Pros: Private beach right outside, beautiful view, the host were extremely nice and made us feel welcomed. Very safe.clean healthy breakfast.
Cons: I don't think there was anything I didn't like about this B&B
Situated by the ocean, Arky's B&B is a great choice for a stay in Smith River. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and full breakfast available daily. A terrace and a garden are offered, and in-room conveniences include washers/dryers and sofa beds.
Try your luck at the casino when you stay at Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel – Howonquet Lodge in Smith River. The indoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at House of Howonquet, which serves American cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a fitness center are other highlights, and rooms offer up nice touches like iPod docks and MP3 docks.
Pros: The Spindrift is a short walk from the beach and offers nice sunset views.
Cons: This is an old, shabby motel, badly in need of upgrading. The bedside lamps didn't work and there was no AC, a big problem on a hot summer day. The clerk was surly.
Pros: Michael...what can I say? As the owner/manager he is a delight to be around. Full of local knowledge and suggestions. ( like where to dine, see the best sunsets, local attractions, etc. ). I would highly recommend the Spindrift for a clean quiet stay.
Pros: Very nice room, comfy bed, nice view. Would stay here again.
Cons: Would ask for a room on the lower end.
Pros: The owner was very pleasant. Motel was older but most importantly the room still felt clean. The room was good for the price we paid.
Pros: The price was about $40 cheaper than any other hotel in town. They have a room for people traveling with animals. Parking is right in front of room. We made it out alive and it was pretty peaceful.
Cons: Reminded us of the movie 'Vacancy'. Seemed like it was a decent motel many years ago but has since been ran down and not repaired properly. Beds not comfy.
Cons: The carpet was dirty, beds were not clean. The outlet sparked and fried the curling iron.. There were 2-3 outlets that didn't work.. They wouldn't give our money back to go somewhere else.. Ridiculous!!
Pros: Stayed for one night. Price was great, room was clean. Could have used more pillows, but no biggie. Was just what we needed, and the free breakfast was tasty. Also staff was great.
Cons: Thin Towels like Motel 6, no microwave, needs to be leaned especially the carpets.
Pros: The only part my husband and I liked was the close drive to the beach.
Cons: The room was very dated. Flies everywhere. We were also surrounded by people wandering outside of our room smoking but had to leave windows open due to lack of AC.
Pros: We were treated very well by the person checking us in. Our initial room assigned was awful and we were quickly accommodated when we asked for another room.
Cons: The first room had no refrigerator ( my sister's next to us) did have a refrigerator. There was only one small trash can in the room. The TV did not work. The air conditioner did not work and the rooms were hot and stuffy. The towels were barely adequate...they need to be larger. The soap dispensers are an infection control nightmare! Please replace with individual items. The second room was better except for the towels.
Cons: bed uncomfortable, and it was noisy
Pros: The pool was a welcome comfort after being on the road.
Cons: Lack of a microwave in the room was a problem and the breakfast area was really cramped.
Pros: The price
Cons: Upon check in, we only got one room key because there was not enough for us to have two. Filthy room, toilet stopped working, shower curtain was moldy. The shower would not drain I was standing in water up to my calves. When we requested a rollaway the front desk told me the rooms with two beds will not fit a rollaway. I've worked in hotels when I was younger, and the rooms with two beds are the rooms that need rollaways, why would someone get a rollaway in a room with one bed when they could just get a room with two beds in it. Breakfast was at 8 which is way too late! The front desk is closed all night so no help if you need any. The pool was good, but the hot tub was ice cold!
Pros: Room was large
Cons: We booked for 2 nights. When we returned from a meeting, our keys didn't work. An employee came up and said that there was an issue with the booking. I showed them my booking receipt and they admitted the mistake was on their end. They did not enter the correct info in their computer. Our complaint is that we had put a do not disturb sign on the door because we had left all of our belongings in the room along with all our electronic gear and they said that they entered our room and saw our stuff.
Pros: Large room with plenty of space.
Cons: Still a work in progress. No microwave. Did not have my reservation. Hot tub was broken. Loud upstairs guests.
Cons: Ice cold water. Why we called about if they said they would send someone up and to keep it running. Ran for over twenty minutes and if became luke warm and no one over showed or called back.
Pros: Our rom was very clean. Breakfast was really nice.
Cons: Room was a bit small.
