Good standing ,clean, good attention ,exelent plases
Facilities were nice, pool was great and warm. Onsite tiki bar and restaurant were great.
an older resort, but beds were very nice, the shower was to die for! Tiki hut was fun and crowded. The Band was too loud, had to yell at the person next to me. Seems everyone wants to not be heard anymore. Overall great value, I would stay again.
More information about hotel in room needed. How pool towls, where breakfast was, locations of local beaches, taxi phone numbers
It was clean. Cool shower head. No security chain on door. Beds too small and poor quality. Furnishings outdated. Shower turned on by itself in middle of the night. Very loud - was woken up by what sounded like a hundred glass bottles being dumped onto a pile of glass at 1am. Incredibly overpriced for the quality.
Entertainment, clean, comfort. Location , was fantastic The breakfast could be better. Set up was good. Need fruit. Oatmeal , milk, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, toaster. Everything but breakfast
Friendly staff and comfortable room. Not all tv channels HD. Breakfast organization was somewhat chaotic.
Worn-out rooms, dirty carpets and mirrors, totally overpriced and overrated
Everything Not enough to do at night
Beautiful property. Wonderful place to celebrate 20 anniversary. The South End was rather sleepy this time of year. I would stay on the North End next time.
The room was big and a nice view. I didn't like any of the restaurants, way overpriced for IHOP quality food. The restaurants were dirty.
everything it is a perfect hotel nothing
The view and location The pool is too small and nothing fancy or different from any of the inferior competitors.
It smells great! The aromatherapy is amazing! Even outside the lobby. There was a rooftop wedding Saturday night. I chose to pay more for the Westin so I could relax, rather than staying in a cheaper hotel known for partying. I couldn't relax in my hotel room because the music was so loud.
Great luxury hotel for a great value. Remote from Ft. Myers where we stayed previously
The Westin offered luxury at every turn. We loved the room and waterfront views. I would definitely stay there again. Hotel staff were very friendly and willing to help. No complaints.
THE ROOMINESS IN THE UNIT. everything SEEMED EASY TO GET TO, BUT ENTRANCE A LITTLE CONFUSING AT FIRST.
This hotel & resort is the highest quality in every aspect. Location and standard of the accommodation rates 10 from the many hotels i have stayed at in my life! Food and drink facilities excellent and very reasonabl priced.I have no doubt that this will be very popular and prices will double as it becomes well known.we will return! Hotel has quite a small pool although resort has other pools, hotel pool would not cope if hotel was full
Everything The music at the pool
The hotel was close to the beach and resturants. The staff was very helpful. When we got to the hotel they walked us to our room and carried our bags. The resturant on the grounds was very nice, we went for breakfest and dinner The part of the hotel we stated in was a little dated, and there were ants in our room. The parking lot was a mess, it had rained and there was standing water every where, after two days of rain it was like a mud pit! The pool area was nice, but the pool was dirty.
Hotel right next to the coast. Rooms with see view. Many facilities, like a nice swimmingpool and hot tub. They where busy with a renovation. Gives a lot of noise.
The sunsets are beautiful. The staff are very friendly The activities and food are expensive on the island
So much to do. We were only there for one night. Would definitely return for a long weekend on the islands.
My boy really liked the Marina and being able to fish from the dock. I enjoyed the spacious suite, free continental breakbast. Dinner at the Captiva Inn was delicious. The property was quiet and they have a very nice beach. The jacuzzi could have been warmer.
The beach is pristine and the shelling was great. The back three buildings on the bay side need serious upgrade. The tub drain was rusted and the grout was moldy. The A/C unit drained onto the porch and the floor was always wet.
The pool, proximity to the beach and the helpfulness of the staff. Everything about our stay was wonderful.
We loved our room and being able to look right out to the Gulf of Mexico! Getting to the beach was so easy because it was right there! The staff was very helpful, and friendly! The complementary breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day. We will definitely be returning to the Tween Waters! We didn't like leaving to go home!
All staff, friendly and helpful. On the premises it was only 1 or 2 minute walk to get to the pool or the spa, rest. , dock, beach. Restrooms on property all over so u don't have to go back to your room to use. Peaceful place, wonderful stay.
The location/ view The front desk / only one was frienly and eficient
Proximity of restaurants options. Our room was on the ground floor opposite the fish restaurant so we got noise from there also noise from housekeeping trolleys and other guests going to their cars at the front of the room.
everything was great---except that one of the vending machines ate my dollar...but i could have gone to the front desk for a refund..but it was late. otherwise, a great experience and a great breakfast in the morning! i will recommend.
This is our 4th stay at this hotel. Breakfast was fresh even when we got there late. Hotel is in a good location to restaurants. Very clean and updated.
Wonderful staff, clean comfortable and very good breakfast.
Great location close to food and to the Kennedy Space Center, very happy.
Room smelled, the beds were uncomfortable and it was not as clean as it should be. Music was played outside from two close by restaurant/bars, one across the street and the other down the road that made it difficult to sleep.
This hotel was conveniently located on the main street in Cape Coral. The hotel was modern, up-to-date and clean. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating. The hotel even provided discounts for some of the local restaurants. There was a free breakfast at the hotel with eggs, pancakes, fruit, muffins etc. and beverages, like coffee, were available 24hrs a day. The hostess, Cathy, was the best! She was very personable and customer focused.
This hotel was very nice and clean. There are restaurants and bars nearby.
Staff needed some customer service training. We asked for a basic necessity from the front desk and were greeted with ' does this look like a hotel'...and inaccurate information on the nearest place to get the item. 5 miles when it was actually found at a gas station a block away. So as long as you're not looking for friendliness you're good to go.
We stayed at this hotel while we were visiting in Cape Coral and I have to say that it was a very good choice. The rooms were very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was way above average. In short, this hotel had everything we needed and then some.
As we were purchasing a house in Cape Coral it was convenient to everything we needed. The motel was clean, comfortable, and a good value.
get a room on the main street side. The back of the hotel has 2 bars that plays music at night and LOUD but it ends early..other than that its a great hotel.
This was my first stay at the 5-story Holiday Inn Express, just over a short toll-bridge from downtown Fort Myers, Fla. The hotel fronts a busy, 4-lane street leading to the bridge - so ask for a room at the back (overlooking the parking lot) if the road noise will bother you. That and the rather 'institutional' free breakfast provided by the hotel were the only downsides to our stay. The room was a good size and layout similar to the Hiltons where I usually stay. Each room has a balcony, with chairs, flat screen tv, small (unstocked) refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, hair-dryer, phone and private bath with tub and shower. The room decor was modern and comfortable. Each of the two queen sized beds had 4 pillows and a duvet with removable (laundered) cover. There are several restaurants within walking distance including a Perkins next-door and a McDonalds 4 blocks away. Ice makers are located on every floor, and there is a coin-operated laundry for guests. The contained pool area is at the east end of the complex. Ample lighted parking surrounds the building. Staff was efficient and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with updated furnishings. In-room air-conditioner was slightly noisy but put out a lot of cold air, and there is a convenient desk/table and two chairs and plenty of drawer space in the room. Try the near-by Monkey Bar for very good food and live music. There are few hotel options in Cape Coral itself, and tolls on the short bridge into Ft. Myers are $2 each way, so this is a fine option should you need to stop over in Cape Coral -- although the town itself lacks the charm and historical interest of it's neighbor (Ft. Myers).
Staff was very helpful with personal needs, room cleanliness was great, breakfast and service excellent
The room was clean and met our needs. The breakfast offerings were varied each day during our stay. We had a fire alarm and had to leave the hotel early in the morning. No hotel staff gave any direction or assistance during the fire alarm. I had to ask at the desk the next day for information about the fire alarm. I got a very glib response, there was a problem in the laundry room. No one ever said they were sorry for the inconvience of having to leave the hotel early in the morning and stay outside for almost an hour.
Liked the discounted price, convenient location to family's home, roomy bathroom, room amenities. * No access to Fox News, the only channel we watch. * The bed nearest the air conditioner had springs that could be felt. * The thick bed cover was much too warm and no other choice was provided so the temperature had to be turn way down. Always too hot or too cold - rarely comfortable. Should have removed the comforters from the duvets. Will do next time.
Great room, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was good and changed every day.
front desk no restaurants or bar
Very friendly hotel staff, good breakfast
The location of the cottage near to the beach and restaurants was good and the provision of a fridge is a necessity. so good to have that facility. There could have been better provision of silverware eg we were not supplied with spoons for the occassional coffee in the cottage.
The breakfast was excellent and ability to use beach chairs and umbrella's was good There was not a coffee machine (I did ask for it) and did not get one, The cottage was cute but shabby and needs some major repairs(bathroom) and upgrading or otherwise needs to be rated as budget/backpacking.
Captiva Island is a magnificently attractive hotel in a magnificently attractive location. Also the adjacent bar/restaurant (same ownership?) was the finest meal of our 2 weeks in Florida. A more convenient (in house) location for the included breakfast in keeping with its high standards would complete the package and customer offering to a consistent high standard.
I like to say that I was blessed that day , upon my arrival to the captiva a lady told me that my room did not have a kitchen. I told her that my reservation said I had a kitchen. she said no and she daid that she did nto have anything else available. so she gave a room right next to the office. the room look big, mini fridge and a macrowave, but the ac did nto work . so she told me that she was going to have to give me the big room. this room it was huge, moderm kitchen and bathroom. I think the price was 500 dollars and I got it for 133 b/c the ac did not work
If you want to take time to relax and chill out, Captiva is the best place to do this. The 'cottage' Hibiscus was fine but is in need of refreshing, the bathroom particularly, however thought it was excellent value for money and a perfect location for the beach and restaurants. Thought the room could have had a better daily clean, bedding and towels were changed but no evidence of floors cleaned or any dusting done during 5 days there.
I liked being on the Island. The room was dingy and smelled moldy. For the amount of money I'd recommend staying somewhere else.
Good location in easy walking distance to the beach on Captiva + in direct neighbourhood to some of the popular restaurants on the island
The Celebration House is a terrific facility with a central local to the beach and other islalnd acitivities. Would return. The cottage we were first booked at was right behind the K. L. Rest. so esthetically a turnoff. It was cute but a bit musty. Angie (the Mgr.) offered us a room in the Celebration House upon request. All Good than.
Decorating was fun and nautical. The location was perfect to visit with friends. They have fishing equipment to loan you while there however we did not spend enough time there to take advantage of it. The air conditioner was so noisy that you could not hear the TV. The bathroom is very small.
Had to change rooms three times due to cleanliness.
Location, kitchenette, TV, bed, price. Carpet
The first room that we checked into was absolutely DISGUSTING!!! There were things in the room that should have NEVER been there. It looked as if it had not been cleaned in a month...dust EVERYWHERE, urine on the toilet and other things in the bathroom I will NOT mention. I took pictures it was so gross. The manager on duty, Mike, was very pleasant, and upgraded us to a much nicer room that was perfect for our family, but only after checking it was clean for me first. He was extremely appologetic and offered to help us with anything we needed. He was so embarassed about the first room that I felt sorry for him.
Easy drive to Sanibel Island Room in need of being updated, carpet stained, kitchen but no microwave, only 1 chair, bathroom sink had a drain problem - told management nothing done about it, WiFi only available in reception area, battery in smoke detectors needed to be changed- at 2 AM, tube TV with limited stations, no breakfast, outside porch had ashtray with cigarette butts that were never emptied
It was close to places Very out dated. It had a tube TV from the 80's. shower was clogged and drained slowly.
Large room with a kitchenette, easy to find and close to our destination.
Stayed there 7 years ago and enjoyed it. Hotel just went through an extensive remodel and barely recognized the place. Staff was very freindly, efficient and accommodating. Nothing.
Nice big pool, room was clean, staff was friendly restaurant wasn't open, no laundry
The cozy decor and ambiance of an 'old school' resort. The staff was super nice and they had quite a few guest amenities that put them over the top, the huge deck on the waterfront (with gas grill!), fishing poles, kayaks and paddle boats. N/A
The cleanliness was exceptional. Except for a slightly off smell in the living room area which I felt smelled like urine (but my fiancee who works in a nursing home insisted it was not!) I felt the place was perfect and low key as I like it. The male who checked me out that day was not very pleasant. He seemed bored and as if he didn't want to be bothered.
Clean and well kept. Nice extras - free use of kayaks, bike trails close by.

When I arrived to check in after midnight, I found that the room I had reserved was not what I was given. I reserved a smoking room (rare to find) and found that the entire wing of the hotel was non-smoking and a smoking room was not available. Front desk staff said my reservation stated non-smoking, while I had the email confirmation that stated a smoking room was reserved. I had to contact hotels.com who handled the booking and they were able to locate a nearby hotel that could accomodate me. I did not stay at this hotel, they were not helpful at all, not taking into account that I was travelling alone and it was by this time after 1 AM
