9.6 Excellent
Pros: Sophia welcomed us so warmly to the most wonderful house. The photo doesn't do it justice as the gardens are in full bloom now. The house itself is amazing and we had a lovely room. Breakfast was excellent and Ana a superb lady supervising the breakfast. She bakes delicious pastries for the menu as well. I'd have stayed there for longer if I could and I'd definitely go back.
Cons: It's just our thing but we would like a kettle in the room. I can't say I didn't like it because everything else was great.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Carlos and his wife were incredibly welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The guesthouse is beautiful, we are so glad we chose to stay here instead of a hotel. Its is peaceful and tranquil and close enough to get taxis to everywhere you want to go around to do sightseeing. We would love to come back. The housekeeping was impeccable - the staff were so attentive and even offered to iron some of our clothes for us. The breakfast was fresh! Carlos and his wife have great recommendations for things to see and do locally and very kindly helped to organise our surfing experience. They have a lovely garden and warm swimming pool. They also have 2 gorgeous and friendly dogs and cats (away from the guests). It was so homely and one of the best places we have ever stayed in !!! Thank you so much.. see you next time !

Cons: Nothing to fault them on
7.1 Good
Pros: The view was amazing and a good breakfast. Lovely staff too.
Cons: Hotel needs updating as furnishings in rooms very tired. Very expensive to eat and drink there. The pool area has so many umbrellas which are massve in a small area so you keep having to move around as you get staded by other people's umbrellas. No consideration for those who enjoy the sun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A unique luxury hotel. Beautiful ocean view from the terrace on the sixth floor (water and cookies available in the afternoons), from same rooms and from the great outdoor pool. Room very large and comfortable. A large bottle of water is available each day of the stay. Breakfast varied and healthy. Champagne, fresh fruit, tasty pastries and regional products available at breakfast. Service extremely nice, friendly, helpful and very communicative. Coffee and tea with real cinnamon available in the room. Goodnight chocolates delivered in the evenings. Towels changed twice a day. Large and pleasant indoor pools, especially with salt water. Outdoor pool very large, although the water is rather cool. Beautiful lobby. Very nice TV room with a bookcase. Wonderful flowers everywhere and cozy alleys to rest. Beautiful interior furnishings. Great scenic elevators. Wonderful breakfast service. Breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace with a beautiful ocean view. An employee serving coffee to tables extremely nice and professional. A welcome drink with snacks - very successful. Goodbye wine with cookies also. The highest level, unforgettable memories, worth in every respect.
Cons: Nothing. Alternatively, the opening hours of the indoor pools could be extended to nine in the evening. It is a pity that the hotel has no bikes for guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The buffet restaurant was fantastic in terms of quality of food and value. The local restaurants are very expensive and the food offer is average. The pools and use of the Holmes Place gym were first class and spotlessly clean. All the staff go out of their way to help.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hostel is picture perfect. The vibe is awesome, everyone staying here was so friendly and sociable so it would be a great place for single travellers to make friends. Laura, the owner, is incredibly friendly and generous, and really wants you to have an awesome stay. The volunteers were also super helpful and nice. Thank you for an awesome stay - hopefully nos vemos pronto! ;)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked all the facilities, the place is amazing the vibe is very good ...
Cons: The only thing I didn't like is that you can't cook before 1pm, so if you're used to making breakfast eggs while you're staying you'll have to choose other things to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: *great location, next to the forrest, walking distance to the Guincho beach *great range of activities offered by the hostel *good facilities, you can easily rinse & dry your wetstuit
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great; yoghurt, fruit, cereals, milk, bread, butter, jam, etc. No meat or cheese, but you can get all these things from local markets that are close-by (one across the street, another at about 15min by foot). I loved the staff. Laura and Valentina are a great time; very welcoming, warm, and fun to be around. They were also helpful in driving me around to activities, booking the taxi to the airport, and other short trips I needed to make. The activities there are also a great bonus. I only tried surfing, but there is yoga (studio in the house!), rock climbing, wind surfing, etc. Definitely something to do every day and for every taste. The beach is not next to the house (about 20 minutes walk), but I enjoyed this. It's a nice walk through the woods, and a nice meditation on your way to the beach. The view from the balcony is also a big plus; you get to enjoy the mountain and the beach at the same time. Great job, girls. Would definitely return.
Cons: The shower downstairs has a bit of a delay for hot water but it was not a big problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is perfectly situated for running in Sintra, reaching Lisbon and water for Kite, Wind surfing or just Surfing. The entire place is spotless. Laura and Valentina my hosts during the stay where super helpful. The place is really relaxed, tried Yoga for the first time. Wow that stuff is hard, but I like that its good. They also can arrange rock climbing and many other things. Nice breakfast too. Many thanks xx

Pros: The place was really nice and relaxed, its good if you want to be in the nature or so kitesurfing and surfing. Nice atmosphere.
Cons: It's not central if you want to go to lisbon and Cascais. It's good to have a car or go by Uber.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super nice staff really focused on your needs. Perfect place for visitors that are searching for good vibes
Cons: My stay there was too short!

Pros: The room is clean and quiet. The attendant is very kindness and lovely The breakfast is fine The location is good
Cons: I would suggest scramble eggs and bacon for breakfast And something to support shampoo and personal soap
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was tasty
Cons: The lady at breakfast was rude to me and my friend- she had a lot of chat for other guests and was very animated when she spoke with them. With us, she was cold and rude, she made us feel uncomfortable.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is pretty and the location is excellent, in a quiet neighborhood but close by the local attractions. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good with several options.
Cons: We booked a suite but as an "upgrade", they assigned us a quad room, with a queen bed and 2 bunk beds. The room was nice and clean, but we didnt like the bathroom. It looked like a locker room: 3 showers and 2 toilets, all in the same facility. I believe this was the hostel's type of room which we didn't book.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, the staff utterly accommodating, beaches within walkable distance (7 mins to the closest city beach) and the center with various restaurants nearby - we had a great stay.
Cons: My only suggestion: the pool is rather small and not warmed. It serves especially for a quick dip, but since the water is cool guests are not inclined to use it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This stay was beyond our expectation. We directly felt at home when we were welcomed by the owner. They were kind & really helpful. The property is wonderful. The location is close to the centre, in a calm street. It is perfect. The breakfast was awesome. Pasteis de Nata, pie, salty or sweet, you choose. Enjoying this breakfast on their terrasse was peaceful. I recommend this place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Trendy, Beautiful and very clean
Cons: The only thing is the bed on top of me was making lots of noise and the woman was moving a lot.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing experience!!! I was surprised as it wasn’t expensive and looked too good to be true online. The hotel is in the center of town and our room had a lovely little balcony we could sit on and drink wine and watch everyone walk by and enjoy the coffee shops and wine bars downstairs. The hotel staff were so friendly! They went out of their way to make a chai tea I wanted because they didn’t want me to have cold milk. I was so taken aback by the kindness and hospitality. Don’t hesitate to book - you won’t regret it and it’s an awesome and affordable way to experience cascais!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Charming family run large house with pool. Really relaxing and very comfortable. Attention to detail in every aspect. The breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended.
Cons: Location not ideal, 10/15 minutes walk from centre of Cascais.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: All round a high quality experience. Very comfortable accommodation with well trained and attentive staff. Great bedroom, excellent facilities, calm and relaxed atmosphere in a very upmarket, residential neighborhood. Generous, nourishing breakfast included. Best for mature couples with two or more nights to spend in Cascais.
Cons: It’s situated too far from the beachfront action and requires a taxi ride each way. You can walk the approximately two kilometers but it’s not interesting and there’s not much en route. That’s not a real disadvantage considering the high quality of the accomodation and the outstanding service of Uber, but bear that in mind. The bedroom is not equipped with tea and coffee making facilities or a bar fridge and the addition of these small comforts would be an advantage.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Being able to walk to downtown - less than half an hour. Quiet. Great amenities, including a pool area. We had a nice port wine tasting during happy hour.good
Cons: Nothing. Everything was fine.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous villa, breakfast was delicious staff were so friendly and helpful
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities in room. A little too far from town for walking
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful house and lovely pool. Great place if you need a break from a day sightseeing, to come back to a beautiful garden and lay on the comfy sun beds at the pool. Breakfast options are good and tasty.
Cons: We arrived at 13h00 at the property and were welcomed by a lovely lady, who informed us that our room wasn't ready yet. We expected that, so we left our bagages at the reception, were given the key to the room and continued our day. About 6 hours later we can back to find our bagages still at the reception, it would have been nice gesture if they were brought to our room, but it was probably a misunderstanding at our end. We booked the Twin room, but I do not recommend it. It's not in the main house and you have the feeling of sleeping in a garden shed. We obviously booked this room knowing this, but it was still a bit of a disappointment especially for the price we paid (€183 a night). The room was small and felt a bit damp. The floor of the bathroom needs a re-do because you can see where people walked as it is discoloured. I won't say dirty because our room was cleaned daily, but it gives this impression. Especially to see the marks where people put their feet when sitting on the toilet is not very appealing... We've had 2 occasions when we turned on the shower a foul smell came out of the shower drain. Didn't report this because I saw it was reported by another guests on the internet, and assumed nothing would change anyway. One morning around 9am we were surprised by the music played on a big speaker next to our room. I'd advise to move the speaker, as not everyone might appreciate to have a speaker next to their room. Overall we didn't have a great experience and unfortunately won't come back. We didn't feel the warmth of a guesthouse. Upon check-out we were bringing some of our bagages to the car before doing the checkout as we had quite a few bagages, where the hostess came "running after us" saying that we still needed to check-out. We got the impression she thought we were leaving without checking out... Not a great feeling to leave with.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing environment. Good service . Clean . Good breakfast and food. Hosts do everything to make live comfortable .
Cons: Sometimes it ook some time to get thins done but this is probable that we are coming from hectic working environment where things have to be done immidiately. Pool could be heated with solar energy to make it possible to swim even in colder periods. Will be appreciated by several guest during our stay!
5.8 Okay
Pros: breakfast was good, although extra was charged for any coffee not out of coffee flask. It seems that the property wasnt quite as advertised...no free pick-ups from airport...no afternoon teas...no wine tasting or yacht trips available.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were amazing. Friendly and so helpful.
Cons: Was just a little far away from the village and beach.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners with great service , a very nice Boutique hotel with lovely rooms and great pool and living room
Cons: Location at a main road is also during night noisy with open windows . For Cascais city center one needs a car and find a parking space
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A real home from home. We stayed for 3 nights after travelling down from St Malo, France, to visit the Harley Davidson Rally in Cascais. So I was more than pleased when the guest house more than exceeded my expectations. They allowed us to park our motorbikes behind the security gates, which is always a bonus. We had a big comfortable room with big light bathroom. Breakfast was full of choice, and very well presented. What more could you say, everyone made our stay perfect.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Coffee at the breakfast.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Beautiful boutique hotel in an attractively presented villa. Lovely grounds and pool in a great location. Excellent service from management and staff who were always ready to assist. 7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly, the room was spacious, the hotel felt very homely. One day we sat by the pool which was really relaxing, lovely and quiet. We also went to the beach which wa dab out a 5-7 minute walk, the town is also very close. We would happily recommend to our friends and we can’t wait to return.
Cons: It was a little noisy when cars drove by the villa, however this is a very small complaint because everything else about this place was brilliant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In the historic district and very quiet.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location in a beautiful building. Staff couldn’t do enough, food and drink standards were high. Great bathroom and awesome shower, and the products smell like a dream! Only small issue was having to use the pool of the sister property, didn’t make this clear when booking that this property has no pool. The pool at the sister hotel is very small and when busy feels very cramped.
Cons: Having to use the pool of the sister hotel which wasn’t as plush and the pool area was small and not as luxurious as the guesthouse.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for short break to attend a wedding. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient but also unobtrusive. The room and bathroom were spotless. Large and comfortable bed with all the amenities that you would expect. Beautiful sea view from our room (room 8) and a 5 minute walk to the beach. We didn’t use the pool at the sister hotel so I cannot comment on that. Breakfast was varied and delicious, especially when taken on the veranda in the sunshine. We have stayed in some much more expensive hotels recently and we enjoyed here far more.
Cons: Coffee making facilities in room would be welcome
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast , location and friendly staff
Cons: the interior design was toooooooo blue~~

Cons: Wi-fi was patchy on the third floor.

Cons: A terrace for our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location / quirky comfortable modern And tastefully decorated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a super location. We were in 1 min at the beach, but also at the places that needed to be visited like the lighthouse, the Duke’s house etc. Plenty of really good restaurants around the corners and a wonderful walk to Estoril. We were even able to use the swimming pool from their other hotel close by, so don’t let it be that to stop you from staying at this one. Super yummy breakfast & food for the ones interested.
Cons: The parking was a challenge due to some town hall changes but we parked at the Largo da Estação
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, obliging ang helpful staff, breakfast and restaurant, quality of linen/towels etc
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a perfect location in Cascais surrounded by restaurants and bars with lovely views over the harbour. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It is expensive to stay and probably not up to 5 stars. Tea and Coffee facilities are not in your room they are in the hallway - Tea bags only. Taxis booked via reception are by private limo and very expensive.
6.7 Good
Pros: Quaint, clean/elegant and great location
7.0 Good
Pros: We thought we had booked the Hotel Albatroz so the Villa and its location was a big disappointment. However the staff made us most welcome. The bed was most uncomfortable and the room not quite what we expected. However we did enjoy our stay.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing special, maybe the location and the breakfast. People in receptio were nice.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Central location by the seaside.Villa Albatroz is the sister hotel of Hotel Albatroz and therefor allows access to the pool of Hotel Albatroz where one can relax when the beaches are too crowded and/or too hot. There one can have lunch as well, with a fantastic view to the sea and beaches.
Cons: Villa Albatroz is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, but I expect a few of those stars are "inherited" from Hotel Alabtroz. It has a good location but unless you get a discount it's not good value for money. Our room was a Standard Double with Sea View, but you had to stretch your neck to see the sea. Most rooms do not have a balcony. Breakfast was a bit dull as well.
6.0 Good
Pros: Service was very good. Location was excellent.
Cons:
7.2 Good
Pros: High degree of servises.
Cons: No.
5.6 Okay
Pros: Good staff and location
Cons: Standard of decoration was fair, given the 5 star rating this was poor.
5.2 Okay
Pros: The view and the quality of food
Cons: The noise outside and the lack of modern facilities
7.2 Good
Pros: the ^restaurant was very good - they have an excellent chef who creates innovative cuisie with local ingredients The wines offered were excellent. The staff were friendly and helful and I felt like I was known there rather than room number one - take the room 1 as it has a small balcony and you can hear the waves from the beach - it was very comfortable.
Cons:

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: Missing a swimming pool!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing! My second time back, and I strongly suspect there will be a third.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Historic building. The beach at Guincho. Excellent restaurant Motivated and happy staff. Bicycles provided by hotel. Location right on the water. Secluded balconies with Seaview
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything and everyone was amazing. Accomodations were well appointed with thoughtful attention to details retaining he integrity and timelessness of another era. The grounds and beach were spectacular and a dune walk on the other side of the street is a must. Great place!!!
Cons: Getting lost on a narrow roads due to inaccuracy of GPS from Lisbon.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The restaurant (1 star Michelin). The staff in reception (Diogo, superb).
Cons: The room was old. A small window cramped by a hotel parasoles. A pity with such a beautiful surrounding.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We love the location and our room, what a beautiful place with amazing views.
Cons: We were excited about the property being relais and chateau and did the 3 hours experience dining. Beautiful presentation but food was not up to our expectation. The price was a bit high compare to similar dining experience that we had in Portugal in terms of value.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staying in a fort on the coast was pretty cool. The staff were amazing and the service was great throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, with a view of waves crashing on the rocks. We also ate dinner at the restaurant one evening which was particularly special. One thing that we particularly loved was how focussed the hotel and restaurant are on local, seasonal, portugese produce and products. Ir's a short walk to the beach so that was the main attraction - without a car there's really not anything else you could do here (it's a hard life).
6.3 Good
Pros: Fantastic location by the sea
Cons: Not up to the standards of a five star hotel. They were supposed to tell us when the room is ready but forgot. Bathrooms had shower in a bathtub. One male waiter in the bar disappeared, we waited for 30 min for someone to take the order. I was sick from the food in the bar that we had in the evening.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and really cool old fort that has been restored. The staff was amazing and we ate Dinner at the restaurant and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Also the breakfast was awesome.
Cons: There’s not much around the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything was just perfect: the happiness of our arrival, we felt expected, true sympathy on attendance, the brief they gave us about accommodations, amenities and history, the cleanness of all areas, including the room, the various offers they gave us (water, fruit and a Porto wine bottle) make us felt special. The special offer they gave us after knowing that we were celebrating 25 years of marriage was unexpected but delightful. About the room, we could dance inside! Awesome!
Cons: We understand that is very difficult to preserve the face of the hotel when You are so close to the shore (100mt), but for an 5* Hotel, it is expected that exterior windows are to be more carefully maintained. Also bathroom marble furniture would require a more dedicated attention or it will start lose his beauty. Nothing to worry much but we are talking about a 5* hotel with all glamour that we see on pictures.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location - lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Hotel is in a quite area. Easy to get to places of interest as day trips.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely and kindly arranged an early check in. Breakfast is fantastic and the cake in the afternoon and the honesty bar were both lovely touches. Gardens are stunning. It’s an easy walk in to town but just far enough away for peace and quiet.
Cons: Rooms were pleasant but a little more attention to detail would make them outstanding
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful and the garden was delightful. It was about a 10 minute walk into historic Cascais. There was free home made cake and coffee on offer every day.
Cons: We were lucky to get a parking spot outside the garage for free but otherwise your car is on a meter. It was quite expensive but then Cascais is an expensive place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The attention at reception The common areas and facilities The swimming pool and jacuzzi The multiple gardens The garden room with private garden
9.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was extraordinary. The pools were lovely. The staff at the kids club could not possibly been better. My kids genuinely raced each other to arrive their each day, and had no hesitation staying there without us. This is absolutely the perfect vacation for a family with young kids.
Cons: We didn't love the dinner at the restaurants but this is possibly because we are vegetarian and had fewer options. The children did love the pizza.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is really made for kids! The staff is super prepared to deal with the parents and the kids and the premise is amazing! Truly recommend to any family, spcially smaller kids.
Cons: Really nothing. If to say something, only as a recommendation, the floor of the bathrooms in the suites are quite slippery, not only for the kids but also for adults. And, maybe the restaurant could have better options with a more reasonable prices.
7.1 Good
Pros: Rooms were spacious and an easy 30 minute drive from Lisbon
Cons: Some of the furniture in the room showed clear signs of wear and tear. Also, for a family friendly resort, not opening the main pool area before 11am is somewhat bizarre
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very much liked the What’s App concierge, just text for everything, no need to call reception. Kids loved the playground. Kids Club also very nice. Villa is great.
Cons: nothing
9.2 Excellent
Cons: A little too pricey
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly. Very easy holiday with children. Very comfortable beds. Good lunch options.
Cons: Restaurant food in evenings could be improved.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Perfect and second time being there for us. Thanks everybody!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel for families - facilities are extensive. The pools, kids club, activity ranges made for a varied and exiting plan each day for parents and kids alike. accommodation was fantastic. Staff very friendly and attentive. Great place. Great location near Cascais town, near to Lisbon and many other attractions
Cons: perhaps a bit more promptness is service around the pool restaurant and breakfast. perhaps a bit more thoroughness in the extent to which the room was cleaned. but i'm really being pedantic here!
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice for families with children, lots to do. Good food and attentive personnel.
Cons: Evening before arrival I received an email. The villa that we booked and paid for in advance was not available. We got connecting rooms in stead. Together with apologies they offered us the rooms for their normal price which was cheaper than the villa. Only after getting quite upset they offered half board as compensation. Could be an incident, but still unacceptable for me. We book our summer holiday very long in advance to get the nice places and this was a big disappointment. The rooms are quite noisy, combined with all the lovely babies in the building you should expect to hear your neighbors.
7.1 Good
Pros: It was a nice and comfortable place for staying
Cons: There is the SPA area was so noisy. It was only one quiet place in the hotel where guests who are traveling without children have a rest. The hotel have a lot facilities for families with children. I’m traveling with my 17-year old child and we didn’t find place for relax.

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: In general, I did not like Portugal and this hostel, the Lisbon airport is dirty, like in third world countries like in Afghanistan or Gabon countries of Africa, we were kept standing by the plane for an 2 hour, dirt and stink of urine everywhere, a lot of beggars and homeless people and prostitutes on the streets of Lisbon. I was more tired of this hell made by man than rested. beautiful but at the same time gloomy and not friendly girls at the reception desk. I do not advise anyone
Cons: In a room for 10 people I could not get enough sleep because there were a lot of constantly drunk Germans and a woman who was constantly chirping for 7 days, the hostel is located close to shops but it’s hard to walk because it is constantly going up the mountain and from the mountain, the ocean is cold, more to Portugal I will not go it is dirty and not worth the money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Staff, beautiful garden, great location!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are very friendly good atmosphere strong recommended
Cons: I have to stay only one day, I would like to stay more
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We rented a private room and we had so much space. It was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the big beautiful house and garden were a pleasure to enjoy. The staff was very accommodating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing! So kind and friendly. Exceptional service. Our child had a bed wetting accident and they cleaned everything (even mattress) without embarrassing us. The facilities were so pretty. The pool was cold but refreshing. The outdoor garden was warm and welcoming. It's a small walk up from the train station, but in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. Breakfast was awesome (breads, cereals, meat and cheeses, eggs and juice). Apples, oranges, and water available throughout day. Place in fridge to store own food and access to kitchen to cook whatever you'd like. Accesible to grocery stores and restaurants.
Cons: Having a fan in the room would help with air circulation.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very clean, comfortable and cozy. The pool was great and even had floats, which is great especially for children. I requested vegan breakfast options and they had many, so thank you for that important detail :) The hostel is less than 10min walk from the beach and Cascais 'downtown', which was a very good location from my point of view.
Cons: We asked for some fresh drink/cocktail, like Caipirinha (because there were limes, sugar, etc) at the bar but there were only pre-made drinks as options, like bottled juices, beer and water. None of the employees present at the time knew how to make a different fresh drink, so there could have been made better use of the bar.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I loved the pool, garden area, and breakfast!
Cons: The ten bed dorm got a little hot at times
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The initial welcome by a young lady called Maria was exceptional. She is a wonderful asset to the whole happy helpful team. First impressions make a big difference and this hostel is excellent. The breakfast and facilities are boutique hotel standard.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host is very friendly and extremely helpful, always available to support and give tips. I highly recommend the place.

Pros: Great location, fab pool overlooking the ocean, great breakfasts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff, super helpful. Beautiful hotel in a great location, overall fantastic experience
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There were many beautiful memories about this hotel. The hotel itself is wonderful, the location and views are fantastic, the staff were absolutely great in every way, from the reception to the porter to the restaurant staff. Always charming and happy to help, always smiling. The room was a good size, the bed comfortable and a good sized terrace. The complimentary Port separated this hotel from the rest of the 5 star hotels we stayed in during our tour of Portugal. Breakfast had a great selection and all good quality, the bar and restaurant were also good. A 5 star service yet informal enough to feel relaxed. Close enough to the train station for a slow but easy connection to Lisbon and free parking. Very family friendly, plenty of high chairs, kids slippers and wash kit in the room, cot bed setup on arrival. The restaurant also specifically bought in Penne pasta to replace the spaghetti and tagliatelle usually offered to accommodate our 18 month old little girl.
Cons: Very little to dislike. The hotel over-looks communal areas by the beach which attract noisy teens on an evening. They can be loud but the sound-proofing from the windows was good. Not the fault of the hotel of course. There was also no iron available for the room and I personally found 20 euros for 3 items of clothing pretty steep although the ironing we did have done was finished quickly and to a good standard.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at The Hotel Albatroz. The room was beautiful with amazing views. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decor, super comfortable, great amenities, awesome WiFi, lovely restaurant, perfect location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous hotel right at Praia da Rainha. We're giving a first floor room with access to the pool which was great for my daughter. Beautiful views of the beach and Cascais sky at night. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants, stores. Room was super clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. It was my wedding anniversary, and the hotel sent us champagne and strawberries. Everyone was super attentive and we felt like celebrities. Thank you Albatroz Hotel.
Cons: The ocean water was freezing in August. Not the hotel fault.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view was terrific and the room was goegeous
Cons: The staff were not always helpful and a bit stuffy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great with a fantastic view of the beach /sea. Hotel location was great, with good access to the town and train station for exploring Lisbon.
Cons: Everything was great - no comments
6.8 Good
Pros: location breakfast
Cons: bedroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing. Breakfast was wonderful, highlight of every mornings. The view at breakfast can’t be beat
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located in Cascais with immediate beach access. Train station (for connecting to central Lisbon) 1 minute walk away and local shopping & restaurant area adjacent to hotel. Sufficiently small (60 rooms) to treat its guests as individuals and sufficiently large to provide the services a 5*-hotel should.. The staff is very friendly and guest-focused and combine professional and personal warmth. Will happily return not only as a business-visitor but also for private visits.
Cons:
4.7 Okay
Pros: The view from the hotel terraces is superior.
Cons: We have received a room that had a superior view over a city but was located next to huge airconditioning units for the hotel and whole shopping mall located on floors below the hotel (literally 10 meters on the same level/ level below). Therefore romantic nights on the tarace where not with city background noise but with quite dominant "pumping" noise of the airconditioning station units. We don't smoke and the fact that next to our terrace was a terrace used by staff to have a cigarette breaks was also a minus. Service was not at the level you expect from the boutique hotel e.g. we were not informed about dinner arrangements.
7.3 Good
Pros: Wonderful ambience and unobrtrusive service.
Cons: No
7.7 Good
Pros: Spectacular hotel, very special with uninterrupted views, felt very spoilt for the few days we were there.Food was excellent and not overpriced for such quality, service and most importantly view...
Cons: Pool small and railing around edge of cliff face should have vertical rails not horizontal rails.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb ,with amazing views and only a few seconds stroll to shops and restaurants. train staion very handy for going into lisbon. the staff very helpful and courteous. we will return.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great--just a few minutes walk from train station and right on the ocean. There was a beautiful stoned path to walk along the ocean for 30 minutes.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and quality of this hotel are outstanding. It is an expensive hotel but you get good value for money.
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: In nice part of town, friendly atmosphere
Cons: not tempted by the menu in the restaurant, a bit too fancy and service took quite a long time for lunch.

Pros: Everything but especially the staff ...every one of them
Cons: Possibly time for new poolside furniture maybe with cushions on sun loungers
9.6 Excellent
Pros: the hotel was super would go again rooms very good size food and staff wonderful
Cons: a little more space at the beds at the pool
9.1 Excellent
Cons: Ask the price of drinks before you order - can get a little expensive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: the overall appearance of the facility was exactly as expected for 5* hotel.
Cons: If I had to be critical, the service on the terrace on a couple of occasions could have been faster - comment not a criticism.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent and professionally friendly staff (but see below) especially Vanessa and all at breakfast...choice of food amazing
Cons: Belvedere restaurant very disappointing. Went with my husband to celebrate his birthday. The waiter, who was dressed rather casually with his iPhone in his jeans back pocket, seemed generally disinterested in his role. My husband asked for a glass of champagne and the waiter said did he mean Prosecco! I asked for a glass of Rose only to be told that it must be by the bottle. He could simply have gone to the terrace bar for a glass, but chose not to. After our main course we decided to go to the terrace restaurant instead where we were well looked after even though we only had coffee and dessert. We will definitely return to the hotel in future but will give the Belvedere a miss.

Pros: We liked the position and the staff were excellent
Cons: The carpets in the passages need an upgrade
5.4 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: Hotel was shabby, smell of damp and noisy in the late evening. Quite shocked to be charged for the coffee machine in the room... usually complimentary. Room decor was more akin to a hostel than a 5*
8.3 Excellent
Pros: exellent
Cons: the furniture in the room was starting to look tatty
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional staff..so well trained..superb breakfast..amazing fruit platters...crispy bacon.. Honey on the comb.Cute outdoor pool with lovely double sunbeds..location is fantastic..some exceptional restaurants close by ...Lisbon only 50 mins by train..

Pros: Room was great. We paid the extra for the sea view balcony and were pleased we did. Staff were great and very friendly. Great location

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Concierge desk Ms Marta was fantastic and so helpful about things to do
Cons: While driving to hotel. Was lost. Need better signage near the FORT
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent and the design of the hotel was very clean and modern. Liked the turndown service 2 pools was a real bonus. we had lunch in the restaurant in the courtyard which was fantastic
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities in the room, and also no iron, they offer a pressing service but that was expensive 15 Euro for one dress At breakfast the food was uncovered and there were flies on all the pastries - they should cover them! Room was not ready when we arrived at 2.55pm (check in from 3pm!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to the centre of Cascais. Wonderful rooms in this old fort.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Food was OK. There was a bit of a limited choice for the breakfast buffet and the staff did not communicate the fact that you could order eggs however you wanted them. We had a variety dishes from the room service menu and some were better than others. The restaurant opposite the hotel (belonging to the hotel) was excellent. The hotel is very unusual, it is part of the fortress at the top of the hill overlooking the marina. Really beautifully designed with great art and great views.
Cons: It felt like the hotel was trying to be a resort hotel, a city break hotel, and a conference hotel all rolled into one. I think unfortunately it slightly misses the mark on a few things as it struggles to achieve excellence in all three. For example it was a bit lacking in atmosphere for a resort hotel...
6.7 Good
Pros: Centrally located within walking distance to main shops and restaurants. Front desk staff friendly and helpful
Cons: No direct parking access or valet. Crowded breakfast area and plain breakfast offering

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, the quality of the food was superb. The breakfast staff were attentive and professonal. The pool area and pool attendants were also amazing. The lobby area had spectacular Art and was fantastic.
Cons: On arrival the room was not 100 per cent clean however a call to reception resulted in a quick response. We also queried the type of room we had booked but there was no response to this query. The room was pleasant however it had large beams accross the room which made it virtually impossible to get into bed on one side and we had to slide accross the bed to get in!

Pros: The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. They exceeded our expectations and was always there to do the little extra, such as serving cold fruit shots at the pool or helping with printing of boarding passes or sending an iPhone charge we forgot to our home address. Just perfect excellent service

Pros: Spent 7 days at Farol. Very relaxing and fantastic location. Special shout out to Monica on reception. Super efficient and could not do enough regarding reserving restaurants etc. Rooms and views were fantastic.
Cons: Service at breakfast was very stsnd offish and the staff were not forthcoming with breakfast options. You guys are bit stingy with the pool towels. Really should be 2x Per Person
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service and staff just as you would expect for a hotel of this rating.
Cons: Hot breakfast selection was very limited. Who cooks poached eggs and puts them in a warmer? There is a charge 1.0Euro per cup of coffee in your room, very cheeky! The hotel management should think again, particularly when I was told this is a regular guest complaint. So they do know about it. And the real killer when I asked for an additional tea bag for my afternoon tea I was initially charged 4.80Euro!! After some discussion this was removed from my bill.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting of the hotel is breath-taking, only to be matched by the incredible service. A true gem!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The outdoor area and pool are fantastic- great view and setting.
Cons: Shower was one over the bath tub

Pros: Location excellent. Reception staff were extremely helpful
Cons: Pool lunch food wasn't fantastic. Ended up walking to Marina for lunch for final few days. It was not possible for all 4 of us to share one room and the property does not have interconnecting rooms however the hotel were very accommodating with adjoining rooms.

Pros: Loved the location, pool area, convenience to harbour and town centre
Cons: Really missed good tea. From my observations there were quite a number of Irish and English visitors all of whom I am sure would have enjoyed decent tea. Would recommend you rethink your black/english tea selection.
