2.5 Mediocre
Cons: cockroach in room and bedbug bites on my legs
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast buffet was extremely expensive, even with the discount, and food was terrible. Pancakes too hard to cut- yes, could not cut with a fork! Pancakes, bacon, and sausage were cold. Potatoes were OK. $18.00 for cold, hard food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view. Very accommodating staff.
9.4 Excellent
Cons: It was very close to the airport which is convinent for travelers, our suite didn't have waterfront view but has a nice tropical garden view to it. Over all it was very nice, but I wish they would have more small appliances inside the rooms such as microwaves.
3.4 Mediocre
Cons: The hallways and rooms smelled like smoke. There was a dead spider on one of the beds. You could hear everything from voices, lanai sliders opening and closing to doors slamming.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The really nice and welcoming greeting of aloha from the tall young man at the front desk. I wish I could remember his name, I believe it was a hawaiian name, he really made my stay as well as my other family members rooming on different floors right at home.
Cons: Lack of parking spaces, and longer valet service.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful setting with water views Excellent restaurant
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very clean hotel room. Comfortable settings.
Cons: I did not see anything that I did not like.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff
6.2 Good
Pros: The food at the restaurant was good.
Cons: There were too many cats running around near the property.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff was nice. The room just o.k.
Cons: The room was tiny and for the price was a bit of a rip off. The balcony didn't lock. One of the smallest rooms I've stayed in and the bathroom reminded me of a hotel 6.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I was there for business so unfortunately, I did not have a chance to enjoy the amenities or meals at the hotel. The room was large and comfortable. The staff that I did encounter (only checking in and checking out) was pleasant and shared the feeling of aloha. The view was lovely, even if we did not have an ocean view.
Cons: The wi-fi in the room was not free. I ended up using my hotspot to connect, which was necessary for my business. There was not an ice machine on my floor and not sign or notice in the room where to find it. At that time, I didn't want to call or go look for a machine on another floor. It would also be nice to have a separate light switch for the toilet/shower so I would not disturb my co-worker when I woke up early to get ready. I ended up using the flashlight on my phone.

6.0 Good
Pros: I’ll start with the positives. The hotel was clean, friendly receptionist and an easy check in. But the parking was a nightmare. There isn’t nearly enough space for everyone so you end up having to park a ways away from your car, the elevators are slow, the toilets in your room look like something from a public restroom and are super loud and the restaurant doesn’t have very good food and the help was rude. The hotels surrounding this one aren’t nice at all either.
6.0 Good
Pros: Clean feel
Cons: NO VALET AND NOT ENOUGH PARKING. Huge flaw. Makes no sense
7.7 Good
Pros: The room was nice, no real complaints about it or the hotel. Except. There was a metal clanging from the elevator that is right beside the room. It's loud and wakes you up. It needs to be addressed. Perhaps it's already in the works.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very polite and attentive.
Cons: There was some construction going on outside and nothing was mentioned before hand on your web site. Had I been informed before hand I would have requested a room away from the noise or booked another hotel. (Maybe that's why nothing was said.)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location on water front.. We were able to get prechecked and on request, got a couple of hours extension at no charge..

9.7 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful experience! The hotel is not fancy but loaded with atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. We borrowed bicycles and road over to downtown Hilo on a Sunday morning. We walked to our boat tour embarkation in the afternoon. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was ample and delicious. The whole place was clean and well-cared for. It’s clear that the owners and employees take pride in the building and grounds and want to share it with their guests. I’ll definitely come back.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The restaurant attached to it. Food was good and staff were friendly.
Cons: The room was damp and the carpet was too old.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location of the hotel and its surroundings is beautiful. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room that we got was not one of the best. On one side there is a road/highway and other side there is pool. Constant noise from both sides. Room electrical needs improvement. One switch turns on bathroom and other lights which can be disturbing for other persons in the room. These are minor things.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Home style feeling and the staff was filled with aloha.
Cons: We always enjoy our stay at the seaside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the people who work there, best group ive ever seen. Amazing staff, really care, soooo noticable.
Cons: So minamal on problems, if any problems, just my view, cause sure they would listen if i noticed something.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Great breakfast, not just continental breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice laundry. Convenient to everything. Close to airport. Very Affordable. We will refer everyone to this Hotel.
6.5 Good
Pros: Economical, friendly and helpful staff, close to garden and Coconut Island.
Cons: Windows are unsealed glass vents so there will be various common bugs that share your room, including small roaches. Nothing compared to a cabin in the woods, but those with bug phobia may be concerned.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The friendliest and nicest staff ever
Cons: I have traveled and stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never encountered such nice people. The place is older but is spotless and comfortable I would recommend this place to anyone going to Hilo Loved it
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel brags of.being part.of.the only Hawaiian owned hotel group. It has some pretty courtyards and the pool is ok. The attached restaurant is convenient and the rooms are affordable. They have laundry facilities onsite which we liked because we travelled with carry on only for a ten day trip. Also, it is located on Banyan drive, where the walk is amazing. After walking that road, we decided we had the right hotel if we were staying on that strip. The others were a bit intimidating to walk by, we thought.
Cons: The rooms themselves are a bit run down. Clean, bit run down. The desk staff were not particularly friendly. Children playing in the pool were using tiles they found from the pool wall for diving and the poolcould be cleaner around the rim. Some of the rooms feel like you are in a cave. We were happier when we moved to the second floor.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location next to the airport was nice. It is within a reasonable walk to downtown Hilo.
Cons: The hotel feels old and could use some renovation. It was also very hard to find our room. Breakfast doesn't start until 7am, so we missed it due to an 8am flight.

Pros: Me and my wife we love this place. It’s made us feel like home not a hotel. The owner was very nice he had fruits for us in the kitchen. At night we sleep very peaceful cause all the birds and animals sound. I would love to come back here again. Highly recommended to stay here, if you want to feel like living on the island.

Pros: We loved the Hilo Bay Hale Bed and Breakfast. It's in a old-fashioned house that is spacious and full of windows and porches. The kitchen is such a welcoming place to gather. The manager, Carolina, is so warm (and a great breakfast chef!) And it's an easy couple of blocks walk to downtown Hilo and great restaurants.
Cons: Nothing. It was great.

9.1 Excellent
Pros: Although the decor is a little dated, everything is well cared for and the room was SO CLEAN and so tidy when we came in! The bed was comfy, the staff was personable, and I got to watch a sea turtle munching on algae from the back staircase.
Cons: The WiFi was really spotty in our room, and the network wasn't password protected. The shower head was meh. Other guests were a little loud in the afternoon but they quieted down well before bedtime.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Location was great Quiet rooms. Clean.
Cons: Walk up steps only, but was told before I went there No elevator or a/c, but was told before I went there.
