Showers had great water pressure and temperature. Sheet and a blanket was not enough to keep warm. Little outdated decor.
It's location I had to call another property to get the clerk to come to work--the room had not been renovated since the late 60's -- the room door did not lock or close completely. Very poor facilities overall.
The price of the room was very reasonable
Hotel manager would use his pass key & just walk in our room! Also demanded an additional amount after we left for our cat when others had pittbulls in their room But to just walk into our room without knocking or advance notice is highly unprofessional
This is an older property that in a place like Lake George would be expected. But because it's in Scranton people think it should look like a Hampton, and it doesn't. The room was very spacious, an extra closet and a real live key, not a card. Only 1 towel in the the room and hard to get ahold of the office staff later in the evening because they were in bed, and I chose not to wake them.
The water park. Arrived at 12 for early check in. Did not receive my room till 430 with no care or regard. Totally under staffed and the worker told me so. How that's my problem I'm not sure. I paid $500 dollars for a room for 12 hours or less comes with nothing included total robbery. I get back to the room at 2am with my wife wanna use the jacuzzi tub surprise doesn't work GREAT ending to a horrible day. I tell the staff in the morning basically not a care in the world not even a sorry. I wasn't looking for anything back that's not my style. Total disaster last question is check out is 11am why do they need 5 hours to clean a room and I couldn't get late check out. Don't go spend your money somewhere else I bust my butt for mine
Split rock grill was good and location to slopes. Our room had lots of damage in it including holes in the door, the tub wouldn't drain, and the water was like warm. The staff was friendly but inexperienced and didn't offer any compensation for our inconveince, including not refunding our $45 resort fee that we had to pay which was in addition to what we already paid online. if I stayed in the area again I'd probably try a different hotel.
My husband and son had good things to say about the golf course. Outdoor pool was fine. Rude front desk staff person "greeted" us upon our arrival for 4:00 check in, but our room was not ready until 6:00 pm. No explanation or additional accommodation was offered. Room was worn, but adequate. Toilet didn't work well, 3 towels for a 4 person room and no extra toilet paper. We had to search for housekeeping, who didn't clean our room on our second day. We were happy to check out the following day. We won't be returning. Bottom line, if you get this room very cheap, be prepared to get what you paid for. Don't overpay, it's not worth it.
The room was nice Worst service we ever experienced. Terrible terrible exoerience!!!!
It is in a good location right off the highway. The staff were very friendly. There were small repair issues that could be addressed. The door to the room was finicky, and the HVAC unit had the distinct odor of mouse urine coming from it when I turned the fan on. The wifi also didn't work very well in my room. But, for a relatively inexpensive motel, these were not huge issues.
Location No being able to fix a cup of coffee in the morning.
Value for price. Other people staying were loud, late at night.
Staff was courteous. The wi-fi worked well, though the desk was a little small. It was comfortable for a reasonable price.
All I could want from a $70 hotel room.
We came from central New Jersey. Your place is tucked away off the highway. When we came in there was one man, Charlie working the desk. He was pleasant, patient and thorough working the check in. I felt bad for him because I was third on line and he was there by himself to assist everyone and answer the phone. The downstairs is just great. We went to the bar for dinner. We got there at 8:45, they still allowed us to use the full menu even though the full kitchen closed at 9. They said we had plenty of time, instead of giving us a hard time. The food was just delicious. We pretty much ordered what was pictured in the elevator. Everything even at that hour was fresh and made to order. Outside there was a bonfire with chairs to sit in. It was also decorated with lots of fancy lights. All of this with the stellar mountain views just added to our feeling of seclusion and comfort. The room was just fantastic. We had so much room to put our stuff, and had choices of where to plug all of our devices in. This hotel totally served its purpose and we will be back for sure. Check in/check out could be quicker/smoother. We weren't there for business or in a time crunch, but if that was the case the time was pretty lengthy. I do not blame the associates at the desk, it would just be nice for things to be a little more streamlined, especially if there is one guy at the counter multitasking.
Appearance of public areas of hotel Buffet breakfast was not good. Eggs were overcooked, bacon greasy and clumped together, sausage ditto, nothing tasted fresh, coffee mediocre, service staff just going through the motions, no one was remotely cheerful. Room layout was not good and furniture uncomfortable. No refrig. in room. Price was twice that of lesser hotels in the area but definitely not worth it.
Very modern accommodations yet relaxed atmosphere. Bar/dinning area while good, was pretty quiet. Perhaps time of year had something to do with it.
Hotel check in staff was rude and uninformed. No time for details but expect a long wait even if there is no one in line. For the room price and lack of amenities you are better served staying at a national chain rather than the overpriced , overhyped mohegan sun. Will not return even if the room was free. Customer service skills are non existent as it appears there is no competent managers at the hotel.
Hotel was very clean and new staff was very helpful No lock in bathroom door
Could not handle my issues. Did not return phone calls
comfortable and clean nicer than the Hampton Inn etc Breakfast
We were impressed. Rooms very spacious. Large bathrooms as well. Beds very comfortable
very modern - loved the rooms - very clean - couldn't have ask for anything more
The staff was absolutely amazing, great location. The hotel was very well kept and clean. The bed was amazing if I'm ever in the area I will definitely be going back there.
very clean breakfast should be free as per the cost of the rooom
The entire staff is friendly and personable. They are very pet friendly, the have a wonderful hotel with lots of ammenities. Minir issues but all were addressed quickly
Easy access to the highway. Loved the fact that it had an equipped kitchen and a spacious suite which is invaluable with a child and two dogs. The staff was so helpful and every one of them was very nice.
The room was very comfortable, clean and homey! We came in to cut travelling time to bring my Aunt for heart surgery. From are check in to check out, all your staff were friendly, accomidating and sweet. It made a very stressful time actually relaxing and fun nothing really
Great staff! Rooms aren't great, but for $75 it's a steal. The bed was uncomfortable bu everything else was very clean Beds were uncomfortable
Second time we have stayed at this facility Very friendly and helpful staff Nice clean rooms Very comfortable beds No complaints
We traveled as a family of five. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and secure hotel. We stayed there again on our way back, because of the good experience.
Stayed here one night while my house was under repair, and it was great! I arrived at 10 pm, was checked right in, and the room was immaculate. Clean, bright colors, comfortable bed, spotless bathroom. They only have sheer curtains on the windows so it was bright early in the morning (i like to sleep in a bit) and housekeeping knocked on the door at 830am, so make sure you put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door if your looking for some extra Zzzs. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!
Nothing bad to say about this place! Great price! Great place for kids! Lady that helps in the breakfast area was so friendly and helpful. Staff super helpful! Rooms very clean and modern. Bed was extremely comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub. Will definitely stay here again.
This hotel was clean and quiet. Nice room at a great rates. Good lcoation
Very nice, clean hotel with very friendly staff and good amenities. Very conveniently located to anywhere you need to get in Wilkes-Barre / Scranton area. Also, very nice to have the Friday's right next door.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks for a business trip in July. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient. I did not have a fridge in my room, and when I asked for one, they brought one to me in just a few minutes! The breakfast was very good and had a nice selection of bagels, donuts, waffles, yogurt and fruit. They even had hard boiled eggs! The only complaint that I have is that my room was very humid and smelled like chlorine. I assume it is because I was very close to the pool, and it didn't bother me too much. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Wilkes-Barre area. It is in a very central location, and
A group of us stayed at this hotel while attending an area wedding. The hotel is brand new and fabulous but the management lacks basic customer service skills. We had a minor issue which needed to be addressed by the management, and the female manager was anything but kind. After our group spending over $* at this hotel, we will take our $ elsewhere next time!
The hotel is new, clean and really pretty nice. My room was terrific. Hotel has good access to highway, but not much else around it except for a TGI Fridays. So if you want to be able to go for a run outdoors you have to jump in the car and drive to a park (hotel has directions for that). I was pleasantly surprised.
This hotel has so much going for it. The staff is soooo friendly. The room was terrific - nice look and feel, love the separate sitting area. And it has a small refrigerator so I hit Wegman's and stocked up on a few things that made my stay more like home. Breakfast has everything you need, plus some. And Henrietta at breakfast is the most delightful woman on the planet. Location of the hotel is great, too. Easy access to pretty much everything.
i would not come back and stay there again. rooms were dirty and beds were not comfortable.there was no maid service. the employees were polite that was the only thing that was nice.
We have stayed at this hotel several times when we visit the Mohegan Sun Casino...it is a short distance away ....the hotel is very clean ....everybody is friendly...it is located right next to TGIF fridays restaurant....with several others nearby....we have made this our hotel of choice for this area when we visit.
This hotel was very nice. Friendly staff, great breakfast in the morning, pool for the kids. I would stay there again.
Breakfast had gluten free options, it was easy to find and the staff was polite. The walls were paper thin, we heard everyone checking in & out. It was extremely hard to get to sleep. The heater blew cold air. The shower had very poor water pressure. The TV had very limited channels & no DVD player. No hairdryer & fridge wasn't cold.
It was efficient, clean and well-located. Had everything I needed without being overpriced.
The convenience. They should have a shuttle service We saw the Microtel van, why not shuttle
The desk is designed so two persons can use it at the same time. Needs more electrical plugs.
Staff was extremely helpfull
The employees were great! And the price for the location was good. The pool was closed for mantainence.
The Microtel is the best value to go to the casino across the street. The wafflemaker at breakfast is great! We love it there.

The location, free wifi, free breakfast. Noise, the walls are thin,(we could here the alarm go off in the room next door)I had to ask the front desk to call the family above us about all the banging from children which was late at night.
I was surprised how nicely appointed it was. Best looking Microtel we have stayed in! It was a little hard to find using the gps on our phone. Otherwise, great value!
Staff The breakfast and our first room was small
Owner greeted us at the door. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and water pressure in the shower was good !
Breakfasts were very good, the breakfast room was very attractive, the lobby was very nice, front desk and housekeeping staff were very good, asked for and got a nice quiet room, the beds were very good, and everything looked clean. The room was a nice size except the sink, toilet, and closet were congested. The hotel was safe, but walking in the area at night might not be safe. We had no trouble and I would stay there again.
The hotel was very quiet and clean. The check in staff wasn't very friendly.
The staff were very friendly & tried to help whenever asked. I would stay here again when I am in the area.
Clean, comfortable, nice breakfast Had to mess with the tv to get it to work right

Quiet and clean. Not far from where we needed to go. The pool was nice. The fitness room was a little weak, and I thought the bed was uncomfortable, but other than that I can't complain
Very clean, modern decor. Good service. Abandoned building next door
Clean and newer then most other hotels in the area Over priced
The pool and free breakfast was the high light
clean room they put us on a floor with a bunch of kids and at 2am they were so noisy it work me up.

HBO The room was not clean. I had to pay $20 for a moldy refrigerator that had rotten milk cartons left in it.

The staff was very kind and helpful, our room was very clean and spotless, overall it was a great experience ad I would book it again in the near future. The location of the pool area doesn't offer any privacy to for the guest, anyone walking down the hallway can stop and look inside, and that can be an uncomfortable experience, I would recommend to put up some shutters or either tint the glass. The Food.
The neighbors were too loud and it smelled like roach poison when you first entered the lobby/check in area.
You can't expect the Ritz or Hilton, but it was far greater than a stay at other 3 star hotels. There is an indoor pool and it wasn't far from the resort where family was staying. This hotel is very pet friendly! Both my cats were completely safe and accomodated. They even gave us animal hospital info in case of emergency. I would definitely stay again. I always check a room for bed bugs... The room was clean as a whistle. Too crowded at breakfast!
Extremely friendly staff
It's convenient to stay right off of the highway and the night front desk guy was nice. The smoking room was disgusting. Cigarette smoke is already disgusting, but these rooms are not at all aired out or even meagerly ventilated; just walking in the door will make you choke. Also, all surfaces have cigarette stains and the linens were holed with large cigarette burns. That being said, it's a $60 a night hotel room - what do you expect?
staff Joann was the most helpful for directions and helping guest with questions of places to go. hard to get into lot
Jacuzzi was awesome Room needed some repair. But good enough for an anniversary getaway
