9.3 Excellent (361 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hilltop Inn & Suites, you'll be centrally located in Broomfield, within a 5-minute drive of 1stBank Center and Butterfly Pavilion. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very unique, hidden gem!
Cons: Beds definitely need to be upgraded, very uncomfortable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We liked the friendly welcome and the breakfast in the morning. Once you got your toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt and coffee, a very friendly voice came from the kitchen: what would you like for breakfast? eggs with bacon or sausage? pancakes? Once we put in our order the freshly cooked food was brought to our table. We also liked the location, where I could take good morning walks just down the road from the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, prepared to personal taste and needs (my wife has dietary restrictions). We booked Hilltop solely on need for a location close to a rental car office in Broomfield... what a pleasant surprise we found! This place is a gem! Upon check-in, we were accompanied to our room, shown all of the features. We crossed the courtyard to the Burns restaurant/pub, enjoyed some excellent live music and great food/atmosphere. Unexpected excellent experience and a lot of fun.
Cons: There was a lone bug in the bathroom, middle of the night, which I dispatched. Otherwise, the experience was faultless. I hate to even mention it, but wanted to do an honest review - I do not think it's a frequent occurrence, the whole place is so well-kept.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near Denver, but far enough away to be quiet and lovely scenery. Great Pub on the property with excellent food and drinks.
Cons: A bit dated but I’m okay with that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Hilltop Inn feels more like a family run inn than a hotel. From the time you enter the property, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. I stayed in a king room and the room had plenty of space. The bed and pillows were soft (a little too soft for my comfort). The associated restaurant and pub are amazing. The day I arrived, they were exceptionally busy and the staff were still extremely friendly and not in a rushed manner, either. Also, the menu was tasty; I will be making a trip back there just to try other menu options.
Cons: There isn't enough paved parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect breakfast; cosy bar next doors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything from the second we got there. Super friendly staff and we had the cutest room. The pub that is located there has incredible food as well. Overall great place to stay. We will be back!
Cons: Literally nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the feel that we were in a remote countryside inn after driving through chaos traffic. The room was huge, clean, great temperature, and had all amenities. Loved the attached restaurant/pub (excellent food) and the included breakfast made to order was awesome!!!!
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredibly friendly. Rooms were a little dated but comfortable. Breakfast was nice.
Cons: We had a first floor room and the person above us sounded like he/she was running foot races at 5 in the morning. Other than that, everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet Location .. rural setting Staff ..friendly and helpful Great choice of breakfast foods
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. The room was huge and we had a Mountain View. We enjoyed our evening at the pub with the whiskey ambassador describing all the different whiskeys available. The food was delicious in the British pub atmosphere.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We were taken by the cute English decor and laid back atmosphere of Hill Top Inn and Suites. The staff is friendly and we just love Miss Jocelyn. The complementary breakfast was made to order. We recommend visiting the Burns Pub on site.

Cons: I think updating the carpeting would enhance the overall appearance!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The front desk was very efficient and friendly. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and liked the shower. Good location and excellent breakfast.
Cons: Didn’t know about evening food and beverages until we checked in and unfortunately we had plans both evenings and couldn’t attend. Bathroom needs one more dispenser of body lotion on the wall.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was good. Right next to a shopping area with lots of stores and restaurants
Cons: Breakfast didn’t start on Saturday until 7 am. We are early risers and I would have liked it at 6. But I realize not everyone gets up as early as we do!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a friendly team. Very accommodating. Beautiful room. Great breakfast. Just to mention a few. Great experience any time we come.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Would have reused towels, but there were no towel racks or hooks to hang them on in bathroom.
4.3 Okay
Pros: When we stayed here a month ago, it was a really nice place to stay and we had a great experience. We thought we had found a good hotel choice for a return trip. We are sorely disappointed that this experience was such a poor one, after the first one was so promising. We will not be coming back to this hotel.
Cons: Two months before our stay, we had booked a room with 2 queen beds. When we arrived to check in, we were told that there were no rooms with two queen beds available. All that was available was a King bed with a pull-out sofa. The staff were less than friendly or accommodating, taking a "tough luck" attitude toward our situation and stating that the manager would not be available to amend the situation until the following morning. We asked for extra pillows for the pull-out sofa and we were given a pillow that had blood stains on the pillowcase. When we showed the pillowcase to the front desk person the following morning, we were met with the same "tough luck" apathy and were told that the manager would be in later that morning. When we asked for the manager later that day, we were told (by the same person who checked us in the night before) that he was busy on the phone dealing with another crisis and wasn't available. After some pressing, the employee went to the back to get the manager. The manager thankfully had a better attitude towards our situation, but told us that the situation could have been amended without a manager in the first place. He did apologize for the mix-up and for the poor service we experienced the night before and was able to secure a different room for us. The room we were transferred to did not have curtains on one of the windows, though, so the light from the parking lot outside made it very difficult to sleep, as it shined in directly upon one of the beds. The continental breakfast was underwhelming. The food appeared to have been left in the warming trays too long, and the juice was warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing!
Cons: Everything was great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and comfortable
Cons: Little far outside of main towns
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property seemed brand new and very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful, comfortable beds, and great free breakfast.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: nice Place
Cons: Night desk person was rude
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and professional. The view from my window was amazing to say the least. Beds were very comfortable.
Cons: The cost of a mini ice cream was 3.00 that’s very over priced. I could have went next door to DQ and got a whole chocolate sundae for that price.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast and beds were good.
Cons: Room, & clothes storage inadequate. Pathway too narrow from door to window. Desk chair, which was too hard to move on the carpet, blocks the narrow pathway. No additional comfortable chair for 2nd person - 2 hassocks of no use, since no place to put them to use. "Cutsy" barn door is inconvenient. Bathtub is too slippery & too narrow. Door too heavy & won't stay open. Malfunctioning sink stopper.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone and everything. Staff and facilities where top shelf
Cons: Some child had an accident in the pool so for sanitary reasons the pool was closed during our stay

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed and pillows were wonderful. Best pillows I ever had.
Cons: The bathroom door did not lock. Too bad the hall lights did not dim at night; way too much light came through the door edge.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: All the previous "good" reviews ring true. Having managed hotels myself, the GM must be doing something right. The staff is very friendly, the entire grounds are well kept, and the little niceities like free bottled water and coffee 24/7 is a really nice touch. Simple, but in this day and age of nickel and dime, I found it impressive.

Pros: I really liked how new this hotel felt. Everything is very modern and the rooms are ample and clean. Even though I only stayed two nights, it was a good experience. I wish I would've visited the pool but I didn't have time. The breakfast was awesome and they had many options.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the layout of our specific room. It was an accessible room on the first floor with a door that opened up to a suite next door. That was weird because I felt I could hear our neighbors.
7.0 Good
Cons: Have yet to receive my deposit for the 2 nights I stayed there

Pros: I was a little disappointed in some things, but hotel employee at the front desk was helpful and the breakfast team was really on it. It was quiet even though the hotel was booked due to a nearby show. All the amenities were great.
Cons: Booked two nights and was made to leave my room at check out time and recheck in and still did not get my room until 4. That's super unprofessional, wasteful and inconsiderate. I asked for late check out and was asked by Flo to check out early instead.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. I also really enjoyed the breakfast options.
Cons: My booking didn't go through to the hotel because of some software issue with the hotel. If I hadn't double checked with the hotel I would have shown up without a booking. This was concerning.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean bathrooms, good breakfast, new
Cons: Kids running around in the common areas unsupervised. A well dressed black man that was staying and sleeping in the lobby for several days with his suitcase and no one kicked him out.

7.5 Good
Pros: Beds were really comfy. Breakfast was interesting, and when Robin was working, everything was stocked and clean. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. Good location- near downtown Denver but not right in the middle, near a nice assortment of restaurants and stores.
Cons: The rooms weren’t cleaned 2 days in a row! When I said something to the desk, I was told, ‘it happens’. So trying to get clean towels was not fun. Like I said before, breakfast was interesting— very unique items that might not appeal to all tastes. And on the days Robin wasn’t there, things weren’t stocked and the dishes were piling up. The area was dirty too. Parking nearly always full too, so expect to walk from the back row a lot.

Pros: The location, the breakfast, the room at Hyatt house was a pleasant surprise. As my first stay at a Hyatt house, I was pleased to find a sitting area in addition to a bed and bath. The breakfast was above average for hotels that provides breakfasts. In addition to fresh cut up fruits and real oatmeal I enjoyed the personal omelets.
Cons: The coffee was weak and 'scrambled' eggs were obviously powdered eggs. Yuk. I consider these minor issues because there was enough of a selection of other breakfast items to avoid these missteps.

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: This was the worst traveling experience I’ve ever had. We get there and everything was fine except when they took my debit card they took twice the amount they were suppose to. 355$ x2 710$. And that took more money than I had expected so I filed a claim with my bank and luckily they gave me some money to get by. But THE MANAGER WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND FOR TWO HOURS. ABBY A YOUNG GIRL AT THE FRONT DESK WAS THE MOST HELPFUL. I WAS WITH HER WHEN SHE WAS TRYING TO CALL HER MANAGER KATIE FOR TWO HOURS AND WHEN SHE “CAME TO HELP” SHE GOES “I just learned about this 15 min ago” with the most snide attitude I’ve ever heard. And then to make thingns worse. They CHARGED MY CARD AGAIN FOR 350$ TWO DAYS LATER SO THEY TOOK 1,050$ FROM ME AND I HAD TO BORROW MONEY FROM MY FAMILY JUST TO GET BACK TO ARIZONA. THIS HOTEL IS TERRIBLE AND SHOULD GET NEW MANAGMENT SOON.

Pros: Great location. Comfortable beds. Friendly checkin staff. Relaxing lobby.
Cons: Parking was very far away depending on what time you got to hotel. Hallways were a bit warm. Housekeeping did not vacuum room each day.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked how close the hotel was to a bunch of different restaurants and entertainment options. We could have easily walked to 6 different restaurants, the movie theater, the butterfly pavillion.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like about our room was how soft the pillows were. They were so soft it was literally like laying your head on a cloud. had to fold each pillow in half 7 times to get some neck support.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, easy access to highways, nice court yard for walking around. good restaurant. Heavenly bed... is just that - heavenly.
Cons: Needed a mini-fridge in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location, close to all the restaurants.
Cons: No complaints!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed and pillows were wonderful
7.5 Good
Cons: Maintenance worker (plumber) needs to go. The fixtures in the bathroom were replaced incorrectly. The handle on the sink (hot water) was on backwards (literally facing the wrong way) and not working properly. The handle on the toilet was the same way. Every time you flush the toilet. The handle would stay down. You had to remember to unstick it (pull up) I find it hard to believe that no one would check or care about this. This is basic plumbing 10 min fix

6.8 Good
Pros: Good Location.
Cons: We have stayed here on several occasions, and have had a good experience. This time however the facilities and the staff seemed to be struggling to run the property. The breakfast area was not well tended, trash and debris was left in the dining area, on two of the 5 days we were there, our room was not made up till after 5PM, with not much more than a cursory walk through. We travel to the Denver area several times a year, and after this trip I'll be looking at other options for lodging.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the breakfast bar was fantastic. Very efficient and friendly. Good lighting and plenty of plug-ins to charge devices. Usually we have to search for a plug for my husband's C-Pap but there was an outlet at bed level.
Cons: Seating in the room was very uncomfortable. A small couch would have been much better than the chaise lounge chair.
7.5 Good
Pros: Its very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was nice.
Cons: They have one elevator which creates a bit longer wait. The breakfast was disappointing not a lot of choices and they had ham in the only scrambled eggs they had with no respect to whoever doesn't eat pork.

Cons: Best hotel in the area.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff extremely friendly and helpful
Cons: Considering it is a 4 star I was disappointed in the quality of room. Room 540 has a stain on bathroom ceiling and the decor is old and outdated. I have been in rooms half the price that atleast have updated USB ports and furnishings. For what I paid I had higher expectations.

Pros: The pool and activities for kids rival 5 star resorts.
Cons: We extended our stay once we learned how great the pool was going to be but every staff member we spoke to seemed like this was a huge difficulty. Then the rate was different on the second day... and this was after talking to 4 different staff members. Finally, after returning from the funeral we were in town for originally, a manager was on duty and able to check us in. Our best guess... this is when the rate increase occurred ????

Pros: It wasn't in the bad end of town.
Cons: We paid $166 for a single king size and a couchbed. We checked in and entered our non smoking room. Upon entry the foul stench of marijuana hit us in the nostrils. It was strong. Our toilet did not work, so we had to go down from the second floor to use the public restroom. We informed the desk of the situation.

Pros: Veggie pasta was awesome! The cafe staff was great!!
Cons: The lightening in the room sucks. There are women travelers that need to put makeup on without looking like Tammy Faye Baker.

Pros: Location and cleanliness
5.8 Okay
Cons: Front-desk staff person was incompetent. First round of keys didn't work, run back downstairs with luggage, makes me wait while he's on the phone. Second round of keys was for a non-balcony room (that I paid for). Instead of making another trip downstairs I asked for someone to run the new room keys up to me but after no one showing up for 15 minutes I went back downstairs (with luggage) AGAIN.
