Pros: Bed was very comfy! Location
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff. They represent the property well. Attractive outdoor patio area.
Cons: Almost no clothes storage space. I didn't particularly mind the "open" closet, but no drawer place to store clothes is ridiculous. Also, while I was willing to pay a "premium" for Hotel Grinnell's convenient location, I think the room rate is still too high. I might have opted for another location if it weren't for the fact that I was rendezvousing with friends.
Pros: The style of the room and the history of previously being a school was interesting. Liked the modern style of the rooms and bed was comfortable.
Cons: However, quite noisy from footsteps above me. Also, the room was very small.
Pros: Nice staff- great location. Room was comfortable and clean. Unique set up and decor.
Cons: Disappointed in breakfast options. A little hard to navigate building. Would have appreciated Keurig tea as well as coffee.
Pros: Staff was friendly and great
Pros: The property was in an excellent location. Anything that you wanted was within walking distance. The building has great history and the conversion from a school to a hotel makes for a very unique experience. The staff is what made the stay so nice. All of them were so friendly and nothing was an inconvenience. I would recommend Hotel Grinnell to anyone passing through. You won’t be disappointed!
Pros: I loved borrowing a bicycle and exploring this charming small town. With more time, I would go on the longer bike ride out of town!
Pros: Wonderful beds. Charming. Renovated school
Cons: Temp too cool
Pros: The location was super close to the church (we were in Grinnell for a wedding) and the reception was right there in the building.
Cons: We could NOT figure out how to turn on the shower. Bummer!! There is a distinct odor in the main hallway (I only stayed on the main level). Not sure what you can do about it but it is very noticeable. I was glad our room did not have that smell.
Pros: Good place to stay and staff was excellent.
Cons: The shower took a long time to warm up and then wasnt very hot

Pros: Easy to check in even late at night. Smiling and friendly staffs. Location and large parking area.
Cons: Price should be lower in rural area. No elevator. Gladly as we requested the room on the ground floor during check in.
Pros: Clean. Friendly, competent staff.
Pros: It was very clean, very comfortable and the staff was very nice.
Cons: I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Pros: Location and convenience
Pros: Great pool! Staff was attentive. Room was clean.
Cons: The Mrs. would've benefitted from a hair dryer in the room. Do hotels not do that anymore? It's been awhile.
Cons: Had to keep taking our cards to the front desk, several times when we returned to our room the cards did not work.
Pros: Room was nice, bed comfortable, and room was clean and all systems functioned as they should.
Cons: fly in room, dirty!
Pros: Everyone was friendly. Breakfast was outstanding.
Cons: Room had a funky smell when we first entered, but nothing bad and dissipated quickly when we lowered air temp.
Pros: I walked into a sink that looked like someone had just thrown up in and didn't finish cleaning it up. I gagged as I walked into the bathroom. The toilet had a poop stain in it and the bathroom shower was also nothing to be proud of.
Cons: The hole room was very disgusting and I am demanding a refund back. If not I will call a health inspector to look at your hotel rooms. Thank you!
Pros: The friendly staff, the pool area, and free breakfast.
Cons: You need a elevator for disabled guest.
Pros: Location and how quiet it was.
Pros: The carpet was clean on my bare feet.
Cons: Check in was slow -- she was taking an phone reservation.
Pros: Updated and clean room. Large pool.
Cons: Breakfast was average. Front desk person was not around in the morning to check out.

Pros: The breakfast was good . More hot food choices, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeabe
Pros: breakfast good. Have stayed here before.
Cons: Elevator was out of commission. Was told for a week. Was on 3rd floor
Pros: Overall, one of the better Comfort Inns, I’ve stayed at. From check in to check out.. staff are friendly & helpful, when needed. The breakfast was excellent! So much food! Got & fresh! Thank you
Pros: It was conveniently located on our route.
Cons: We were given third floor rooms in a hotel that had few guests. The best was extremely uncomfortable. The pool area was out of order and unusable. Apparently they were short staffed and cleaning and maintenance were left undone.
Pros: Great staff! Good breakfast, loved the funny fruit with the faces and jokes! Clean and comfortable room
Pros: The pool was open late which allowed my little one to burn off energy before settling in for the night. The bed was very comfy and the room was very accommodating for my family.
Cons: While we were swimming, the staff and what appeared to be family or friends of the staff kept leaving the door to the indoor pool open so that it kept getting cold inside and smelled of cigarettes due to the open door. When we mentioned this to the staff, they shrugged it off and continued on with their evening.
Pros: The breakfast was great and had a large selection of food! The location of the hotel was great and very close to other amenities. The front desk staff was very nice!
Cons: The floor in my room was very sticky and the air vent had a large amount of dust on it. The lamp and charging outlet on the nightstand was very temperamental and didn't want to work correctly. Also, the toilet didn't flush correctly. Based on appearance, the man doing housekeeping wasn't dressed very professionally for the job. He looked more like a customer off the street than an employee
Cons: A touch shabby.
Pros: Clean, easy access, friendly.
Pros: Late night front desk worker was very nice. More than happy to help despite the hotel being very busy. Breakfast staff was also very friendly.
Cons: Our toilet didn’t flush very well. We told the front desk early the next morning, they said they would have Housekeeping fix it. We thought that was odd, it should of been the Maintenance people. I asked if they didn’t get it fixed then what, they said they would move us to a different room. We came back late that night and both keys wouldn’t let us in our room. We went to the front desk and they locked us out of our room saying we didn’t have a room for that night. Our suitcases and meds were STILL in that room! I paid for 2 Nights. I Was Furious. They had a employee with a key take us to that room and sure enough our suitcases and meds were in the room, room was cleaned and toilet NOT fixed. They got us in a different room on another floor. That room was not cleaned very well. Hair on furniture, in sink, dirt on bathroom floor. Then they put a Charge on my bill for the safe/ warranty! For Both rooms, I never even got the Combination to the safe! I complained ,,and the front desk said he took it off my card but I haven’t seen it go through yet. So we will see. NEVER again will I stay at that motel.
Cons: Main room had one lamp and no overhead lighting. Every other hotel has one on each side of bed and one of desk. The bulb of the one lamp was burned out when I arrived, but the nice - and only - staff person on the premises found me a spare bulb.

Pros: Staff friendly, helpful. Good location.
Cons: No thin pillows. All huge and thick.
Pros: Great owners!
Pros: They helped me find a place for dinner. They let me use their facilities to do office work while waiting for my sister to fly in. The breakfast was spectacular but best of all they found my baby pillow and are keeping it for me until I get back.
Cons: Nothing. It was a great place.
Pros: Was closer than I thought it was to Knoxville
Cons: Toilet set was loose and almost off, it sat way to low to the ground. Terrible if you are a senior as far as getting into the shower as there was nothing to hold onto. It was noisy as hell, doors slamming at 6am!Didn't make our room one day....
Pros: Very accommodating. The room they first gave us had an overwhelming smell of smoke. It's a non smoking facility. I requested another room and the immediately moved us.
Cons: Just the first room provide smelled of smoke. We are moved and the next room was fine.

Cons: Bfast could use an upgrade. Pretty basic...

Pros: Sheets and comforter were nice and soft.
Cons: There was mold in the ceiling in the bathroom and the wallpaper was peeling.
Cons: The room I booked online was not the room shown in the pictures AT ALL. It only had a small shower and tiny tv, the pictures had a nice big bath tub. They "upgraded" us to a room with a bathtub for $15 more/night. I would have chosen a different hotel had I known it was false advertising and we would be paying more.
Pros: great location
Pros: Cheap and clean.
Pros: The clean room and a fantastic staff makes staying here a pleasure.
Cons: Breakfast. More options for diabetics would have been better. Both offered cereals were very sweet.
Cons: No place to hang your cloths
Pros: Breakfast was adequite
Cons: There was no table for us to use in our room and no where to hang our clothes.
Pros: We really liked the jacuzzi tub in the suite we had it was very relaxing. The staff was friendly. That's about all I got for good things.
Cons: It was advised to have a pool but it was closed and full of storage stuff not very appealing. Breakfast was pitiful not very much to offer and not very good. Not very many plug ins in the suite 306 hard to find one to plug stuff in too. There was wires hanging from the ceiling. Holes in the walls.
Pros: Everything is absolutely amazing.
Pros: close to relatives - easy to find
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: Bad advertising hot tub did not work was closed
Cons: The staff was extremely rude. The dead bolt didn't work on our room, which we realized after unpacking then the front desk acted annoyed and argued with me about it not working before switching our rooms to another floor. The indoor pool was freezing. The hot tub was covered with boards and lounge chairs. The bed spreads had burn holes and stains. The clothes hanging rack and shelf were broken.

Pros: Breakfast good after desk clerk showed how to work the $0.25 bargain basement reject toaster. One with knobs would have worked much better. Selections ample. frozen butter very hard to spread. first one warmed in microwave leaked on turntable.
Cons: Overall appearance showing effects of age. I.E. Parking lot cracks and uneven slabs somewhat hazardous, lack of grab bars in shower/tub, defective clock,
Pros: Special arrangement for those who come to Grinnell to attend graduation ceremony.
Pros: No eggs
Cons: Room smelled of mold, shower shot water into the ceiling tile
Cons: The pool is out of order and was told that it has been for 3 months. The front lobby smells like pee. The sink faucet sprayed water all over when you turned it on. There was a air leak by the window so it bowled all night long. Would not stay there again
Cons: The matress in our room stunk In need of replacement. You sat on edge and sank into the middle of it.Now try getting out of it....Just "STUNK"!
Pros: Quick check in and out. Lots of parking.
Cons: Not worth the value paided. Paper thin walls. Smells of smoke and mold. Breakfest was a joke. People smoking everywhere. Doors don't close.
Pros: We checked in late at night around 11pm. TV did not work. The corner floor lamp wouldn't turn on because the plug and cord was cut off. We paid $100 for this poor room. Sad
Pros: Only thing I liked is that it was close to the event.
Cons: The bed sucked I might as well as slept on the floor. The breakfast was pretty much nonexistent.Had to get the guy out of the back room to tell him that we was out of coffee at 7:30 a.m.
Pros: We were here for a swim meet so I wasn’t really expecting much but it was a good stay. It’s a good value for what you get. The beds were comfortable.
Cons: The bedspread was very dirty looking so I had to remove those as fast as I could.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and made you feel like you were at home
Cons: Needs a better continental breakfast
Pros: It was very clean and the room was very nice.
Cons: The price was high for a 2 1/2 star hotel
Pros: Not much
Cons: I booked a room with a king size bed- I did not get that- I was not able to sleep during my stay. We changed rooms due to moldy and wet furniture.
