Pros: "I loved that even during a pandemic, alcohol in glassware and full meals were served in business class (unlike other airlines, so I avoided them). The lighting looked nice, the crew was professional and attentive, and the bathroom was well maintained. The blanket and pillow were comfy as well. I like the 1-2-1 layout in business class, which leaves window seats with a lot of windows and privacy."

Check in person played on her phone and didn’t even look at you when asking what seat was I assigned . Going from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale the check in person was so rude there where 5 people askI’m her what’s her problem . The crew the flight was excellent but the Atlanta check in desk really dropped the ball 2 times . If I was the manger I would fire the whole staff and If I was above the manager I would fire them as well as I’m. Sure this is not an isolated occasion."

The first leg of the trip, flying from ft Lauderdale to atlanta was ok except for the pilot having to circle around bc he was too close to the airplane in front to land. My husband and I arrived at the gate about 10 minutes before only to be told that the door was locked. Needless to say, we weren't the only ones. When we got up to the desk, the attendant was extremely rude. I was having a conversation with my husband about a dog that had just passed us . She immediately made her way into the conversation asking me what i was saying. I told her I was talking to my husband about the dog and under her breath said : " I'm sure you were." I then told her that i was more than sure about what I was talking about. We get booked on another flight and my seat was the only one without a working monitor. We asked the suitardess to see o If there was anything that could be done They tried to reset it to no avail. Since we didn't say anything else, it was forgotten about. My husband shared his screen with me so that I wasn't totally bored on the flight. Not the way I wanted to start off my birthday but I'm glad that nightmare is over Delta really needs to retrain their employees on customer service bc it leaves a lot to be desired!"

As people seem to be so self-centered anymore, the attendants should have announced that people were not to leave until all passengers with connecting flights had left the plane. Very sad that people can't use common courtesy all by themselves, but as they can't, it should have been enforced by the team on the plane."

The kioks were not operational. My husband was flying in from Tucson on American Airlines and his flight was delayed. He was to join us on our international flight home. I tried to alert the staff well in advance that he would be arriving late but would be there in time to actually get on the flight. The staff was not helpful with this matter at all. They did nothing to accomodate these special circumstances that were beyond our control. Even finding a staff member that was available for me to talk to was a challenge. My husband’s flight arrived at the airport an hour before takeoff but nothing was done to try to get him on our flight home even though I had explained the problem 2 hours before that. As a result, he was not able to travel home with us on Copa and had to buy a ticket home on JetBlue. We will not choose Copa again."

Cons: "I went through security at Lima Peru (Jorge Chavez International), everything was fine. I arrived to Panama, and the gate was next door which is just great awesome. The bad part was that I had to go through a security check once again there, although I had not left the airport since I left Lima. I went through the exercise, I was told that there would be no liquids (8 oz bottle of water, soda, etc) allowed passed that check point. Yet they were selling these items next to the gate. It made no sense why this checkpoint and why the liquid restrictions. Once in the area if I wanted to go use the restroom or whatever I needed to go through the checkpoint. There were 6 Copa employees manning this station, that's extra expense that the company passes on to the flyer for a step that should be evaluated and look at to see why other airlines do not do this. I was not the only one getting frustrated with this setup, but also passengers that did not speak Spanish they could not communicate with Copa employees. I saw this liquid restriction with Spirit Airlines in Lima, and I decided not to fly with them any more, no matter how inexpensive their fares were. Spirit told us that it was US law that made them have people throw away their drinks, although they were bought in a secured area. To me this was just a way to charge for drinks on the plane. I never had to throw away my drink if I had bought it in a secured area."

Recently I have been flying economy and from the moment checking in to leaving the plane is a terrible experience. I have had on numerous occasions when checking in at the airport that I was lied to regarding the seat I was in. Or there was more than one person with the same seat. Food and the wine is awful. I would not even eat it if I was starving. When flying the overnight/ morning flight they leave the cabin lights on pretty much the entire way, their excuse is that they need to serve dinner, but who serves dinner at 0500 in the morning anyways. My last flight I asked if I could borrow a pen, and they told me they do not give out pens to customers. I will never fly LAN again except for business class. On American Airlines they are a lot more friendlier. Also a shame that they do not have a way of recognising the people that fly with them frequently, I have flown with LAN 10 times in the last 12 months. They have a bad attitude."
