This was a great value. By far the cheapest hotel I could find in Chicago (that didn’t seem murdery) and it was even better than expected! Spacious, clean rooms and a nice staff were there to greet us when we arrived. This was the perfect place to come back to after a long day!
The location was the only thing close to a downfall. Just not the most scenic surroundings. I LOVED being this close to Chinatown though. Would gladly Stay here again.
Pretty good for a visit
Big soaker tub was a pleasant surprise! Great location and parking.
Other guests were fairly loud but it didn't last long into the night.
Good value but there is nothing within walking distance
It is an inexpensive hotel within walking distance of the Expo Center but you wouldn't want to walk there without protection. Rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable
The area is really ugly and dilapidated. There are no restaurants or shops within walking distance and the small cafe in the Hotel is inadequate for anything other than breakfast. Don't plan on doing much else besides sleeping at this place.
Was clean. Provided what I needed. Decent price for downtown Chicago area.
Clean but No Amenities!!
Rooms nice enough and it passed my bed bug check too!
The restaurant is closed for renovation, the cafe is closed Monday for breakfast. No tea at all in the hotel room or in fact anywhere in the hotel. Staff tried to help, but they were closed or out of everyone I needed.
parking facilities not able to accomadate guest.
the room was nice
the accomadations, the parking the restaurants, the lobby. the staff was not very accomadating, will not be staying here againt
Gets the job done
Rooms were huge. Not one, but two bars attached to the hotel. Staff was quite friendly. Security guard posted in lobby. Complimentary parking offered with room.
Location is not very good. Looks nicer online than it actually is. Not thoroughly clean.
Very noisy. Next to train tracks and must be near
Got the job done without frills
Free parking, huge bathtub, large room.
No breakfast, had a bathroom light not working.
Cold Showers, Not As Close to Convention Center As
We stayed for 5 days while the Nation Art Education Association conference was underway at the McCormick Center. We chose this hotel because it appeared to be a very short cab ride to the convention. The way the roads are (and due to the size of the convention center), it cost the same to get to the convention as it did to go all the way north into downtown. Even though the convention center is only about 1 mile away, we didn't feel safe walking the distance (it is creepily "warehousey" in this area). The worst issue was that every day we were there, we were unable to have a hot shower. The front desk claimed that it was due to the volume of guests showering at the same time, however we tried different times of the day to no avail. If you are looking for an affordable option with easy access to McCormick, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
Very clean. Staff was very efficient. Room recently remodeled - very nice. Free parking was a nice perk. Located close to McCormick Place where I attended an event.
It was very clean and the tub was very deep. The bed was comfortable. Room service was prompt, the front desk agents we're great. I can definitely say that this facility is appropriate for a business trip, or if you are traveling alone. It wasn't a bad stay, it just wasnt what i expected i guess. But everyone was helpful and nothing went wrong.
The room was smaller than i expected. The lobby area and first floor are very nice, while the rooms are plain and need a few updates. The food in the cafe is good but is overprice for the portion size you receive. There are no microwaves in the room which is a big inconvenience. Aside from the tub i wouldn't characterize it as romantic. And by the microwave bring on the first floor i wouldn't say it was good for extended stay. The tub had a few rust spots also.
