Pros: Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, great location.

Cons: It was a hassle to be dropped off with luggage. Driver was confused as to where it was soo we were too. No toilet in the bathroom off the bedroom. 4 story walk up with no elevator with 5 large suitcases sucked

Pros: Breakfast was good we were given a variety of bakery, cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit was provided. 20euros per person. The view from the room was brilliant and very good location!

Cons: The bathroom on the top floor (next to the double bed). It was difficult to keep the floor dry as the water would splash out of the tub.

Pros: Our flight was delayed and we arrived late at night, so unfortunately didn't have the chance to spend much time at the hotel. The night porter made a real effort to welcome us and arranged excellent room service. Everything about the property and room was great. Reception advised us very well regarding restaurants and made bookings.

Cons: I was informed immediately after making the (non-refundable) booking that the restaurant was closed for a private function on the night of our stay. Given that the restaurant will be an important factor in many guests' decisions to stay in the hotel, I recommend checking before you book. To be fair the manager did suggest alternative restaurants.

Pros: Everything about it was amazing. Despite being in the city it still managed to capture the feel of a country chateau. Staff were wonderful in all respects. Would love to return.

Pros: The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with lovely garden views. An extremely large bathroom with separate shower and toilet facilities was most enjoyable. Toiletries provided were thoughtful and generous as well as the little touches of welcome macarons and departure lemon cake with drinks for our road trip was all YUM! The staff were exceptionally helpful, considerate and professional. Dinner at the Michelin Star restaurant was phenomenal. I would recommend the hotel highly for a wonderful experience and memorable stay.

Cons: I cannot imagine what guests could possibly not like about the Hotel. It is truly an exceptional establishment with an amazing compliment of staff.

Pros: The room was spacious, had a small kitchen area with a decent coffee machine. Good bottled water was provided every day. The sitting room and bedroom were separate with a small TV in each. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large with a nice walk in shower.

Cons: The smell as you walked in the front door was horrible, just like a sewer, but the room smelled fine, otherwise we would have left. The breakfast for 22 Euros each is a complete waste of money. We tried it on the first morning but for the next four days we ate out or bought a sandwich to eat the next morning.

Pros: Everything about the process was amazing! The front desk staff spoke excellent English and was very helpful. The room was beautiful, the bed was very very comfortable With excellent linens.

Pros: The location opposite the main square and cathedral was ideal and only a 20 minute walk to the centre. local bistro's within easy walking distance and excellent food and wine choices. The wine menu at the hotel was extensive and the breakfasts in the room were simply wonderful.

Cons: When customers order a taxi, BMW Limousines are not required. I paid 3 times as much as the airport taxi. This needs to be addressed. Just because the hotel is expensive it does not mean guests require Black Cab/Limo services. Not for a 20 minute / 20 Euro cab ride.

Pros: This is a charming and well appointed small hotel. Wonderful staff recommended restaurants that were perfect. The room was lovely! I had my own private porch/garden with a dining table and lounge chair. Nespresso machine. Modern!

Pros: One of the most unique hotels we’ve had the pleasure to visit. An old maison that has been totally renovated with high end amenities. Exquisite decor and art throughout. Air conditioning worked well in hot weather. Staff extremely accommodating; able to park our minivan on site. Breakfast was fresh and individually prepared. On our second visit we were upgraded to a wonderful suite. Highly recommend this establishment.

Pros: We travelled here for our honeymoon and were so glad we chose the Yndo Hotel ! A quaint hotel coupled with the warmest staff , comfortable yet beautifully decorated rooms and luxurious room amenities redefined luxe living for us. It will forever remain a favourite on this trip.

Pros: A stunning find in Bordeaux! Hotel Yndo is an outstanding Place. In our humble ( but experienced based) opinion it is one of the very best hotels in Bordeaux . Everything is perfect from start to finish. Excellent welcome by everyone at the reception. All staff are fully committed, and will go out of their way to help you out and make your time at the hotel unforgettable . They upgraded our room with kindness, and generosity . They are highly professional and again attentive to your needs. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. This is extremely rare to find that. Fine lunch , and an appreciation of excellent products is an experience in itself but when you are staying in a beautiful place such as Hotel Yndo , you really appreciate how wonderful the whole experience is . Breakfast will need a full review to itself to do it full service. Just to say, it is superb. Each room is decorated to a high standard and attention to details is present throughout. The cleaning is meticulous . Thank you to everyone one for your looking after us. We will definitely be returning and recommending this exceptional hotel in Bordeaux to all our family and friends. Pros: The room was lovely, and very large. The decor was done like a boutique hotel and was very eclectic. The neighbourhood was very safe and many locals were out in the bars at night and not tourists which we liked. We knew this was a room only in a building so we were not expecting any facilities as such, but it was good to have a fridge with juice, water, biscuits and cakes available. We loved the Pan Am trolley in our room, which was called Sanchez. We also had 3 large windows with balconies and black out blinds. There was a boulangerie downstairs also and a few cafes close by for breakfast.

Pros: The location in Chartrons is fantastic for visiting Bordeaux. It is around the corner from the Garonne river and a short walk from the centre of Bordeaux. The bakery next door is also fantastic. Our room, Salmide, was amazing. It had everything we needed, the bed was extremely comfortable and the surprise view of the cathedral was fantastic. The host was very friendly and the communication was excellent throughout.

Pros: The room and lounge areas were all great, but probably the best part of the stay was interacting with the staff. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good overall with a great degree of variety (although the hot food items could have been a little better). The fresh-pressed orange juice was a nice touch.

Cons: The toilet in our suite was tiny (difficult to close the door) for such a spacious suite and the bathroon was big but had a very cold atmosphere.

Pros: Amazing professional friendly staff who spoke very good English. From the moment we arrived they unloaded the car, valet parked it (great there was space reserved right outside the hotel to park up), explained the local area including where the tourist office was to buy the city pass and the two squares where good restaurants were. The room size as very big especially for France with luxury shower room and separate toilet. Extremely coffee bed with fridge and new nespresso machine. On the first night it was great to relax in their patio bar after a long drive from La Rochelle.

Cons: Not the hotels fault but slightly difficult to get to in Bordeaux one way systems with diversions in place, and a little further out from the river front BUT the hotel is so amazing well worth it

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but we were not told that this is a training facility for hospitality students. With that in mind you might expect higher than average service? No, just swarms of students in front of the building and rushing down hallways to make classes, posters on walls and doors re: curriculum and advertising careers. Although the staff at reception were polite and accommodating, It was an unexpected experience.

Cons: The hotel is not in a pretty part of the town. Next time we will opt for closer to the Villiage center, within walking distance to the better restaurants, the fountains and markets.

Pros: Wonderful friendly staff and great location. Walking or using the tram into the city was easy and enjoyable. Good cafes around the hotel and not too far to town for numerous restaurants and life, and sightseeing.

Cons: Next door is some sort of sewerage and so you can get whiffs quite regularly when outside the hotel.

Pros: A lovely hotel, close to the Cite Du Vin and the river walk / Bacalan area of Bordeaux. The hotel is aligned with the local teaching college for the hospitality industry. As a consequence, the front of house staff and people we dealt with were young, from different countries and very enthusiastic. Just delightful and very hospitable. The room was very comfortable. A lovely bathroom, with generous proportions. A comfortable bed. Very well priced. We visited in August, so a lot of local restaurants were closed. The front of house staff gave us a very good recommendation, for a local restaurant, that was open, near by.

Pros: quay area with shops and restaurants across the road and lovely walk along river into main part of town and short walk along river to Cite du Vin. as it's part of the hotel school majority of the staff are young, helpful and enthusiastic. The Bordeaux breakfast of baguette with cheeses, hams and jams is great.

Pros: The breakfast was very good and the presentation was beautiful. The location was perfect as we were taking a Viking cruise and we were able to just walk across the street to meet our ship. The staff was very friendly. Our experience could not have been better!

Pros: The hotel was in good location and the room was modern and spacious with good aircon. The breakfast ordering system made breakfast in your room as a standard offer, which was nice treat.

I’m fairness we didn’t report it as we only stayed a couple of days. Also no cloth or washing up liquid etc or basic things for a short term apartment for holiday makers and quilt on bed would be great if you were in Sweden in December.

Also having a supermarket just a few steps away for your meals/wine was a bonus. Did not have breakfast or eat at local restaurants so cannot comment. Stroll to Cite de Vin and along river. Excellent location! Small table and chair folded up in the closet.

Pros: Modern, clean, comfortable, with a kitchenette with cleaning supplies, and a. Monoprix supermarket literally next door. A 15 minute walk along the river to the city centre, across from the Quai des Marques outdoor shopping mall, and a 5 minute walk to the Cité du Vin and Halles de Bacalan (great food).

Cons: It may be a plus for some, but the soft pillowtop mattress and the huge pillows are terrible for my back.

There relaxing beds for a snooze afterwards and a tea room all within the complex

Cons: Whilst the roof terrace was a romantic and lovely place to spend a few of the late hours viewing the city from 6 floors up the drinks cost are exorbitant (3 soft drinks, 1 coffee, 1 Calvados & 1 cocktail was £75.00)

Pros: There was a wide choice of food for breakfast which was tasty and plenty to eat. The location was brilliant as it was only a few mins walk from tourist spots. It was also quiet both inside and out as it was located in a small street. The staff were very helpful and spoke English! The shower was brilliant too.

Pros: Well above expectations all the way around but the breakfast was spectacular! Never seen an included breakfast so lavish!! Breakfast was not only delicious but plentiful with every food group represented in abondance. Decor was adorable, cozy, and tasteful. What a pleasant surprise!

Cons: The bedroom was a little disappointing as the decor looked as if it was trying to be modern but which already looked tired. Our bathroom smelt of pee when we got there and required a second round of cleaning. Even though it was much better after the cleaners had been again, there was still a faint smell. Thankfully we were only there for one night. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing as the coffee was awful, oranges were not fresh, first batch of croissants were too dry, and no warm options. However, there was plenty of choice.

Pros: The location of the hotel is great,close to shopping, Breakfast was lovely and had many selections to pick from. The rooms were contemporary and clean and big enough.

Cons: Although the location of this property is wonderful, there is NO place to put your car to empty luggage. The streets do not allow to park any where to unload. We did so illegally! The lot for parking is 5 blocks away and if you have a bit of baggage you will have to wait in this lot for the 1 elevator to stop on your floor hoping there is no one else on the elevator so you can get in. It took forever for our entire party to go to the main level(street). They were 5 levels down. There is no valet at the property. That was also a negative! This hotel was super busy and there was 1 young girl to handle it all. Frustrating for her and us as well. The air conditioning works on a key card. Fabulous for savings electric, but not so great to cool down a sunny room. I recommend the hotel if you travel light and not during hot weather!

Pros: This is an excellent hotel and in a great place for walking around Bordeaux. The staff are extremely friendly and speak good English. The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. The bar serves a very good gin and tonic!

Cons: Not easy to park outside - there is a car park nearby which you will be directed to anyway so suggest you park first and then walk to the hotel.

Pros: Great hotel in an ideal location. Johan at reception was particularly helpful. He organised a wine trip for us.

Pros: Reception staff were amazing. Very hospitable, Uber friendly and helpful. Good tips for where to visit whilst in Bordeaux ranging from restaurants to cool neighbourhoods to activities. We had an amazing time in Bordeaux.

Cons: The hotel was very expensive and for the price I would have expected better size room and better coffee making facilities.

Pros: Great location in central Bordeaux easy to get to from the train station. The bunk rooms each bed has its own blind and plug and light which is great and lots of toilets and showers available

Cons: The floor smelt terrible like urine even though the bathroom seemed clean. No kitchen facilities not even access to a refrigerator.

Cons: The wifi didn't work. There was no apology, no timeline of if or when it might work. The breakfast is €9! It was a continental breakfast with cheap cereal, ham and cheese. Ridiculous.

Pros: The hostel itself has a very good ambiance. The beds are really comfortable and had personal shutters for every bed giving you a lot of privacy . The hostel itself is located on a very central street . Would highly recommend .

Pros: The location is great, super Central and in a nice area. The beds are well built and have individual curtains so they feel super private despite being bunkbeds and despite being on top of a bar there was no noise even on a Friday night.

Cons: The bathrooms weren't very clean, the toilets didn't have toilet paper and in general they needed to clean way more often.

Pros: Very convenient location. Staff very pleasant. Bed very comfortable. Feels lovely walking out into the Place de St Projet in the morning. Bar area well laid out for meeting new people. Third floor seemed quiet at night. Nice mixture of guests. The bed linen was clean and in good condition. Attractive walk to the airport bus.

Cons: Very limited places to hang clothes/towels in the room or to wash/dry clothes. The woodwork at the bed head was a bit dusty (before I cleaned it).

Pros: It was a great little place, especially thankful for allowing a very weary person to clean up and chill out before check in. It was a long journey!

Cons: I thought the food options for brunch and later on were really poor. There needs to be more option. Appreciated the lighter breakfast, that was perfect, but the idea of a £22 brunch is a bit bizarre for a hostel.

Pros: I loved the design of the room and the amount of space available at the room. Baby bed was ready after requesting also spare towels for the baby, great service! My kids loved it.

Cons: Even though breakfast was included in the price, the hotel do not prepare breakfast picnic bags for the early leavers. That would be a great improvement for the establishment. Also the booking webpage says booking a spot in the parking is not possible/necessary but in reality you need to do that in advance. I finally parked outside.

Pros: I liked everything, the beautiful room, the elegant bath, the staff, the breakfast, the parking, and the availability of city transportation right in front of the door..

Pros: I was worried initially about the location being "far" from the city center by foot, but I loved the location. Many eating options. A cute neighborhood near there. The Hangars right there. It was great, and the tram is right at the hotel and just a couple of stations from the city center, which is quite crowded.

Cons: I really liked everything. The breakfast was particularly good.

Pros: The hotel has a homely feel, situated in a quaint alley. Our suite was spacious with a very large double bed. The bathroom was well equipped and roomy and it was nice to have a separate lounge to sit and read. The location was excellent. The breakfast was enjoyable.

Pros: The suite we had was absolutely sensational. Had two double bedrooms, conservatory, sitting room, office area and 6mx3m v.high spec bathroom. Bordeaux is finest historical city we've visited, with many cultural and dining treats.
