The team is very pleasant and the kitchen is clean. The hostel offers a discount for the coffee (I recommend the coxinha de jaca, made from jackfruit) and it's good. The design is pretty cool.
My only disappointment was related to soundproofing. You could clearly hear what people are saying in other rooms or in the corridor. The walls contains some holes between the floorboard on the walls, which does not help. Pray for having quiet neighbours. You don't have a safe place to store a suitcase if you worry about getting stolen.
The cafe downstairs was nice.
The hostel had the ambience of a detention center.
The location and staff
They said that was soundproof but wasn't. My first night I stayed in a bed next to the door and I could hear everything outside the room.
It is located in a good place.
The neighborhood make too much noise at night.
I felt myself as in my own place.
