Overall, a wonderful place to stay for a weekend getaway, close to San Francisco. Close to the beaches and a 5 minute drive from Korbel. Wedding next door that had a live band that went until 10:30. Not the managements fault. And we were warned ahead of time. I didn't mind the band at all, they played great music! My girlfriend and I spent the day at Korbel and were just tired. We wanted to go to bed early.
The staff was very welcoming and made us feel like we were at home. Got a great upgrade to suite with our own jacuzzi. Best value for amazing grounds with spectacular view of the Pacific. The food was good and the staff very good. Really appreciated the owner's hands on approach to satisfying his guests. Best value for a room with sunset views, big community jacuzzi, great on site dining, and the sound of the ocean when you sleep. This is an older facility that's under tender care of new management after sitting empty for several years. It's more remote, so Internet was sporadic.
Love the ambiance, the pet friendly option. Bed was super comfortable! Room has a musty smell, that airing out did not reduce, had to buy an air freshener. Also wi-fi was very spotty.
Beautiful room, beautiful location. Great bed, sheets nice and clean. Room very clean. Would go there again. And TV was good. Wifi was non-existent. It sucked. Verizon wireless does not work there either.
The room space was excellent, even with luggage and kitchen stuff we were not at all crowded. The location was great. The grounds were interesting when we went for a short stroll. The parking garage for the space was tight and very hard to get into and out of.
Overall, we loved Santa Nella House. A few of the things that stood out:The proprietors, who were super friendlyThe food, which was delicious and different every morningThe wrap-around porchThe hot tubThe beauty of the BnB The location meant that we had to drive 10+ minutes on very windy roads to get anywhereOur shower really only provided lukewarm waterOur particular bedroom was quite small (most of the others, however, are larger)
The Guerneville Lodge was quiet, peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable. Room was simple, and inviting. The lack of television in the room was not a problem. Movies and books in the lobby. While this is a old lodge, it did not smell old. Everything was clean. If looking for quaint, this is it. It took a long time for the water in the shower to get hot. Once it did, the temperature was fine.
Wonderful Sunday breakfast! Beautiful spot, with rustic charm.
