Unique NW Experience
Hotel unique to the NW. Great food and drink options in a hotel experience.
Noise is a problem in an old building. When making renovations, noise cancelation needs to be a greater priority.
Originally built in 1931 as a junior high school, the Anderson School has been completely transformed into a unique one-of-a-kind getaway for people who want something more than the typical hotel. The property features various buildings spread across five acres, located just 13 miles north of Seattle. Mcmenamins Anderson School features art-deco designs with modern conveniences, including three restaurants, three bars, and a movie theater onsite. The classrooms have been turned into stylish hotel rooms and suites. Guests can grab a drink in the Principal’s Office or enjoy dining at the Tavern on the Square, which is surrounded by a beautiful garden and courtyard area.
This destination was designed with fun in mind, turning everything you know about school upside down. There is live music, swimming, arcade games, shopping, private event spaces, and all kinds of entertainment for adults and kids of all ages. North Shore Lagoon is a full-size saltwater pool that is heated to 88-90 degrees for the ultimate comfort, and is open to the public as well as guests of the hotel. Pet-friendly accommodations are available at this destination hotel.
While staying in Bothell, there are plenty of nearby attractions and activities worth checking out. Guests can visit local malls and shopping in Seattle, along with museums, arenas and sports venues, and more. The Museum of Pop Culture, Space Needle, and Pike Place Market are the most popular, but there is plenty to see and do in the city. There are also plenty of outdoor activities, including hiking trails, fishing, and boating.
