My first stay at this Dan Hotel. While the hotel lobby, public areas and rooms are a bit dark and dated, it is a well-run facility with good staff and attention to detail. All areas as well as the room were well maintained and clean. The staff was very helpful with driving directions and well informed as to area sights. For the immediate area around and near Caesaria this is a great hotel. On the golf course and a great looking pool area. All very quiet and relaxing. Ours was a short stay as we were up and out very early in the morning for the airport. Nice and quiet!
Breakfast was beautifully served and complete. Room was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub.
It was interesting to somewhere used by 'locals' instead of an 'International Nothing' Hotel. Position was good for visiting the town and Caeasaria if one has a car. View was super. It was certainly a 'change'- and, for all its faults- we enjoyed our stay. Quite a nice and very acceptable breakfast. Steps!!!!! Up to the Hotel itself, up to our room on the third floor- they were helpful carrying bags but, in the heat.... no joke.... they need elevators desperately. The room was very spartan and a small. Its a small town and, as the Hotel was a couple of kilometres from the centre- dead at night and a bit hard t find.
The location. Some of the staff were very nice, some a little less so
Highly recommended! European-style family hotel. The view from the breakfast terrace is incredible - we had a relaxing 2 hour breakfast overlooking the seacoast with gentle harp music piped in the background, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were simple but spacious and comfortable and breakfast was fresh and delicious. The reception closes at 9:30 pm and is replaced by a combination lock, so contact them in advance if you plan to check in late at night. We didn't mind, but there are steps up to the hotel and also inside - so not for the the physically-challenged. There were families with strollers who seemed fine with it.
The food in the dining room was excellent although overpriced. The hotel has no elevator so we had to climb, with heavy suitcases, 2 floors from the road to the front desk and another 3 full flights to the room! Not the kind of adventure you will enjoy. Five flights everytime we needed something from the car or left the hotel for meals. The shower had no lip to prevent water from flooding the entire bathroom, very tight fit in the bathroom. No tub. No clean towels on second day. Ants were marching all over the bathroom and maybe more. No microwave. Breakfast was the usual Israeli salads and yogurt. Internet in hotel cost outrageous but there is a free internet cafe in town.
