the service level of the owner and the employees is very good; the hotel infrastructure reflects recent investments, nevertheless the rooms are cosy and old-fashioned style, the site is in roughly equal distance to Kylemore Abbey, Cleggan, Clifden, (air)port to the Aran Islands, Galway (on the way Glengowla mine and Aughnanure castle) => just perfect in Connemara
you have to accept the remoteness of Carna Bay itself (it's more a '+' than a '-')
Was made feel really at home, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food excellent.
have stayed several times always find it relaxing and very welcoming
I could bring my dog into the common areas of the hotel
The breakfast and it not served in the main dining room.
The homely atmosphere of the hotel and the fact that Carna Bay was not a real tourist town
