Clean comfortable bed Excellent breakfast bar No complaints
The hotel was no great shakes. Could not change the shower head for a different setting. Heating/cooling system was sketchy. Had to go thru all channels to change stations on tv, could not input directly. Breakfast was just average.
The staff was excellent Kristi, Curtis, Donna, and Lindsey were the best.
Breakfast staff was inadequate and understaffed on Friday (graduation day from USMC MCRD. Every Friday occurrence.)
The location is good . The facility is bright. Easy to access.
The room was spacious and clean. Location was wonderful and the staff were great. Our bed was horrible. It was suppose to have a comfort select dial. Either the dials didn't work or the bed was worn our or broken. Did not sleep much at all, either of us.
Very nice place. This is our second stay and will repeat if the opportunity presents. The cookies at reception were stale and hard as rocks.
The town of Beaufort was wonderful and the hotel was a deal compared to others. Beds were very uncomfortable and need to be replaced. Hotel needs some updating.
Hotel grounds were beautiful. Pools were nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. Rooms were clean and modern. One feature we really loved - tiny floor lights that kicked on when you stepped off the bed. Only activated at night, they allowed you just enough light to see your way to the bathroom without knocking into things. Not a problem exclusive to Sonesta, but by 10:30am all the pool chairs were "reserved", and you couldn't find a seat let alone a couple chairs together. Guests reserving multiple chairs early in the am and then leaving their "towels" on those chairs all day long preventing their use by others is a problem systemic to this industry and really needs to be addressed.
Very clean and well kept. We had standard king bed without ocean view. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Didn't use restaurants but exercise room was nicely equipped and modern.
Well decorated. Cleaning staff was consistently disappointing. Once they took our towels and forgot to give us any new towels and once the room looked barely touched. Everyday they were bad about coming before 8 am and coming back during the four hour Windows we provided.
Room was good and clean, on par with the Marriott properties (Courtyard, Fairfield, Springhill, etc) we normally stay at. We didn't make much use of the resort amenities, but the grounds were well-kept.
Everything was nice.
The resort's pool and beach were excellent. We had no problem getting chairs at the pool, and the beach was lovely. At high tide, the beach gets really crowded because it shrinks so much. The Sonesta is pet friendly as is the beach. In the late afternoon, there are a lot of dogs on the beach.
Everything about our stay was flawless with the exception of internet access and WIFI. Both were very sporadic and not always available. We love the location, grounds are beautiful, staff was great and our room and entire resort were very clean. Love staying here!
Perfect Spring Break! We stayed at Sonesta for three nights in early March and had a relaxing respite from the stresses of work, and for our 14 year old son, schoolwork. Beautiful lobby, with lots of seating. We brought some games and puzzles, and there was plenty of space to play. The pool areas were beautiful, and the jacuzzi was steaming hot. Our room was lovely, too. Nice fluffy bed and tidy bathroom. Great beach area. A private event was going on in a covered, outdoor dining area, and it looked so neat to be oceanside and have a party. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Sonesta again.
The resort is in the Shipyard Community (gated with security and includes golf courses and the Van Der Meer Tennis Center) and has direct beach access. The rooms were newly renovated and the grounds were immaculate. The staff was top-notch--very helpful and professional from the check-in clerks to the cleaning staff. We were surprised when our parking lot view room was actually a view of the roof of part of the resort. Not a huge problem, but still... Also, the beach entrance for the resort is connected to the beach club access for the larger Shipyard communnity. This was only a problem because the beach area just outside the resort tended to be quite crowded. However, everyone was nice and we had a great time.
The rooms were very modern, friendly front desk, large variety of food at buffet. All you can eat, with band duo. The Easter buffet check was a surprise, did not get a price or menu beforehand. Check was $115.00 buffet dinner for two, +$15.00 tip for great service, and we did not order extra items. Total for Sonesta Seacrest Easter Buffett for two was $130.00!!! Wow!! Will return, but call for price of buffet first ;)
Restaurant has reasonable prices, nice little bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Funny bar tender! This was our second time staying at this hotel for Marine graduation. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Stayed for 3 days to get our Marine. Enjoyed. Very friendly.
Great Value, clean, comfortable, great staff. Overall great experience.
Room appeared to be clean. Bed was very uncomfortable, made noise when you turned over. Also, room was very stuffy, ac get cycling off and on every few minutes and you could not regulate the temp
The location was great! Only minutes from downtown. The view of the marsh was nice. Kids eat free for breakfast and dinner, although we did not eat at restaurant it was a nice promotion. Nice channel list for kids. 1. We did not have a shower cutain at all in the bathroom. 2. The staff was just so so. We were rarely greeted when entering and rarely recieved a good bye when we left. I don't want to sound picky, but I didn't ever feel like we were a valued guest. 3. The bathroom was filthy! Hair berets found on the floor and the sink(was it not wiped down?). Mold in the shower and residue/hair all over the towel rack. And again, we did NOT have a shower curtain, so water went EVERYWHERE! They also had a tile floor, so we then had to use all of our towels to prevent from slipping. 4. Pool was way too hot. I would guess it was 85 degrees and it was 99 degrees outside in July, so it was not refreshing at all. 5. There was only 1 elevator working which meant long waits. 6. The door to the fitness facility would not open, so I am not sure how to rate it? 7. Not a good experience, unfortunately.
We liked the room. It was bigger than most. There was a beautiful view of the marsh from the room and parking area. Very convenient for sightseeing in Beaufort and the nearby islands. All of the heated foods were gone at breakfast (8:30). The fruit mix was nearly empty. Grabbed a bagel and checked again later. Still no eggs. The seating area was only half full.
Loved the contemporary feel and decorations The bed was SOOOO uncomfortable. We both woke up with sore backs both mornings we were there. Also, the bed sheets are very "damp" feeling when you get in them to go to sleep. Know it's because of the humidity and lots of air conditioning...but maybe the rooms need to be aired out every once and a while, or get a dehumidifier maybe?
cookies Rooms had smell of cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be a smokeless room. You could also hear every sound from upstairs and outside and toilet always was running. Also, Bed was unusually uncomfortable.
The location was good. We were there for my sisters marine corp bootcamp graduation. I am really stretching to find that as a positive because it was insanely over priced. It was dirty, our room smelled horrific and there's were LIVE cockroaches in the pool area. Everything was dirty. And these were the least of our issues. We had 3 rooms reserved. 2 for our first night and the 3 rooms for our second night for family that were driving 14+ hours through the night to attend Family Day for their daughter's marine corp bootcamp graduation. We confirmed twice when we got there that all of the rooms would be available and would be ready for our Dad to arrive the following day. They assured us that everything was fine. The next day we attended family day, and came back to the hotel to check my family in. Someone had "accidentally" given their room away. Everything around was booked because of the Marine corps graduation. They had no other rooms. To remedy the situation they offered us a "free" (are you kidding me?!) Room at another sister hotel 30 minutes away. After my Dad had just traveled 14 hours. They wouldn't refund our rooms so we could all go stay with him. They did nothing to aid in our relocation process. We were furious with how it was handled, and appalled at the carelessness of the staff. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!
The staff was friendly, as excited about our Marine graduate as we were. The breakfast was better than expected, the make your own waffles were delicious and they had a rotating menu which included veggie omelets, biscuits w/ sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereals, muffins, bagels, juices and coffee. Baked cookies each evening! The room was clean, bed was very comfortable and smelled like fresh clean linens. The pool was a little smaller than expected, but larger than the pool at other family members hotel. My daughter still loved it.
Bed was nice. Shower was good with a detachable shower head. The pool looked decent but I didn't try it out. A lot of construction was going on. This place is in need of remodeling and they were doing that while we stayed there. We paid $120 for a room there and it was definitely not worth that price. This is a 2 star hotel in my opinion. It smelled kind of musty.
Staff was nice. Breakfast was plentiful. Location was great for marine base. Rooms were dark, dingy & old. Not sure bedding was even clean. Phone did not work and was not fixed during stay. Weight room was ridiculously inept. Treadmill was out of service and front desk staff it had been for many months and no plans to fix it. Pool water disgusting.
Good location. Only 10 minutes from the waterfront and historical area. Good breakfast of biscuits, bacon, sausage, eggs, homemade waffles. Refrigerator actually had a separate freezer, not common in most hotel refrigerators. The homemade cookies in the lobby were delicious. Indoor was convenient for children, particularly when it was raining outside. There was plenty of parking. Construction going on all around the hotel making access to and from hotel difficult. However, this wasn't a fault of the hotel. It is on a very busy street however making walking around in the are difficult. Indoor pool overrun with children. Very small lobby.
The room was horrible
very nice staff Motorcycle shop beside hotel- use area behind hotel to work on motorcycles. Very loud all day.
Very clean Noisy, noisy noisy. Yelling and sxreaming in parking lot, up and down halls, Even the staff very loud and obnoxious. Would never stay there again. Should only have one star for lack of supervision.
Cleanliness and comfortable beds. Smokers clustered outside at rear entry door. Smoking should be further restricted on premises.
rooms look nice (decorating wise) recently renovated decent price hair all through our bathroom and stuck to our towels loud noise throughout most of the day due to continuing renovations some (not all) of the staff was rude
The decor of the updated rooms is quite beautiful and tastefully done. The bed was one of the best sleeping hotel beds I've slept in. Breakfast was delicious and included a variety of choices (hot foods/cold foods/fruits and beverages) with adequate amounts for all guests to be served. Hotel is very customer oriented and the location is central to downtown and other area attractions. There was a slight musty odor in the hallway.
Friendly & Clean
The room was very nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast was surprisingly varied with eggs, biscuits, and gravy, to compliment the routine continental breakfast. The hallways had a slightly musty odor and the room was VERY far from an elevator.
I loved the fact that my room was not only decorated nicely and fitted with chic, contemporary decor, but it was extremely clean as well. Also, my bedding, especially the pillows were very soft, plush, and overall comfortable. I love how the toilet has it's own little room which is revealed by a cute wooden sliding door. I had a very nice room and an even nicer stay.
Newly renovated. .. rooms looked exactly as the photo.. got a great deal for 2 nights... rebook for next weekend. Hidden gem! Minimal breakfast. Even though hot, it was kinda bland.
The beach was so close The beach house is not a resort it's a nasty old hotel that calls itself a resort.
Very comfortable rooms. Polite front desk. Perfect location. Common hallways were not air conditioned.
My short stay was overall a pleasureable one. I did unfortunately fiind the prior guests false eyelash on the carpet by the bed. :( I did bring it to the attention of the night desk clerk who said she would note it and adjust my bill, but did not see any adjustment on my bill.
Everything Can be updated more
Location was centrally located
Beach access and close to shopping, friendly staff We did see a cockroach in the bathroom.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well appointed. The pool and bar were very nice. The beach was beautiful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in while staying in a hotel. The hallways, and elevator are not air conditioned. They are very stuffy. The restaurant menu selection was slim and uninspiring. The bartender was unable to make common mixed drinks well.
We had a awsome stay at this holiday inn. Rooms and services were great. A real nice place to stay. I didnt want to ever leave. Nothing to complane about here.
I have been coming here for 20 years. Great location both for the beach and Coligny area. Tiki Hut is nice with live music all day. Staff did a great job! Caroline, was very helpful in my room accommodations and had a great attitude. She should be rewarded.
We were given great service from beginning to end! The concierge Gray was very helpful and friendly. Since we came on the offseason, we were able to get an oceanfront room at a weeks notice. We were even able to change the reservation last minute with no penalties. They were much more than accommodating and the location is amazing: right at the beach and Coligny Circle! We will definitely be back again!
The breakfast was delicious! Good price and would come back for the buffet. The beds were very comfortable. It would have been nice if your website knew it could have told us that it was under renovations. There was some hipcups staying there. The staff was great and had a great attitude going through their transition.
loved the beach atmosphere, the tiki bar, the restaurant whose food was delicious. Walking distance to resturants, shops and obviously the beach. The hotel had just been remodeled. Although the bed was super comfortable and there was a small sofa in the room, there was only 1 chair that was very uncomfortable. Also, bathroom was very small, could use more counter space. There was a $10.00 fee for each night that we were not aware, could someone at Kayak look into this?
Excellent location and excellent staff. Really gives you a unique feel and experience, I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
Very nice room with a view of historic house just across the street. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the front patio, overlooking the marina. The do-it yourself breakfast was comprehensive and the staff were helpful. A special thank you to the Manager, who through no fault of his or BW, accommodated us when we requested a room change from our original room location. He then sent a bouquet of flowers to our room! Thank you BW Sea Island Inn! We'll be back!
Close to everything in downtown Beaufort. A little pricey, but worth it if you want a quick, walk everywhere location. Bugs made way into our room often. Breakfast could use some flare.
Great decor, excellent bathroom with a relaxing deep tub.
The staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms are comfortable, with great furniture and fixtures. The shower is one of the best I've ever seen. The location can't be beat. The on-site coffee shop is a great way to start the day. Nothing. Really.
The hotel staff was friendly, carrying my luggage -- even to the first floor and offering complementary turn-down supervise with warm cookies. A quaint coffee shop is nearby, and with my dialy $5 coupon from the hotel, I got a muffin, coffee, and paper for a nominal fee. The decor is updated with rain shower shower heads and a garden tub. TWO televisions as well. Great restaurants are all within walking distance. Parking is at a premium any given time, and I had to park behind a nearby law firm. As a sole female traveler on business, comming in after dark (at 6 pm in the Fall) was not comfortable but manageable.
I surprised my wife with a weekend trip to HHI for Valentines Day and Marriott did not disappoint. The rooms are recently remodeled so everything was clean and new. We enjoyed working out in the fitness room before going out to dinner each night. Although it was too cold to swim, we enjoyed the views of the ocean from the pool deck. The staff was friendly and professional the entire time, wishing us a happy Valentines Day with a smile on multiple occasions. I recommend highly- great value for the level of service and amenities.
I loved the ocean view from my room. The TV guide for the different channels was sticky. The bathroom needed an exhaust fan.
I really cannot say enough about everything I enjoyed at this hotel. Location, view, friendly and helpful staff and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on are only a few highlights of my favorite parts of my stay. We also ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was wonderful as was the waitstaff. I can't wait to plan a trip to come back.
Due to an emergency we did not get to stay after checking in. We received a call that because of a forest fire threatening our home we didn't get to stay I think a refund of at least 3nights should be in order but that won't happen. I will warn everyone I know to avoid using this agency for bookings.
Workmen started working at 7:30 am in the room next to us. It was very disturbing. Nothing was done even after I called the front desk.
we arrived late so there was no staff on site but they called us ahead of time to make sure we knew how to get in. the room was LOVELY - from the bed to the cookies they left us to the awesome bathroom... plus french doors that opened for a nice breeze. we didnt have time to stay for breakfast but they insisted on making us something to go - so accommodating and so worth the price! no complaints!
Loved the easy access to beach, freindly staff, great location. Very relaxing. Food in restaurants was good. Didn't like that chairs on the beach had to be rented and were not provided by the hotel. At other beach resorts I have had free beach chairs with umbrellas or cabanas and even waiters that brought drinks to the beach for you.
The rooms and restaurant was an amazing experience
it was clean and pretty much everything you need at one resort from food to family activities, especially walking distance to the beach my kids love it. wishing there is a sleep sofa in the room which would be great for the kids don't want to share the bed.
The location of this hotel is amazing and the amenities are great with Muriel's pools onsite and restaurants. There was remodeling occurring at the time of our stay. Some other reviews suggested that this was the same however the hotel staff insisted it would not effect our stay. They were absolutely wrong and loud construction was heard the entire 4 days so it was difficult to relax. Construction vehicles and supplies took up half of the parking lot and the construction staff took their breaks lying down in grassy patches in the lots. The restaurants on site were very overpriced which was somewhat expected.
The bed was very comfy. Everyone was very friendly. The food was excellent! Nothing, but having to leave!
The Omni was a great place to stay. They are doing some improvements on the property but it didn't interfere with our stay.
Beach access was great! The elevator was out of order for 3 of 4 nights of my stay. We stayed on the second floor so we were OK; however, I'm sure those staying on the 4th and 5th floors were not so happy.
Dog Friendly, although don't bother paying for an ocean view if you have a dog because you will be put on the 1st or 2nd floor and you will not be able to see the beach. I paid for an Ocean View room but my view was at best an obstructed view of the ocean. When I complained, I was moved to another "ocean view room" but I literally could not see any water from that room. Management made no attempt to improve the situation, so I will avoid Omni Hotels from now on. Staff (other than the front desk) are totally foreign and speak poor English; ordering food is quite frustrating.
The resort was situated perfectly between Hilton Head Plantation and Harbor Town so it was great for the golf courses we were playing. I did not use the pool, beach, golf or tennis at Palmetto Dunes but I'm sure it is beautiful. There was lots of room renovation construction going on
We loved the bed, linens and pillows. The shower head worked well. I didn't like that there was not an ice maker and drink machine on each floor. Also, the elevator was very slow.
The hotel was neat and the staff courteous.
Staff was so friendly especially with my young daughter. The pool was broken the whole time we were there and we picked it because they had an indoor pool but such is life, things break.
There was a lot to love! great room, free WiFi &breakfast. Comfortable bed. East to get to downtown. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Jacuzzi was not working.
The room & and the really pretty couch was nice. I didn't like the cockroach in our room
I enjoy my stay the room was nice
This motel was a excellent price per nights stay. The room was fresh, clean and the beds were perfect. The decorating in the rooms is beautiful. The freee breakfast bar was fresh, hot, clean with several options to choose from. The staff was kind, considerate and very friendly.
good breakfast in the morning, well-kept, clean rooms. good location with regard to downtown beaufort. very friendly, helpful staff. complimentary internet in the business center.
Everything was great
The beds were comfortable and clean and the staff was excellent. The hotel was mostly full of marine families who got up at 5:45 for some event and the door slamming was very loud. I would recommend a room on the second or third floor at the very end of the corrider unless you are getting up early.
INFESTED WITH ROACHES!!!!!!
Comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All was good.
Beautiful location, modern clean rooms, very nice pool area, very friendly and professional staff., That I did not stay long enough
Tychelle at Guest Services was excellent. The room, in particular, the bath was excellent. Several excellent quality, local eating places within 1.5 miles of the hotel on Mathews Dr. @ the Bi-Lo shopping center. Plantation Cafe has excellent breakfast & Fiesta Fresh Mexican Grill is excellent low priced Mexican food. There is also Italian Restaurant and an Irish pub. All have excellent Yelp reviews. Appears staff was weary, not very customer focused. Seems they are pushed very hard to upsell the resort/beach view rooms. Very limited/nonexistent guest activities during off season and with construction underway - noisy. Not a good value for $22/day resort fee. Threadbare pool towels, hot tub not clean. No bar service at pool/activities area.
The Westin is a very nice, Vegas style resort hotel. I would have liked to have seen the areas around the pool decks kept a little more ship shape. There were lots of leaves on the seating and decks. It seemed like they were on their off season staffing levels, so not all tasks were being attended to immediately. If I had paid full price to stay, I would have been disappointed.
Extremely clean + well appointed rooms and beautiful beach. Pools were excellent and the hotel had a luxurious feel to it. Staff was friendly and helped when asked. When I checked in, they asked when I would check out. I told them I would check out at the latest time which they said was 12PM. They DEACTIVATED our room keys by 10AM. We had to wait for 15 minutes (wet from pool + beach) for someone to come to let us into our room. The women who came acted like this situation is normal. (Never happened to me at any hotel I stayed out.) You shouldn't ask for check out time if your not going to keep my keys active until I actually check out. When we got to our first room and attempted to turn on the shower, sewage came out from the tub. It was disgusting but we were immediately given another upgraded room and everything was fine.
Pool facilities are great, the lay-out of the resort good, good amount of shade around pool good waiters to come to your chair. The resort location in Port Royal was good close to good golf courses. Check in was easy and check-out a breeze! Staff were friendly and helpful! no negative items
location, atmosphere, staff, hotel condition, location messy, too many rules, poor hours of operations,
Ocean front . Parking
View and staff . The restaurants are overpriced!!!construction workers started at 7 AM very loud for a light sleeper.I understand the importance of starting early and beating the heat. However those rooms should be discounted.Nothing like opening up your window to see workers on the roof and hearing saws on your vacation.I must say the area that they are working on will have wonderful view...lol
Beautiful location on Hilton Head Island, with great beach and pools, whirlpool. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, rooms were very clean and quiet. The staff was awesome...classy place!
Close to golf, 2 min shuttle to the beach, and close to activities for young children. Adults and couples with older kids would be better off elsewhere Secluded, once you are at the resort, you are at the resort. Access to everyday items, a lighter, groceries, etc... pretty limited. Get anything you want for the trip before you get to the resort.
The hotel was in a beautiful setting, with the golf course surrounding it. The staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. They remembered our names and welcomed us each time we entered the facility. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was incredible. Everything was amazing. I wish there was a way for them to get the landscapers to not cut the grass, power trim the hedges and use the gas blower while guests are sitting outside on the patio trying to relax. I understand that the attention to the greenery is why the property is so beautiful, I was just hoping there was a happy medium.
I and my family really apreciated the welcoming presence of lemonade, iced tea, and water on the hot days. I also apreciated how the staff was able to say my last name correctly. Imediate access to coffee in the evenings.
Wonderful hotel. Staff was very helpful. Room was very nice and spacious.
Quality of the staff and hotel was excellent. The setting is beautiful and close enough to restaurants, shops, and attractions to walk, but far enough away that you felt like you were on vacation. The only small question mark we had was the quality of the pool. It was perfectly adequate in size and similar to most hotel pools, but it did not match the quality of the hotel itself. The deck chairs were plastic and the larger resort (Sea Pines) had run of it, so it was very crowded with children and others. It would be nice if the Inn at Harbour Town had its own pool.
