The car park was very secure and the hotel was a pleasant stroll from the town centre. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet.
The decor was a little dated but then we didn’t spend much time in the room apart from when we were asleep!
Place, and bedding clean.
Looks tired. Fittings all old. Not possible to have a drink in the room. Never like carpets around WCs. Needs a bit of oil on the door as I kept on thinking Chewbacca was coming up the hall.
We arrived late and left in the morning so I can only comment on the room. It has a cosy, classic style and the bed was comfortable. Seemed safe to lock our bikes in the garden. Wifi was an ok speed.
Though we arrived at 10pm the windows had been kept shut and the room was stifling hot and had a slightly unpleasant smell. We called ahead so they could have opened up the room as a courtesy. Perhaps if we had seen other parts of the hotel we would have had a nicer impression.
Close to town centre; 1.5 km; shady but no ac in rooms. Traditional old style accommodation. Breakfast excellent; dinner superb for price; €15-20 € and excellent carafe wines of aligote and Macon at cheap prices €7.80 per demi litre. Wines in other restaurants and hotels are ridiculously expensive.
