This hotel was well situated for my needs. The grounds are extensive and attractive. There is good car parking. The Internet was now available in the room. The actual building is on the shabby side and needs a bit of an update but this is compensated by the fact that the staff were helpful and attentive and the rooms clean and comfortable. Some of the younger people were still learning the job but were pleasant and keen. The food was much better than on previous visits. I understand they are under new management and improvements are apparent.
There was a bit of confusion in the bar about the billing and they were out of gin!
Good location for me.
The bedroom carpet didn't look like it had been vacuumed, the room decor was old and tired, particularly the bathroom. The TV didn't work until I asked for someone to fix it. All in all it was ok but they could do with some proper draught cask ale in the bar. The usual popular tasteless fizz "beer" you get in a lot of these places is dire.
Peaceful - I was stressed out!
Wouldn't mind breakfast in room - didn't want to go down
Accommodation was poor and restaurant was diabolical!
Being given a table in the corridor because the restaurant needed cleaning.
The location was good we needed easy access to Amersham.
The room was very dated window didn’t open properly due to being faulty. Lots of limescale in bathroom black silicone around bath you could see where the toilet had been replaced at some point as the floor hadn’t been changed and there was a gap.
