Stayed here for 7 nights. The servicewas good, staff were helpful, it's true they are willing to accommodate, you just need to ask. Food was good and of value, no food served at lunch time at the moment, just evenings, also not on Sundays. There is a two for one pub/restaurant 'One and two halves', less than 5 minutes drive, or the 'Lakeside' restaurant opposite a kfc, less than 7 minutes away. Cooked.breakfast was good value, worth the 4.50, good selection for the continental. However, the room was warm all the time, but there was a 16 or 20 inch fan on a stand in the room. I always take a pack of cleansing wipes to give the place a once over, that when you see if theyy really do clean. Pleased to say, they do, and would stay here again. My 12yr daughter agrees, thanks to Gurj, China, Ange & Angela and James the Chef, also credit to other staff not mentioned.
Dirty and smelly bedding. Overall poor cleanliness.
Such a shame that part of it felt like a building site. No bath mat & had to ask for remote control for tv.
Size of room was more than big enough.
Generally speaking, although a relatively new hotel, it appears a bit scraffy and not looked after.
The shower is nice and powerful
The noise of the bathroom showroom on the first floor
very clean room, very modern, power shower excellent, all digital tv channels on the flatscreen tv worked, bed really comfy, plenty of coffee sugar etc in the room..
The heating in the room was way too high, had to open the window for whole night, realised how to unclip the lock and open the window all the way out so wasnt an issue after that.. just think the hotel can significantly save on its heating bills if it turnd the heating down.. also basic cont. breakfast, but not really complaining at £40 a night :-)
The ease of the hotel and how relaxing it was
Warm and comfortable. Reception staff very helpful.
Check-in on a Sunday is frustrating. Cleanliness - only very basic room cleaning.
Friendly and helpful staff (when you can find them).
Cleaner just cleaned the most visible areas, E.g the carpet.
The staff on our arrival, 20.00hrs on 14.08.10 were fantastic. Wonderful ambassadors for hotel. The ability to use dining facilities at any time.
