Cons: The itty bitty 1 tiny styrofoam cup coffee brewer and the terrible coffee for it! The bed was not very comfortable.
This was a business trip along with my wife. She was pleased with the room.
Pros: It was easy to find, clean and the staff was on their toes when we came to check in at what I would call way after hours. (12:30am)
Cons: Did not care that their wasn't much choice on the continental breakfast.
It was the worst hotel ever. I found bullets under my bed and different drug paraphernalia in my room. It was not worth the price. They also charged me for a second person in the room that never stayed overnight just visited. They wanted me to pay 5 dollars cash in order to give me a refund out that. The conditions were horrible. Breakfast sucked I found a bug in my food one of those days. There is not a lot of options for breakfast as the reviews said. Just cereal, bagels and packaged muffins. There were stains on all the bedding and the bedding did not fit the bed. The room smelled funny and it took over hour for them to give me my requests for new towels because the lady said they had to wash them before they could because there was not enough towels in the building. The alarm clock didn't work and neither did some of the plugins. The man at the front desk lied to my wife about what the charge was for and told her he didn't know because he thought our family friend which was a girl was my mistress even though she knew she was visiting. All Niall this place sucked and will never go again. I think i deserve a refund for all that bullshit.
Pros: Locked myself out of my room at 1:00 am. Woke the poor clerk up to get another key. Very nice about it. Clean and cheap. No frills but perfect if you are just using it to sleep and shower. Highly recommended.
Cons: If you check in after 10 p.m., you have to do so at an outdoor walk-up window. First, though, you ring the bell to wake up the clerk who will eventually come to the window. No free breakfast. There were a couple people loitering outside the rooms.
Cons: Hotel is not a two star. Barely a one star. Lobby a joke with ivy growing everywhere. After the first night the maids woke us up at 8 am to make up room when we would be there another night. No breakfast no nice toiletries.
Pros: it was close to were I wanted to be
Cons: they said they didn't get paid so they ran my card again so when I got home and checked my account I was charged by you and them I hope that gets fixed I am not paying double.
Cons: Definitely not a place to stay when it's cold outside! The heater never got the bathroom any kind of warm. Very old, but as clean as one would expect.
Pros: The price is right
Pros: Staff were Pleasant and helpful... centrally located and easy access in town
Cons: The carpets need to be replaced hand could smell mold in the air conditioner
Pros: Great stay!
Pros: Clean Room
Cons: Pool was closed for the summer
Pros: The rooms were very clean. It is the first time I have ever stayed at a motel where it looked nicer in person than in the pictures. They are definitely upgrading and fixing this place up.
Cons: The lobby, and sign could use better lighting.
Pros: I liked that they left us alone,we traveled with a pet,so, it was nice we were able to keep her in the room,(kenneled).it was a easy in and easy out,. it was rainy and cold, I would for sure stay again!
Cons: There was no remote,I never bothered them for one , we were barely in the room. The room was old school small. But, we were comfortable.
The motel was a good value for the price that I paid. I will stay there in the future.
Pros: They did a good job of correcting a problem that arose with my room.
Cons: Smells of alcohol and cigarettes in elevator. Odor in room and the microwave in my room did not work. Small Tv is the room.
Pros: Location is great, centrally located in the heart of this small town. The building is very unique, and is definitely one of the more unique hotels you'll stay in. Parking is pretty much door front as long as you arrive after 4PM. Other reviews said parking was limited, but we had no issues street side. In other reviews we heard the steam heat was noisy. We just heard an occasional click from the pipes, nothing bothersome. Breakfast was provided, and is the normal hotel waffle / cereal / fruit offerings. Bed was very comfortable, and the flat screen TV in such an old facility was a nice benefit. Just a note... If you're coming to Chanute for a weekend, be sure to check out all of the old shops downtown, along with some decent restaurants, a museum, and a four-plex movie theater all within walking distance.
Cons: Very few complaints. The on-site restaurant is closed. Not a big deal, but would have been a nice touch. The elevator is old and slow, but gets the job done. The biggest complaint would be the shower temp varies a bit during the course of a shower. Be close to the temperature knobs. None of these were big enough issues for us to not consider the hotel again.
