The food was excellent. Great location, next to ski rental shop and ski lift. Easy parking. Good facilities all around. Twin rooms did not have equal size beds.
Nice ambiance, friendly people, good buffet breakfeast a bit oldish style but has it's charm; rooms are not very well isolated from noise
the restaurant was very good room smelled of and felt little damp and there was no hair dryer. We stayed in three different places in the alps - this was the most expensive while being the most basic hotel / b&b so maybe not the best value for moneyconsidering it was supposed to be 3 star accommodation
Location & good food. No
Friendly and courteous staff Difficult to find, below average room and and very average food
The ambiance, the friendliness of the staff The beds were not comfortable. i would have glady stayed an extra night if I had slept better.
It was clean and tidy. Reasonably convenient foe the slopes, and reasonable priced, the bath was a strange sit up and beg bath but better than no bath at all. The walls were so flimsy that children and late arrivals could be heard.
Close to Ski Slope and main village Small bath
Decent breakfast Electricity went away 3 times, reception only open 8-20,
Very close to the bus stop and slopes. Breakfast was good too. The room & bathroom very basic. Could do with a bit of upgrade
free private parking, walking distance to restaurants, good breakfast, the hotel looks to be under refurbishment - the breakfast hall is very nicely refurbished, the rooms nevertheless are very basic with very little furniture very basic room, valberg is a winter resort, only two restaurants open in june
Flexibility on arrival; supporting by planning next day trip. nothing to eat - only 2 restaurants in the whole village were open in June.
One of the few places open in Valberg during the summer, it had good location, close to everything, a good restaurant for breakfast and a small, but comfortable room. Ideal for our purpose of a one-night stay. No problems.
The hotel is convenient to stay at, you can walk to all the resturants and there is free parking The TV was very small, and no english channels
The staff and the dining room No
friendly and helpfull staff. Impossible to get a regular heat. It was very difficult to take a shower. Sometimes the water was very hot and than 1 second later it was cold.
Recommended by friends whom visit now 10 years. Excellent chef and cusine. Great walks and views. We were not told it was a fixed evening dinner menu when we reserved or arrived. Owners do not seem to like foreigners even those with 20 years French and live 2 hours from the hotel like us. We and other non-French were treated differently. I would only recommend this hotel to French friends and for the great cusine.
Location, landscape works outside: full of dust impossible to use terrasse for breakfast
Honest, clean service, helpful service Very limited facilities ie no satelite tv, no fridge
Very nice hotel, the staff is helpfull, Grate bathroom and hot water. Good value for money.
Ideal stop off for our trip south basic accommodation. It's worth taking the route south fantastic views. Hotel food very good and reasonable. No bells and whistles just basic but ideal.
Pleasant atmosphere, excellent location for village, lake and hiking of a range of levels of difficulty. Good to have free use of computer and good breakfast offered. No TV in bedrooms and our room was a little small although the bathroom was fine.
The restaurant in the hotel was fine as there was nowhere else to eat. The rooms were very poor, no sockets, no t.v. very small and need some updating
The room was comfortable and cozy although small. There was no air conditioning but the windows with screens let in plenty of air so we slept well. The price of this hotel was the best on our trip. In the bathroom, you had to take a bath or sit in the bath tub using the hand shower -- no curtain/stall. European breakfasts are over-priced and this one wasn't worth the money for a couple pieces of bread, fruit, and slice of ham. The room was very small although okay for us.
Very relaxed atmosphere. We were staying with two dogs and the hotel is very accommodating to animals - the staff were exceptionally welcoming and kind. On quite a busy road, but still with a view of the Lake!
Friendly staff who were helpful. We went during the off-season and couldn't find a restaurant in town. So we ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner...absolutely delicious!
Breakfast, free wifi The room was a bit small
The fine nature, remarkable landscape, free parking for cars, free access to the Internet (Wi-Fi) The hotel is easy for finding
Good position for touring the Verdon area. Room a bit too small.
It was a lovely hotel! The room was fresh and cleaned well evey day. It was close to the chair lift and the food in the restaurant was very good. I was very impressed, we had a great stay there. The spa was an extra bonus and great after a day skiing. Well worth staying there.
food was good, quite good location, other guests A bit more care on keeping surroundings in good shape and more control on the details (ie, lighting the fire on time). Skiing boot room in particular needed a bit of cleaning and sorting out.
Nice and friendly staff. We had a large room suitable very suitable for our family. Hotel I s ok. The village is a little bit evacuated during summer (as one can expect for a winter sport village). Ok for short stay.
Proximity to slopes.
Food, location, peace Building in need of renovation
Friendliness of staff. Excellent food. Cleanliness throughout. A wonderful experience
good service, nice employees, Hotel needs some modernisation and painting - especially back stairs - wifi should be free of charge
lovely hotel, excellent location, very friendly staff, nice balcony looking out onto village square and mountains
Fair room, nice view, quiet surroundings Poor and almost laughable breakfast buffet, which among other things consisted of bread leftover from the hotel restaurant the day before. Ate dinner in the hotelrestaurant where I, because of the waitress's inability to express herself in English, misunderstood that the buffet was only meant as a starter for the overall menu I ordered. Which attracted loud amazement from the waitress in presence of the other guests.
Room was small and basic but other rooms in hotel were much airier
Excellent location and friendly staff.(+cat) Ideal for walking in mountains.
The location, the staff, the atmosphere
Friendly staff. Prompt service. The bathroom was very small, almost impossible to use the toilet as it was so close to the wall in front of it.
Great location and a cozy room considering the 2 star rating. Really a genuine family run business done with the customers interests at heart. None really, maybe abetter shower cubicle in the bedroom would have been nice but 2 star.......what can you expect?
I just stayed one night. The staff was very service minded The village was empty, no cafés or restaurants (other than that at the hotel) was open at this time of the year (end june)
Cramped room. The whole place needs refurbishment. Ok for one night.
Hotel is perfect for skiing 20 meters from the ski lift a couple of restaurants and a bar nearby. You couldn't get a better location. Hotel was comfortable with nice staff. Highly recommend it.
It was my mistake. I didn't realize that it was basic and backpackers where you would have to make your own bed and share facilities.
Very exiting Kitchen when choosing the daily menu. Some rooms are very big for the modern family with 3+ children. Situated near the beautyfull Railway Nice - Digne, with at stopping only 300 meter away, yet no noice is recognized since the train only has a 3 hour frequency. Force your GPS to access Le Furgeret from the south if you don´t like to cross a 2300 m mountaintop :-) Toilets shared with other rooms.
The great atmosphere - we had a wonderful evening with the other residents! The showers were not very efficient.
The staff of the hotel is kind and warm hearted, the scenery outside the hotel is excellent. really far away for anyone prefer taking public transport
The owner is really helpful and amicable. The place is in the square of a very nice, small and quiet village in the middle of a valey next to a small river. Ok, they may charge for the bed linen but it's only 2 euros extra. We had to share the toilettes but they were clean. Try to eat dinner here. We loved it. A bit far away from Castellane and Verdon canyon if that is your destination, but next to Annot, a bigger village that's interesting and picturesque.
Very simple but very nice. And the location (and the village) are special
