Pros: Excellent customer service, the staff are extremely helpful!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, nicely decorated room, bio products.. hostess was very caring
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a small boutique hotel which gives a feeling more of a B2B, which I found positive. Saying that, you are not just a number. The owner is so dynamic and communicative, she finds time to spend with each and every guest, to pay attention on the details and make your stay unforgettable. At the arrival I got a rose, fruit in the room and welcome drink, cava or other. Next day we had home made cookies in the room. In the room at your disposal Nespresso coffee and bio tea. Also tea and coffee in the lobby are included in the room rate. Breakfast - is really amazing!!! The variety of bread, jams and hams. at your equest she prepares omelette or any other type of egg and pancakes. I fell in love with her home made bread with nuts and feagues. Cava, fresh orange juice, hot drinks are also served at the breakfast. This is a nice experience, not just an overnighting in an hotel. You won't regret it. I will definitely go back and will recommend everybody!
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the ex mayors house and a listed building. It has been renovated really well and is very well looked after. We felt like we were at home from the moment we arrived. If ever here again we would want to stay here again. Not only are the rooms ideal but they are so spacious too. We had a lounge and massive bedroom with a view over the lovely garden and fish pond. Ideal situation close to beach and city centre too. Dont look anywhere else, this is a wonderful family run place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed ayt Villa D'Hondt last year and loved it so much we took my parents here on a second trip a year later. We plan to stay again and again. Veerle is absolutely delightful. She is a joy to speak with and is an excellent host. The home is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and a unique experience (used to be an old Mayor's mansion that she renovated!). It is a 5min walk to the train station and a 15min train ride to Brugge. You get the convience of being right by Brugge in combination with experiencing a less-crowded coast town that is less expensive. DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Bed&Breakfast, very friendly and helpful (and multilingual!) host. Superb house. Would have liked to stay longer.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was better than expected enough said
Cons: Fridge didn't work
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was as it should be. Staff friendly (both during the communication before arriving and on location), facilities are clean, breakfast has something for everyone. Although check-in is officially after 14.00, we were able to park and check-in at 10.30, which allowed us more free time to explore the town. They also have a nice small children's play area in the lounge, which is nice for families with small kids.
Cons: We liked everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the staff they are really accomodating, friendly and warm welcoming. The breakfast is excellent ! The room is clean, expect I can hear some noise outside but it's totally fine. The location is perfect for shopping and groceries and perfect for summer ! Handsdown to their lounge , i find it so peaceful and romantic !!
Cons: During the night there is a strange sound like it's like a drops of water through out the night, seems like that. Also the sink in the bathroom doesn't drain well :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff (including the parrot). Great location! You wouldn't expect the hotel is that big from inside. Facilities like the bar, sauna, billiard room are quite a nice extra. The breakfast was quite a good surprise. You are asked the kind of eggs you want, and the breakfast variety was very good - there was even champagne!
Cons: Jut felt a bit cold in the room (in the evening) and in the bar (early morning). The double bed was a bit small considering we were 3 (a couple and a 1 1/2 y.o. baby).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The men (Wim) who take care about the night reception and bar was very helpfull and friendly After the intrance off the hotel is hiden a very beautifull place that gives you a very comfortable feeling Quality/price very good The breakfest is perfect and everything what you want is there
Cons: the only negaive point (but its pure my opinion and because I love good coffee) the coffee on the breakfeast is not from a machine with frech beans its the old way (perculator)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff/owners. Very nice breakfast. Nice, clean, well decorated room.
Gatsby Hotel - Blankenberge - Building

8.8 Excellent (411 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Gatsby Hotel in Blankenberge, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Zeebrugge Harbour and Belle Epoque Centre. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. The hotel is trying to sell itself as a four star hotel. It is almost there. The rooms are lovely but the common areas such as the corridors are very shabby. It just needs to be finished. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The parking was a rip off. 25 Euros for 1 night. I do not recall this being mentioned when I booked. It left us feeling quite negative about the hotel right from the start because you really didn't have any option other than to pay it. For the price you pay to stay I think they need to find some better parking options for their guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel decorated with style, all details have been thought. The staff is very friendly, rooms are beautiful with a very comfy bed and the breakfast is exhaustive and delicious!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel room was very comfortable, new and clean. Nice spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed.
Cons: The rest of the hotel seems like it is in the process of being updated but seemed a bit messy in comparison to the reception area and the rooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was comfortable & nicely decorated, with a large ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff friendly. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the beach.
Cons: The room was spacious with a large bathroom which weirdly did not have a door! If I had been sharing with a friend there would have been no privacy, or if someone had a smelly "poop" the room would have not smelled very pleasant. Also for some reason we had the kitchen cooking smells & we were on the fourth floor ....also not pleasant. There also was no full length mirror in the room, given the standard of the rooms these seemed like an unnecessary oversight. The hotel was undergoing renovations so I'm sure the hallways looked better normally but no one ever mentioned this. The parking also seemed very expensive.
7.9 Good
Pros: Big room and clean, really comfy bed and great bathroom with shower/bath! Close to center/beach.
Cons: Breakfast for 20 euro per person.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location (5 minute walk from the seafront) and quite decent breakfast. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: The room was a bit small.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff. Hotel in good position for station to Brugge.
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Very welcoming and agreable hotel manager. My goal was to stay only one night close enough to the sea and beach for sport, so this was for me ideal as a solo traveller.
Cons: Difficult to say, but the hotel is rather small, and the room was not very big (but I have not seen the other room!). Also, the bathroom window was, apparently, just done, and needed painting.
6.7 Good
Pros: nice hotel, quite on the beach; parking is not easy to find; Nice breakfast. >Clean room with large bathroom.
6.3 Good
Pros: the friendly staff.
Cons: the breakfast could be better.

7.0 Good
Pros: Once again, the breakfast and the staff.
Cons: So. For a 4* hotel, should be more! Thank you for a great breakfast. But, no slippers, no good quality for amenities, no breakfast to go.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: great location: exactly between the Blankenberge Beach and the train station; a small but neatly arranged room; good quality and varied breakfast buffet
Cons: I could not understand why they did not have enough keys for the garage - we had to return ours every time we used it.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was really good. Location great. Staff nice.
Cons: Perfectly nice, but unremarkable bland beige type of place. Given the reviews I thought it would be a bit more wow. Parking expensive but I think that's the going rate in the town for overnight.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: The bed accommodation was very pore And we couldn't pay with visa. You have to check out at 11 am and there was only 1 person on the reception so a lot of waiting time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place exceeded all expectations. Great value for money. Booked it to visited Bruge and it was the best decision.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Upon arrival we were welcomed by Anja the host and owner of the B&B. Anja is a very friendly lady who was extremely helpful in showing us around and giving us tips on the area. She even whipped up two bicycles for us to use during our stay. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast offered all the choices one could wish for. Coffee, tea and water was available ad lib throughout the day and a stocked mini fridge in the room took care of other needs. The garden of the property is a peaceful retreat and offers plenty of privacy for reading and/or enjoying the beautiful surroundings and views of the "polders". A couple of grandparents who stayed there while we were visiting were accompanied by their grandkids. The kids seemed to have the time of their lives playing and helping out in and around the barn with the cows and other farm animals. The beach is less than a mile away and can be reached over bike and walking trails through the woods. We loved all of it! Thanks so much Anja and Koen!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very home like and very clean staff was very welcoming and helpful :)
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Freindly hosts clean and comfy
Cons: The fact that you have to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom don't usually lock door when in room but had to in case someone inadvertently tried wrong door and caught us on loo! Also wardrobe in bathroom so not accessible when bathroom in use.

Cons: Nothing to complain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was positively surprised: The 'simple' room was small as I had expected, but nicely decorated, well equipped, and in very good shape. Really good value for money in an otherwise high-priced seaside resort. Breakfast was delicious with some choice, the staff attentive. Though the hotel does not offer parking, but there's a convenient public parking lot less than 100 metres away, during my stay even for free.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had great staff , bar , breakfast, and was near the beach. They were all good at English and helped with where to go and maps and parking. I am 64 and have never come across such help and good staff at a hotel , you can tell why so many customers come back every year. The beach was so very good with so many things for the kids to do. thanks , i will go back soon.
Cons: It was so good that i did not want to leave.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Chaplin is in a great location. The staff exceedingly lovely. Bar lively & well stocked but not a late opener so peaceful sleep. For a 2* hotel the breakfast was great and hostess produced home made nibbles at the bar late afternoon. Lovely stay and fabulous value. Close to tram, train and beach and many restaurants/bars.
Cons: Be aware no on site parking but they made cheap arrangements with a local restaurant for parking at €6/ day. We didn’t intend to use the car so no issue for us.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: It's one of that places you don't want to recommend to be sure that next time you go there they have still availability.
7.5 Good
Pros: Flanders breakfast always good
Cons: Personally I cannot sleep under Duvet. Was too hot. Hotels should have thin blanket option
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast, and the hotel bar was good.
Cons: Location is not great. It's a side street in the middle of town, so the view is either the aircon units of other buildings out the back, or the shops across the street in front. Car parking is in a public park maybe 400 metres away, and costs around 12 euro per day. Somehow we ended up with mosquitoes in our room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: everything

Pros: The hotel was very clean. You was made to feel welcome. Excelent breakfast although not impressed with the evening meal. We had a very nice time where we stayed.
Cons: The evening meal although we did ask at the last minuet. They fitted us in. There is no choice of the evening meal you have to have what was on offer. It was a last minuet place to eat as we could not find any where that was open to eat. Do not let this put you off as the hotel was excelent value for money.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was good, close to the beach...just a 150m away. Clean room
Cons: I will point out 3 things: 1. The problem were the ongoing road jobs just in front of the hotel which means you couldnt reach it by car. Parking "garage" is 200m away from the Hotel even do it does not state when you make your booking. It pays 18eur/day, too much in my opionon. Fits only 2 cars. 2. Water pressure from pipes is funny. You can barely wash your face with that pressure coming out from pipe. 3. Personaly, I hate when there is no one after some 8/9pm at the front desk, but fine.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and good quality for a hotel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property was in a great location for good restaurant’s & town Staff where very helpful

Pros: Croissants was actually very nice, location very good.
Cons: Hotel advertises they have parking, only when I got to the hotel I was told I had to book and I have to park in public car park 5 minutes away and pay 22 euros per day. It was quiet upsetting when I looked at the booking email and found it at the very bottom of long email I had to pre-book in advance, booked this hotel because it said has parking :(. Also hotel says is 4 stars, sorry but that’s not true, fairly 3 stars. Room needs a refurbishment, clean corridors and lift.
