El Colibri Hotel Spa is a luxury California hotel that combines the best of a boutique hotel with that of a world-class spa. The hotel is conveniently located near Moonstone beach but retains a secluded, exclusive feel as an escape from the ordinary. Visitors at El Colibri are welcome to just stay at the hotel or only visit the spa, but a comprehensive combo package is the best way to experience this unique destination.

El Colibri Hotel Spa has both guest rooms and suites available to stay in. Guest rooms can be reserved in either dual queen or single king layouts, whereas suites offer only a single king option. Both are incredibly comfortable, but the suites offer the added advantage of a separate living area and wet bar. Both types of room layout come with complimentary wifi, Bottega bathroom amenities, soft bathrobes and more.

The main reason people visit El Colibri is for the Nest Spa. This amazing spa experience can be enjoyed solo or with someone special. The Nest Spa has several different programs and services to relax guests and reinvigorate them during their stay. Spa guests can enjoy a Swedish massage, aromatherapy, warm stone treatments, and deep tissue massages. Guests can also opt for the Signature treatment, which is an all-day affair of customized pampering using all of the services available. Guests can also stop by the sauna and steam room any time they want, no appointment necessary. Spa visitors will also find an oversized jacuzzi that is ideal for a relaxing soak after a long day.

Pros (+) Right next to the sea with a boardwalk starting just 100m away from the hotel. The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons (-) The bar was limited but had a very good selection of wine.
