Hôtel Mercure Bordeaux Château Chartrons

The breakfast is fantastic, with great gluten and dairy free provision, and brilliant the kids ate free.

Main complaint was that, despite staff appearing to wipe them, tables in the breakfast area were all sticky....yuck! Breakfast menu options were also rather limited, considering the price, as were the choice of draft beers in the bar.

Dirty and outdated rooms. Rooms smelt of damp. Expensive breakfast (€19.50 pp daily) that had hardly any options, was always out of bacon, mostly self service for fried and boiled eggs.

Horrible location, practically almost ruined the vacation. Do not stay here if your intention is to enjoy Bordeaux. It's a 30-minute walk from the center of the city.
