Pros: Great location, 20 minutes walk from Slieve League, great breakfast, very friendly people, everything clean … just go there, you won't regret.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is by far the best bnb we have stayed in. The location couldn’t have been better- 2mins to slieve, rooms were very comfortable, pristine and spacious with plenty of storage. I was very very happy to finally get a shower with good water. Ken and his team were friendly, very responsive and we felt really taken care of.. Was happy to see a swing set in the yard for kids to enjoy... the property is well lighted in the evenings and has nice seating area outside to enjoy scenic beauty that lies literally outside your windows. We absolutely loved our stay here ... and were genuinely surprised by the modest price for this experience...! Would recommend this place to others!

Cons: Clean and beautiful room, the host is kind and the position of the b&b is perfect for visiting the cliff. Great breakfast too!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location couldn't be closer to the cliffs! Great check in experience with the friendly host. We drove past the lower gate to the upper (very limited) parking half way up the cliffs. From that point the trail along the cliffs was an easy and scenic hike. Breakfast was custom prepared and was delicious. A shout out to the staff at The Rusty Mackeral, where we were treated to a great evening of food, drinks and live music!

Pros: Spotlessly clean, breakfast was lovely and Theresa was very welcoming
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Teresa friendly & helpful & made us feel welcome.
Cons: More choice of breakfasts. Shower too high to reach & no shower hats anyway. A hand held shower would be easier to manage. Noisy first night from 2 other guests above who fortunately left early next day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast and we were made feel so welcome. We will definitely be back. Thanks Teresa.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious airy and clean with a great power shower. Room was coolish when we arrived and host put heat on which was lovely! Tea and coffee facilities in room.
Cons: Boiler type humming noise evident which stopped around 11pm. There appeared to be a communal lounge but we didn’t realise this until the next morning!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and great cooked breakfast. Very clean and tidy.would stay again. We booked a budget room well it was better the budget super for the price.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: very nice, great host
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely B and B in the quaint and quiet village of Kilcar. The lodge is located next to a beautiful bubbling river which offers a lovely spot for viewing and soothing sounds for sleep. The hostess is an accomodating and kind host who cooked a great breakfast. Kilcar is a small place--plenty of pubs and home to a very friendly ("Come meet the weavers") hand-weaving workshop and for-sale shop. We went to another town for dinner, and only a 5-minute rive away. Great facilities and grand location. We would definitely stay here again. A hidden gem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved Teresa’s hospitality and get anything for you. I loved selection of breakfast cereals and big breakfast. Big pots of tea made a great start to day. Beautiful community garden next door for everyone to use.
Cons: It would have been good if in Kilcar town there was somewhere to eat in evening. There used to be an outstanding restaurant Teach Bain years ago but alas no more. We went to Carrick for evening meals.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast cooked to order .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful peaceful location.Host Frank so kind and helpful and creates a really friendly atmosphere. Ended up chatting to all the other guests, far nicer experience than an impersonal hotel. Will hopefully be back. Well worth the drive!

Pros: Its lovely place, beautiful viev, Frank is very friendly, I will be back again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Frank was a fabulous host, most knowledgeable and helpful and we loved the chats by the fireside (Yes, in July!)
Cons: I would have preferred a double bed or twin room to a bunk bed but the beds were very comfortable regardless
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location beside one of the most beautiful and remote beaches in lreland. Iovely friendly, clean and quiet hostel. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very special - good hostel in rural area, very nice landowner, sitting at the fireplace with us in the evening. Nice rooms with bedsheets, cooking facilities available, short walk to the beach, we loved it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Not my first visit to this hostel and I will definitely be back. Amazing place, just a few minutes walk away to Silver Strand, a place of quiet and beauty. I especially love the common room with fireplace and sofas, it feels so comfy and allows you to socialize with other guests. Frank, the owner, is great!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really nice purpose built hostel with a gorgeous view of the Atlantic. Close to a beautiful beach. Our double room was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Best shower in Ireland. Frank, the owner, is a great guy who's nice to chat to. If you get lucky like us you can eat dinner & breakfast outside in the sun overlooking the fields & ocean. Out of 8 hostels in Ireland this is easily the best and also one of the cheapest.
Cons: Only bad thing is no WiFi or even phone service. But as long as you know in advance its fine. Its nice to have a night off from the phone & just relax in nature

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The O'Neill B&B is in a great location to reach Slieve League, which far exceeds the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher (and is far less crowded). It is a true B&B, with the owners renting out 2 rooms in their own home. We had great conversations and learned a lot about life in County Donegal. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful; in fact, my husband thinks the porridge was one the best during our trip.
Cons: Everything was nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners could not have been nicer. Breakfast was great. Adjusted it to our wishes. Arraigned for a taxi to pick us up at a specific time. Everything very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were kindly welcomed by the host and this accommodation has everything you need and is located close to the Slieve League and other beautiful spots at the Wild Atlantic Coastal Route and in the larger Donegal Bay. The room was large, the beds were perfect and the breakfast was delicious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. Right across from a small river with a bridge crossing to the path into town. Short walk to several choices for food and drink. Post office in town also. Lots of sheep and lambs in the area for photos. Easy drive to Killybegs if looking for larger town. Very close to great hikes, including Slieve League cliff path that dwarfs the Cliffs of Moher - plus it is not crowded if you go a bit past the lookout area at Bunglas parking lot. Also, great hike (Tower Loop) near Glencolumbkille. Host was so helpful, friendly, yet not intrusive. Spotless room and bathroom. Windows open for cross breezes. Breakfast cooked to order - whatever you like. Great stay, especially for cost. Would stay here again.
Cons: Very little to dislike about this place. Maybe a fluffier pillow if I had to come up with something!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The host was very friendly
Cons: It was very clost to Slieve League
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brid's home was beautiful and very clean. We were very comfortable in our room (myself, my husband and our 2 daughters). We had a beautiful view of the fields and mountainside through our skylight window (which also had a blackout shade making it easy to sleep in when desired). The breakfasts were delicious and prepared for us individually. Best of all, Brid and her husband Gabriel gave great advice on local places to go and things to do. Their home is located very close to Slieve League which is absolutely gorgeous and the highlight of our trip to Ireland. We also enjoyed several hours at a beautiful beach called Silver Strand and in Ardara where there was a fiddle festival. We all agreed Brid & Gabriel's hospitality was among the warmest we encountered in all of of Ireland.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome from the land lady's son. Very helpful, great comfort and breakfast, and very clean
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The B&B is located across from a river. With the window open at nice, it’s a soothing sound to fall asleep to.
Cons: The beds were mildly uncomfortable. But if you spend your days walking about, hiking the ‘steep’ side of Slieve League, you’ll easily fall asleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: clean, bright room , super comfy bed, excellent breakfast. Super nice hostess. Would stay again
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to Slieve League was fantastic ..breakfast was good.. very friendly owners ..close to eating places & quiet location
Cons: Had to wait quite a while to get some hot water for a shower but it was hot & strong when it got there... need to keep windows closed at night because of midgies .. otherwise very comfortable

6.3 Good
Pros: The location is very good as regards the amazing beach but the B&B itself is very remote. Nowhere to go locally for food or a drink, without having to drive to a town
Cons: It felt more like going to stay in the home of strangers. Boundaries between a B&B and staying in someone’s home very blurred - we almost felt like intruders. In the morning when we left our bedroom to go down for breakfast we had to walk past the owners’ bedroom. The door was wide open, unmade bed etc. Also, when we arrived, we could hardly get through the hall and up the stairs for kid’s toys everywhere - very untidy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very nice stay ...

Pros: Location for slieve league, arrived on a lashing wet sunday to a warm welcome, cosy room, and comfortable lounge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay, friendly and very helpful hosts
4.5 Okay
Cons: We arrived late due to weather condition and unexpected traffic detours due to a major golf tournament. The hosts were very upset. Said "we have a life too". In our opinion, if you run a business you have to expect obstacles. The rooms need major improvements. Some tiles to the washroom were loose and a hazard. We left early and didn't stay for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Big room; comfortable bed; TV; pub downstairs and nice breakfast and friendly staff. They also had a good room for my bicycle.

Cons: Great staff, location and value for money. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was clean and provided self-catering facilities which was a bonus. The location was perfect for Slieve League and surrounding area

Pros: Good value for money. Nice wee rooms over the pub / restaurant. Some shops directly opposite of the house. Good breakfast. There's a lovely walkway at the river close by, even with a brand new outdoor gym. Just a couple of minutes drive to Slieve League.
Cons: You'll hear the live music from the pub so clearly you can understand every word they sing. Also the snoring from people in the next room. So if you're looking for a very quiet accommodation, this is probably not the right one for you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and spacious rooms, great hosts and a nice wee pub downstairs with well poured pints and a fine selection of whiskey ;) gave us free crisps as well so cheers to that
Cons: For the price facilities and location I really couldn’t complain at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb! You're minutes away from the cliffs or loads of great beaches and adventures. The benefit of the pub downstairs is wonderful as well. Excellent staff, stellar food (don't miss the breakfast, superb!), and all around great craic for exceptional value. One of the best ways to visit SW Donegal and have a roaring good time. Highly recommended!
Cons: Literally nothing... I was so wonderfully surprised as the low price is not indicative of the excellent food, location, accommodation and staff. I just wished I could have stayed longer!

Cons: Can be a bit noisy at the weekend
