Spacious and newly renovated rooms. Location next to the cableway station: excellent for mountain excursions in summer and for skying in winter (consequently far from the village centre) Barely sufficient breakfast based on standard/industrial products and no product of the territory. Very kind staff but a bit insecure in handling basic activities such as check-out.
Excellent base for skiing in Gressoney - situated at the head of the valley, not more than a minutes walk to two of the main lifts, taking you to some excellent intermediate slopes. Hotel staff were excellent and could not do enough to help. Ideally suited for couples or families. Could not fault the hotel in anyway. Only downside was that they don't take Amex as advertised on Bookings.com - They did inform us that this was the case as we arrived and that they had asked for this to be changed on the website.
we really enjoyed our stay. the location is practically ski in - ski- out, the staff is very service - minded, very good breakfast and good prizes!:)
A very new hotel in an amazing setting. The staff and ownership were friendly and flexible. A very proactive group trying to improve and please we’ve noticed many of the negative comments already dealt with. Looking forward to trying them in the Winter! Go chalet du lys go…
The hotel is located in the middle of champoluc, 5 minutes far from the ski areas. All the people working for the hotel are very kind and ready to help you.
Relais des Glaciers is located at the southern end of Champoluc, about 1/2 mile from the ski lift. The bus from Milan stops in front of the hotel, as does the local bus. The local bus costs 1 euro per trip. Hotel staff is friendly, knowledgable and efficient. Breakfast has standard, European cold fare, with local cheeses and very good croissants.
We found our stay at Hotel La Rouja to be very warm and easy. The staff were very friendly and the hotel had a nice atmosphere. The rooms have just recently been decorated to a good standard and the new shower/turkish bath was amazing. Would definitely stay at Hotel La Rouja again.
Very friendly staff, room of good size with enough space for baby bed. Perfectly clean. The location is perfect, off the main street in Champoluc, with shops, coffee-shopts, restaurants, minimarkets, all over, sky-lifts less than 5 mins walk away. The main street has been newly paved with stones, and has no traffic (access by car is restricted to residents and hotel residents). In my opinion, probably the best location were to stay in Val d'Ayas. Everything you need daily and in the evening available within walking distance, and anything else available with a short drive. Parking spot available in the hotel garage. Perhaps temperature in the room too high for me - with no possibility of tuning it (it is regulated for the whole building). I wish the hotel provided wireless internet access - the only internet access was available at a computer in the main lounge.
Comfortable hotel located in the main street of Champoluc not far from the ski lifts, nice interior design, garage under the hotel, staff ready to help, safe big enough for DSLR camera and netbook, sauna... No wi-fi, just one computer with [expensive] connection to the Internet. I think, in the year 2010 wi-fi is a must and it should be free for the guests of the hotel.
The hotel setting and amenities and care are all excellent. This is our 2nd very happy visit None
any friutis for breakfast (fresh!)
Very pretty and clean hotel and family who run it are really helpful and friendly No
Very quiet and peaceful. Fairly simple but functional, clean and nice, helpful owner. You need a car to access the main ski areas and restaurants etc. Although near a lift, it is a remote small ski area and not the main Champoluc area. If you have a car it is an easy drive down into Champoluc village.
kind staff, good breakfast, laptop provided by hotel for every room.
The location is great, the owner is helpful and makes a good breakfast. There's ample free public parking by hotel. Based on all the reviews we booked this hotel for the 2 of us. Our room was in the back with no views, no balcony and much too full with a double plus a bunk bed. When we booked the room description mentions a balcony, but only 2 rooms have one. Furthermore we couldn't really open a window for fresh air at night as all the windows opened on the landing. So check availablility if you want a balcony.
Very kind couple of young owners and builders, perfect room and bathroom for the price, free and efficient Wifi, free lending of a laptop if needed, good breakfast and caffè, views on beautiful and quite Ayas valley and surrounding Monta Rosa mountains, good restaurants at a walking distance in a lovely village ... a strike for me at this price! should be one hotel like this in every part of the world!
The hotel and room were very charming. The views were great. The staff was helpful and agreable.
We liked the friendliness, the nice breakfast och the calm ambiance.
The cleanliness of the room and the kindness of the staff. Also breakfast was really good
Federica and Gabriele who own and run the hotel made us feel so welcome. The hotel is very cosy with a comfortable bar to sit and relax with a drink after a good day's skiing. The children (8 & 11) loved the hotel.
Gabriel & Federicka and there staff were superb and super friendly, the food was great . I have been to all the top resorts in europe and the Montarosa Ski area is fantastic.and so is the Hotel Bellevue!!!
Very friendly and helpful staff. 3* hotel with everything to a very high standard. Great mountain views and central location
Friendly welcoming staff, beautiful hotel and nice room, excellent evening meal at a good price.
good food and services
Friendly personell and a caretaking manager/owner. Perfect for skiing and a good bar to relax in and have some drinks before and after dinner :-) Free snacks in the bar and some nice evening events were arranged. Fantastic extra service providing free offpist guides for all guests for a full day. I'll be glad to come back. Too hard beds which allso goes for the pillows. Better quilts would have been appreciated. No real al la cart meny, we had to pay for full half board for the evenings we ate at the resturant even though we didn't had the full menue (poorly explained).
We especially liked the large bar/lounge with comfortable sofas and newspapers. We also enjoyed the view from our rooms (with balcony). Nice atmosphere, good food, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I personally prefer duvets to blankets.
The family atmosphere
Really charming hotel and great friendly staff. Very homely with especially nice loung
Food, location, free parking, good window view. Some rooms are very small and it was quite cold inside.
The friendly atmosphere The bed and especially pillow
The ski slopes above Champoluc are good; long well groomed runs which however do not share the same fame as Megeve or Verbier. Reflecting the modest profile of the region, Le Petit Arbri is a functional friendy hotel with an Italian family atmosphere. It is situated a bit away from the village centre, but this ensures a quiet night's sleep.
Very friendly and helpful family team running the hotel. None
Staff were excellent, hotel was spotless. Food could be more varied i.e. Cater for vegetarians (not that I'm one but companion was)
Very peaceful location. Cleanliness of the hotel, warm and friendly atmosphere.. Hotel locates off the main street, bit tricky to find.
The staff were very helpful, they made us feel welcome. Had information on the area of Champoluc. The meals were not very filling.
skied. If had time would have looked at some of the historic towns further down the valley.
Excellent. Lovely family atmoshere and very personal service given. The food was excellent serving traditional italian cuisine. I would definitely return to this hotel - it is conveniently situated for the slopes, rooms are comfortable and it is a nice size. The spa is a welcome place to visit at the end of the day even though it is small and there is an additional charge for this. I would recommend this hotel for families and couples. The village is lovely bt it does not have a lively apres ski. Overall a great place.
