Pros: Everything was great. We arrived pretty close to the end of thr published check out, but were met and quickly shown to our room and registered for breakfast. We had a nice early meal and headed out. The property owner was fun to talk with and the sheep, horses and dogs were fun to hang out with. Sheets were very clean and smelled great. Overall great value for stopping through the area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay in this place. Incredibly beautiful nature and super peaceful place to spend one or several nights there. A delicious homemade breakfast is included in the price and can be served in the morning with a wide range of options. Very cozy room, great view and convenient parking. We highly recommend visiting this place to anyone.
Cons: There is not really a place where you can walk near the house, only along the road. The hostess said payment did not pass, even though the confirmation was written in our mail and on the website, the hostess demanded to pay. I'm not sure if we had to pay twice or not and it's extremely inconvenient. This issue should be resolved with booking.com, not with the client.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! We enjoy our stay will come back for sure! Thanks for your welcoming and for the great stay
7.5 Good
Pros: Spacious room with Balcony, use of swimming pool and nice garden to walk around.
Cons: Have had better cooked breakfasts.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was tasty although very limited options for myself as a vegetarian - scrambled eggs or baked beans, would have been nice to have had more of a choice! Our room was very spacious with a gorgeous, comfortable balcony and it was a huge bonus having a swimming pool in such a small hotel!
Cons: The owner was somewhat combative upon arrival when I had a query about the payment which was a little off-putting at the start of our stay. The room lighting was poor, and the lack of a dressing table and mirror made getting ready to go out for the evening a challenge - sitting on the floor in a dull corner to see in the only mirror is not ideal for ladies trying to makeup! (The lighting in the bathroom wasn't any better!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and comfortable family run establishment have stayed many times
Cons: Luke warm shower
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant stay
Cons: All aspects good
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Tidy clean modern and beautiful. Had all the facilities including dining hall for our own meals. Family room had very friendly atmosphere for the kids or members as well
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious room, bathroom and balcony. The room was well appointed and there were USB sockets in the electrical wall sockets which were very useful for charging our mobile 'phones. Tea and coffee making facilities were welcome and we made use of the table and seats on the balcony - we didn't have a balcony when we last stayed here. This place puts many others in the area at twice the cost or more to shame!
Cons: There were no towels in our room when we arrived but these were quickly provided when we asked. A bath/shower mat would also be helpful.
Hillview Park - Muir of Ord - Bedroom
10
9.2 Excellent (170 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hillview Park in Beauly, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Glen Ord Distillery and 12 minutes by foot from Muir of Ord Golf Club.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome from Catherine was warm and friendly, everything about the room and the house w as super clean and up to date. The breakfasts were perfect. All in all a fantastic place to stay. I would definitely recommend Hillview park and would not have a second thought about staying there again.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great room all on the ground floor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful hosts and comfortable homelike place to stay. Brilliant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for as we were attending a music festival near by . The host was very accommodating as We requested an early check in which wasn’t a problem. The twin room was huge with lovely views over the countryside . Great selection for breakfast .
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great to have a room (the green room) with both a comfy reading chair and a desk (though it needs a light). The en-suite shower room was the best! New and with wonderful walk in shower. Catherine was warm and welcoming and serves an excellent cooked breakfast. Like everywhere, I had to replace the doona with a sheet and light blanket, which were promptly supplied. Easy onsite parking. My view was of the car park, but the bonus was sunlight. Location-wise? Short drive into Inverness or Black Isle. Beauly village nearby, rather sweet, with restaurants etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome. Excellent room.
Cons: Pillows were a bit hard. Duvet very warm for this time of year.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly, and welcoming, the bedroom was spacious, and the beds were really comfortable, the bathroom was very clean, the breakfast was filling and delicious, it is a beautiful B&B, and the location is handy, for Inverness...
Cons: It's only a small niggle, we had just finished the nc500, and have been spoilt with some magnificent views from our accommodation, but we ended up with a industrial estate. The bathroom has automatic lights, and I can understand why they may be needed, to prevent guests wasting electricity, but of a night if somebody needs the loo, and you open the door the auto light, illuminates the whole bedroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place, clean, good service, good food, they were very nice!
Cons: Maybe a little expensive but a great place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Family room is very spacious and in fact is a self-contained apartment with its own entrance, living / dining room and two bedrooms. Great for a family stay. Just 25 minutes of drive from Loch Ness and major tourist attractions.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The host was quite friendly.
Cons: The bedroom was very outdated, which would’ve been okay, if there hadn’t been a smell like in an home for elderly folks. In contrast the bathroom was quite new and modern, if of not that good quality, but here a bad smell too. Also not very clean. Like it hadn’t been cleaned properly, just covered up with strong (and disgusting) smelling cleaning products. If not for the wifi I needed to make use of, I would’ve left right after breakfast, which also wasn’t that good.

Pros: The location of the property is quite remote but this allowed us to enjoy the peacefulness. The food on offer was superb and the staff could not have been more attentive and friendly.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Loch Ness B and B in Inverness, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Style/decor of room
Cons: Room could be bigger, however there was more storage space than first observation
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming host and a very good and healthy breakfast (choice is given between a continental one or a formula with egg and bacon). Besides, our host gave us very good advices for places to see or eat.
Cons: The sliding door, instead of a regular door, for the bathroom inside the room. It’s not the best idea to guarantee some intimacy.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, had a hotel next door for dinner Breakfast good Clean and tidy Tastefully decorated
Cons: The bed frame was too large for the room, making it difficult to move around it, also the bed very low. There is no room for suitcases, we had to pack smaller bags from the car to take inside. No power outlet in bathroom for hair dryer Photos on website not the same as we stayed in and other 2 rooms appear to be the same size
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kindness of Laura and cleanliness
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s home away from home. Really friendly host.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Laura was very friendly a nd extremely helpful. She showed us a shot cut the pub/restaurant even walking part way with us to make sure we took the right route.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were very comfortable and the host was charming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole space was perfect, easy to find and in a quiet location walking distance to town. Laura was an amazing host who went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, highly recommended!!!!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The property is in a quiet location and offers clean accommodation. It is situated on the edge of Drumnadrochit within short walking distance of places to eat and drink. Convenience store is also only a short walk away.
Cons: In the past 3 months we have stayed in over 80 different hotels and B&B’s as we walk the length of the UK. Value for money is the biggest factor for us and this property does not offer very good value for money. We paid a 3 figure sum to stay there which is extortionate when you consider that - 1. There was no hand soap, shower gel or shampoo provided (although was given when we asked) 2. Power sockets came via an extension cable draped over the bedside table 3. There was nowhere to hang a towel or toilet roll in the en suite or in the room 4. You couldn’t open the wardrobe doors because the bed was in the way (and we apparently had a king sized room!) 5. There was literally two teabags, two uht cartons of milk and two sachets of coffee with one packet of ginger nuts (more was provided upon asking) 6. The finish of the room was awful - bare wood skirting/doors, carpet threshold with en suite was the edge of the cut carpet, finish in en suite was very amateur 7. Breakfast was on a shoe string budget - tea consisted of one mug of tea brought to the table! I could continue with many more issues I have with this property but my main one is that this property is way overpriced and had they not took my payment a couple of weeks in advance of check in I would not have paid the full amount. Not happy and definitely would not recommend - I have no idea where all the gleaming reviews of this property have come from!
6.7 Good
Pros: Laura is friendly person, but we didn’t find the property to be worth what we paid. At that price one can find a 3 to 4* hotel.not

Pros: The house was full of character and very charming, with antiques, books and paintings. The garden was magical and it was a pleasure to explore on a summer evening. The breakfast was excellent too.
Cons: It is not a dislike in any way of the Dower House but the local venues for good quality food were limited. The best place was 20 minutes away.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Gracious and lovely house with a long history; our hosts were welcoming but they also give guests their own space and time to be independent - and the breakfast was excellent. Great location - out of the bustle, in a quiet setting, but with good access to all we wanted to see in the area.
Cons: The shower was of its time! Not so easy to use.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Dower House is a charming house with a magnificent garden! The interior is beautiful, comfortable and cozy. Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of whisky at the open fire. There are only very few rooms and therefor the atmosphere is calm and very personal. The breakfast was good and in-style, in a beautiful dining room with view on the garden...
Cons: For this location - a bit outside the village Muir of Ord - you will need a car. The walk from station was rather long and not comfortable (walking on the side of a busy road).

Pros: Beautiful location. When I was driving into the property through the thicket of trees, I was blown away by its beauty and the greenery all around. Welcoming staff. Picturesque scenery. The room and bathroom were immaculate.
Cons: However, the room was too hot at night, even with the window open. It may have been due to the towel rail in the bathroom but even after turning it off, it was still too hot.

Pros: The room was big, warm and clean with an ensuite big enough bathroom with a shower. The breakfast was fabulous. Staff were nice.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and location
Cons: Where I had my meal in the restaurant
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room and washroom with a big bath. Location allows you to drive easely to many sights around. Restaurant within the hotel exceeded our expectation with: really tasty, portions are big enough, local cuisine and price was very reasonable, though the bill included the alcohol.
Cons: Did not stay here for long enough to find something I would dislike.
7.9 Good
Pros: We arrived and was greeted by a lovely lady on reception who was very warm and welcoming and confirmed out table booking for dinner and then directed us to our room. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was excellent. The Venison Steak was beautiful and well cooked. The bar staff and restaurant staff were really friendly and tentative and very accommodating. The bathroom in our room was modern and clean The hotel was set in a very quaint and quiet village ideal for the peaceful getaway and close to inverness
Cons: The hotel was slightly overpriced, some elements of the room were a little dated i.e. furniture and decor a little plain. O(room was otherwise very clean and tidy) The room lacked sockets by the bedside, considering people use mobile phones as alarm clocks

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast good. They supplied a Fan for the evening as it was so hot. But I had to clean it before use. After washing fan it was good. I always carry a small tool kit just in case there are problems. So I don't complain when SOME THINGS GO WRONG BUT---- I will if the Establishment tries to suggest I'm a problem guest. So the Priory is fab Just supply a clean fan then I'd give you 5 stars. only 4.5 stars this time for room. Five stars for breakfast & Dinners. Just about forgot The Priory have a very good High Tea on offer. This I can recommend..
Cons: Nothing

The bought our black Labrador to see his mother Bella and Auntie Poppy plus Eliza the owner Unfortunately Eliza was busy. The food was delicious I would not eat anywhere else. The hotel was very clean. Not only wAs the hotel had history behind it the area did also. The house had retained its character some people do not like it this way but why spoil it. I have stayed here quite a few times. Nothing would stop me returning. The staff were very helpful also. Thank you Ord House Hotel

Pros: Everything was perfect. The place was magic and we felt very special there. We cannot think about another place of this kind, filled up with history, style and memories. The staff made us feel at home - all of them were really warm and friendly and the food was top class. We are definitely going back there for a longer period of time in the near future. The experience was so much different comparing to the modern, soulless hotels.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that I had to leave!

Pros: Absolutely lovely house in a lovely setting, homely and the odd bit of quirky diy did not detract from the overall ambience. Room was great size with spacious bathroom. Nice not to have TV actually. Short walk down the drive to the Glen Ord distillery where we had a tour and a wee dram (or two) then a peaceful stroll back. Dinner was very good. Will be back. Felt terrible when I looked at the bill later, I hadn't left anything for service as it was not included, the staff deserve it!

Pros: It’s a very beautiful house in the area, with a quiet and calming environment. Breakfast is nice, we missed the dinner time but there seems to be a very nice restaurant. Staff was really friendly. Elegant deco, facilities more than sufficient
Cons: It might be a great place for golf but we were actually on a road trip from Loch Ness to NC 500 so the location is a little bit remote for us, away from the main rd. But it’s actually an interesting journey and it was worth it!

6.7 Good
Pros: The food served was excellent, evening meal and breakfast were equally delicious and good value. Plenty of free parking space around the hotel. A very comfy dinning area and friendly bar.
Cons: The hot water appeared to have all been used up when I arose at 7am and had to take a cold shower, or nothing at all. There was hot water the night before, and later in the morning, but NOT when I needed it! The bathroom was clean but the decoration was in an appalling state, unpainted wood, peeling paint along the window, unpainted paper behind the basin, it really was a surprise because everywhere else looked alright.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The help from staff. The food was all great. Location was great to get to other featires we wantrf to visit.
6.3 Good
Pros: Atmosphere, friendly staff, breakfast

7.9 Good
Pros: We needed a late check-in and early check-out and that process worked very well. The room was clean and functional, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.
Cons: We were a last minute booking and ended up with a non en-suite room - which wasn't ideal but it still worked. There was no hot water for a shower until 6.30am - but then I didn't think to ask about hot water the night before so maybe this could have been arranged.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room clean and pleasant. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was superb
Cons: Shared bathroom across two small hallways
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was able to cater to my late arrival and missed breakfast in the morning.
6.3 Good
Pros: The heating in room was good. They have a nice bar and restaurant.
Cons: There was no hot water. Later the did turn on the boiler (only by my request) but it still didn't work so I gave up and took a cold shower (I was in a hurry). I've never saw someone in the reception, and even when you ring the bell, no one ever comes... Need to look after them... However, they are very nice, just don't know to do the work.
7.5 Good
Pros: Plenty of parking. Good breakfast. Decent evening meal. Quick internet connection.
Cons: The shared bathroom needs an upgrade. More tables in the bar area would be useful.

Cons: The heating was to hot
