Pros: Beautiful property on a scenic Tuscan Hill with great practical facilities. Our apartment had a kitchenette which had everything we needed as a family. All the rooms were elegantly decorated and had pretty beamed ceilings all with view of the countryside as well as an area to sit by a pool under large trees and drink their lovely house bottle of red. Virginia was incredibly welcoming and took ever effort to make our stay perfect, she and her family are excellent hosts. We had dinner one night and we sampled some delicious Tuscan delights, breakfast is also on offer and I was very happy with the sweet homemade pastries and cakes. The property also had a menagerie of animals, a jungle gym, and a trampoline which purely delighted my child. They also offer horse riding and cycling which we didn't get to as our stay was short but we would have loved to have a go. All of this added up to a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend it if anyone is travelling to Tuscany.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting among the Tuscan hills. Charming place with tasty food in their restaurant. Farm animals were fun to see. Variety of sleep choices--we chose the separate apartment not in the main building.
Cons: Although it was clean, the apartment had a musty smell typical of old stone buildings. Not sure they could do anything about it though.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The family were very welcoming the location was fantastic and had beautiful views and the ground floor apartment, which was a free upgrade was rustically decorated and surrounded by gardens which was great for the dog to explore. The food and drink was lovely, home cooked, local and reasonably priced. A very enjoyable stay...
Cons: The weather ! ...but then that's life...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was absolutely beautiful and cozy! It was exactly what we were imagining a Tuscan retreat would be like, but even better! The location is set up on a hill overlooking valleys of beautiful vineyards and olive trees.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent, better than recommended restaurants in Buonconvento and surrounding towns. We ate here on 4 out of 4 evenings. My sister and I could enjoy our wine without needing to drive. The view from the restaurant, especially the tables nearest the garden, were wonderful, especially at sunset. The food and drinks bill at the end of our stay was very reasonable. Given that the restaurant was fully booked each evening, the wine and food prices were very fair. We stayed in the centre with the restaurant and swimming pool. This was very convenient and suited our needs very well. However, we visited the other centre and liked the grass areas for sunbathing. The views from both centres are simply stunning. Our visit to the iconic olive tree was memorable. Staff were helpful, especially Danielle who was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She was happy in her work and obviously loved Tuscany and Pieve a Salti.
Cons: I can see that it could be inconvenient for families if they were housed in the house 1 km away..... people would need to be aware of the distance prior to booking
6.3 Good
Pros: Great area just few kilometers from the city with a lot of green places. Good quality breakfast which you can have outside.
Cons: I wouldn't recommend it for couples, too noisy, rather for families. We got the room just near the main path so it was rather loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location with stunning views. Lovely staff, fabulous food. The bike room was a bonus! Will definitely return!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Farm, the playground, the facilities, the room. When we arrived we were given a nice room but was a bit humid and smelly, we asked to change it and they did with no delay. If in the area again for sure we will be back at Pieve a Salti.
Cons: We didn’t like the fact the big pool is in the other building at 1 km distance. We know since the booking but we thought wasn’t a problem but in fact with kids it is.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and scenery in the tuscan countryside.the pool facility was very nice.
Cons: Extra unavoidable cost for a taxi from the village to the property affects the overall budget of the stay. Rooms should be supplied with a water boiler to be able to make a hot drink while there are no option for that in the facility in the evening.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice property, very good breakfast you can eat outside. Nice room, especially if you are on ground floor. I would stay here again.
Cons: One watch out, what was not very clear from description on booking: outdoor swimming pool is located 1,6 km away from where you sleep and have breakfast, so you need to pack your staff and get there by car. Thats a bit annoying when you find out at arrival.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staffs are all friendly, especially the girl at reception, she is really helpful and always makes you feel welcome. The dinner is really delicious and worth the money. The environment is comfortable and relax. Even I didn't have a car and it was raining when I stayed , I still have a good time there.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and ambience and friendly and helpful staff. Got a table in the restaurant earlier than planned. Meal in restaurant was OK, wild boar portion very modest, steak somewhat undercooked..
Cons: Room facilities basic, no chance of tea or coffee in room. Drainage smell in bathroom. Useless Nespresso machine at breakfast buffet - again cereals, pastries and a few hard boiled eggs, cheese and processed ham.
7.5 Good
Pros: great views. Good breakfasts. Lovely truffles at the restaurant. Food was good, though the pay-in-advance dinners were less interesting.
Cons: The distance between various facilities was so great we were unable to use much of it. We had explained that I was mobility impaired and the room was changed accordingly on arrival. But the "onsite" restaurant was a long walk -- twenty minutes or so? -- from the main building; there was no transportation unless arranged in the morning; I was not the only guest who could not FIND the restaurant; and I never found the heated pool. Perhaps an excellent choice for vigorous bikers or equestrians.

Pros: Lovely, clean room in the middle of this little town. So welcoming and helpful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Guest House And Host in a great location
6.3 Good
Pros: Location, spacious room.
Cons: After walking over 30 km (Via Francigena), our luggage already arrived. However I had to take it to our room myself (2 stairs). Once in our room, the host was complaining about previous guests that apparently left two stains on the wall. I think it’s inappropriate to complain about guests to other guests. Later we asked for an extra sheet, because in this time of year a blanket is too much, but a single sheet is too cold. The host refused to give us an extra sheet, unless we would pay for an extra bed. Both my friend and I had NEVER experienced a reaction like this before. We got the feeling this host doesn’t really like to have guests in her house us and only cares about their money. We really don’t understand previous reviews regarding the hospitality of the host. We certainly didn’t feel very welcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lovely owner Manuele, is the warmest & most welcoming person you could wish for...& with a wicked sense of humour (make sure you leave the keys where instructed or she will hunt you down...
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room is big, with welcoming tea, chocolate & water. Very sweet. It even equipped with fridge that you can keep beverages cool in summer. Bed is cozy & blanket is warm, shower water is hot with high quality towel. Wifi is fast. This place is like Buonconvento, give you happy & lucky feeling. Owner is very helpful to allow me earlier checkin. Very thankful!!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Big apartment space. Quiet, clean and in center of town.
Cons: Steps, bathroom steps from kitchen area and many steps from building entrance. Some cooking items missing in kitchen, such as good cooking knife and cutting board. Directions needed to explain propane cylinder stove.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: This is a very pleasant, quiet, airy apartment in an old building in the centre of Buonconvento, very convenient for public transport, cafes, restaurants, shops and so on. I have just a few reservations. The bathroom is very small and the shower apt to leak a bit - it's fine for one person but would be a bit awkward for more, unless they are on very intimate terms. The cooking facilities are basic but adequate. There are about 40 quite steep steps up to the apartment so you need to be able to get your luggage up and down them.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very attractive b&b and we appreciated the good coffee offered to guests. Prior to arrival, I appreciated the co-operation of Virginia confirming I had prepaid the room, which was omitted on my reservation confirmation - and which I did not request.
Cons: The following criticism is of Booking.com, NOT the hotel. I reserved several hotels on consecutive dates, requesting at the time of each reservation to pay the hotel directly on arrival. Despite this, on each occasion Booking.com debited my card at the time of reservation (months ahead of my arrival). On arrival at each hotel, I had to insist payment had been made as this wasn’t clear to the hotels. In the case of this particular venue, the reservation was not even noted as paid on the confirmation despite the immediate debit on my account. I have always requested payment at the hotel, or debit on a stipulated date prior to arrival when applicable. Up until now, Booking.com have always been satisfactory. However I won’t use this company again if they continue to offer payment at a later date, but debit the payment immediately. It is most unpleasant arriving at a hotel and having to explain payment is already made.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful stay!!! We walked the Via Francigena and because of the heatwave we requested a early check in which was no problem for Viginia. We stayed in communication via WhatsApp and check in was quick and efficient. We booked the Studio and a Double room, both very spacious, so beautiful decorated, quiet and peaceful. Comfortable beds and clean modern bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, very nice addition to our stay. The location is awesome, right in the middle of Buonconvento.
Cons: Really nothing at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We are walking the Via Francigena and Casa Anita was a welcome stop. Charming second floor studio, rustic but lovingly appointed. Memory foam mattress on the bed. Small kitchen with the basics (we didn’t use). Yes there are stairs up to the unit. Yes the bathroom is small. But this is Europe. Either get used to it or pay 250 euros a night. Virginia was very nice and even offered to pick us up in the next town over in the event of heavy rain interrupting our walk. We like staying in these kind of places. And be sure to try the restaurant next door. La Porta del Sotto.
6.5 Good
Pros: We were upgraded to a very nice studio apartment, comfortable, well-equipped, and with lots of space...
Cons: ...but it was at the top of a steep staircase which was difficult manage with heavy bags. The shower curtain smelt when we arrived to the extent that my wife felt compelled to wash it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good central location next door to restaurant and bar. Virginia very helpful.
Cons: One bathroom rather small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room. Lucky there was noone in the other room so very private use of shared area. Comfy bed. Good supply of hot water. Central to small town.
Cons: Nothing really
7.5 Good
Pros: Great contact from staff.
Cons: Poor lighting

Pros: Incredible place owned and operated by a warm family.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great owners, hospitality, rich breakfast, fabulous dinner, farm animals (great for the kids), view into the countryside from the pool - beautiful place for a dream holiday in Tuscany's countryside
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at this cozy Agritourismo. The host and hostess were incredibly friendly, genuine and accommodating. One of our favorite parts of the trip was getting to know them over the delicious home-cooked meal they prepared. They also have goats, chickens, dogs and some very friendly horses, so if you love animals this place is for you. Really a great experience.
Cons: Not much to complain about. The light in our room could have been a bit stronger, so it was sort of dark during the evenings, but otherwise very nice accomodations. Great water pressure in the shower.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting and nice family.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stefania and her family were extraordinary. They went out of their way to welcome us and suggest things to see and do. When we left I was so sad to leave her and her hospitality it was like leaving family. My girls loved visiting the animals everyday. The pool was amazing as was the the area around the property. We hiked one morning and my photos look like something out of a photo shoot for Tuscany.
Cons: Nothing we loved it here.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Stefania is wonderful. She was made to run a place like this. Also, the pool view is spectacular. The pool room was excellent. We also enjoyed being part of the family one evening over dinner! We took the cooking class, which we were quite pleased with. Stefania offered espressos or cappuccinos twice during the class, to say nothing of offering us wine twice as well. Stefania`s son Giulio, a chef, taught us the ropes with handmade pasta (of our choice), and Stefania took us through the sauce and making tiramisu. What fun!
Cons: When it's difficult to think of something we didn't like, you know it was very good! The one suggestion we would make should not eclipse the fact that we loved our stay here and the people. It is only a small suggestion. It is that the two large dogs should likely be kept away from guests (we love dogs, but the growling and racing around can be unnerving). We loved the two small Jack Russells though! Cute!
