Pros: This hotel met expectations on everything except the level of noise.
Cons: With this hotel being right next to Midway airport you have to expect some noise. Interestingly the airplanes taking off and landing weren't the issue. I'm not sure if it was construction, a train, or something else but for the entire time we were at the hotel there was a periodic, very loud, metal on metal screeching sound that would last for around 5 to 10 minutes then stop. Definitely made it difficult to sleep.
Pros: hotel/rooms are clean and roomy.
Cons: Where do I begin ? I stayed here for New Years while visiting my bf. My stay was great except for one night when I was awoken by yelling and crying by a grown man outside my door arguing with his gf until 3 am. I am not the type to complain, ever, but I just had enough and really needed my sleep. They escorted him out & all was well. Customer service is exceptional here and hotel is beautiful; the only reason I returned a second time. So, I re-booked at the Hyatt for my stay this time around because I felt the previous incident was something out of their hands. This time around I stayed for a total of 3 nights which consisted of my neighbors on both ends screaming and yelling , running up and down my halls until 4:30 am. Not to mention , there was a very strong marijuana smell seeping through my vents. Every time I entered my bathroom, the odor was there. I complained the night before my last stay about the smell to ensure I was not charged for anything & the supervisor advised me the next day they were escorted out. The last day of my check out , I spoke to the manager above Her & asked for a Kate checkout , which I was given. I also advised him of the horrible stay & he responded that they have received no complaints and no one was escorted off the property, and that when he saw me yesterday I looked just fine , like nothing bothered me. All in all, manager was a liar , supervisor was unprofessional, every stay guests are a complete nuisance and you will remain sleepless & staff will not acknowledge your concerns. Also, prices are outrages for location ! I paid almost $600 for 3 nights (this is a discounted price) to smell marijuana for three nights and stay wide awake until my neighbors got tired of running and yelling back and forth . My suggestion, beautiful hotel, staff is friendly but does not really care about your comfort, neighborhood is not nice at all for the price, and hotel is unbelievably noisy.
Pros: The staff, and clean modern rooms. Free breakfast was decent.
Cons: The kingsize suite is very small.
Pros: The staff were so helpful and friendly! The rooms were very clean and spacious.

Pros: Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. Good value. Great location. Good, free, breakfast.
Cons: Floor in lobby hallway not clean, sticky. Floor in elevator wet, both on more than one occasion.
Cons: Everything was at least as advertised and acceptable. I didn't find anything I disliked.

Pros: Close to the airport. Easy bus pick up to the airport. Nice breakfast.
Pros: The room was nice, quiet and clean.
Cons: It is over priced. We had to pay and additional $17 for parking overnight in an unsecured parking lot. Needless to say there are no views since it is close to MDW airport, which is why I think it is so overpriced. There was no bottled water in the room. Typically, most hotels provide 1 or 2 complementary bottled waters. I had to call the front desk three times to verify the check out time and kept getting placed on hold.
Pros: The December 28, 2015 rain/ice storm delayed our trip home from Jamaica. Hampton Inn had the best rate for a very last minute reservation. They accommodated the eight of us with ease. They made us feel welcome after an unfortunate travel delay. The rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is wonderful. Would definitely go back even without an unexpected delay.

Pros: All the staff was pleasant. We used the lounge for a late night family dinner. Kids loved the pool. It was warm enough with plenty of towels.
Pros: Nice size room. Comfortable beds.
Cons: We didn't receive room service for 2 nights. They didn't seem to care
Pros: Friendly staff and rooms were clean
Cons: Child had an accident in pool and it was closed. Not the hotel's fault but the pool was one of the things we wanted so our kids could play.
Pros: The room was clean and the furnishings were fresh and comfortable and the staff was helpful and pleasant
Pros: The staff were very pleasant, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
Cons: Nothing I considered to be major. Overall, my experience was great.
Pros: Pleanty if space free breakfast my kids and I enjoyed ourselves.
Cons: Too much chemical in pool my son broke out in hives. His full body.
The hallways smelled fresh and not stale. The rooms were fresh smelling. My daughter and I were impressed with the linen! The pillows were exceptionally comfy and we both slept well. The location was great also. We were accessible to the expressway, a few stores and restaurants. The entrance and exit to and the hotel were nice as well.
Pros: That hotel was one of the most clean, friendliest and spacious place that I have stayed. I would highly recommend this place to a friend....
Cons: Not one thing!
Pros: the staff helped me find (wet-basement) contractors in the area by copying them from the internet. no phone books were available.
Pros: It's was a great getaway weekend destination and I will definitely be back to this hotel again.
Cons: Nothing.... Everything was perfect
Priceline's lack of interest in customer satisfaction was amazingly disappointing. I will only use the Priceline site to compare prices, then call the hotel directly and negotiate the same price in the future. Priceline lost a customer.
Pros: Friendliness of the staff, specifically the woman that managed the breakfast was the sweetest person.
Cons: Unrelated to Hampton Inn, what I didn't like was that Priceline was unable to adjust my request less than 30 seconds after I chose the wrong room configuration, even though the room I wanted was still available. No flexibility by Priceline.
The hotel overall is well maintain, cell room, with breakfast in the morning and in a great location. There is this one staff member that need some training on customer service and greeting customers. Fist she did not have a name tag on and the fist thing she said to my wife and I was check in is 4pm before she said anything else to us. It wasn't until I showed her my Hilton's Honor member card that she changed her mind and checked us in. I'm sure that Hilton hotels do not appreciate members of their staff that greet customer like this. Now, there was this other staff member that was very helpful to us later on that night when we were trying to find an address in the near by area of University Park. She gave complete detail information and even gave us the hotel's number for us to call if we had any other question on how to get there.
Pros: The best thing about this hotel is the location in proximity of my business in the area.
Cons: The one and most damaging thing is the way I was treated when I arrived at the hotel to check in. My wife and I had been traveling all night from the west coast and arrived at the 1pm and the first thing we were told is check in is 4pm. No greeting.
General manager was there when we had a problem and was very unprofessional. Talked badly about priceline, and his staff member told me that they were at fault. Wasn't polite at all.
Pros: Room wasn't the cleanest. Pole was broke in closet and they had an attitude about fixing it.
Cons: Staff wasn't very helpful. I was charged an extra incidental fee. Very rude.

Cons: I don't like being charged 48.05 twice by you and 20 by the hotel. Too much of money on hold when I'm from out of town with a child and may need it!!
Pros: Nearby shopping & restaurants. Reasonably clean and spacious.
Cons: The bed mattress was nor very comfortable.
Pros: This is a clean but inexpensive, standard/no-frills hotel. We stayed here while visiting family, and I would stay here again.
Cons: No problems, actually.
Pros: My friends and I loved everything about this hotel--customer service and location were fantastic!
Pros: Cleanliness, beauty of the property. Location excellent.
Cons: Staff avability not bad but needs improving. Friendliness could be better; currently strictly business ... get you in and out. When calling front desk several time the phone rang numerous times. Family calling in had to redial a number of times to get an answer. TV selections POOR.
Pros: Friendly staff, quick service and clean room.
Cons: The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very uncomfortable.

Pros: Very convenient to the airport. Staff very friendly and helpful. TGI Friday's right next door, so dinner was covered.
My flight out was delayed at the last moment and the front desk let me back into the room after I had checked out -- sweet,
Cons: Not much around it other than more hotels. Didn't offer any kind of breakfast other than pastries - so you had to travel to find breakfast.

Cons: They're very rude and impolite!! kept asking when am I going to leave!. Don't know where to start : I stayed for one night only when I arrived the front desk was so not friendly and she kept blow air she asked my for my bank card and ID to verify the reservation she was very stressful and upset for some reason I felt like someone enforced her to work!! I was about to tell her it's a hotel you need to smile abd chill out dude!!! . Next day started to pack up and asked them for extra half an hour within 15 minutes they sent the house keeper saying that it's time to check out, RUDE!!!! this was my first and last time to go to this hotel.
Pros: The complimentary breakfast area.
Cons: Lobby has construction companies equipment in it and the door to my suite had the rubber hanging off it.

Pros: Reasonable price. Acceptable breakfast. Would stay there again. I don't stay in hotels enough to answer some of the questions above. For several questions I would have answered no-opinion.
Cons: Bathroom door didn't latch; staff repaired it while we were out. Dresser drawer is on the verge of breaking; we didn't use the dresser.
Pros: Staff was excellent! From check in to checkout.
Pros: I liked the location just outside of Chicago but still close to many attractions without. Breakfast bar was wonderful, neat, clean, and very well organized. I like the check in and check out times. The rooms were very clean and perfect for our weekend trip. Plus free parking is always nice.
Cons: Couple things. As I checked us in (5/21 around 7pm) the girl said she needed a card on file for any damage or what not. Understandable. But what she didn't tell me is that she was charging my card $20. (Standard I know) but she didn't even tell. Had no intention of telling me. I only knew because of my mobile banking informing me she took money. When I asked her she goes oh ha ya. I guess I should of told you I was charging your card. You think? That's theft. Not happy about that one bit.
Next. Every best western I have stayed at all have the high pitched water whistling sound. So when people shower it's loud and only half the water makes it into the shower head. The rest spills all down the wall.
The toliet would flush then take 20+ minutes to fill up again. Really loud and annoying.
But like I said you get what you pay for.
Great cheap hotel for a Chicago visit. But you get what you pay for.
Cons: Didn't stay at hotel. Cancelled reservation with best western. Piceline wouldn't cancel. Made reservation thinking BW was pet friendly. They were not. That's my problem.

Pros: The room was great & staff was friendly & professional.
Cons: No, all good!
Pros: close oroximity to where I needed to be.
Cons: The room was so hot. I turned off the fans and opened windows. It was 33 degrees or lower over night and there was not even a chill in the room in the morning.
Pros: I like that housekeeper made our beds and kept it clean while we were out. The lady at the front desk was nice. But the gentlemen didn't look nice he never smile or aplogize.
Cons: They didn't offer free breakfast. The room that we were at kept making loud noises. I don't know if it was from the sink or what but it kept going off. Then our toliet kept getting clog up. Oh boy
Pros: Location and that it's a Holiday Inn.
Cons: All areas of employees and maintenance not nearly as professional as expected. My door didn't shut correctly, the front desk were very casual, less than completely professional. I typically stay at a Marriott property for less/nt & much more professional
Pros: the bed
Cons: no coffee on saturday

Pros: No complaints
Cons: Do not book this hotel based off the pictures rooms are not consistent with the rooms its self

Pros: Great location to our concert venue. Clean comfortable room. Great mattress!
Cons: The staff person who checked us in was not unfriendly, but not nearly as friendly/concerned about our potential stay as the other two staff members who were checking in other guests. I am not that needy a guest, but a welcomingsmile would have been nice.

Pros: The hotel was wonderful. Very clean and roomy.
Cons: The dinner buffet wasn't all that good. The casino on 3 levels is inconvenient. Of course, I'm comparing it to the Ameristar in Colorado. Plus, alcoholic beverages aren't free while gambling! That's just wrong!!!!
Pros: I liked that the rooms were nice and big. The hotel and its room were clean and comfortable. I liked the food as well and the free valet parking.
Cons: The walls must be really thin because i got a complaint for noise. All me and my family were doing was laughing while watching tv. THis was a first something like this happened to me.
Pros: It was nice to get around
Cons: There was an add that stated a price and when we got there it was different .But we still stayed at the hotel.
Pros: The room was exceedingly comfortable and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They were willing and able to help me find whatever I needed in the area.
Cons: The wi-fi was very weak, frustratingly so. Connection dropped in and out, and was not quick enough while connected to run a youtube video at 144p. Also the bar/restaurants in the casino were overpriced.
Pros: The room was very nice and spacious. The staff were also very friendly.
Pros: We frequent this place in the pay when it used to be the resorts. Loved it then . The biggest bathroom you'll ever find. Big soak tub, separate shower, private door to the toilet. Decor are luxurious. The great view of the marina. Great seafood buffet at night. All you can eat breakfast for $9.99. FREE valet. Casino for entertainment. What else can you ask for??
Cons: None. We love it. We tried else where and there's nothing like it.
Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago features a casino and a marina. Guests can visit the 24-hour fitness center for a workout or grab a bite to eat at Heritage Buffet, which is one of 5 restaurants and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rooms at this upscale hotel offer up nice touches like deep soaking tubs and premium bedding, along with LCD TVs and refrigerators.
Cons: Lack of shuttle service to Midway airport before 8:00 AM and after 10:00 PM. I reserved a room here primarily because I needed the free shuttle, and was led to believe that the shuttle would pick me up at 10:15 PM when I was at the airport. Had to cab it instead, but at least the cab was cheap. Rooms are a little overpriced considering there is no late night shuttle.
Pros: Fitness room small but good and 24hr good location with free parking and staff friendly

Cons: The room was smaller than expected due to large armoire and shower. The shower floor is extremely slippery, i fell on my first step into the shower told the front desk and got no response from management. Rude person at checkout. Will post on all sites.
Pros: When I booked, the only amenties I saw listed were Free Wi-Fi, hair dryer, breakfast. To my Surprise there was also a micro, drug and iron! It worked out better than I had hoped!
Pros: very close to the place we were attending
Pros: Great service!
Pros: The staff was excellent
Cons: Room was very small
Cons: There were cigarette burns in the blankets of our 'non-smoking' room. The room stunk so bad when we checked in that we left and came back a few hours later.
Pros: Employees were very nice and helpful!!!Liked that the room had microwave, refrigerator, and safe
Cons: breakfast was nothing special.
Cons: No pool no hot tub
Pros: Everyone was very friendly
Pros: Staff was friendly.
Pros: All needed amenities in room. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Pet policy price is too high.
Pros: Hotel is very clean and very nice. I stayed on Dec. 23 on my way to my parent's house for the holidays and it was so nice that I booked this hotel again on my way back home after Christmas.
Cons: It was much louder staying on New Year's Eve then when I had stopped the week before, but I think that would be expected anywhere for a busy holiday, not necessarily the hotel's fault.

A great choice for a stay in Alsip, DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Alsip offers a free airport shuttle at scheduled times. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool or grab a bite to eat at Allgauers Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a fitness center are other highlights, and rooms offer LCD TVs and room service.
Pros: Efficient front desk--handled all my request quickly. Found closest Doc In the box for me.
Pros: Good price for the room. They have a free continental breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable with nice furnishings and HBO. There is an airport shuttle, which I recommend because...
Cons: They charge ALL hotel guests $17 daily to park a car. They should only charge people who park and fly. The location is near railroad tracks. The noise is not obnoxious, but noticeable.
Pros: Had to pay for parking when the area is not luxery or in an area that most hotels would ask their guest to pay for parking. My son was in a room that was still being renovated. There was no toilet just the sink and shower. Parking was $17 thats ridiculous.....

Pros: I liked our room location on the first floor right across from breakfast and right next to the pool. The breakfast was delicious and the eating area was very clean and nice. Staff was nice.
Cons: It was a little noiser being in that room location. Our room smelled like a sweaty foot. Like it was damp in there. After being in there for a min. you didn't notice it.
Pros: Very friendly staff. Comfy beds and pillows. Clean rooms. A/c and heat worked prefectly which doesn't happen all that often. Good water pressure in the shower.
Cons: The hotel is right next to a highway which we didn't mind, and they also provided earplugs. What I didn't like is that our room was literally right next to the pool and vending machines. We were woke up pretty early by screaming (laughing) kids and loud talkers and the clanging of the vending machine.
If we'd had another room it would have been a very good experience. It was fine for one night but I wouldn't have stayed more than that in that particular room.
Pros: Courteous staff provided easy check-in and check-out. Complied with my request for an upper floor room farthest from the expressway. Clean, spacious room with comfortable beds, frig, microwave, work station with rolling laptop desk. Spacious bathroom with excellent water pressure.
Cons: Oddly uneven heights of the two beds in the room. One was a few inches lower than the other.
