vacation.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: I would like to thank Jessica and other staff for welcoming us. Masaya stay nmin with Magnfred staff are very hospitable. I also like the room.
Cons: Food is average
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The guest house was in a good location near the town center of Basco, just a few minutes walk away from the provincial capitol. It is also really near the Basco Lighthouse so you can walk up to the area and catch the sunset and be back in your room quickly, The room has plenty of space and is clean, There is no dedicated front desk officer in the guest house but you can catch them in the morning when they prepare your breakfast or early in the evening, or you can call/text them for your needs, they are really helpful. The guesthouse has a shared kitchen and a fridge, a TV in the common area and a small garden outside. There was free breakfast on the 5 days I was there and on one occasion they served fried maytahes dibang (one day old flying fish) and it was sooo good.
Cons: My main concern in the room was the air conditioning. I stayed at room Amanda. The aircon will work for a few minutes and then shut off for about 5 mins and will work again, so it didnt really get cold which is not good because it was really warm and sunny during the week I was there. My other main concern was how weak the water pressure was in the bathroom. Other than that it was a great place to stay,
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location is accessible to restaurants and others around basco proper. Tour guide was enjoyable and fun. Recommendable!
Cons: No regular cleaning. No proper coordination. We told them that we are not allowed to eat pork at their 1st serving so it was fine. On our last day they served hotdog with pork. Staff also not visible at any time. They also don't checkpoints to know how their clients are doing.
7.5 Good
Pros: Facilities are clean.
Cons: Breakfast is not good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was good, room was clean and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very homey atmosphere
Cons: The water heater is not functioning and the waterflow in the cr is in trickles.
5.5 Okay
Pros: quiet, we have privacy.
Cons: food was not satisfactory. We were served breakfast that did not even have coffee or tea. Is this a homestay? Because they only cleaned ONCE. Change our towels ONCE. Did not take out the garbage daily.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to attractions
Cons: None
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very homey, clean and comfortable restrooms. The place is super nice with awesome garden.
Cons: Location is less accessible than the other guesthouses.
