Pros: The best breakfast you’ll have on the island. The friendliest caretakers, Greg & Eloim really go above and beyond to make your stay great. They can set up any adventure you might want to do, or point you to places where you do nothing but enjoy the slowness of the island. I would highly recommend Yocamatsu and Caye Caulker. Very relaxing!
Cons: Nothing could have been better.

Pros: Gorgeous setting! Loved having Max as our island taxi driver and Jose as our Belize City taxi driver and tour guide. The people of Caye Caulker are warm, friendly and you always feel welcome. We felt very safe... much more than our trip to Cancun a couple of years ago. We enjoyed the “chill” jibe and the pride Belizians take in their country. Weezies wasa perfect destination for our family!
Cons: Staying in the cottages was wonderful but staying on the beach would have been even more glorious
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Private -quite - clean - friendly staff
Cons: No restaurant in the property or surroundings. Unreliable WiFi -never worked - far from downtown San Pedro: had to pay taxi r/t every time I needed to go shopping or to go to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. It started to add up to my vacation budget. - next time I stay close to DTWN San Pedro
7.5 Good
Pros: quite location distance from busy strips
Cons: lots of bugs outside cottage
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were v friendly and accommodating
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great pool. Nice spacious room and terrace looking out onto the pool.
Cons: The town was a short walk away but this was as advertised.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful flowers lining the premises, shady and breezy, space to grill your own food, lovely pool and pier. We stayed in the loft and had plenty of space for the two of us. The hotel had cute details, we could walk to most places in town, and we loved the pool area and free kayaks and SUPs
Cons: The ladder in the loft to get to the bedroom area was a bit steep and sometimes a bit uncomfortable to bring something up or down. For the rest we had an amazing stay and I’d highly reccomend.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent management...Manager Roberto reads the wishes off your lips...snorkeling, fishing, paddling, barbeque-ing and provides you with good coffee around the clock. Ocean front apartments spacious with all amenities...pier with recliners for fishing and swimming. Quiet location surrounded by palms away from the main beachfront rumble...definitely worth a stay!
Cons: Nada!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location, beautiful and clean room with icy cold AC, sparkling pool, bikes to rent for cheap that were in great shape, kayaks to rent for free
Cons: Sometimes members of the staff were not as friendly as we had read in all the reviews.

Pros: The room was adorable with a full kitchen. They have everything you need for a relaxing day in the sun, free paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel equipment, bike rentals, and an amazing dock with a thatcher roof cabana for lounging in the sun all day. Dream Cabanas - Caye Caulker - Building

9.3 Excellent (108 reviews)

4.3 Okay
Pros: Milly was a helpful hostess and obliging. The fresh water everyday was a nice touch. The clothesline was also helpful. WiFi is good and bicycle rentals right on the spot.
Cons: The walls are paper thin — you can hear everything, even a sneeze or a flick of a switch. The children staying next door would jump and the place would shake. The housekeeping is a little odd service wise and they charge you for it. Glasses were not cleaned every day nor beds made. The neighbors also play loud music which is par for Belize. If you are seeking refuge, think twice about this place. There is also no tv.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the location and the staff. Moly is a great host. She is very accommodating and she makes you feel like family. They also let you rent bikes for $5 dollars a day if you are a guest. Second time staying at Dream cabana and I always leave with a smile on my face.
Cons: That the rest of my family couldn’t stay due to it being sold out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so sweet and overly eager to help us in any way possible. The room was comfortable, with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, WiFi and a. I’ve bed. The company even had bikes to rent for the day, which we took advantage of.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner was super nice and helpful. The Ac in the room was great and spacious.
Cons: The neighborhood was a little loud and the surrounding area wasn’t the best but I did feel safe due to the gate to the property being tall and locked down.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were brilliant morning and night. The rooms are wonderful, fresh water daily. Really well put together, you feel safe with the gate.
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place. If you're looking for private rooms, go here. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. The beds are very comfortable, you get some tea for the room, good wifi, great shower/bathroom. The owner is SO kind as well. :) the place is a bit out of the way so you're not in the hustle and bustle of the main streets. You can rent bikes from here if you don't want to walk. If I'm being picky, maybe a shelf in the shower to put your shampoo and soap on would be a good addition. I loved staying here.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the host and how extremely nice and helpful she was about tours, places to eat and even keeping our bags at the hotel while we were on our excursion. Also, the hotel has bikes you can rent that makes getting to everything much easier and fun. The hotel is close proximity to all the after hours food spots and night club known as the Reaggae club.
Cons: The location is in a quiet section of the island which is good but having the bike makes that location great for getting to restaurants and bars with all the action on the island.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean with friendly staff
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful amd clean. The lady was extremely nice and helpful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Millie who runs the place was soooo kind and inviting and helpful! Loved her! So willing to help with whatever we needed, call a cab, keep our bags an extra few hours while we do a snorkeling tour. She had great food recommendations. She even has a few bikes on the property she rents out. The room was smaller but adequate. The pillows and bed were fairly comfy. Overall I would stay here again. Thanks Millie!!!

Pros: Great location, wonderful view. Big, very clean room with kitchen and everything making our stay comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, central on the island. Sea view.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Great location and the rooms were very comfortable. It is not fancy but is a great value for your money. WiFi was excellent and tv had good choices. Staff was helpful made for a pleasant visit.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to restaurants, the ferry terminal and the Split for a great afternoon of cocktails in the sun!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everthing is nice about the place to - recommend it but bring ear plugs for sleeping - read on...
Cons: There’s a tiny shack across the street called Margarita Mikes (Pretty good margaritas) that plays Reggae club music from 10am to around midnight every night. I’m cool with the music, but it’s so obnoxiously loud all the time. Forget taking a nap or trying fall asleep before they close at night as you can’t get away from it in your room. I used ear plugs for three nights and seemed to help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large room, clean, has a lot of space and all the amenities. Large shower. Perfect location. Nice staff. Good WiFi. Balcony with sea and street view.
Cons: The bed was not stiff enough.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spacious rooms in the heart of Caye Caulker! Photos do not do justice, was much nicer in reality. Beds very comfy. Good fan and AC. Very clean. Staff so friendly, especially Ernesto
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Clean, kitchenette, good beds and a/c. Breakfast options close - try Meldy's wonderful home cooking take road beside hotel past soccer field to her porch.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was as advertised and it was very clean. We liked being on the 2nd floor and the view of the ocean was great. The location of the hotel couldn't be beat. Even though it was in the middle of everything, we had no trouble with noise. We ate several times at the Rainbow Grille and it was good every time.
Cons: The beds were not the greatest...not horrible...just not the best. The air conditioning was so-so.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy room with microwave and small fridge, neither which we used. I like having bottled water available everyday and decor was nice, bed was pretty comfortable. Beach towels available for use on beach or tours; cushions available for use on their chairs by the ocean.
Cons: A/C in Belize is not like a/c in USA - it is not going to get that cold so be prepared. Wifi and channel selections were poor but unsurprising. Needed more hangars. Odd door lock situation which could be a safety issue - windows lock and you could not lock door from inside without a key! In case of fire it's gonna be ugly. Like all hotel rooms, we could have benefited from 2 luggage racks instead of using furniture or the floor!!
The Novelo - Caye Caulker - Building

Staff on site can arrange airport transfers. At the guest house, each room includes a patio with a sea view. All units will provide guests with a desk and a coffee machine.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location - easily accessible but tucked away so it's quiet. The property - clean and so comfy. I particularly liked the layout, there is so much space. There is a private kitchen, a sun deck and a swimming pool. Abel is friendly and so helpful. I loved staying here, so much better than the big resorts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the property, 8-10 bike ride. The bike are provided free. You can’t beat free, pool on site also.
Cons: The location, not to close or to far from town.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very accommodating! He allowed us to check in and didn’t charge us until the following day because it was late when we arrived. He even reimbursed us for the taxi we took to The Novelo :)
Cons: The only thing was the distance. During the day it was easy to get to, but at night there were so many mosquitos. However there were free bicycles with head lamps provided!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed, bathroom and free bikes !
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I came to the Novelo because I wanted peace, quiet and serenity. That's exactly what I got. It's a stunning location with more amenities than listed. You can't go wrong for the price and as a female travelling alone, I felt safe and looked after. There are dogs!
Cons: It could have been cleaner, but it was such an amazing value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice and relaxing location, away from the crowds. It was less than a 10 minute walk, or 5 minute bike ride, to be anywhere you wanted to be. Amazing views of the sunrise from the private dock.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Abel was a wonderful host and was very helpful- even driving us to the harbour on our last day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Abel was a fantastic host! He paid for out taxi to the hotel, he had bikes we could use for free, he was really friendly and helpful, and he made sure he gave us a ride back to the ferry. The room was beautiful, spacious, had a kitchen which was great, and was just a short bike ride away from everything. And it was nice to have the pool. We highly recommend the Novell, and will definitely be back! Thank you Abel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Abel is the perfect host! He’s so friendly and so helpful. He and his brother and neighbor look after the house and are always available if you need anything. The house is comfortable. It’s bigger than it looks in the photos. The pool is great. Abel provides bicycles for free to ride into the village, and he offered to drive us into the village in his golf cart any time we needed it. The pups around the property - Neptune, Bandit, and Timberly - are so cute and so friendly. The property is quiet at night, a nice peaceful respite after a day of traipsing around the village, which is about a ten minute walk away from the house. We didn’t want to leave, and we’re already trying to plan our next time back.
Cons: It can’t be controlled, but the sea grass on the beaches and the walk to the property are a little bit of a bummer. That’s the only drawback, and it’s such a minor detail.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and clean and the bed comfortable. The location was quiet (it's outside the village) and peaceful and I loved sitting out on the jettys. The owner was incredibly helpful and bikes were available to get around on. Would highly recommended staying here.
Cons: No negatives

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a ferry terminal shuttle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is on the main strip right where you want to be. Definitely one of the nicest and newest places on the main road. The only reason I would stay somewhere else is this place had no vacancy or I wanted to rent a house and maybe have more seclusion. Once I booked, I received an email immediately asking if I’d like the hotel to arrange transportation from the airport in Belize City to the hotel. I said yes and I’m so thankful I did. It made the whole experience of getting there very pleasant. The staff at Jan’s is unbelievably accommodating. The owner was there at the property and was just a nice and friendly as the staff.
Cons: The only annoying thing I experienced was noise during the day. A couple of days I wanted to take naps in my room midday, but it was difficult because of chatter and activity around. There isn’t any noticeable noise protection in the rooms. No issues at all in the evening and overnight.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable, great location.
Cons: On the pricey side for what you get.
7.5 Good
Cons: Early check out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Clean and well located property. I stayed in the junior suite—excellent view of the water, right by the beach and a 2 min walk from the split.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was central to almost everything. Rooms were clean and made up daily.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location, the room was clean, staff was very nice.
Cons: It was rainy during our stay, an area where we could have gathered with our friends and played cards would be nice.
6.8 Good
Pros: I liked the location
Cons: No pool the seaweed was horrible the ac hardly worked one side of the room was hot allowed locals to sleep and use beach area

This hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. For those who require internet access, the property features Wi-Fi in designated areas. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. A pickup service can be arranged for guests upon request.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was secluded from the busy city but still in walking distance.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good room, we booked private with shared bathroom - only share the bathroom with one other room so works perfectly. Great information and map with local spots from the owner Doris. We had a great stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Miss Deloris helped us find a good dinner and the best snorkel tour on the island. Her place is very clean, comfortable, and quiet.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice place and spacious room. Beautiful view of ocean. Dorothy gave very helpful tips of the island.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: very clean, big bed, great location near the reggae bar which was my favorite. the host is very nice and super helpful.
Cons: the smell of the sargassum, also perhaps using non-organic cleaning products... you can smell it in common area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a king size room with own bathroom - bed was enormous and shower was great - it was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels every day. The whole hotel was spotless. The staff were very helpful - the man who maintained the property (Arnold) was particularly helpful in pointing out best places to go fishing. Doris - the hotel owner- knows her stuff about the island and told us best places to eat/ do laundry etc- really helpful. The hotel is 1 minute walk to a “beach” - a place with sun beds and easy access to the sea. The hotel is just on the outskirts of the main centre of Caye Caulker and therefore quieter than being in the cheaper hotels in the middle- we think it was worth paying a little bit more for the comfort and peace of Tree Tops. It is only 3 mins walk to closest bars/cafes/restaurant and 10-15 mins walk to the Split where there is a better beach and lively bars if that’s what you’re after. All in all a great property. Highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing!
7.5 Good
Pros: Lady that welcomed me was very nice - I arrived early in the morning off a night bus and she allowed me to use the bathroom to get changed and I could leave my bag until my room was ready. Really good size room, great air conditioning.
Cons: Very basic facilities. Was a little bit out of the centre of the island. Not much atmosphere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, very comfortable. Cleaned daily and fresh towels. Doris the owner is very helpful and will tell you everything you need to know about the island :) loved our time here
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really liked our room. Comfy bed and nice pillows. Tv was a nice touch and in English. Doris gave us a map of the island and told us best places to go. WiFi was very strong. Strongest we’ve found in Central America so far! Aircon was also very strong! Shower was powerful and WARM!! Staff were very friendly!
Cons: Location is a bit further than the majority of the other hotels. (Still only a 10 min walk, so not much) We did find 2 cockroaches daily in our room behind the sink cabinet, but you’re on a small Caribbean island. You will find these.. (so this isn’t a complaint)
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is good. You are pretty close to the ferry, although if you have luggage and it's hot out (which it usually is), the walk might feel long. However, I would generally say you are well located. The Wi-Fi is fast and works great! Just don't share it with others as they might slow down the connection (Doris will be sure to remind you of this). Our room was comfortable and clean, but we were disturbed at 9am the first morning by housekeeping. Can't say that's ever happened to us before....why would housekeeping think that's okay to do?! Anyway aside from this, the property offers free beach towels, bikes for rent (10BZD) and the option to refill your water bottle with them for 1BZD (this last part seeming a little ridiculous since you've already paid to stay at the property so why should you be charged to refill?).
Panchos Villas - Caye Caulker - Building
8
8.7 Excellent (125 reviews)

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good price for room with refrigerator and close to ferry terminal. They also allow us to have early check in around 9am which we arrived very earlier from an over night bus then 1st ferry to caye caulker. This is a plus that we can have a fresh shower then short sleep immediately.
Cons: Not much at that price for a budget room which you cannot expect many facilities like 5 star room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people running this place take an actual interest in your well being! Whether that is bringing you extra towels, leaving water in the room, helping you plan your day or even just getting some laundry done for you. I truly enjoyed staying here! The location is perfect, 2 minutes walk to the water taxi, 30 second walk to the bar and 5 minutes to the split. There are numerous stores in the vicinity as well as the bank. The property offers a rooftop terrace perfect for sunrise or set.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were large compared to another property some of our friends were staying. The Fry Jack place on the corner near the facility was amazing and just a few steps away.
Cons: Location was okay but not on the main road, other than that it was a great place to stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Panchos Villas was exceptional and very helpful. I forgot my hair dryer and she had one for me to use. The location of the property was perfect. The air conditioning worked very well.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: No where to hang up clothes , upstairs timber floors are noisy.
Cons: Close to ferry boat , shops and restaurants. Aircon worked well. Room has microwave , fridge and coffee maker.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The value for the money here is unbeatable. Easy walk to and from the ferry docks and the split. Allowed me to change my days of stay, check in early, and check in late as a result of my plans suddenly changing. The staff were very helpful in offering directions and giving tips of what to do and see on the island. You cant get a better location for the price. Place was well maintained and quiet in the evenings. Great sunrise and sunset view from palapa on rooftop.
Cons: They need to replace the hammocks on the roof!
4.3 Okay
Cons: Bed bugs. I got bit. The room we stayed in hasn't been used for awhile
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big rooms, very clean, great location, good deal for what you get.
Cons: Perhaps the room could have done with a microwave or hob. It has a kitchenette but nothing really in there to cook with
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, I think we were the only ones staying there Cecila was great, very discreet but there for you if you need any advice or help Nice little kitchenette, big bedroom with 2 large comfortable double beds. Bang in the centre of the main part of Caye Caulker but away from the seaweed smells of the beach. Great views of sunset from the roof terrace A strong & secure safe in the room
Cons: 2 more chairs in the kitchen/lounge area for eating at the table
4.3 Okay
Cons: The housekeeper stealing. The room didn’t get cleaned the 6 days we were there, just replaced the towels and took the garbage out. Left message to clean room early morning and by 4:00pm no one had been in the room. Very poorly run.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The dorms were clean, with A/C, comfortable beds. The staff was nice as well. Really recommend! :)
5.5 Okay
Pros: The hostel have a good vibes and relax.
Cons: When it has been no electricity the stuff do nothing and rude .
7.5 Good
Pros: The place is clean and comfortable. Hammocks and a chill vibe
Cons: It’s really poorly managed, it was almost impossible to book an extra night and the staff are constantly confused and unable to answer any questions. Lots of people were asked to move rooms/beds and some were even asked to leave.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Air con and clean. Bed linen changed daily
Cons: Only 2 showers/toilets for dorm rooms. Not very private either.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: All the staff was helpful and friendly. Free bicycle helped a lot to explore the island. Very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. AC worked well.
Cons: Many mosquitoes around the kitchen, it's not their fault though.
7.0 Good
Pros: The island is so small that the location makes everything very easy to access, especially the split, which is pretty for sunset. I moved rooms due to loud snoring and the staff were helpful.
Cons: Staff seem to frequently get confused about who is in which room and bed. They tried to put someone else in a bed I was already in and other travellers had experienced similar.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is great and I liked the kitchen area.
Cons: The staff is quite unfriendly and not helpful at all. Same with the owner who was yelling on her phone starting in the morning which was super loud. In the dorms, they turn off the AC at 8AM, which is when you will wake up as a result. You can’t nap in the room or anything cause it gets unbearably hot. There is a tiny cupboard to lock your valuables but you have to bring your own lock so if you don’t have one don‘t even bother with this place. Very disappointing and while it is cheaper than most other places, you get very little value and this place is not worth it. We moved places after one night and so did multiple other guests that arrived with us.
7.5 Good
Pros: AC in the dorm (19h-8h), spacious dorm, small locker, beautiful garden, good shower.
Cons: The higher bed of the bunk beds is a little dangerous as there is no railing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guest house is located closed to the split and some other attractions. The vibe is a very calmed one. Despite the many guest, the staff does the very best to keep everything clean and organized. I enjoyed laying on the hammocks and just relaxing.
Cons: Everything about it was great!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Caye Caulker was nice.
Cons: Staff at hostel was rude. At one point the young lady that worked there try to scam money out of us four in a dorm room. stating that we had to pay an extra $20 USD for using the air-conditioning in a other room she moved us to. Because the room we were in the air conditioning did not work. So she tried to scam us. But we stood our ground and did not let her scam us. When we asked for the managers or owners number to confirm what she was demanding of us. She immediately turned her head and said she wasn't going to charge us. And did not want to give us the management or owners number. Was not a good experience. Sorry for the bad review. But others should be careful with the people that work there. No telling how many people have been scammed by those individuals who work there.

Pros: Very nice. Will recommend to other family and friends.

Pros: 1. Very well equipped studio. You got almost everything you need, from a fridge to netflix. You can cook some simple things by yourself. 2. We also have two free bicycles, easy to cycle around. 3. The staff are very friendly and helpful. 4. All the tour information was also provided.
Cons: 1. The office is downtown but the house is not. About 10 to 15 minutes walk. 2. The shower is not very powerful.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Basic accommodation
Cons: Unfortunately two large and very alive cockroaches appeared on our final evening
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very quick, professional and helpful response by email in advance of our arrival. Levita organized our transport from the ferry port to the apartment which worked very well. Upon our arrival Levita gave us a good introduction into our apartment, she was very, very helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean and is well equiped with everything you need. Free bicycles included which proofed to be very convenient. Even Netflix is available for free!:-)) Wifi connection worked very well.
Cons: 5% credit card surcharge if you pay the apt with credit card.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bikes included to get around the island. With the location being a bit aways from the center this was greatly appreciated.
Cons: Maybe a little pricey for my budget but still had a good time. Would have preferred a stove for cooking since the hotplate took for ever to cook breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice private guest house a short distance away from the noise and activity of the island main streets. The bikes that are supplied were a real asset on the island. We made full use of the barbecue by shopping at local stores for food.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms with full kitchens. A block from the beach and they give u bikes for a short ride to the split and the center

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location to the Split was great very lively
Cons: No breakfast
5.0 Okay
Pros: This place was clean and had very helpful staff. There were no critters to bug us inside (or outside like most of Caye Caulker). I appreciated that they had air conditioning, although it was occasionally loud when it kicked it. There's a handy button to turn off the bright display at night. I found the double bed and pillows to be relatively comfy for 2 people to sleep. The water was hot enough in our unit for a warm/hot shower in the clean bathroom. The location is near two dive company headquarters. Good Wi-Fi. I fell in love with the front porch hammock. My husband didn't feel comfortable using it as a bigger man, but I adored it!
Cons: I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. Because the walls are made out of wood and the climate is tropical, the suite smelled super musty. I'm surprised I didn't see this in any of the reviews I read before booking. We needed to air the place out daily by opening the windows before we could stay in there for any length of time. We did not bring this to the manager's attention. Maybe she would have recommended a different solution. Whether the windows were open or not, the place was very loud. The walls were thin enough that you could hear people yelling and partying, which happens especially during weekends at The Split and the Sip'N Dip nearby. One Saturday, it was loud until 1-2am, but other nights things would calm right down around 7pm (sometimes it was completely dead by 7pm! See picture). The room was rather small. In our suite (orange, which is 1/ 6 or 8 suites) the nightstand drawers had to be closed so someone could get in and out of the bathroom. There was no safe vault, not that anything went missing, but it would have helped us feel more secure with our money. Like other places on the island, you will not be able to flush toilet paper down the toilet. It took some adjusting is all. The Sip N' Dip across the street looked like it used to be a fun place. "Dip" areas were not available as all the submerged furniture was broken. I would highly recommend staying at the Iguana Reef Inn if you can. We stayed at their beach bar during most days of our trip. Alternatively, stay somewhere one or two nights and transfer somewhere else once you get a better feel of the island.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location by the Split. Nice hammocks on decks. Very large rooms.
Cons: A/C was too loud to run at night.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location is great, next to The Split. The people were nice.
Cons: We found the beds extremely hard. It was soft to touch/push on but then we found it to be very hard to sleep on which indicates the mattress was worn out. Having a fridge in the room would have been really great but unfortunately it wasn’t provided. No coffee on premises either.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for a one night stay. Small but clean and had everything we needed. Nice location to water and resturants
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location right next to The Split and walking distance to all bars and restaurants plus super comfortable beds, lovely outdoor hammock and nice hot water shower!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms on an excellent location. Warm showers, airconditioning, comfortable beds. We both enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again if we visit Caye Caulker again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hammock’s on every porch. Well located. Beach breezes.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great but still quite at night. The hotel is closed to the best spot on the island- 'The Split'. Room was clean with warm shower and a good a/c, which is very important. Overall we were happy with our stay.
Cons: Our room was a bit dark and small. You need to keep drapes closed, otherwise no privacy (if your room is on the ground floor).

Activities such as hiking, snorkelling, cycling can be enjoyed in the surroundings, and guests can relax along the beachfront.
7.5 Good
Pros: All the information in their description is accurate. They have bikes per room so you don't need to worry about not having a bike during your stay. The dock is really great, and they also allowed us a late Checkout which was much appreciated.
Cons: There was a split unit in the little cabana, which was fantastic; however, the compressor was mounted on the outside of the cabana and made an awefully loud sound everytime the compressor kicked in. Literally felt like the wall had metal shaking in it making it near impossible to get a good night sleep. As soon as the compressor stopped, it was fine for 5 minutes then another 5 minutes of constant noise when it came back on, waking me up each time.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The island is very small so the location is always good. The rental bikes were a nice touch even though they were in bad shape.
Cons: We got there very early so the room wasn’t ready which we understood. After a bit of back and forth, we were allowed in to our dirty room to drop our bags off. The room had an overwhelming smell of urine. We were going to cancel but the woman at the desk offered to give us a room that was already clean but that she had claimed was specifically booked by another guest. The snorkel gear that was free to borrow was filthy. The bikes which were also free were rusty but did the job. The room was less than ok but did the job. There’s only one very thin fitted sheet between you and the mattress. And an equally thin sheet to cover yourself with. There was a roach in the morning. No toiletries.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Barefoot Beach provided two free bikes with the booking, which was a game changer for getting around Caye Caulker easily. They also provided gallon-sized water, which allowed me to minimize my plastic waste.
Cons: Barefoot Beach was a lovely spot for a two day stay. The only hiccups were that some of the features (WiFi and AC) stopped working for me during my stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great. Free bottled water on arrival
Cons: Bed was not very soft
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The accomodation provides bikes which are included in the price which makes it really easy to explore the island. Also they have a pretty good WiFi - we got a signal out on the dock. Even without having the AC on all the time our room always stayed quite cool.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Needs some uodating
6.8 Good
Pros: Quiet end if the island. Restaurants and shopping an easy walk or bike ride. Nice ocean view with nice pier and hammocks. Didn’t really interact with management.
Cons: We rented a suite and a bungalow. The suite was in pretty good shape except a metallic smell to the waiter. Our bungalow smelled mildewy. The refrigerator was okay and convenient. The toaster oven, the toaster, and the griddle were all too rusted to use. Air conditioner cooled well, just a little noisy. Shower hot water pressure was sometimes good, sometimes just a trickle. I guess it depended on other units using water. Overall, the room was okay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location and friendly staff. Waking up to that pier and laying around in those hammocks will leave a lasting impression in my heart. I have fallen hopelessly in love with Caye Caulker and will have to return!
Cons: Nothing
4.3 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The exterior and interior of the property was not well maintained. The appliances and utensils were severely rusted. The couch had sand from previous guests. The sign in the lobby suggested that the smell of sewage; etc. (seagrass) was an act of Mother Nature, we beg to differ.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and private pier
Cons: Owner worked hard to get internet working, but even when it was working it was slow compared other wifi connections at restaurants. etc.

Pros: everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is clean, it have al the basics things, privacy
Cons: It's a exelent place to stay and relax, exelent service
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Awesome place, amazing room!!
Cons: Not much, a bit expensive only for the amenities.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I could see the water from our room. So the location was amazing!!!
Cons: The bathroom was small and a tight fit for the throne room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, lovely island aesthetic, ocean view and hammock for every room, perfectly located. If you want an all inclusive resort go to San Pedro and stay at a gleaming resort that would look and feel the same as any you would find in Cancun, Florida, Jamaica or literally anywhere that has warm water. Here you will find simple lodgings in an authentic beach side village. Go here.
Cons: I can't think of any negatives, our accommodations were exactly what I was looking for. We opted for a less expensive room that had fans instead of AC, not something you would want if expecting a five star resort. Felt like authentic island living.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were small but have everything you need and were clean and comfortable. Location is a good spot between where the boats come in and the “beach” area where everyone hangs out. Staff were nice. Wifi was pretty good.
Cons: Nothing. Everything is expensive in Caye Caulker so by comparison to other options, this place is good value.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The porches are fantastic, with comfy chairs and hammocks. Location is super, halfway between the split and the ferry docks and catches a wonderful breeze from the ocean. Very nice to have a fridge in the room and a clothesline on the porch.
Cons: AC smelled a little moldy.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Only the location was good..the owner have alot of improvement they need to do..because they only worry about the money.
Cons: This place dont have no consider on we the people that are stay at their hotel.i had no water and light for two days that i stay.and i went and talk to the owners and they was like we cant do nothing about it..i was like you can either give us a discount or something to accommodate us because of the no light and no water.. they say they dont give that.i just walk out because i was getting so irritated.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location of the Hotel is perfect and it's easy to find. We decided to stay 2 nights longer and staf was really uncomplicated. And we got new towels every day.
Cons: We noticed, that they could invest in new towels and mattresses. Both our bed saged in the middle and some days we had towels with holes in them. We were two friends in a room which was meant for 3 pers. and space to put your luggage already was VERY limited for the two of us.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the place, it was really nice and Caye Caulker is so small so of course the hotel is close to everything. The little house was amazing, the views were incredible. I loved sitting outsite in my balcony and just chill. They provided free towels to take with you to the beach! How cool is that? I'd stay again! It is a bit expensive but it's an average price compared to other similar properties in the area.
Cons: The bed could have been more comfy.
Jungle Cocoon - Caye Caulker - Building

8.1 Excellent (57 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Jungle Cocoon in Caye Caulker, you'll be near the beach, just steps from Belize Barrier Reef and 12 minutes by foot from Caye Caulker Sand Volleyball Court.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This place is a gem. Very spacious cabana in a jungle setting, not far from the ocean. It's rustic - no AC, only fans, but AC isn't needed. Screens protect from insects. If you're looking for a beautiful, natural experience, this place is great. Bonus - there's a small french bakery on site. And Frederick, our host, supplied us with 2 bikes to use during our stay at no cost.
Cons: The mattress was a bit thin, but not uncomfortable.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely, spacious room. Great staff. Loved having bikes to explore with.
Cons: WiFi didn’t work very well
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a excellent stay at Jungle Cocoon, very clean and quiet. Bicycles were provided and this was a great way to get around the island.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The room is spacious and could be very romantic. Very secluded.
Cons: That room had lizards everywhere in the room. We literally didn't touch anything just put our bags down, went out and checked out couple hours later. Staff would not work with us on any type of reimbursement. There is no A/C and poop on the bed from either a lizard or bird. Coming back at night would be a challenge.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The room was very spacious and bikes were available free of charge to use on the island
Cons: The location is much further away from the main area - and very difficult to find as no locals knew of it or the street name. The price was high considering no A/C and location
6.3 Good
Pros: It's a very unique place, hidden away in the south part of the island. The 'cocoon' is huge, with a great main room and big, bright bathroom area. The cocoon is standalone but its in the garden of a French bakery/restaurant which is lovely for breakfast. It was very kind of the host Frederic to drive us to the boat port!
Cons: The accommodation is in a very quiet part of the island, set way back from the main roads. Not that it feels unsafe, just very isolated (but if you like being secluded this is the place for you!). The bikes were locked up outside when we arrived and we only received the keys the night before we were leaving...I'd suggest to leave the bike keys inside the room. There are no windows around the bathroom, just a mosquito net, again that might be us being overly security-conscious but would've preferred actual windows being on ground level. We didn't pick up any WiFi whilst there
7.5 Good
Pros: Located farther from town, this place was quiet and private. The bikes provided were an awesome way of getting around the island. The staff was polite and helpful. Our room was mopped and beds were made every day while we were at the beach.
Cons: Be advised that this place is a solid 10 minute bike ride from town. It is also far from all of the touristy things, so if you’re travelling alone, keep that in mind. I never felt unsafe when on the island, but I can see how some people would. The bed was very thin and incomfortable for me, but we were able to move the mattress from the couch under the bed mattress and it made all of the difference! This place is majorly screened in with close proximity to the restaurant (delicious, btw) so if you are more of a modest person, you may be making some window coverings from palm leaves.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The owner even borrowed 2 bikes for us to use for free while we were there. Location was about 20 minute walk from downtown area so it was very quiet. The cabana was exactly as pictured. Very roomy. Quaint and picturesque.Owner also ran a gourmet restaurant. Food was good. French toast for breakfast was outstanding. Also a bakery selling excellent breads and pastries. The garden area was beautiful and peaceful. Well maintained.
Cons: I was at fault for not noticing that there was no hot water for showering. Do not like cold showers. Also no air conditioning only a fan. It becomes very hot and sticky and a fan does not cool it off . We stayed 7 nights and had to request fresh towels. They were immediately supplied but not changed regularly. The mattress was very thin. Not comfortable. The security safe was small and not attached to anything. If broken into , thieves could have easily carried away safe for it was no larger than a purse. We did not use it for fear of this happening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very unique place to stay. Unlike any other hotel/hostel. Very cool bathroom/shower! Delicious French bakery/restaurant on the lot. Friendly staff of locals work there for a French man. Could be a pro or a con but it’s far away from the popular beach front street.
Cons: 2 Bicycles were free to use but one was broken and barely rideable. Couldn’t leave the doors/windows open to get a breeze cause there weren’t any screens to keep mosquitoes out. But 2 fans inside helped.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Such a cute spot with a bonus of the incredible restaurant! We couldn't get enough of the chocolate croissants. It truly was a jungle cocoon!
Cons: The bed was really lumpy and uncomfortable

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super helpful and friendly - we stayed here during the rainy season, although out of 4 days, we really only had one full day of rain/cloudy skies, so on that day, the guy at reception offered to pick up food for us so we wouldn't have to go out in the rain to get it ourselves. The dock and lounge chairs out front were great, and we were glad to be away from the bustle of the main part of Caye Caulker.
Cons: The rooms and bathtubs are a little bit rundown, but that was to be expected for the price we paid.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very pleasant. Our view of the ocean from the balcony was awesome. We had working A/C so it made the room comfortable. The water pressure was good and hot. The hammock and chairs on the pier were great for relaxing. It was always quiet except the birds in the palms that had a lot to say.
Cons: Smell of the ocean sometimes. They say it is from the sea grass which made the shoreline unavailable to get to the water. The facility needed some up dates and you could tell it was the off season because all services were not available. Office hours should be longer. After 5pm it was closed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really friendly and very helpful - after we missed our boat to the island, they allowed us to delay our stay by a day, so we could have the full experience of Caye Caulker!! The location couldn't be better - right on the beach, with a little private jetty and able to dip right into the (warm!) sea. The rooms were very comfortable, and the A/C worked a treat. I would recommend this slice of paradise...
Cons: The hotel is a bit of a walk from the 'party' end of the island (Lazy Lizard, etc.), which might put some people off.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The lovely gazebo out in the surf
Cons: There was a bit of a smell all around the whole seafront area of dead or rotten seaweed which was unfortunate as the wind blows it toward the land.
6.8 Good
Pros: The best thing about this place are the hammocks over the water. There is a nice breeze and it's a nice place to relax and read a book. The office offers cheap beer and drinks and you can even rent bikes. Room is adequate. Definitely nothing special. TV has lots of channels for those hot afternoons.
Cons: Wi-Fi basically did not work. Like most places on the island, the sea vegetation sitting in the sun has an unpleasant smell so we never opted to sit on the shore. The hammocks over the water was our spot. The location is a ways off from the rest of the island so it was a long haul each day to "civilization" (restaurants, bars, excursions, etc.)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was fabulous!! Away from the hustle of the streets and visitors but close enough to walk to town. Beach was terrific and the views from the rooms we had was beautiful. Lots of lounge chairs to relax in and we could swim off the dock. The staff was so friendly and very helpful to locate good food and golf cart rental. We will be back again!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very quite and comfortable, friendly staff
Cons: A bit far from the center
6.3 Good
Pros: On the beach location and helpful front office!
Cons: Small room in distant location from town
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed a nice sea frontage with pier with seats and hammocks. This place was tidy with no weed and well formed tidy sea frontage.Free coffee and tea a bonus and really good air conditioning (necessary on Caye Caulker) Beach towels provided and lovely staff who advised on tours and pickups
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great accommodations, free kayaks
Cons: Could be more developed

7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was very helpful. Really felt safe.
Cons: The cleanliness of the bathroom mirrors

Cons: Plastic straws, plastic bottles of water in the rooms....and the diesel golf buggy, why not electric? or actually you can walk anywhere, its not a huge place.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: The food was cold and expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beachfront, quiet but close to Main Street area, very clean. AC worked excellently and so did shower. Super friendly staff. They took care of our every need and request. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
Cons: Mattresses were not great but not a deal breaker.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location was good. Staff at the bar very nice. At the reception not.
Cons: The rooms are not good for that price. It is very noisy and the bathroom is open near the ceiling so you can hear and smell everything one does in the bathroom. Rooms are very basic. Iguana Reef resort is the same price and MUCH better rooms!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location within walkining distance to everything. Nice pool area! The AC did not work in our room, but we were promptly moved to a different one.
Cons: Our room did not have a sea view.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, generously sized rooms, restaurant on site, pool on site
Cons: Restaurant service wasn’t good and grounds need to be updated

8.2 Excellent (571 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Caye Caulker Beach Hotel in Caye Caulker, you'll be just steps from Belize Barrier Reef and 5 minutes by foot from The Split.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find, very clean
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Property was nice and well kept. Convenient supermarket downstairs. Convenient location. Great value. Enjoyed the hammocks on the rooftop of the hotel.
Cons: The only complaint I have is that in our room 303, the bathroom had a really strong moldy smell. We kept the bathroom door closed 99% of the time due to that. But everything else was wonderful.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were as expected and nice, though we didnt get a sea view unless you craned your neck out the window as we booked. Nice rooftop with hammocks and quiet overnight. Lovely cleaner.
Cons: Check in / out is in the shop below and they dont prioritise guests of hotel - you have to wait in the queue with customers from supermarket which isnt great with big bags
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that a person who worked there helped me to my room and the room was right off of the stairs. It was small but clean.
Cons: I saw other reviews about the noise and I have to agree. Some people started arguing at about 2 in the morning and it was extremely loud and I was on the 3rd floor. It woke me up. They cursed at each other and argued for well over an hour and I couldn't go back to sleep. That was the most uncomfortable part of my stay at the hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, easy walking to the split north for sunset and in the midst of great cafes and restaurants. Gorgeous rooftop hammocks for chilling in the shade with sea views. Easy check in, clean, fresh towels daily. Comfortable bed. Great to have a fridge and safe in the room. Hot water consistently. Also cable tv for when there are rain storms and you're stuck inside.
Cons: No windows in the room which is ok, you're out and about mostly. Bathroom drains smelled a tiny bit but this is probably the case across the island.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, comfortable beds, a/c works well, overall a nice place to stay.
Cons: All rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floors which means a lot of stair climbing. Only window is in bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Alex was sooo helpful; upon arrival he took our bags and carried our luggage to the room. He’s very knowledgeable and super kind❤️
Cons: I have nothing but nice things to say about this place!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the centre of the village. Comfortable rooms with airco and a fridge. Very beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Housekeeping came by every day.
Cons: Staff was friendly enough but everything was extremely transactional. E.g. knock on the door at 10am to remind us of check out at 11am. Only the bathroom has a window, the bedroom does not.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was great and the upstairs balcony with hammocks were nice. The bathroom was nice but no air conditioning in there and was small.
Cons: Climbing 4 flights of steep stairs to get to room was not ideal. The size of the room was extremely small. There was room for the bed with very little space surrounding it. We also booked another room that was a double and it was nearly as small. We only stayed one night and if I were to be there longer I would not have been able to handle it. There was no place to put luggage other than on the floor and there was not a closet, instead there was one hook on the wall to hang up clothes. The owners were not rude but they were not friendly either.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room is updated. Air condition worked well. Good shower. Nice roof top.
Cons: For the price and stars they have, they should provide drinking water bottle, one per person daily to brush teeth. Also they advertise tea and coffee machine - it’s not in the room and one on roof top only has machine but no supply. Can’t make any coffee or tea.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place not too exploited by tourism. Location and room were great.
Cons: The water pressure on the island was low for 2 days and that affected the shower. Honestly, that wouldn't stop me from staying here again.
5.5 Okay
Pros: the sea views and the proximity to the sea
Cons: That reception staff were not completely open about the availability and readiness of the suite shown when we went to ask.
8.0 Excellent

Cons: They didn't refund my snorkeling fee after the outing was canceled due to rain and heavy winds. Said they would, and then didn't. Never coming here again.

Pros: Clean place, nice employees, good suites. We asked to switch to a nicer room. They were fine with that and very cheap upgrade!!
Cons: No amenities like tv guide, waste baskets, too few towels. We first reserved the bungalow, was awful!!
4.5 Okay

Cons: The decor, the beds were terrible. The room smelled of mildew. The tv didnt work and there were no face towels or phones in the room

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Tropical Paradise Hotel in Caye Caulker, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Belize Barrier Reef and 13 minutes by foot from The Split. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The people, spacious bathroom and shower, the water pressure, the WiFi, The AC, and the cleanliness.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Right on the water! Small personal cabin that is super clean and personal. There is AC, the rooms are large and comfortable. Hot and cold water. Friendly staff but they leave you alone most of the time. Pretty view of the water but only in some rooms. No complains about water or plumbing. Looks like what is described.
Cons: The smell on the entire island is gross. When you're near the water you smell it the worst. Not the properties fault though. They did not have a water tank for us to refiill water bottles but that wasn't a big deal. It is a bit far from things- took about 10-15 minutes to walk to the main part of town. We love this place though. I would recommend it!
6.8 Good
Pros: They had a great reef tour and discount.
Cons: The restaurant wasn't open. I wasn't given the option to not have my room cleaned during my stay. There were no black out curtains on the windows - so the room was bright at 5 am. Coffee wasn't refilled after the first day, even though someone was in my room.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location is fantastic, there is a dock outside you can walk out on and watch the sunset in the evening.
Cons: The hotel staff at the reception seem to have absolutely no clue what they are doing. We were originally staying in a Cabana for two nights and wanted to stay another night. We went to reception to see if this request was possible, we were told that the same type of room was available but we would have to move to another room and check out and check back in again. The man at the front desk wasn’t sure how much we would have to pay in cash (had to make some phone call) and quoted us more than we had paid previously . We were instructed that it would be easier to book online again with booking.com. We waited around the next day as our new room wasn’t ready for a couple hours . When we could finally check in we were moved us to a completely different room out the back, and told us it wasn’t possible to stay in the same room - no idea how that works. We then asked for a refund as it wasn’t what we expected, and we wouldn’t of stayed another night if we we knew where we were going. They refused and said cancellations need to be 45 days in advance. There was clearly a lack of training and common sense in the staff we dealt with which made an experience that started positive into a very negative one.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly, but the place was out dated
Cons: When arrived the beach area was completely dirty and one of the staff members said that we can swim at the pool of there other property. Went to walk to grab food came back and asked about the place for swimming and It was a different story. So I’m went to turn the t.v on in the room and the whole t.v screen Had lines across no picture. I wasn’t happy at all. I mean you come to the Caye caulker for the beaches and to relax and I couldn’t do either. This was all within 2 hrs of checking in.
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Amenities in the bathroom were very nice. Location was good although these is a strong smell of sargassum in the summer.
Cons: There were hairs in the bathroom. Under our room at the back of the complex there was a “junkyard”. We also had a rat on our private balcony, along with used ashtrays - neither of us smoke.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: -
Cons: Bad service!! They don’t even try to help the customers. There is a very bad smell all over the hotel , they don’t clean the room every day and didn’t change the towels. Do yourself a favor and go to another hotel!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The dock. We are a couple and booked the dorm. Very spacious room (+2bunk beds) and good AC!
Cons: The staff was not very friendly. Could not find my booking and then took an other booking of a guest. Strange policy: need to pay a deposit for the room (40us$)
7.0 Good
Pros: Internet was very good, quiet off the main Streets and 5-7 mins walk from the ferry so you don’t need a taxi from the water taxi port. Staff were welcoming. Location - end of main part of town. Air con worked well. Shower worked well with good pressure and hot/cold.
Cons: We had a room in the back of the property, it was an ok size. Bedroom was very basic and I’m not sure I would want to stay there for more than a couple of days.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed and view of the beach, pier, boats and sea.
Cons: It would be good to have a table and 2 chairs in the suites to share a meal and play cards.
