Excellent location and friendly service.
location Facilities too basic
Location and excellent breakfast buffet The room had a slanted floor which translated into a slanted bed - akward sleeping....parking facilities not far away but you needed to collect from and return to the front desk the gate's opening card each time you used it .
Being so central
We found all was very good. The car parking in the allocated place was rather difficult but all in all it started off our holiday well.
The room and everything in it was sloping. Very uncomfortable and disorientating. The hotel was not full but the hotel allotted what must be the worse room. The bathroom was like a not very nice antique and the noise from outside the hotel horrendous-no soundproofing no double glazing.I feel sorry for anyone staying here longer than one night. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Depressing experience and worst value for money.
Great location. Right in the heart of Bayonne. Could walk to everywhere from the hotel.
The location of the hotel was very good The room was quite small and dark considering it was supposed to be 'superior'.
Location was good and the price was reasonable. Loved the old fashioned lift. Comfortable and relaxing although it was disappointing that on my second night I was told that the hotel bar was closed. Although it was two in the morning the hotel information pack clearly said that it was always open.
Staff frienliness had improved since last time which was a big plus. It is a bit basic for the price charged, stayed in a beautiful four star hotel the night before for the same price....
newly refurbished room very chic style. free wifi no car parkingspecific to hotel. Station car park very near and secure
good location lift broke down
The hotel is located in the centre of Bayonna. The rooms are quite clean and well equipped. In general it is a good value for money hotel.
Clean basic reasonably priced handy for transport and the City lights of Bayonne. All fine for our purposes. Would use again.
size and layout of the room nothing very happy with it
clean place, central in town, just accross the street is the train station. everything very clean; to expensive for what it is. The photo's on the site are not exactly realistic. personal advice about town information was not given.
Excellant location, across from la Gare. Room clean and comfortable.
Convenient location for the station. Serviceable. Slightly pricey for what it was
The location is really good for people who trave by train. Also very relaxing while stay in the hotel. i went down to front desk one evening to ask for an opener but the lady who was working that night was very unfriendly, rejected my request in not too polite way. That was very disgracful for both the hotel and the guest too.
good location, walking distance from city center
The location of the hotel, close to bus terminus and train station, is convenient for an overnight stay. The staff, if you can attract their attention, are pleasant enough. The room was adequate for an overnight stay. It was a little on the small side, the decor was gloomy and its position (facing a side street and off a half-landing) was poor. Perhaps the better rooms are not available to internet bookers. The breakfast was mediocre and very much overpriced.
We had a fantastic view from our big bedroom overlooking the River Adour. The bathroom was adequate and the WC was separate. The staff were attentive to all our needs. We wanted an early lunch and they made sure the staff was ready to prepare something for us. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the centre of Bayonne. We would stay there again. We were lucky to find parking right outside the hotel but I'm sure it is sometimes problematic. We weren't as near the coast and beaches as the description suggested. The breakfast at €12 was as expensive as the two-course lunch.
Room was spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable and compared very favourably with other similarly rated French hotels with their comparatively small rooms. Overall very good. The breakfast was ok but like most french hotels do not compare well with other international hotels where more breakfast options are usually provided..
We had a great spacious room with a view over the river and bridge. Staff were efficient and helpful.
excellent location, room standard enough, The male manager was exceptional when we failed to get a taxi to the airport he drove us out himself a true gentleman.
it was accessable to the train station and also to city center
it was a family room and with young children it was ideal as i have found not many hotels have family rooms
Its central position, very friendly and helpful staff. Free internet and good foof
The location is good and the room was clean This hotel charged my credit card on the day of my arrival without telling me. They then charged me again when I checked out. Now they refuse to give me my money back and deny that they charged my credit card. Stay here if you can trust them.
Central location in old city, close to restaurants, shops - and reasonably close to railway station Noisy in early morning, with street-cleaning, rubbish collection, etc. Number of stairs would be difficult for some (although not for us).
A fantastic location, very central with great views. Clean room, with a nice feel to it, and helpful staff. Also had a cat! We didn't discover until we checked in that our room was not en suite - the toilet and shower were the other side of the corridor, and, whilst clean, was not veru pleasant to use
We had a room over looking the area of the chocolate makers in the old part of the city , there were light blue flags for the local rugby team all around the street and light blue flowers on our balcony wonderful . Nothing .
Good location in the heart of the "old Town" pedestrianised area with easy access to buses for further afield. Reception at 1st floor with no lift made access to our rooms on the fourth floor quite demanding.
The hotel is marvelous. I don't have enough word to explain how I felt when I saw it. Althoug it doesn't have new furniture and is not luxurious, the best word to describe it is perfection itself!
Good location, nice stuff, reasonable price. No at this price.
The position! Right in the centre of town. The breakfast room had Louis XV decor. Most unusual for a B & B. We shared the toilets & shower which were not very well maintained.
Room 16 overlooking the interior courtyard / staircase was very pleasant. I asked for a room on the top floor and got it. I was surprised that I was expected to arrive by 19:00 as I don't remember seeing this at the time of booking. However, the hotelier stayed there until I did arrive, so it was all OK in the end
Friendly and helpful staff, each rooms decorated differently, in the town centre
It was bang in the centre of a very nice town with very friendly people and nice shops. It was ideal and close to the rugby ground and all the restaurants very near the cathedral. I was not aware when booking that Room 2 which I was allocated was the only room in the hotel without en-suite facilities. The toilet and bathroom were about fifeteen yards away down a very long corridor. My friends booked much later and had a room with two double beds and a shower and toilets. I only had a sink.
