Great location on the front. A decent powerful shower in the en-suite plus toiletries provided. Breakfast is a buffet but a good selection of hot and cold choices and plenty of it, the staff at breakfast were very cheery and very helpful
Wow the room was small and cramped, very little space so it was good that we didn't plan on spending much time in it. The bed was comfy but very small for a double (a perennial problem in UK hotels). Parking was expensive at £27 a day. We parked in the Lanes car park dead opposite and paid £32 for two days
breakfast was fine no issues, staff were very, very friendly
bathrooms are old and need attention , the corridors look like something out of the 60's!
The staff were helpful and professional. We left our bags with them before check in and after check out. The location was very central. Parking was easy and a fair price. The wardroom restaurant in the hotel had well cooked food with generous portions.
The decoration of the room was tired. The shower was a little too weak but was hot.. The noise from outside late night drunk party goers woke me. Luckily the hotel very thoughtfully provided earplugs.
Location close to all amenities
Noise from the street and internal corridors was loud and went on till 5 in the morning Was not told about or offered a table for dinner and £7.50 tray charge is too much.
Our room was very tired chipped paint , stained carpets and discoloured towels.
