Pros: The pickup and drop off at the airport with simple and quick less than 5 minutes each time. Also the rental office is inside the airport so there's no shuttle that takes you to the car lot, they are right there in the terminal! We also had a brand new car that had only 200 kilometers on the odometer. Leather seats and all the options were included in our rental was super cheap, great pricing for the quality. Overall I would rent from this office again they were fantastic and the customer service was great. Only piece of advice was to either bring your own GPS then download Canada maps, or make sure your phone is usable in Canada. The GPS rental is more expensive than the car rental per day so we opted not to do it but driving around Alberta is easy

Clean you car inside
Pros: Standard car...
Cons: Arrived at midnight - first car offered was dirty, inside and out.
Replacement car offered but process took half hour.
Budget reluctant to offer like-for-like replacement despite having many cars available (as confirmed by agent's colleague). Car also poorly cleaned and 30,000 k, but not worth the long walk back.
What's with extra charge for snow tyres at 15 dollars per day? Are we renting out unsafe cars?
Snow brush broken and useless for scraping off ice. Used credit card instead.

Pros: Quick Check In and Check Out. We were upgraded to a larger SUV without asking, which was helpful.
When we found that the first vehicle had been through some sort of interior carpet cleaning routine and all of the floors were soaked, they quickly switched us into another vehicle with no issues.

Sketchy rental experience
Pros: Front desk attendants were professional.
Cons: Car had multiple scratches and dents, including two small cracks in the windshield that were not noted. Had to return twice to have them documented. Large scratch not noted on form, but had a "sticker" near it on the car to show that they were aware of it. Nice, and when the sticker comes off, then what? Finally, there were no gas stations within 15 minutes of the airport, and all were closed at 6:00am. Not unlikely, but unusual. It would make a significant difference in loyalty to the brand if they were to share minor details like this when renting. Otherwise, you'll end up returning a half full tank so you can catch your flight.

good value for the money!
Pros: I was picking the car up at Calgary Intl. Airport. I loved the location of the rental company, literally across the street from the arrivals. I also liked the fact that Budget is opened late, until 1 or 2am.

Pros: The staff at Budget Calgary were very good and friendly. Got me in and out quickly for both pick up and drop off.
Cons: The rental ended up being more than the quoted rate. Poor business.

Cons: The biggest problem was the drop off in banff. It is in the basement of a parking garage, that is gated. The gate only says reserved/private, but a clerk at the grocery store knew that if you pull up to the door it opens automatically. Once we learned this it was ok but it took over an hour and questioning 4 local vendors to get to that infi

Choice of cars
Cons: I didn't get the vehicle I expected. The vehicle I got had a lot less storage and the had the vehicle I expected available.
I was only notified the morning of pick up, and was asked to look for another company for my rental.
The vehicle I received had the same amount of seating but a lot less luggage room than the vehicle I ordered. My guests had sit sit with luggage on the laps.
The agent I felt with when returning the vehicle was extremely rude and argued with me about getting a receipt for returning the vehicle because it had not been entered in their system. I asked for a hand written receipt and she started shouting at me.
