The variety of junk and art Nothing in the bathroom exept a bottle of soap on the wall not even a showercap or a washcloth. The hotel hasn't been renewed since about the 60's
The breakfast and the scenery n/a
This is the 2nd time we've stayed there. Lovely European property. Excellent restaurant. In a beautiful setting. Golf course wasn't particularly good, but O.K. Rained while we were there, so that probably influenced our experience.
The location of the hotel is spectacular, with an amazing view of the river! The staff is very helpful and kind. Eating at the hotel's restaurants is a really good option too. The city is lovely, a very nice place for wine lovers and the hotel is perfectly located to explore all the options that the Rhein Valley offers. The rooms are a bit noisy, both due to the trains on the other side of the river and due to the thin walls. The lack of free internet access in the rooms is also a problem.
Very helpful staff, lovely room, parking inexpensive at close no wireless connection in room apart from T mobile which is expensive,
great staff. location. decor no
The relaxed atmosphere and position of the hotel. Well worth the supplement for a river view.
The position right on the Rhein, with a little balcony was great. The noise between rooms was pretty bad, and although the staff was responsive to inquiries or requests, I have to say their manner was a bit dour
Great as always
Loved it! The perfect location on the banks of the Rhine. Staff couldn't have been more friendly. Pool a bit small, but otherwise everything just right. Will I go back? You bet!
The location is really excellent The room and communal areas are rather dated and not very clean. The staff not very helpfull
This is a fantastic hotel. We have stayed here before and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Great location, nice rooms, good facilities. Will come again, if in the area. Pool was not open at 7 AM the day I was there.
Overlooks the Rhine River ! Friendly but facility needs improvements !
Verry nice staff and good atmosphere, good food and a nice room, overall verry sattisfaied.
excellent buffet breakfast and very helpful staff heating didn't seem to be very controllable - either too hot or too cold
From the moment we arrived we were made welcome by the hotel staff. A wide choice and variety for continental breakfast and the hotel is in an excellent location on the river front in Boppard. There is not a great deal of parking at the front of the hotel. It is cheap for a 24 hour period (only Euro 2.50) but I can imagine that it would be manic to find a parking place in the height of summer.
incredible nature by Rhein, lovely people and very nice evening, with sunset and good atmosphere outside sitting in the restauransts by the riverside. no
We had a balcony room so we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the Rhein and all the barges and boat traffic also the view across to see all the train traffic. We visited in the fall and the weather was nice so enjoyed the leaves changing. only a short walk to town.
We liked the convenience of the hotel. We had a river side room with balcony, which was fantastic. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful and the rooms were very clean.
We enjoyed the convience of the Hotel to the Rhine and to the town. At night the sound of the trains across the Rhine was disturbing.
It was a beautiful hotel. Nice staff. The trains across the Rhine River ran it seems like every 20 minutes all night long. We were kept awake so much of the night with the Trains and they were loud. Very noisy and upsetting when you can't sleep. Windows, glass door were shut tightly still could hear Trains. Would never stay at this hotel again because of the location, I would rather stay at another town on the Rhine River.
Excellent value for the price. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast, located only a five minutes walk from train station. We got a very basic double room with bathroom very clean. I didn't try the internet service, so I don't know how it works. They also own a wine yard and make an nice Riesling which you can buy at the lobby. They only take cash, no a big deal just be prepared, plenty of ATM's around
helpful and friendly staff ,wonderful location ,great breakfast nothing
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Poor soundproofing and rather small rooms. Bathroom needed refurbishing/modernising.
view from balcony excellent very noisy & frequent trains even during night.
The room was small but had a view of the river over the train tracks. It was clean and everyone was so very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good even though the waitress each morning was not exactly a cheerful lass. She was the only person our whole stay whom did not smile and greet us kindly. All in all it was a nice place and comfortable.
We had Rhine view with balcony - definitely worth the extra. Friendly and helpful staff. Noisy unless windows kept closed (river traffic).
It was so close to the Rhine none
It was right on the banks of the river. WiFi broadband kept on dropping it's signal and found it very difficult to work. Not a lot of choice at breakfast which was continental. Hot water took an age to come through if you used it in the daytime instead of morning. If you have the window open on the river side of the hotel then be aware that the freight trains accross the river run all night.
The staff was really nice and the location is excelent just in front of the river. The breakfast was very nice too and from the breakfast room you can see the beautiful river through the window. Finally, the city is really worthy to visit, with its narrow streets and its view of castles on the montains. Due to a misunderstanding while we were having breakfast the lady came to clean our room, so when we came back everything was tidy as for a new guest, so we felt a little as if we should have been leaving and not enjoying the time left in our room.
View to the Rhein. Maybe the breakfast is not so varied.
Location overlooking the river. Very friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. Bathroom was a bit small especially the shower with shower curtain
Nice staff, large rooms, great value
The staff were always happy to talk and offer advice on local amenities.
The Hotel was in a great location right on the Rhine Promenade in Boppard. Friendly helpful staff made it a great stay for a few nights.
My family stayed at the Hotel and it as excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful the two rooms we had were very clean. we had a room on the first and third floor you can see more from the third floor balcony.
Personal touch from the owner, nothing was too much trouble. Will visit the hotel again and recommend to all my friends. Nothing at all, perfect.
The room we booked was a nice bedroom/living room suite, but in the annex, not facing the river. We were able the upgrade to a riverfront room with a balcony for an additional Euro 17 per night, which we felt was a good value. There were 5 or 6 of these rooms on each floor, and I think a group with 2 to 5 adjacent rooms would enjoy socializing across the balconies.
I loved that the hotel is right on the bank of the Rhine and is just a few steps from the pier. I had a balcony room which overlooked the Rhine. The rooms are on the small side and the furnings are rather dated although clean. The staff/owner are helpful and friendly. I wish the barrier between the balconies were higher - they are just about waist high so you're basically standing right next to the guests next door if you're both outside. The rooms also allowed smoking so there was a smell in them (perhaps there are non-smoking rooms?). It was a very cosy hotel however and I had a great time here so would definitely come back if I were to stay in Boppard again.
The friendly welcome we received when we turned up on the motro bike. Secure parking for the motorcycle, & a good variety of breakfast, would stop there again.
We stayed at the Hotel Pension Boos as it was the nearest, available and reasonably priced accommodation for the August Rhine in Flame festival. Although the procession doesn't go to Boppard, the accommodation provided us with a great base. Hotel Pension Boos was pretty much what I expected, although it's worth noting that it's more of a large B&B or guesthouse than a hotel. As others have said, the parking is also very cramped.
Clean, friendly and relaxed and at a reasonable price. We found this hotel ideal for our needs, situated close to the station and not far from the town centre. We would use it again if we travel in this area.
A friendly family run B&B close to the centre of Boppard. Very accommadating to all our wishes & excellent for young children. Close to a high speed railwayline which was occasionally noisy
Room was very clean and within walking distance to the Rhine River and the shopping area. In a quiete residential area. The mattresses were too hard for our liking. It was warm when we were there so we slept on top the quilt, on the mattress. which worked well for the 2nd night.
The owner was really welcoming. Room was very clean and comfortable. There was nothing about the hotel that we did not like. Would stay there again.
Very friendly owners Nothing
easy access by car, secure parking.
Friendly. Three person room three single beds with part partition wall. Very nice. Could have been just a little more choice at breakfast
the accomodation was excellent with a super terrace to have drinks on.Good security for our motor bike
Lovely Welcome and a very pleasant atmosphere.
Good food & very good family run hotel
The breakfast was superb, especially the home made yoghurt.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was great! The room was spacious, quiet surrounding
this is a family run establishment. Wife checked us in; husband is the chef; son and brother bartend and wait tables. All were exceedingly friendly and accommodating. Room was very comfortable and large. Bathroom was also large and well appointed. Balcony was an added bonus. Restaurant was intimate. Food was very good - not particularly gourmet but more like "homey" German. English menu was not available but waiter (the son) very charmingly translated for us. I think this hotel is a bit out of the way. It didn't bother us because we were just staying one night on a trip from Rothenberg through the Rhine Valley to view castles, then on to Brussels the next day. But we didn't see anything within walking distance if one wanted to shop, dine or drink.
Breakfast was so good. no extra bed was available.
Excellent American breakfast - yoghurt to die for. Excellent evening meal.
The staffs were very kind and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was great! The room was spacious.Free WLAN. The extra bed was a little bit narrow.
We had a very late arrival at night due to driving delays and the woman at the reception desk kindly stayed to admit us and showed us to our room. The room was immaculate, big, and the view was lovely. The breakfast was well done and very good. The area was quiet. Even with a car it was a bit inaccessible and hard to find without a navigation system.
A superb hotel in all respects. The room, which had a balcony looking towards the Rhine gorge, was spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel is located in a peaceful location within a small village, about 4 miles from the town of Boppard. The breakfasts were excellent and the dinners served in the restaurant were superb and very good value. The hosts were extremely friendly and attentive.
Ease of access to the city centre Rooms noisy particularly at night - water pipes, people movement etc
Room spacious, and clean. all facilities were in the main building- difficult in wet weather!
Very nice hotel but basic. Limited car parking. Staff very good.
the roomj with balcony was excellent. welcom gift was thoughtful. dinner in the evening the food was awful. Kept warm for too long and if you were late down half of it was gone. not replaced. food had no imagination
The position of hotel was excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful Parking was very difficult. The hotel car park is very small and we had to spend a lot of time seraching for somewhere to park that did not require us to constantly be paying money into a meter. Decor and furniture in hotel very dated.
Friendly helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent position for our needs. Hotel generally was a bit dated - could do with smartening up.
Very nice hotel. Great location in Boppart right on the Rhein.
Location to town, view of Mosel from room balcony, food Train noise, especially noticeable at night
Location on the Rhine riverbank very near to the village centre was superb. Good value for money and would stay there again. We stayed in the main building but would agree with other reviewers that the annexe should be avoided. Staff were friendly but no-one offered to help with our luggage on arrival or departure and it was clear we were struggling - I could have asked ror assistance but shouldn't have had to.
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, breakfast perfect. Hotel not easy to find just even with a gps, behind a huge bus station. I was just 20 m from the entrance and couldn't see it.
The hotel is new and right beside teh train and bus stations. Only a 20 minute walk to the merging of the Rhine and Mosel rivers.
We enjoyed the old town, but were a bit disappointed that the castle was under repairs We had specificaly asked for a non-smoking room, but were taken to smoking rooms. In the end, we opted for a downgrade of rooms and the staff did manage to find a non-smoking room in this category
Modern design and cleanliness. Easy to find close to train station Staff not overly helpful or knowledgable of tourists' needs. Seedy feel of train station opposite. Long walk to old town.
Very clean; nearby parking; just at the bus station
Rooms oK Yes At check-in the receptionaist behind desk indicated breakfast was included. I topld her I thought not. I asked her to double check and she confirmed yes. So when I check out I was charged 44Euro for breakfast. I was upset that I was misled after I que
Friendly and helpful at front desk and esp mr at restaurant inside hotel!!!
Super clean rooms that are well appointedParking includedexcellent restaurant Check in staff said breakfast was included and then it was an expensive $12 Euro extra per person at check out. Ouch.
Very big room and very nice (but little expensive) restaurant.
The outstanding view and the room itself See statement above
The restaurant offered excellent meals at very reasonable prices and provided a good buffet breakfast. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
the Diehl's hotel place near the river, it made me quite relzx no, air conditioner. its quite hot.
The lovely room, decorated nicely with a view of the Rhine River. The service at check in was extremely slow.
Good service and food. Value for money.
Very comfortable room with a river view.Nice breakfast. A slight disappointment was that the breakfast buffet differed depending on how busy the hotel was. i.e. no scrambled eggs/bacon available on 'quiet' mornings.Given that there is a charge for the breakfast this was a bit of a letdown.Travellers should also be aware of the fact that the hotel is opposite Koblenz and unless you eat in the hotel in the evening you have to move across. That said, once you work out possibilities , not too bad.
Very clean, comfortable room with a wonderful view. Lovely location. All staff excellent, friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves delicious meals. Good choice of breakfast, (although a little pricey)Changing facilities in the swimming pool. We would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Internet charges were a bit much and smoking permitted in the lobby.
Super location. Excellent Room. Quality restaurant None
This is a great hotel. The rooms are extremely nice. What a pleasant surprise! The smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. I think their separate smoking area does not work. Should be strictly no smoking all over the hotel.
The hotel is pleasantly situated by the river Rhine.
The facilities for a disabled guest, the food and the location beside the river Lack of easy access to the Keller for a disabled person in a wheelchair..
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast Was woken at 5.30 am by a group leaving to go on a coach tour.
friendly and comfortable, good location and a nice cellar bar. no tea and coffee making facilities and during the evening I waited twenty minutes at reception for a purchase of mineral water to take to the room.
Pleasant helpful, staff. Good food, excellent price. Parking facilities too limited.
Very close to the Rhine, excellent position for exploring the Rhine Valley, very good value
Good location. Parking on site. Room was comfortable and clean No lift.
Quiet location, friendly staff, good breakfast
Loved the riverside location and being able to eat outside by the river and the beautiful views.
Ease of car parking
the phone was not working in the room and the tech would only fix it in the next day
central location extremley friendley & profesional efficient staff
Welcoming, helpful and accomodating staff. Construction of a new hotel was taking place right next door to our hotel which resulted in disturbance. The overall experience was affected would however recommend if there's no construction.
The location is closed to the pier and the Deutsche Eck.
This is an excellent hotel, with multilingual courteous desk staff and a recent refit. The breakfast is outstanding (especially on Sunday), and the hotel staff cannot be friendlier or more helpful. My travelling companion had to eat lunch in the restaurant, and the order was wrong, not great quality, and the service argumentative and surly. Best avoided for food during the day.
The water for tea, coffee from the burco was not hot enough - sometines only warm
I really enjoyed my stay. When I got there, front staff welcomed me with smile and gave me a good scenery room where I could see river. And It was under construction out there, but I couldn't hear the noise in the room. Beautiful room, clean bathroom, convenient espresso machine and delicious breakfast. Everything was perfect. Like I said, Everything was perfect.
reception staff were helpful ran out of some breakfast items early; waitress at dinner hard to find when not attending to empty tables - only 3 people in restaurant; dirty glasses outside the door - no clean ones inside.
The staff and servers were very friendly and helpful. Our bathroom needed some work. The shower handle fell off every time you tried to turn the water on. There was mildew on the tile in the shower and the drain did not work very well and didn't look very clean.
Breakfast is ok, International hotel Creating a new building at the opposite
Good service when we needed to change room for a less noisy one We first got a room on 9th floor that had a high level humming noise, impossible to sleep in
The owner (John) is English and a very convivial and friendly host. The hotel is not large but very clean and welcoming. I will definitely use it again.
The personal attention that the host gave to all his guests! He was very helpful.
A wonderful stay with great value. John is the perfect host at a great inn located right in the middle of Boppard. Lounge was a little smoky for our taste, but not unusually so for Germany.
It was good to have an English owner. The owner was always helpful. The shower flooded overnight and on reporting it he immediatly offered a new room. Breakfast was ample. Car parking was only a few minutes walk away. Having internet access was a bonus. None.
the staff was very friendly and helpful and very good breakfast
The hotel and staff were excellent, friendly and careing, breakfast was continental, but again an excellent selection, I would recommmend anyone to visit this hotel. None found.
The location and easy of getting to the hotel. Really enjoyed the staff and the family-orientated surroundings.
The owner could not do enough for you. It was very clean and comfortable.
The owner, John, went out of his way to be helpful. Many expat. English people there.
This hotel and the town of Boppard were just fantastic. We stayed for 4 nights, the service was great, the host was very engaging, and the breakfast buffet was good.
An excellent stopover for those looking for serenity at a budget price. Very prettily located between the hills above Boppard, your sleep is accompanied by the soft gurgling of a stream and your wake up call is from swallows, finches, et al. Excellent and ample breakfast is the prelude to your walk to a lift which takes you up to the hills and woods above the Rhine for a delightful afternoon of walking and marvelling.
Jaap and Netty the hosts were a great help in organising things, and good to chat to as well. No
The owners are the most delightful people who made the stay feel like being at homw. NOthing was too much trouble and although they are just starting out and will change the decor over time, the old decor hardly distracts from the wonderful hospitality. The breakfast was also superb. No
Easy location to the boat docks for a Rhine Aflame. A little bit of a walk, but not that far. Rooms were quiet. Just a little bit away from the ity center (for someone with a walking problem). Breakfast was a little sparse.
Near the Rhine and on the edge of the pretty town of Boppard. Very handy for the break in our journey across Germany
The location is great for weekend trip. The room was very clean. Excellent breakfast. Great hosts!
we spent an excellent five days in this friendly family run hotel ideally positioned for the area, highly recommended.
The BergschlöÃchen was ideal for our 3-night stay. It was excellent value for money, we were warmly welcomed, we had a delightful room and the hotel is situated in a very quiet and convenient location. We thoroughly and unreservedly recommend this hotel. There are none whatsoever.
good welcome excellent breakfast no evening meal available but very good resturant 5 minutes away
The rates were good. The room was clean, though basic. It is walking distance (though a little long walk) of Boppard town centre. The staff - (I iteracted mostly with Yep the Dutch guy) is good - fluent in english and smiling and helpful. There is free WiFi in the dining room area. The bathroom is a little too small - almost no space inside. No place to even hang the hand towels or clothes. The TV is antique (in case someone is interested in a TV), and the remote control does not work. The corridors smelled a little musty. This is not clearly a basic place, and the rooms are basic. And keep them informed if you are planning to arrive late - as the main door is locked, and they need to let you in (would be very important in cold climes). No lift - and the rooms are at least one level up - so beware if you have heavy luggage, or elderly people.
Brand new hotel. Everything works perfectly. Polite and efficient reception staff. Not so easy to find it, because of its location in a complicated roads junction. But once you get out of the traffic mess, it's at 15 minutes walk to city centre.
Comfortable, not too expensive, clean and ordered room/common areas, amiability of the staff, the breakfast buffet was diversified and consequent Location of the hotel: Its location makes it difficult to find, even with a map.
Very clean, nice hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to shops, restaurants, and the train station.
Convenience to the city centre.Staff were welcoming and efficient. The Hotel was bright and clean looking. More towels would have been appreciated.Pillows were insufficent, but were quickly added to on request.
It was very clean. Lots of parking available (free). The design was modern but cute. I liked the check-in machine, so we could check-in after hours. Instead of a key, the door used an electronic PIN code, so we didn't have to worry about losing a key. Internet was available. I also liked that they provided an extra blanket, so we didn't get cold.
Hotel was typical Germanic efficiency without the room being particularly remarkable. Receptionist was extremely helpful; car parking was convenient, and the distance to walk to the town centre took only 15 minutes. Whilst the hotel was more than adequate for an overnight stop, it would not appeal for a longer length of stay.
Excellent B&B. Good location at the city entrance, walking distance to the historical center. Good shower. Good price. Comfortable and clean room with TV, A/C, telephone, etc. Breakfast is expensive at 6,90. But there is a shopping center nearby, with a supermarket, it’s a good alternative to eat cheaper.
I am spoiled with nice hotels, and I was really impressed with B&B hotel - I did not expect that it is so nice, very clean, new furniture, new repair work. Staff is very friendly and helpful- I forgot a golden ring in the room after check out, few hours later they help me to find it! The hotel is not far from the center, around 10 min by walk, when you explore the city, it does not really matter. We did not hear any noise from the big road after the hotel. I would recommend the hotel as a good value for money, very clean and cosy hotel.
Price and friendly staff
Good clean hotel within easy access to local attractions Room too hot even on low temp setting. Staff not aware of local facilities such as restaurants and international money exchange.
Very comfortable hotel. rooms very clean. Helpfull staff. Good location near Koblenz. Nice garden.
Superb view from 10th floor! Excellent breakfast! The best all our holiday!
Away from the center of the city nestled on top a hill. Nice view. We booked a Leisure Deluxe room. Rooms are listed as follows: On Wyndham Site: Business Room (30 sqm) Junior Suite (37 sqm) Standard Double (18 sqm) Standard Single (18 sqm) Suite (70 sqm) Suite Deluxe (85 sqm) Superior Double (22 sqm) Triple Room (52 sqm) Notice, the only place the word “Deluxe” exists is the "Suite Deluxe" which is 85 sqm! When we arrived, we were told we would be given an upgrade of a room as our room type was not available. We were given a Triple Room. How can we be upgraded if we booked the best room they had? After complaining about the room, we were told that they only had 2 different room types: standard and business. The business room was the same as a triple. After showing the staff their website, they confirmed that it is misleading but that there was nothing they could do. They had nothing else to offer. One staff member said, if they had a suite, they would give it to us. So I proceeded to go online to find that I could still book a Junior Suite. The room was supposed to have a “deep soaking tub”. We got a 80cm x80cm shower. I'm still scratching from a bedbug bite. Mattress was sagging (we got 2 twin beds and booked a king). The room and balcony needed paint. On the balcony the paint was actually flaking off. The shower faucet was old and deteriorated. The radiator hadn't been dusted off in months. The safe was so small that you couldn't even fit a netbook... no key anyway. The sink was installed lower than code. The pillows were several years old. The curtains would not close. And we were given no maid service the first day because we left the room around noon. 4 stars? Don't go there!
Great hotel, good restaraunt, amazing views.
The food was excellent and the room was the best i had ever had.
A True 4 star business hotel. Excellent value for the money the room was spotless, the hotel staff very helpful. The location was excellent for sightseeing of the Rhein/Mosel Region. $20 euro breakfast was not included in the price.
It was clean and the view was lovely from our room That there is no swimming pool - everywhere there are signs around the hotel that say SPA or thermal spa - and the swimming pool is empty in a state of disrepair - however the countryside next to the hotel is very nice.
It was an affordable hotel with good service and a nice view. It was a considerable distance from Koblenz
Staff should be fluent in English. The rooms should have air co.
We enjoyed our stay because the staff was very friendly and accomodatimg. The hotel is very nice, the room was very clean, and the breakfast had a good variety. The breakfast was costly if you are not a big eater.
staff where helpful, breakfast was brilliant plenty of choice, beds where very comfortable meals in the evening where very expensive 25 euro for buffet not including drinks, bar menu was rubbish, not much choice and quiet expensive too. local food is definately worth it
the staff were very friendly its quite old, needs updating.
Friendly and accomodating staff, right next to the train station, adequate breakfast, and a good value if you're just looking for a cheap place to stay. I don't know what the complainers on this site were expecting for 40 Euro per night. Buckingham Palace? Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Quit your limey whining and buck up if you want a 4 star hotel. It's a little worn out, kind of like british dental work.
It was direct near the main station, the room and the bathroom was enormous and relatively clean. The breakfast and the dinner were quite good.
Very central, but adequately sound-proofed. Walking distance to many sights. Friendly staff. Good restaurant/bar across the road. Furniture and fittings very run-down and/or in disrepair (though beds were comfortable enough), questionable cleanliness throughout the hotel.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. Clean but oudated in style. The price is reasonable and it is centralise. The hotel is very out of style, the carpet need changing, no toileteriies. No remote control for T.V and the heater was not working properly.
Very friendly and helpful staff who were happy to serve breakfast at 06.00 on our last day to enable us to catch a very early trainBreakfast was excellent and very filling. Stay was good value for money and enjoyable. Lack of shower curtain and shower head that could not be attatched to the wall.
Everything was okay compared with the price. The hotel was good but seemed to be a little bit worn down.
The hotel is very well located for shopping, sight seeing, restaurants and the train station. I didn't like having no towels for two days and waiting over an hour for a member of staff to some up. I also don't like being sworn at when trying to pay a bill with a credit card.
Location. It did not seem very clean. The sheets were dirty. The rooms need the renovations, specially the shower.
The hotel is central & it is easy to reach the town centre & other points of interest. one of staff extremely rude & unhelpful
