Excellent central location for sightseeing and transport links. Very helpful staff with good English. Good buffet breakfast included in price. Small lift which stopped on half landings, so you had to carry bags down a few steps.
The hotel was perfect for our needs and we were able to explore the area very easily from our hotel. It was excellent for the price.
on our arrival hotel didn't had confirmation from booking.com. Staff was very nice and helpfull. they don't have parking for cars as it's writen on your site.
The only one thing I liked it was the location which was near the cruise terminal as I had to join a cruise ship. I didn't like many things, the service is not good at all, the personnel is not professional, I asked for an additional towel and the answer from the Reception was "Yes of course, you can have it, come down to take it by yourself". The room was not comfortable, the bed is old and gave me a bad backache, the shower was not working properly and the cabin's door was broken. The minibar was empty I had to call and ask and they sent a steward to fill it up..."the lady came and filled it with 2 small bottles of natural water and 1 can of pepsi cola". This is not what you expect from a 3 stars Hotel for 75 euros per night!
Location, staff value for money, cigarette smell
It was close to the city centre, but not too noisy.
location street noise. smell in the room.
his was a great hotel... would stay here again in a second.
Taxi from cruise terminal cost E35 for a 5km trip@
It was close to the airport We first got a room that was stinky! Smokers i guess. We got another room, no problem
The area is very strange. I wouldn't get out after the dark in that area. The train station near showed it very well... the ticket machine was all covered in steel, and the monitors were with thick grilage on them.
The atmosphere was good and they looked after us well. The food was really good and the rooms were very clean. Very near to the Motorway and easy to find. Not the best part of town but very Italian. Market near by and parking was OK. At first sight you may be put off but inside was great.
Not much, elevator worked Hotel did not return 2 emails; wake up call an hour early for flight back to us; no glasses in room; Noisy and unsavory neighborhood, as well as some other guest. WiFi incredibly limited and slow. Should have slept at airport for early flight rather than waste 65Eu here
it's in the city center parking place
the price. The hotel was very cheap and we had everything what we needed. It was quite clean, the breakfast was okay. none
- nothing. the room was small for 4 persons, and there was nobody at the reception when we get there, so we call them to open.....
The staff and the breakfast. It was clean. The shower didn't work. The room was very small.
Good size room, nice breakfast, very close to station and easy walk to sights of Genoa. Air conditioning wasn't working while we were there.
location is very close to train station Genova P.P. There is WiFi for extra money, but speed is extra slow and not stable. Door of room is not sound prove at all. If you sleep and somebody walks in a corridor feeling is like that somebody is in your room. TV signal is bad.
My room looks nice, including all the facility I needed, but it was not quite clean. I could saw ashes flying in the morning sunshine.
proximity to middle of town noise from lane in front of hotel
The hotel is very closed to city center
Perfect location, just few meters from main station. Hotel is clean and well kept.
Too expensive, room was poor (maintenance, cleanliness). Breakfast very plain. Lovcation in centre
Theese room doors are not good as a hotel-room door. It look likes garage doors.
Just the location Really old rooms, poorly renovated. Weird smell in the whole hotel. Poor light.Poor window view. Awful decoration. Got a really ''cheap'' feeling during my stay
only stayed one night, Good location and friendly and helpfull staff.
Nice spacious room. The bathroom really small and no internet which it said there was only in the reception area. Can be alot of noise from outside during early hours of the morning.
The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and eager to please. The hotel was a good combination of quirky and antique. The location is central. There was some street noise even though we were on the fifth floor.
It was pleasant enough and had everything I needed.
Not far from Train station, good location. 1 hour free internet was handy. Breakfast was nice, so too was the waiter. Noise outside was awful, kept us awake most of the night. They wouldnt allow a 5 minute early breakfast because we had to catch a train. English was a struggle. Very expensive for what you get. No fridge or aircon.
The only positive argument for us is that the hotel (???) is situated in the by Unesco protected pedestrion zone of the city, on walking distance from stazione principe and nearby restaurants, harbour... No trafic allowed but... (read our negative argments) Huuuuge cockroach in the bathroom - bad smell out of the foot washer without trivet - terrible disturbance on all tv channels - shower walls full of mould - no reading lounge - staff spoke only a few words english, no communication with guests - internet to pay for this room price?? - no minibar in the room to keep water cool - electricity works in all halls - not finished wall painting - window can't be opened - very noisy airconditioning machine in the room - partybeasts loudly passing through the street during night and early morning - breakfast is a disgrace : packed toast bread but no toaster, cornflakes but no milk, no fresh bread, no ham, no cheese, only few coffee cakes for all and packed cookies, no fresh juice, no eggs, no fruits
If you don’t want to ruin your impression of Genova and Italy choose another hotel – the staff is very unpleasant and impolite.
Location was excellent - in the middle of everything. Stuff very nice, the room was clean and comfortable.
Friendly staff. Clean. Close proximity to everything. It lives up to it's name - mini. But given the price...
nothing to like about Room layout and breakfast
Nice place, small price, basic hotel in a cute central road. Reception willing to help.
Very close to Porto Vecchio and the Aquarium. Staff very helpfull
Paid for a regular room and got an awesome luxury apartment. Expensive (and full) parking, had to park in the (yet more expensive) Aquarium parking next door.
Great Location, central and easy walking distance to restaurants, marina, aquarium etc
view I must go away two days before and I must pay for all period. This condition is not correct.
The Hotel is well located but the staff, with rare exceptions, was not helpful at all. We needed a late check out ( around 2 PM ) to catch a plane and the lady at the desk told us she couldn't do it because the hotel was fully booked. However, acessing Booking.com we could easily see that there were, at least, 20 rooms available for the next day. We felt deceived because we were lied to.
In Centre City. Near The Aquarium
Very good hotel located into marina. Yachts are all around.Fantastic bar and restaurant with perfect terase.
i came to the hotel parking straight from France thanks to my car gps ,the staff at reception was perfect and answer my worries:how can i park safely my car.and sold me tickets for the boat to take us to the Nautica international.i was also advised to a very good traditional restaurant in the vicinity for a nice dinner.100% efficient.thanks. none
there is no wide varity in food menu
Quite expensive but the hotel is lovely, new but very well planned & designed with flair to give a great atmosphere - the location helps of course, being right on the water. Also a lot of little accessories were provided in the room. Unusually, as there is nearly always something to criticise, we could make no criticism of The Jolly - Marina at all.
Very comfortable hotel in excellant location for the coast and exploring a very interesting, but understated, town.
Ideal location for visiting Genoa away from city polution yet able to be in the city within 15 minutes by frequent reasonably priced trains. Adjacent to Parks containing art, cafe and childrens playground. I would have prefered some literature prepared by the hotel about the immediate amenities especially as a non speaking Italian.
The breakfast was good. Freshly cut ham & a little cheese every day. Good variety. The PC in the lobby could never make an internet connection. Poor lighting in the room.
It was such a gracious hotel. I was so tired whern I arrived and felt quite restored by my stay (which I extended); its a lovely location away from the hustle and bustle (which is close enough if you really want it) and with a lovely gaarden. The staff were helpful and plesant. The charge for internet access was a little high I though, though all hotels in this general area seem to charge a lot so perhaps there are limited providers.
nice staff, cleanliness, close to the sea, park, nice enviroment poor brekfast, bad wifi signal, small room
Sea view from balcony - great sunset in November. Great bathroom
Pleasant, convenient to the Passeggiata. No swimming pool.
The hotel staff was very friendly and tried to help in any way. Breakfast was minimal relative to similar hotels.
Staff were helpful & friendly The hotel cold be difficult to find in a hire car.
The location is very good - not far from the center, near bus station, but aside from the city noise. A very nice building in "villa" style. The room is clean, bed is comfortable, breakfast is sufficient. Very helpful and friendly staff.
The stuff was very friendly and helpfull +
Staff very helpful and breakfast good. Thin walls, our neighbor kept us up most of the night. WIFI did not work.
Everything was ok, helply staff, nice rooms, very clean, no noise and good location in the city
Very helpful staff, charming rooms, cleanliness everywhere in thé hotel. Tasty italian breakfast. Bocadessa village 5 min walk with excellent restaurants. Nothing
The whole experience - all the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The hotel was excellent - near the sea, in a nice district, bus stop right outside made it very easy to travel about, pool & tennis courts next door. Would certainly stay there again.
Nice people, clean bearterful building. Good breakfast and services. Nothing.
The welcome and service in general were particularly good - very smiling and helpful staff, speaking both good english and french. Although not in the city centre, it is well connected by bus (bus stop just in front of the hotel, 10 mn ride, frequent buses) and you can leave your car in the hotel courtyard (free of charge), avoiding the trouble of city centre traffic. It is also close to the Lido. The hotel is very clean and appears to have been recently renovated.
The hotel staff's ability to communicate in English and their willingness to provide a map of the area, walking directions, key points of interest, restaurant suggestions, information on train schedules, and taxi notification was wonderful. The hotel staff was able to accommodate everything that we needed and answer all of our questions. The service was top notch!
My girlfriend and I staied in Hotel Helvetia just one night during a weekend in Genova and all has been perfect! The staff is very friendly and really kind! The position is fantastic and the price is onest, it has been a fantastic choice for our week-end visiting the Acquario di Genova (see the distance in Google Maps)! This hotel is recomended referring to our direct experience! Maybe the room was a bit small but it is perfect for short trip!
Rooms small... but not bad for European City standards. Staff very friendly.
Incredibly helpful staff. Central location. Easy to find. Room was spotlessly clean. Room was slightly on the small side - but we booked a basic room & it was fine for a couple of nights.
Big room, separate bad for child
Conveniently close to train station and harbor; good breakfast served earlier than in most other hotels
Inexpensive accommodation close to station Room on busy street - very noisy
the location the size of the room
Great location, not too far from the main station and not too far from the Port or the main square. Staff were very helpful, esp the lady on the day always helped with questions and queries. The only problem I found was on check out they wanted payment in cash which I didn't have so had to go find an ATM and get out enough. I told the guy on the desk I didn't have cash and he gave me no other option, there was a efpos machine on the desk so no idea why I couldn't use my card. Put a whole dampener on the stay.
Firstly I was surprised to have been upgraded. It was really nice. The General Manger, Mrs Marina Giuliano of the Hotel was professional, and friendly our dinner was excellent. I would suggest the Hotel La Bolline to friends tha paly Golf.
We like the welcomeness of the place woner as she used to welcome every gust and keep after any service provided and always get the costumers feedback and statisfaction. She is really a great/nice lady No. Everything was good
Very nice old-fashioned villa with hearty personnel. The style and look of spacy rooms is awesome. Located in golf area and 10 mins walk from Scrivia outlet though located in country side - almost no areas for walks around
Very nice hotel, excellent and warm reception.
Everything was perfect and as expected to be....
We enjoyed our stay, our roof was peaceful with a superb view of the countryside. The Hotel owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome, advising us where to eat good food with local wine. Superb would definatly use again.
Nice and quiet stay in a beautiful setting. Friendly welcome. We were traveling through and visiting the designer outlet on the way. The town of Gavi is small but very nice. The larger family rooms upstairs are much nicer than the double rooms on ground floor, even if these are also perfectly ok.
location Breakfast is mandatory for me in the each hotel.
The mountain view was absolutely wonderful considering the distance from the nearest city (it's less then 10 minutes drive). All the rooms were warm, tidy and well designed. The staff were incredibly nice even though we were quite late for check-in. The area can be a bit foggy night times so it's good to have GPS or a simple map.
Very nice place to stay away from the city. You need to have a car to reach Genova
Price, loxation To have shampoo in the room, breakfast
Good position, nice nature area, freindly owners. Best regards to Mario!!!
Studio accommodation ,spotlessly clean, well equiped, good food in the restaurant. Needs better directions, can be a tricky to find. Would reccommed it ! Could do with better directions /sign posting
Great location, ceilings in bedrooms stunning! Room a little chilly.
Interior Price Staff view not include Nice location ! i like the design, its really genovese)) Breakfast not good without mini-bar
Beautiful big room, brand new bathroom, great location, very friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is on the 3-rd floor without elevator - may be an issue for some people (not us).
Very convenient location and warm welcome. Good size room with a nice cup of coffee and cornetto to start the day - what more do you want? No problem to us. But for someone less abled, the top floor location might possibly be a problem but with prior notice the helpful staff will surely assist with luggage etc.,
The beautiful frescoed ceiling really made the room special. But there's only one room like this, so request it if you want it! Very convenient to the main train station. No elevator to the second-floor (third floor for Americans) location.
perfect location near train station and right in the city center, nice rooms with old paintings on the ceiling, friendly and helpfull staff everything is a bit old and needs renovation
location near the train station; good value for the money; wireless internet availability lack of noise isolation from inside noise, but this is only important during busy early mornings;
We booked 2 rooms for our weekend stay in Genova at the hotel and both were nice. The bathroom in one of the rooms and the paint seemed newer. We really enjoyed the frescos on the ceilings and our well traveled dog was welcomed warmly by staff. We would stay here again.
The staff was nice and the hotel was located very close to the aquarium. The room was clean and nice with a great painted ceiling. None
big rooms loudness of the street
Rooms are confortable and the breakfast is simple but good -
Very good location, with a wonderful view on the castle. My room was very clean and fresh. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Easy access Parking problem (especially on Sunday), very poor breakfast
the staff recmmended a local reastrant which was very local and very Italian-- we enjoyed the food very much
we stayed one night and there was blackout (no electricity) for this period
Nice accurate privately hold hotel in the very centre of old Gavi town. The owner Guliano (I hope the spelling is correct) prepares georgeous espresso or guests! Comfortable beds. If you happen to stay there do not miss an opportunity and visit local restaurant Zenzero that offers traditional ligurian dishes. A bit further from Serravalle than indicated 8 km, but still convenient.
Good location for shopping. Room`s cleanness. Breakfast could be better!
Breakfast terrace. Kindness of hotel staff. The noise during the night from main town square. No air conditioning
There was no airconditioning, while it was blisteringly hot. One tower fan in a room for three. Hotel staff chose not o speak English when I complained, they spoke English till then. do not stay at this hotel
Very nice breakfast, clean and modern facilities, and great hosts. Free wireless in rooms would be nice. There was one ethernet cord, but you had to use it in a separate room.
Loved it. Ver authentic Italian. I could walk to the village where my mother was born and the cemetery where my grandparents are. Roads are a challenge but that is what the Italian countryside is like. The roads to get there and gps doesn't get you all the way there
