Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff. Gorgeous grounds, location although a little distance from Sligo Town was lovely. Breakfast was very good, Dinner smelt amazing but we didn't eat in.
Cons: Although its a character property steeped in history, I feel that the hotel needs to be updated or modernised in a tasteful way, to suit the character of the building. Some of the décor is a little outdated and has a sense of a B&B rather than a hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming, friendly hospitality in a tastefully restored home. Owners very helpful and informative about exploring a most picturesque county.

Pros: The spa and room was nice
Cons: The staff in bar and restaurant were not good. They were slow and forgot half our orders and never apologized and ended up making us feel uncomfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The grand driveway leading up to the Castle is breathtaking. Our room at the front was stunning & large & just befitting a Castle really. It’s beautifully decorated, the staff are attentive & the food is wonderful too.
Cons: Sadly, the gloss of the night was spoilt by just one staff member who was very rude, short with us & didn’t allow us to continue our ONE nights stay going to the Dungeon bar that we were told we should visit after dinner for live music & dancing. He said the earlier private function was still going & we were not welcome. Twice! We did complain as we will only ever do this ONCE. It did go to the top manager & she was very apologetic, but sadly that can not replace a night that could’ve been truly memorable.
