Pros (+) We really liked the location, clean, spacious two-bedroom suites, friendly, helpful staff and city view. Breakfast was excellent. We booked our tours with the the In-house travel shop and were within walking distance of the hop on hop off bus and an African crafts market. Restaurants as suggested by the staff were excellent. Having a clothes washer was a big assist
Cons (-) No major issues. Rooms were a little worn but very clean.
Pros (+) Rooms are beautiful with fantastic views. Gym access was great.
Cons (-) WiFi was TERRIBLE!!!! If you need reliable internet access, this is not the place, the signal is poor, access is difficult and limited. If this was corrected, Madela Rhodes would be a superb hotel.
Pros (+) The location was very good and the rooms themselves were really nice. It felt like a spacious 1 bedroom/studio apartment and it was awesome to have a kitchen (although we intended to use it we didn't, the restaurants are great and affordable)
Cons (-) The WIFI connection is very slow. This seems to be an issue in South Africa at times, but it was incredibly bad at times. It would take several minutes just to load e-mail. Also, there was no fitness center there. We were given cards to go to a local gym around the corner, we did that one day and then one of the security staff told me they had made a mistake and we weren't allowed. I asked other m...
