Pros: We loved everything about this property and the owners Gianni and Silvana too
Cons: this isn’t a complaint just an observation - The bed squeaked a bit so sneaking out of bed to go the bathroom in the middle of the night meant waking up your partner but it wasn’t a big deal truly
Pros: Me and my family really enjoyed the kindness, helpfulness, and welcoming nature of Silvana and Giovanni. The entire place was spotlessly clean, had a lovely breakfast, and the rooms were comfortable and appropriate for our needs. Wish we had stayed for more days!
Cons: Everything was fantastic, truly no complaints.
Pros: Easy location by the station, spectacular views, very kind & helpful owner. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Wonderful breakfast including fresh fruit from her garden & homemade biscuits.

Pros: Valeria was an excellent hostess and the pool area is very nice. The grounds, covering 30 hectares, are fabulous and luscious fostering all beautiful sorts of greens including veggies and fruits.
Cons: The room; ‘il contadino’ was too small for us (2 adults + enfant).
Pros: The place is beautiful, the food made from locally grown produce amazing, lovely garden, friendly staff, perfect location for visiting Caserta and Benevento, very relaxing stay overall
Cons: The location of our room: it was behind the kitchen and so rather noisy
Pros: The property is set in a beautiful location Outside pool area looked lovely and the large dining area was very pretty Food was delicious Chef very friendly and the young man looking after us was charming. Wine cellar was interesting and lovely that most of the food is home grown In general a Beautiful property with bags of potential but work needed and refurb of bedrooms a must!
Cons: The bedrooms were not nice. Shower just a trickle of water coming out and friends room was luke warm. Very rawly decorated - pieces of wood handmade furniture just pained - looked very make shift. No where to put the suitcase or decent wardrobe. No Door knobs on cupboards just screws!!?? Workmen outside. Outside seating area cushions dirty. Wasn’t very clean - stained sofas in tv area - dogs wandering round outside. It just didn’t feel clean Swimming pool in spa area not very clean - scum line round the pool. Material over arbours was dirty. Great shame as the people were lovely and property could have been gorgeous May be that they weren’t ready for the season but if that was so then perhaps they shouldn’t have taken a booking !
Pros: The room, the staff, the food and wine were all way above our expectations! Wonderful stay!
Pros: The restaurant was excellent. They included a surprise dessert for my wife in honor of her birthday. Staff greeted us outside the door with a "benvenuto" when we arrived. The night was very quiet and easy for sleeping. Spa on site.
Cons: A little short of electrical sockets for charging appliances.
Pros: Great staff and service. Very helpful and polite
Cons: Location is a bit boring, WIFI is only available in the lobby and pool area. Breakfast is extremely limited.
Pros: Nice outdoor area, quiet, restaurant
Cons: No coffee or tea in the room, not even a glass for water Drink bottle under the bed and dust Small towels in the bathroom Wooden bed frame which was noisy every time you moved
Pros: The staff is lovely the food is spectacular
Cons: The room ciabbatino is not great and also there were some ongoing mantainace work done which were quite noise although we said that to the manager and she agreed
With a stay at Castello di Limatola in Limatola, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Bosco of San Silvestro Nature Reserve and Royal Silk Factory Complex of San Leucio. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and express check-in. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: It was a castle! It exceeded our expectations. The castle is located in a remote, small town. We felt like we were among locals and not a “touristy” city. Loved it!
Cons: Finding reception was difficult and not marked clearly. Definitely needs more signage.
Pros: Definitely get a sense of history, the decor is fabulous and you can’t beat the rooms which are so quaint and regal.
Cons: Living in Italy for 4 years, I’m used to Italian customer service not being as expected for an American but the staff definitely treated me like an idiot - luckily I understand the language and I sent my kids to Italian school so the staff started to realize that they weren’t getting away with anything with us. The price for dinner was higher than advertised, there was an event the night we stayed and they expected us to stay holed up in our rooms rather than explore the property and the dinner could have been ALOT better for 50 euro a plate - not including wine and I was actually still hungry which is unheard of in Italy. All in all it is a castle and pretty cool but next time I’ll just visit for an hour and leave.
Pros: Beautiful and breathtakeing authentic castle with panoramic views from its high vantage point above the valley. This is largely a venue/wedding event facility, so almost always there is some event going on. We were a bit concerned that service or food would be compromised when on our arrival we came upon a wedding reception, but we were treated well and served promptly at the restaurant where, we had good quality dishes: lamb, veal, seafood. Breakfast was underwhelming, and croissants were bready (not flaky), so some improvement is in order here for the money.
Cons: Breaksfast was just ok, even for Italy. All other locations we stayed at over 3 weeks were better.
Pros: Just an amazing place to stay, like living in a fairy tale. Super huge suite with large comfortable bed. Very quiet surroundings and spectacular views. The large jacuzzi tub in our suite made the stay even more romantic. Historic ambiance.
Cons: Climb up the hill to castle and trouble finding reception, not enough signage.
Pros: Amazing castle, large rooms. Furniture and painting bring you back in time. Incredible dinner as well
Cons: Windy night, a lot of slamming doors and windows. Couldn’t have a proper rest
Pros: Beautiful castle, very old but with modern conveniences like A/C and elevators. The staff is friendly enough and give you good information.
Cons: The restaurant seemed a little undermanned when we went.
Pros: The castle is magnificent, perfectly restored and very nicely decorated.
Cons: A bit hard to find, but nothing that can’t be solved with a gps. Breakfast lounge could use some heating!!
Pros: Breakfast was just ok. Some seemed it was leftovers. It was an enchanting castle. I believe perfect for weddings for sure. Downfall- having to carry your luggage up cobblestone road and many of stairs. We had a difficult time trying to find out where to check in( no signage) we pretty much had the castle to ourselves. They did lock the entrance doors early at night. We had to call to be let in. Very vintage. It was a great experience to stay in a castle. A couple of nights is plenty though.
Cons: Breakfast a little fresher. Help getting luggage to room. other than that a true fantasy experience.
Pros: Very unique stay. We had the whole castle to ourselves. Amazing experience. Staff accommodated a late check in and were very nice about it. Location and castle itself is unreal. Rooms were very rustic, which I loved.
Located in Solopaca, Palazzo Riccardi is a 2-minute drive from Taburno-Camposauro Regional Nature Park and 8 minutes from Old Baths of Telese. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
Pros: It was a real pallazzo. I felt like a duchess. My Prince loved a wide range of vines in the pallazzo. Very nice owners.
Pros: The apartment was very well equipped, with clean big rooms, located in the center of the beautiful Solopaca and there was a rich offer of wines :) The Solopaca itself is wonderfull place under big mountain with nice view of big valley. I reccomend to go to Santuario della Madonna del Roseto up in the hills. It's a shame we could not stay at this luxury palace for a reasonable price for longer.
Cons: I did not like the decoration in the rooms, but it is more about a personal taste. There is only a few possibilities for lunch od dinner, all restaurants are located far from the place. But a small shop is nearby, so its good to cook by your own :)
Pros: Comfortable apartment for good price. Its perfect choice if you like wine.
Cons: No swimming
Pros: Very nice host. Always accommodating, went over and beyond to make us feel welcome and so did the people living nearby. The apartment was clean, no problems with the parking, and felt sad when our stay came to an end. This is a place we’ll keep in mind when we come back in the area.

Pros: When like the atmosphere. It was very comfy.
Cons: i wish we had more time in the city
Pros: Everything excellent
Cons: Hard to find a place to eat.
Located in Telese, Aquapetra Resort and Spa is in a provincial park, within a 5-minute drive of Old Baths of Telese and Terme di Telese. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: In a beautiful quiet location, great to just relax. All the staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is outstanding. Had a fabulous 5 day stay.
Pros: The way it is laid out and presented is impeccable , truly beautiful. The pool area is stunning, the gardens surrounding are so beautiful the whole place is quite magical. The staff are very attentive and personable and run a very tight ship, without being overly attentive.
Cons: The rooms are quite small and given the luxury rating don’t really match... they are quite tired, need a good clean up, things like the sheets at the windows, ours were filthy, chipped paint etc. Really disappointed we expected more. I can’t say this of all the rooms perhaps it’s just the standard rooms.
Pros: Very unique and beautiful
Cons: On the 17th June we arrived at Aquapetra resort and spa. We were there by 12am and when we were greeted by the receptionist who was more than welcoming. The room and setting was amazing but there were a lot of faults and by the end of the stay we were treated with utter disrespect. They took out luggage gave us robes and flip flops and said we could use all the facilities and relax by the pool, till our room is ready. At the bar We had several incidents where we would wait for 15-20 mins to find a staff member to be served a drink, one evening we ordered and after 15 minutes of waiting we questioned where our drinks were ,we were told these drinks weren’t available, and they started to shut the doors and turn the lights off as a hint to say we needed to go , even thou the opening hours were till 1am and it was only 10.30pm. We met a English couple there that checked Out a few days before us. They used all the facility’s until their taxi arrived to collect them that evening , which again shows how badly we were treated. On our second night we booked in at the Michelin star restaurant , we were extremely disappointed the menu was very small and when the food arrived it was average at best. The starter was not what we ordered as was told once the plate was brought To our table the chief has created his own version. The venison was over cooked and the pork was very fatty. We did complain about this to the manger who didn’t seem to believe or care what we had to say, we explained we had been to many Michelin star restaurants and appreciate that the meals are smaller , the size that we were served was ridiculous. We then had to pay every evening to have a taxi take us to the town so we could eat , or the only other option was room service . Considering we were there on our anniversary we didn’t want to spend every night eating in our room. The Michelin star restaurant was the only restaurant in the hotel .
Pros: This place is huge - much bigger than the photographs and what you see on TV. It was serene, calm, clean, and stunningly beautiful. Water is free from the bar in your room, the food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and moderately priced. Cocktails are also great! Spa facilities were excellent - lots of space, many facilities, no queuing etc. Towel hire is complimentary, pool is kept clean, staff are very attentive. When I paid my bill to leave I mentioned how delicious breakfast was (which was included on the booking), particularly the chocolate cake. Before I left, the staff had arranged for some chocolate cake to be placed in a takeaway container for me for my onward journey! Very heart warming.
Cons: Water isn’t free if you order from the bar or restaurant, just from your room. The spa treatments are heavily priced - the cheapest treatment costs more than the actual accomodation, so be wary of this and allow for extra spending money. No hair conditioner is provided at all on site, just shampoo. These are the only things I could find which could possibly by negative!
Pros: Dinner was Michelen-quality. Beautiful grounds. Very relaxing.
Pros: We had a pleasant stay. The outside and buildings were sympathetically restored and well kept. The dining room was pleasing to the eye and also well designed. The pool area too was peaceful and well designed.
Cons: Our first room - air conditioning didn’t work. Eventually staff agreed to move us to another room, which was fine. We felt the drinks in the bar and food in the restaurant were over priced compared to other places we had stayed. Also on the Michelin guide.
Pros: The whole place is stunning
Cons: The single use plastic cups and stirrers in the spa is unnecessary. Sustainability !! Breakfast was fairly average. No fresh eggs or much choice of hot food. Mainly Italian cakes which is not to everyone's liking.
Pros: Excellent service. Excellent facilitues
Cons: No transport from the nearest town to aquapetra but I telephoned the property and they sent a member of staff in his own car to collect us. Excellent service. Above and beyond.
Pros: pool and restaurant were amazing, room was very dark and terrace area filthy but staff were fantastic and yes we would recommend and yes we would return
Cons: terrace could have been cleaner and room a bit brighter
Pros: Beautiful, peaceful and even better than it looks on the tv.
Cons: We wanted to go and look at the nearest town, no taxis available and if you wanted to walk you would have to walk along a busy road with no path, it’s only a 6 minute drive in a car, I think maybe the hotel could provide a service as I certainly would of been happy to pay for it!!
Located in Dugenta, Tenute del Gheppio is within a 15-minute drive of Taburno-Camposauro Regional Nature Park and Ruins of Telese Cathedral. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The food was absolutely amazing! We had a 5 course dinner filled with various cheeses, meats and a delicious dessert. They featured house wine that was divine. The staff was so friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and that the place was perfect.
Pros: Setting. Facilities. Breakfast.
Cons: Restricted ceiling height in the bedroom. Quite dark due to small windows. Charge to use the pool.
Pros: Good: Beautiful location, wonderful facilities, friendly staff, excellent kitchen. Poor: Mattresses a bit too firm.
Pros: Staff were welcoming. Restaurant staff were excellent. The property was magnificent, with cellars, pool area, wonderful dining area. Room was very comfortable and clean.
Pros: The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The food was fantastic regional food sourced from their property. Even though they had closed the pool after summer they reopened it with no issue. Ignazio was extremely helpful as he explained everything that we did not understand. The position of the property in relation to Naples and Caserta( magnificent Reggio de Caserta a must see) is very good. It is also two and a half hours from Rome which makes it easy to board a ferry from Naples or head back to Rome after a road trip. Excellent property!!
Pros: Nicely situated. Beautifully restored castello/farmhouse. We had an outstanding dinner (I mean really outstanding !) with local products for 25 Euro per person. Wine is extra but not expensive – and was delicious.
Cons: The pool is nice, but we were surprised that the pool area was public – and that we had to pay for using it. The pool area was not as quiet as expected. WIFI was not very good.
Pros: Nice pool. Great food and wines
Cons: bathroom was really small, you have to bend a bit to fit under the shower. Also you are in the middle of nowhere, so you depend on the hotel facilities. After dinner nothing left to do.
Pros: Care for details
Cons: No salty breakfast option and fridge a little bit noisy

Pros: The property was newly updated and very well kept. A large room with comfortable furniture. The vineyards were a delightful. The host spoke very good English and was very accommodating. Would definitely return.
Cons: Everything met our expectations.

Lisandro Wine Resort was founded in the wake of Cantina di Lisandro, a winery producing Pallagrello and Casavecchia (native vines of Caserta). The property is surrounded by nature and surrounded by vineyards and is the ideal place to relax away from the chaos of the city. A magical place, not far from Caserta and Naples where you are welcomed by the familiarity and the warmth of a "home". Staying just above the winery and surrounded by vineyards, we can accommodate guests in newly renovated apartments equipped with all comforts. The larger apartments can accommodate up to 6 people; they have 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen / dining area / living room with fireplace. The smaller apartments have a single bedroom and a bathroom; also in this case they have a kitchen / dining area / living room with fireplace and can accommodate up to 3 people. In addition, the hotel is equipped with Wi-Fi and free parking. The view is breathtaking. From Lisandro Wine Resort it is convenient to discover a surprising landscape, between the Taburno and the Volturno, scenery of very old gastronomic traditions (such as the Roman Conciato) or of national and world-level art of pizza. Or to wander through monuments and archaeological sites of northern Campania, from the Royal Palace of Caserta, to the Amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, from the remains Trebula Balliensis at the Teatro Romano di Teano, from the Early Christian Church of Sant'Angelo in Formis to the Medieval Village of Casertavecchia, from the Ciampate del Devil in San Leucio, the silk village: all places less than 30 minutes away. The apartment consists of two double bedrooms and a bedroom with a single bed. Specifically, one of the rooms has a double bed, a single bed and a bathroom in the room. A second bathroom is located between the single bedroom and the other double bedroom. Kitchen, dining area and living room are a single room with sofa, TV and fireplace. In addition, the outdoor area on the ground floor is a very large shared area, with tables, chairs and armchairs to enjoy the beautiful days and, if you wish, take advantage of the barbecue for a barbecue. Among the paid services available there are: - tasting of the company wines - Reggia di Caserta ticket reservations -pool - ride on horseback
Pros: Very nice appartment at a family owned vineyard. Jessica, the owner, was very friendly and enthousiastic. She showed us the production facilities and drove us to the yards itself. Really interesting. She also recommended us a fine restaurant in Puglianello called "Il foro dei Baroni"
Cons: Everything was okay
Pros: Owners put a lot of effort into every small detail (rooms, delicious breakfast and their time to show us around the property).
Cons: For some it might be difficult to get there but in our case google maps did a perfect job. At the end of the road you will find excellent place. Additionally, host did propose to meet in the city center to guide us to location.
Pros: The most amazing hospitality and openness to public, the owner is also a very popular wine producer, and rightly so, the wine tasted as sublime as the stay. The family owns another property, soon to be open to the public with amazing views to the wine valley and right above the vineyard. Not only I have been welcomed with open arms but have also been shown around as well as been advised on the surroundings and the hidden gems in the area. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, spoken English as a first language hence no communication issue there. The house was impeccable, clean and well stocked with all the necessities. Great outside space with great views from both the rooms and the the terraces, vast outdoor space well thought through and looked after, ideal for large parties ( eg. weddings and cerimonies of such).

Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Grounds are beautiful
Cons: It had an old smell to it. It must have been a Grand Hotel in the past, but now you can see and feel the age. Needs a major redo
Pros: A grand hotel with old world charm was just what we wanted after many days travelling and this fit the bill wonderfully.
Pros: The gardan.
Cons: I book a large comfort room. But they gave me a lower room category without any reimbursement of the higher price that I prepaid.
Pros: We spent our last evening at the Grand Hotel. The property is set In beautiful surroundings. The hotel has a lovely pool area and a spa (remember to take a swimming cap if you don’t want to buy one from the pool shop/bar) The hotel needs some up dating though especially the bathrooms but it’s large and I can see how it will take a lot of money to renovate back to its former glory. That being said it’s still value for money. The breakfast was sufficient and served in a pretty room looking onto a lovely garden. After 3 weeks traveling amalfi and Sicily and staying in small old towns it was a nice change.
Cons: Shower needs updating
Pros: Staff very accommodating. Coffee good.
Cons: Location not fantastic. Breakfast not that good but coffee was excellent.
Cons: Front reception very rude and not welcoming really need to improve this service
Cons: The spa was very poor and the pool inside smelt very bad
Pros: Nice meal in restaurant in the evening. Good service.
Cons: Limited facilities- pool, spa and gym were not open for use during day. Its been some time since this hotel could call itself GRAND !!! very much in need of some TLC.
Pros: It is certainly a hotel where you can feel the sphere of a glorious past. The dining area is really lovely. After dinner one of our friends could play the piano in the huge dinner room. The sleeping rooms are a bit outdated but comfortable. The dinner itself was effectively served and of good quality.
Cons: The choice of the buffet breakfast could have been better. The quality of the fresh fruit as well.

Pros: Service was very good. Nice breakfast with excellent service!
Cons: The room itself could use a bit of TLC. But overall the hotel was good and met our needs.
Pros: Welcoming staff and excellent restaurant
Pros: A great hotel and restaurant
Pros: In the region, this is a very good choice to choose from. We enjoy the staff and they treat you like family. Coffee was very good.
Cons: The rooms need a little updating especially the bathroom shower.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Breakfast simple
Located in Telese, Notte Serena is within a 5-minute drive of Old Baths of Telese and Terme di Telese. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good-sized, clean room.
Cons: It said check-in after 12:30. I wrote that I would arrive about 1:30. No one was there. I called using some kid’s phone ( I didn’t have an Italian phone), and owner said I could check-in at 6pm, which would have left me homeless with luggage on a warm day all afternoon. We called again, and this time he came over in 10 minutes and let me in. So check-in was a bit weird. Breakfast was only one croissant (cellophane wrapped) and coffee, ultra-basic even by Italian standards.
Pros: If you looking for Quiet cosy place this is the one
Pros: Very pleasant and quiete
With a stay at Hotel del Lago in Telese, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Old Baths of Telese and Terme di Telese. Featured amenities include express check-in, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This hotel was a lovely gem to find. The owners are great people and the business & property are looked after with pride. It is directly across the road from a beautiful lake. The restaurant wasn’t open the night we were there but there was a great restaurant pretty much next door which was very good. We are travelling in motorcycles and the owner is a rider. There was lots of in site parking for them. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area.
Pros: Value for money great service only fault was bathroom was a little dirty
Pros: view and sunsets.
Cons: Lady owner hospitable but male owner very 'uninterested' in paying customers with the exception of last day were we were told we were not charged for breakfast the ONE DAY we had it and in return he expected a good review! He didn't realise that we spoke and understood the language and Wes very derogatory disrespectful. Commented under his breath that we were ordering ' piss' when we asked for American coffees. No hot food or snacks served. Not even at the bar. Cold drinks were warn and hot drinks were cold. Most rooms had a balcony but with no table or chairs they were pointless. Room facilities 0. No tea/coffee making facilities, no fridge. Towels were equal to tea towels in size and material. Everything was'closed' from 10pm til 7am and no shops or bars within walking distance so you had to make sure you at least had a bottle of water for the night. DONT drink the tap water!!! Not even acceptable as a hostel where you just need a bed for the night. Every night it was noisy till 3 or 4am with people coming and going. So glad to be home to have a good nights sleep!
