They didn’t accept Apple Pay or tap and Inhad to pay for an Lyft that cost me $330. The Alamo in Medellin Colombia accepted Apple Pay/ tap and I was able to rent a car there, so why would I not be able to rent a car in the United States. I was very disappointed in the quality of service I got there at the Alamo in LA. They left me stressed out and basically left me stranded. I will never recommend this rental location to anyone ever in my life!

I left a poor review solely on the fact that o booked a one way to get home from Birmingham. The website said I had booked it and it would be waiting on me. When I got to Birmingham, the counter said national didn’t do one day rentals - which is fine, but please don’t tell me the rental is available while I’m in Amsterdam and then when I get to the USA, find out there are no cars available. That was not a good experience. Granted 2 days of canceled flights didn’t help. I just want you to know so no one else has their car rental canceled and gets stuck like I did.

I was never able to pick up a vehicle. When I arrived, I was told they only had cars available for people with reservations. I showed them my confirmation number from Kayak and was told they only had cars for people who booked direct. It was after midnight and the other rental agencies were closed, so I went without a car until the following morning. Very disappointing experience.

I DID NOT GET A CAR. !! At least not from National. They told me they had no record of my payment online on their end. I paid ahead with klarna. I will say, there was a manager, FERNANDO, who ran around and called other places to find me a car. I had to ride share to a second location ( different company ( enterprise). I had to rent all over, so basically double paid. I don’t see any refund from klarna as of yet. I have previously rented with kayak and no problem. Just gave the credit card $300 dep. Big headache. No more National. They just kept saying don’t use 3rd party companies. I use Expedia regularly with no problem and have used kayak as well. It makes no sense. Now I need to get the charge off of my klarna account!!!

The car was great and the Enterprise staff were great. A consistent problem is the lack of staffing. There are 2-3 people that are doing EVERYTHING and they are doing it well, but wait times are much longer than they should be. Corporate properly staffing the office would solve this issue.

45 minutes after leaving the rental counter with pick up the "low tire pressure " light came on in the dash. Stopped at a nearby gas station on the interstate and put in air and realized after driving and it happened again-there must be a slow leak. contacted Sixt from the road-now nearly 2 hours from car pick up and 20 minutes from parents house. they told me-its my problem-they do NOT offer roadside! either bring it to the nearest center (an hour and a half away) or fix it and then maybe we will cover it when you bring it back with the receipt. 3 hours later we get an email-your "damages" claim has been filed! Tried calling to clarify its NOT damage we caused-its a slow leak-and we've filled it up 3 times now and were trying to do the right thing. They wanted NOTHING to hear of it and NO roadside isn't an option unless its a wreck. I've NEVER had such cr@p customer service in my life and I travel extensively! NEVER AGAIN. they still show it as a "damage claim". They can argue it out with AMEX now!

Overall I thought it was a good experience. Was 39 mins late with drop off due to traffic and was charged an extra day. Was told about “all the tolls” and encouraged to purchase the toll package and did not go over a single toll bridge. Had explained my travel to the representative and she was insistent on my purchasing the package. Package cost me $60 and no toll bridge crossed. Other than these two curious actions the experience was acceptable.

My experience with Avis was horrible. There was a deposit policy that wasn’t clearly stated and the money couldn’t be split between 2 credit cards. They didn’t accept cash or debit cards, making my reservation obsolete. When I asked the clerk if there was anything I could do, he seemed to take a little pleasure in telling me there was nothing he could do. Instead of being stranded in Nashville with an Avis reservation I couldn’t redeem, I went across to Enterprise and rented a nice vehicle through them with no deposit on the spot. I would never rent through Avis because there are too many strict rental restrictions that make a recreational traveler inconvenienced.

They called an hour prior to my pickup time to tell me that there were no cars available at that location. I had to Uber to the airport location 30 min away and wait in line for over 30 min for them to send me to the Avis desk. They remade me reservation and everything was great from there on but the inconvenience of it all was really disappointing.

Hertz did not have a 12-passenger van available at reservation date/time. I had eight family members, two in car seats, waiting to be picked up at 9:00 am, and I was told to leave and to return at noon to see if a van had become available. Then, they changed to “we’ll call you when one becomes available”. Offered a minivan or a Suburban in lieu, even though I told them I had nine passengers. Did not seek a van from another location. Said they could not refund me because I had pre-paid. Found another rental agency with a 12-passenger van at IAD and paid a premium for the rental, but wasn’t going to make my family wait until Hertz bothered to find a van. Complete ripoff, dishonest agency.

Great experience all around but the location and drop off in Miami is a pain. I went around in circles for 30 mins until I finally found the place. Also you have to go up to level 5 and then come back down to level and 1 to check out. Not ideal . Car was clean and employees great .

Very good. One suggestion would be to emphasize when they leave to get the rental from the office make sure they understand that They must fill out the sheet of paper outlining nicks, dings and/or scrapes, no matter the time of night or day, BEFORE they get to the exit of the rental car place. That was just a little bit unclear to us.

I paid for a Ford Transit van or similar through Kayak, and at pickup was told that type of van would not be available to me. A Kia carnival was the largest van I was told in the category that I ordered. Clearly there is an issue in communication and transparency between the reservation process through Kayak and what Dollar claims is ordered. I wanted a large van to move luggage for a school field trip and was extremely dissatisfied that I did not receive what I had reserved.

I arrived with my reservation and they didn’t have any cars. They told me I’d need to go somewhere else. Other rental companies were booked up because of a big F1 races and the few available cars at other rental companies were triple the price. I ended up without a car for a weekend with my elderly grandmother who is 96. It’s irresponsible to confirm a reservation is there isn’t a car available!

They require a $500 deposit which is insane and ridiculous. I had to cancel my entire trip because I didn't have the $500 deposit. I needed that $500 for my trip, I didn’t have that money to give to them so they can hold onto it for fun.

Not good. I had 1.5 hours to wait in line to make my appointment. After an hour 3 people had been serviced and 6 were in front of me. I had to get an Uber. The appointment was the main purpose of my reservation and flight in from Minnesota. The lady working the counter mentioned a couple people had called in sick that were scheduled. I’ll be seeking a full rebate.

Landed at the airport in Maui and went to the shuttle pick up. Our name was on the pick up list but "it wasn't highlighted" therefore the driver wasn't "allowed" to drive us to the office for our car. Come to find out it's because ACE gave away our car, despite having a reservation. This left us stranded at 445pm and scrambling to find a rental car. They gave away their last vehicle around 9am too and at no point decided to email, text or call me to at least let me know so I could find other accommodations. DO NOT RENT FROM ACE.

I had to go next door to budget to avoid getting scammed. No problems at budget. ACE is just a scam . I would avoid if possible

We rented in Las Vegas and they are off site...as in a shuttle to a another shuttle. It looked sketchy. Like what were we getting into. Mainly the problem was NV has a new law as of Oct 2025 requiring a certain amount of liability insurance. Fine, but who brings their auto insurance card with them on vacation? We didn't plan on renting a car and at no point do any of the apps warn or tell you, that you may want to bring your car insurance information with you or up your amounts prior if renting in NV. They wanted to charge $50 a day on top of my rental rate. The guy next to me had his state minimums and they were not high enough so he had to pay the $50 and he wasn't prepared for that. These companies need to do better to warn us but they won't. Just a big money grab in a state that already nickel and dimes you to death. Also the line and process were sooo long and slow. One of the CS reps was so chatty and actually pulled out his phone to talk about his hike to red rocks. Like SIR, there at 15 people in line here. Also why am I paying $65 for the extra insurance coverage when I made the reservation, then you want to charge me more? Why are you asking me tons of questions when I answered those on the app. Like what is that information for if you are going to ask me again in person and no I don't want to pay more for an upgrade. When you leave you get hounded by the show sales people. The walk around and photos of every inch of the car. Come on take a video, I haven't had that with any other company in years. The return was the easiest and fastest part. Next time I will use a regular name brand rental company. Not their fault about the new law but still an email or test message advising of this prior would have been nice and given me time to contact my insurance company to email me.

!!!I WILL NEVER RENT A VEHICLE THROUGH KAYAK OR WITH THRIFTY AGAIN!!! Kayak offers an option to purchase insurance, but it does not apply to Thrifty vehicles. As a result, I had to buy additional insurance directly from Thrifty to ensure our rental was covered for the trip. The total cost ended up being over $600 — and that does not include the 5-day rental itself.

My flight was delayed by many hours. I was not able to get to the Thrifty counter before it closed. Although I kept Thrifty apprised of these delays thruout the evening, they still have not honored my request for a full refund. I will need to contact my credit card company to deal with this.

We waited for almost an hour for the pick up shuttle, 30 minutes at their office and the car was still not ready 90 minutes after the scheduled reservation. We reserved a full size vehicle and received a Toyota Corolla which is definitely full size and then it smelled like weed inside. The only positive was returning the car and being done with them.

Location is not close to the airport. Agent tried to scam me and wanted to charge me for unlimited mileage saying that I am a local renter though i had a GA license. He incorrectly showed me some fine print policy and when i read through it closely, it did not apply to my situation. I would not recommend Easirent. It took a long time for the company to pick me up at the airport. They didn’t include a contact phone number on my confirmation email. I did some research and found their phone number but when I called no one would answer the phone. I reserved a SUV but when I arrived at the rental office they said they didn’t have any clean SUVs. The SUV they assigned to me was filthy, had someone’s personal items in it, and had body damage. I refused to take the SUV so they gave me a sedan without refunding the additional money I paid for an SUV. The sedan they gave me had all sorts of dents and scratches which they didn’t document until I made I made an issue out of it. To top things off the sedan was low on windshield washer fluid, had only 8% oil life remaining, and it only had 1/8 of a tank of gas at pickup.

Regarding this it was a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience when collecting my rental vehicle. Upon arrival at the counter, I was pressured into purchasing additional products and coverages that I did not request, agree to, or need. I was told these items were mandatory and that the insurance I already held through Expedia “wasn’t valid” and that I should “contact Expedia” instead. This information was misleading and felt deliberately manipulative. I was also charged for services I did not use, including being made to sign for items such as a bus transfer that I never took, yet was still billed for. The counter agent’s behaviour was unprofessional and unacceptable (sanoe). She was rude, dismissive, and gave me an ultimatum: either pay the added charges and hurry up as she can’t waste her time with me as customer waiting or leave without a vehicle and with no refund. This felt coercive and left me with no genuine choice. This experience not only resulted in unauthorised charges, but also ruined the start of my holiday. I believe I was misled, upsold without consent, and effectively defrauded.

Europcar is actually Fox Rental. The agent at the check in counter was not able to explain why I had to answer certain questions (got example why was being asked to sing to confirm I have not taken an airport shuttle to get to their office). I've also asked for no insurance extras to be added. After dropping off the car I've realized they've added LDW and LRP optional insurance. I have a feeling I will never see these refunded, despite having asked for no extras at pick up. Just another zero transparency car rental company. The car was dirty on the inside, full of crumbs, a half empty bottle and napkins. The drop off process was quick however and someone assisted me right away. They location of the drop off is not too far from the escalator to the terminal shuttle.

Very poor service. I was given the wrong address for picking the car up so had to take multiple Ubers to and from the airport, hotel, etc. to get the car. Also, my flight home was delayed so I needed the car an extra couple of hours and they charged me $100 for that. Lots of hidden fees too that I wasn't in the mood to argue with them about. Just a horrible experience with them, but the car was fine at least.

Apparently advantage at MCO ceased doing business the weekend prior to my rental. And offloaded reservations to Zezgo rental cars. So the pickup instructions were wrong. It was in a different location. Even further away. Upon arrival. It was lined up out the door. Two people working the counters. The several interactions I watched lacked professionalism. After 25 minutes, I decided it wasn’t worth the effort. And departed. Be advised. Any monetary savings that might be perceived with renting from This company is not worth the time, effort and the inconvenience.

I waited in line for about 30 minutes and then had to wait about another 20 minutes for someone to bring my car to me. Other rental car companies figure out long ago how to have your keys ready for you and tell you which spot to walk to. A long line for check-in and filling out forms is beyond their control if many flights arrive at the same time, etc. But the process of getting your keys and walking to your car should be so much easier. My car was fine - the outside was noticeably damaged with scrapes and dents. If I hadn't already waited nearly an hour for it, I might have asked for a different car, but I didn't want to chance one more hour. On the postive side, the price was far better than most other companies hear DIA.

the rental experience wasnt good: i arrived the office to pick up the car, the employee treated me very bad (she didnt seem to be in a good mood), and then charged me wrong in my credit card. i had to made a number of phone calls later to cancel those wrong charges in my card. i will not use nextcar next time

Pretty good experience. The first car they tried to give us had cloth seats. No problem with that except I guess when they cleaned it on the inside, they shampooed them and the back was drenched. There was no way we could take that car, so we were able to switch with no problem. The only thing I didn't like was that car hadn't been washed at all on the outside. Had to stop and clean the windows because it was hard to see.

Customer service was ok even though she would continually stop to be on her cell phone. The quality of the van was horrible. It was dirty inside and out. Windshield had streaks and a film on the inside that we couldn't see through at times in certain light. Sooooo DIRTY!!! And the gas tank was empty. We told customer service and they said there was a gas station just up the street and that we should be ok. They didn't even come out to verify. Which means they knew the condition of the Van. We had to immediately stop, fill up the tank and clean the van windows and seats and run it through the car wash. The van also smelled of marijuana. DISGUSTING! We have never had this kind of experience with any of our rentals with other companies.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a car rental agency. The car alarm repeatedly went off when we tried to open the car with the key. We contacted the company and they refused to bring us a new rental. Their solution was for us to go to an auto parts store to replace fob key on our vacation. Also the blinker did not work. Then the battery went dead and we missed 1 hour of my sister’s wedding reception. Also the communication about shuttle pick up was false causing us to have to walk from car rental depot to get rental. The company also does not answer their phones. Overall horrible experience. Do not use this company!

This was the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. Their directions were to call a number when ready to be picked up at Atlanta airport. They didn’t answer several calls. After calling a number I found online I talked to someone in California who had difficulty accessing directions. After asking numerous people at airport where the pickup point was we finally were picked up. All this took almost an hour. When we arrived at the lot, we found AVR in a shack that was in a very large lot that was owned/run by Jiffy car rental. We were the only ones waiting for a car and it took over an hour because the lady was unable to get us checked out because she said they were having WiFi problems. Ultimately, I had to go on their website and input all my information again. Rediculous! The return was also time consuming and weird. I had to go to the back of the Jiffy lot, take a picture of the car, and send an email to AVR before they would pick us up. THE WORST! Never again!

The price that they quoted us ended up being way more expensive on top of that they still haven't returned or deposit and it's been over 20 days, the car was in pristine condition we dropped it off full tank of gas nothing was wrong. The first time I called they said that it would be returned within 7 to 15 business days and that I could call back after that if it hasn't happened. I just called them and it's been over 20 days and he was trying to give me some excuse that they told him that it was going to be 30 to 40 days and when I asked him to clarify that he said he was going to call me back and he hung up. Terrible terrible company I really want a refund if I'm being honest I'll never use Kayak again if this is the kind of things that happen when you do

This car rental location never answers the phone. Never returned my calls and left 4 msgs to no avail. My trip was canceled and I was requesting cancelation or reschedule for refund. Initially when I scheduled from Kayaks referral the man who answered was rude and unprofessional. I just need to clarify whether my Credit Card was charged and receive a refund. Terrible service at the office. The wait to check in was over an hour. There was an endless series f confusing charges on top of the advertised price. Finally, there was a $2500 deposit before I could rent the car. I will never use this company again and will never recommend it to anyone.

The worst! Flight delayed, hard time to find a proper communication channel, was able to WhatsApp them about the delay, but when I got to the counter the guy started with “Since you didn’t show up at 6am it’s been 8 hours and we cancelled your reservation, you have to find an email from Expedia and fill up this and that”. I had no Expedia email, somehow made the guy stop with that and continued processing my rental but was a pain, 30 minutes at the counter to collect your information, trying to make you pay for their insurance even if my GEICO insurance binder says it covers rental cars up to 100k value and I had additional insurance through my American Express which charges me extra $17.95 for every rental car I book because they have this extra insurance. The guy wanted to read the contract to me. I signed it, you don’t have to read. Let’s talk about SHUTTLE…. Don’t rely on their shuttle. It’s bogus. Monday afternoon an 15 people were seating there on the ground outside 45+ minutes waiting for the shuttle. I ended up calling an uber as many did too. Be aware of the hassle. On drop off they have nobody to receive the car, you park there and leave the keys. If someone park beside and ding your door, you better have proof. 5 days later and the hold on my card is still there.

I never rented the car. I arrived at the desk only to find The were refusing a one-way rental. A few days later I learned they charged my card for the rental anyway. Multiple attempts to call their office and no one answers or calls back so leaving a voicemail is a waste of time. Their reviews are awful, I wish I had read them beforehand. Our plane was delayed and we found out the night before. We tried calling priceless but no answer around 8pm so we sent a text that our plane was delayed 5 hours and we wanted our pickup time delayed 5 hours from 2pm to 7pm. Then the next morning which was the day of our flight we called again and this time spoke to a representative. We were told "just call us when you land in Tampa and we will send a shuttle to bring you to get your car. When we landed we called for a shuttle and were told your car has been rented, if you don't show up within 2 hours of your rental time we rent your car to someone else. We ended up going to Hertz in the airport and renting a car for a lot more money than what we had set up with payless. Worthless customer service.

Rental was actually conducted remotely and the agent's Internet connection kept dropping. I was forced to sign and initial a document I couldn't see so I had no idea what I was signing. I wasn't told that foreign third-party liability insurance was not acceptable so I was forced to pay even more for the rental so there was no real savings from the alternatives. The pickup point at the airport was not clearly described so I wasted time waiting in the wrong location.

We were told that we needed to buy the extra Sunpass because Miami is full of tolls. We described where we would drive for 3 days and were told there would be lots of tolls on those roads. In the end, we only went through two tolls and paid over $60 extra for a sunpass we hardly used. It would have been better off to pay separately. Additionally, we were charged an extra 3rd party liability insurance fee and were told we could not rent the car without it. I did some research later and could not find that this is a requirement. I feel like what started out as a good deal through KAYAK ended up costing us another $200 in the end.

Extra “fees” taxes, etc. Had no choice but to take what was given considering we were out of town and the rental car place is off site from the airport. Given a terrible vehicle. Dents, dings all over, needed wheel alignment, suspension squeaking, wheel shaking, had to fill up tires multiple times.

This was very difficult. I hated the entire experience Off airport is fine but talking to the agent through a screen in a small glass closet is not. Hard to understand made me worry about what the end cost was going to be. Wanted to charge me an addional amount per day because of my age. But then he said he could work a deal . Then he listed all the charges for car damage bla blah bla so scary. When he but the agreement on the screen it was difficult to read because of the font. By this time it's dark you cannot see if or where any damage to the car is scary again. Turned the car in on time wanted to get an all clear on damages to the car but that agent didn't speak English. Thank goodness for my Uber driver he spoke Spanish and got the all clear but no receipt. I will NEVER use again. Sandra

I have used them before and liked the experience of the rental via TV. That part was still excellent and the return was also excellent. BUT it took almost 30 minutes for a shuttle, then there were so many people that it took ten minutes to load the luggage on the shuttle and the shuttle was so crowded that some people had to stand up in the van. The van driver was very, very nice, but the vans aren't frequent enough. It was made worse by only two of the four televisit kiosks working. It took FOREVER. They need to add more van service during high volume times. And they need to make sure that all kiosks are working and probably add two kiosks. There was a line of five people when I arrived and a line of five people when I left to get my car. The fellow on the tele rental was excellent. He could see that I had rented from them before and it made the process easier.

Pickup was slow, and we had to call to get it moving. On a Saturday morning. Transport back to airport was also slower, and the driver was having a heated argument with someone there on the phone as well, making us pretty uncomfortable. Forced to purchase additional insurance, even though I purchased insurance through Kayak and also have my own that covers me in the USA. Would have been cheaper and more accommodating to pay the higher rental rates at the airport, rather than wait almost an 1/2 hour for the shuttle, 15 min drive to place, 1/2 hr at the desk, then 15 min drive back to pick up wife, disabled child and all the luggage and items that comes with having a disable child. (Wheelchair, Commode). To top it off, they didn't have the size of vehicle I prepaid for an reserved. For the timing part, I will take it as a Live an Learn, but I would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND this place for rentals.

They draw you in with low rate advertising, and bait and switch with hidden additional fees. Since you are infront of them off site from the airport you don't have very good choice to reject their final contract and return to the airport. They basically have you infront of you and leave you little choice but to accept their contract. Very bad business practice. Buyer beware. The car was fine, it just ends up being over-priced in the end. READ THE TERMS and compare those terms with others BEFORE you book!

They never came to pick us up at the airport and we had to rent a car from another rental agency. We were texting and speaking to them immediately after we landed and they kept telling us someone would be there to shuttle us to the car rental agency but no one ever showed up until they finally closed for the night and then no one would answer the phone when we called. They wasted an hour an a half of my time promising us that a shuttle was on the way but no one ever came and we had to take an Uber to our hotel. So terrible experience with Kayak and OtoQ

None of the people I did speak with could tell me when a shuttle would arrive to transport my family and I to the rental company. After an hour I gave up and got a rental from another company. Manipulated into having to spend an extra $755 for mandatory insurances and lied to about the sun pass. As we only went through one toll. They claimed there’d be soooo many. Gave use a low battery key fob and did not reimburse us for having to buy our own battery due to the stress of it dying and leaving us stranded. When asked for some customer service and compensation. We were ghosted through their email and then said they couldn’t help us at drop off and that I had to email the people that weren’t responding to us. I wonder if you guys could help since you made the deal so goddamn attractive online to only set us up for the trap we were about to walk into. Terrible experience. Won’t be recommending and will be actively trying to make people avoid their business unless I’m given some customer service at some point :)

It was a bait and switch, so many add on fees and was told I was required to take insurance with them. The employee was rude and the answer was always, "everyone charges those fees". Will never deal with this company again, mostly because of the attitude and the over charge. If I was not abandoned there I would have gone to a reputable company. The rental agency Victory would not agree to rent me the vehicle I had already paid for without taking 270$ of insurance, despite me showing proof that my personal insurance was covering me for any rental issues…Maurizio told me if I don’t pay it I cannot have the car! Then trying to reach anyone for drop off changes was very difficult and no refund offered on the insurance hen our trip was shortened and carrerurned 3 days early. Feeling scammed and disappointed

I was a little wary about going with a local car rental agency -- I've gotten cars that weren't clean or smelled smoky. Black & White were extremely polite, professional and prompt. I was picked up in an impeccably clean Suburban, and the car I got (Toyota Corolla) was very clean and worked well. As a female, some of these car rental agencies don't feel safe and seem sketchy, but this agency was not one of them. I would 100% recommend them again, and I will definitely see if they have a car for me the next time I need a car from LAX.

Friendly counter staff, but they were making everyone scan a QR code and give them a 5 star review before they would give you a car. Very odd. They also charged way too much for this car but I needed it and they were the only ones with cars. It’s a fine line between charging what the market will bear and price gouging. The car was smaller (and cheesier) than what I ordered. It was like driving a Coke can. Finally, when my plans changed and I needed to return the car early, they would not refund the difference. They cited a paragraph in their contract, which was literally far too small to read. Overall not a good experience.

Kayak makes u think you’re getting a great deal but when you get to the rental spot they charge u all this extra fees and bullshit even when you have full coverage to begin with. The shuttle process is slow even though they say they run “every 10 minutes” … better off just booking legit through a real company.

The pickup address was WRONG. I wasted 1-2hrs just trying to find the location. The email had no customer service line. I ended up finding it myself. There was only one person at the booth and she didn’t ignored me, so I ended up wasting another 30 minutes just waiting. The check in service was self serve but no sign even mentions that at the location. The insurance charge is slapped on last minute which is extremely annoying. The car I ordered wasn’t in stock so I was given a completely different one. The car itself smelled bad and the windshield looked like it had grease on it, so everything looked blurry while driving. I was required to pay extra for their insurance although I have my own full coverage which covers rentals. The only option was to pay $145 extra for their liability insurance or try to cancel through the third party I rented through and find a new vehicle. Additionally I had to wait for an hour on my vehicle which was already supposed to be ready when I arrived.

What a rip-off! $321 for 4 days for a Toyota Camry that stunk, rattled, and was not in the best of shape. I thought since the advertised price was $14/ day, plus the $90 insurance I purchased would be it. The girl at the desk told me that Florida requires this insurance and that insurance and this coverage. She lied. I found out after the fact all the things she said were untrue. For this price, I could have gotten a nicer car, with a reputable company, and felt so much better about my first-time renting a car in another state.

They charge a low upfront cost then force you to buy insurance based on predatory terms and conditions. I’m over insured. Never had a single car rental company in 10+ years deny my person insurance but this one said it was inadequate and charged me over 3 times the original booking cost for supplemental insurance. It’s a scam. It’s super cheap when you book and then they pick you up at the airport, shuttle you to the middle of nowhere, and tell you it’s an extra $30/day required for their third party insurance or they won’t give you the keys. We ended up calling to complain and they did nothing except allow us to cancel and get a refund. I’m grateful for that at least, but even then they said they’re doing it as a courtesy and it’s our fault for not reading the fine print (which they don’t send until AFTER you pay). Go with Thrifty instead.

I booked an 8-passenger vehicle with Carwiz well in advance, but when I arrived to pick it up, they told me it wasn’t available. No explanation, no real apology — just a choice between a refund or a 7-passenger van. With 8 people and luggage to transport, we were left with no real option but to take the smaller van. As a result, one of our passengers had to sit on the floor in the middle of the vehicle — not only incredibly uncomfortable, but clearly unsafe and irresponsible. Carwiz put us in a terrible position and didn’t offer any reasonable alternative or compensation beyond a vague apology. This kind of service is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with transportation and safety. I won’t be booking with Carwiz again, and I suggest others think twice before trusting them with group travel.

rental was 300 but insurance was 700 + tolls were 200 those huge extra costs were nowhere to be found on kayak. on the website, insurance was 260 and the only reason why we did not buy it online (together with the car rental) is that terms were not clear, and we intended to discuss them in person. big mistake: since they charged us almost 3 times as much for insurance! And tolls? they wanted to charge us 25 dollars (plus the cost of the actual tolls, obviously) for every time we would take a toll road... that's crazy! basically we were forced to purchase "unlimited tolls" for 200 dollars, something never heard of. Besides the extortion, we had to wait well over 1 hour at the car pickup before victorycar empoyee picked us up. And they knew we had been standing there since second 1, because they immediately replied to out whatsapp messages. The car was fine, but the overall experience was bad.

Sorry was the worst experience ever no one at airport knew this company. I even rented a taxi to take me to the car rental and the taxi man drove me around around the airport charged me $40 and did not find a set car rental called them numerous of times never answered finally they answered pick me up 45 to an hour later went to pick up the car was not very happy with the car they wanted to give me so I had to walk out and leave and I’m just waiting for a refund. Absolutely terrible company. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have asked for a refund and had to go with a different rental upon landing in Florida. They tried to take a $3000 deposit even though we already had external insurance. They advertise that they're in the airport which they are not, and they didn't even offer a shuttle - they told us to Uber. Upon looking at reviews, many people said that they kept and wouldn't return the deposits claiming unreal damages. They also tried to do additional toll charges and other random shady things, that they communicated through text. Also, when they asked for the $3000 deposit, and we tried to escalate it since it was completely unheard of, they didn't say anything and changed the contract back to $500 without telling us (to delete the evidence). Terrible, terrible, terrible company. Pay more and go with a reputable service.

Worst rental experience ever. Waited over 45 minutes at designated shuttle pickup location outside terminal as noted in recorded directions, which said shuttle arrives every 15 minutes. Unable to reach live representative when tried to reach company on phone. Never saw Zoom branded shuttle thus had to pivot to different rental provider due to spouse losing their patience and two young kids growing incredibly impatient. Zoom Rent A Car or whomever the subsidiary operates under should be banned or revoked further listing on Kayak. Was unable to reach representative at any point.

The good: they had a car as promised. The not good: they lured me in with a “too good to be true” price a week prior to arrival; then informed me I needed to carry an absurd amount of insurance on my policy, otherwise I need to purchase their insurance at $35 per day. No effort was made to make me aware of this policy prior to arriving. By then you’ve taken the shuttle way outside the airport; and your basically stuck with a huge bill you weren’t planning on. Better to be upfront with customers re: the real cost of the rental before committing to it. But again, they did have a car available.

Disappointed enough to not request more of your services because I closed the business and when I arrived at the agency they demanded a new insurance and asked me for an extra $650. Everything must be dealt with before, both the price, requirements and documentation and when the client pays, the business is closed, and it is criminal that we cleinyes are surprised when we arrive for what we buy or lease. President Baiden said that these bad practices must end so that there is confidence and business is generated in the country. You are ruining the system. Now I want my money back in full since I had to rent a car elsewhere.

When booking the rental car it was not clear that the rental car location was off the airport property. Also, we were required to pay for a toll activation fee of $20/day and had to purchase insurance for $30/day. These fees were not disclosed until we got to the desk. Also, there is only an hour pickup window, and we were hassled because our flight was delayed. There is a $500 security deposit. The additional fees charges at the time we picked up the car were an additional $350 on top of what we had already paid to reserve the car. Do not recommend booking with this company.

This is borderline not a real company. I am not a regular car renter and just pick from the top of the list on kayak for price. The ad said "in terminal" which was more appealing than taking the train and long shuttle. Not only was it not in the thermal, after getting to where all the normal major brands were located, there was no signs, no indicators of where to go. This caused some panic. I referent the booking receipt that was so vague it had just an address. I asked one of the floor brokers and he said he would call the guy and send someone to get me and to wait at a bus terminal. It was not marked or had any indicators of any kind. At that time I looked up reviews and it made me sick. Never more than a one star. I rebooked another common brand on the spot and wasn't going that route..

Firefly rental car in San Jose California is something that does not exist!! There was no pick up or drop off or any type of car rental. no such thing as firefly Rent-A-Car.

Our credit card insurance (visa infinite) was not accepted and they tried to make us pay $50/day for their insurance. We would not pay it.

Staff did not understand the english language, desk was not at the airline terminal as advertised, could not get anyone to pick us up at the terminal, had to make a phone call to get someone to pick us up at the terminal, coverage I paid for was not of any value so I had to buy additional coverage, did not get a car I asked for, took so long to finally get my car I was 3 hours late arriving at my destination.
