The friendly and helpfull attitude of the staff, the very nice, clean state of the entire hotel. The comfort level of the furniture.
Well appointed hotel that provides all the facilities needed for a short break.
Pleasant staff, privacy, nice pool and surroundings .
The Photos on the website were great, I was looking for a romantic break and was lured by the picture of the large double bed and photos of idyllic grounds with superb photos of what seemed to be the perfect place...... but This is simply a large commercial venture targeted at the Golfing fraternity and the Hotel is nothing like the website which suggest a small romantic hotel.... my romantic evening was marred by two single beds, with a single table adorned by a single chair to drink a cup of tea (apparently double bed's are a lucky dip). My romantic surprise was very embarrassing as it looked like I had sorted a cheap deal (One night, £270 total cost with meal). The restaurant which suggests being part of the hotel on the website is a 5 minute drive (so no sharing a bottle of wine) all in all as the midnight hour passed I lay in my single bed bitterly regretting my choice of hotel wishing I had booked a Holiday Inn... shame on you Goodwood Hotel
Luxuriously appointed large hotel with boutique hotel feel. Good staff who were extremely helpful and polite. Clean well decorated facilities. Very poor signage to hotel around country lanes and actualy outside of the hotel
The setting and the health club The layout of the hotel
The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfasts were excellent. Lively big bed but mattress too soft.
First class and friendly service
Clean fresh and comfordable Nothing at all
Quality of the food and service Nothing
Only one night experience, for this I found it comfortable and very convient for the facilities of chichester. No complaints. Limited experience.Did the original price quoted mention tax extra, if not it should included.
Excellent stay, can't fault this hotel and is real value for money
Nothing to write home about. Dated. Budget Hotel. Staff pleasant though
Clean hotel Noise from some water system in room 107 meant that we had to change rooms on both nights in order to get some sleep. Night porter - Mick, gave us the key to room 123 which was quite.
bar meals open til 2200hrs
that there is a swimming pool. We did not have the opportunity to enjoy it but we booked your hotel because of it. Also that it is easy to park at your hotel I got bites on my cheek during the night. Knats perhaps so not relly your fault.
Nothing other than the spa was available for a back massage, which was sorely needed after a night on the rock hard beds. I would recommend any guest to book a massage on arrival as they will need it after one nights stay The beds, the restaurant, apathetic staff.
The facilities in this hotel are excellent and the staff are very welcoming and attentive. this is my second visit to this hotel and I will be returning to it in the future. nothing
Excellent location for Goodwood. Surprisingly high standard of rooms. The location is very functional (nr shopping park and ringroad) which wouldn't suit everyone.
The staff were most helpful and carried our baggage to our room. Only a limited choice of breakfast cereals and fresh fruit. For continental breakfast no cheese, meats, croisants etc.
Rooms large and clean Noisey at around 10.30pm but our room was well away from the music
Nice clean rooms, lovely breakfast, helpfull friendly staff,we enjoyed the live music on friday evening. We would have liked to have an evening meal but were unable to have one after 7.00pm.
The "old fashioned" atmosphere, with pleasant courteous staff. No
The Millstream has a predictable but consistently high standard. Well done to whoever is in charge of staff training! n/a
Near of the sea and church, extras in the room, comfort, personal very kind.
The very friendly staff were always around to help and look after us. My 88 year old mother thoroughly enjoyed her stay and we could not fault the facilities provided in the rooms, lots of little extras were included. The duvets were extremely warm and much too hot.
The aspect of the hotel, the comfort, the friendliness of the staff. The food was excellent There were two weddings there during our two days and it was difficult for elderly residents to know where to sit comfortably at this time. Perhaps residents could be informed that this was happening beforehand, and perhaps an area could be set aside for them? My friend`s 87yr.old mother found herself a spectator in the corner feeling somewhat awkward.
Fresh Milk in rooms, suberb Food
We went away to get away and found all the luxuries of a 5* hotel and booking in for another night was not a problem.
The front garden is a great place to sit and relax with a glass of wine. My room was next to a noisy aircon which meant I couldn't have the window open at night.
very welcoming , well run , good location , good restaurant , staff of a high standard. justly popular with weddings ,means parking can be difficult when they re taking place
the staff were all very friendly and attended to our every need but not in an intrusive way
it was clean the room I felt like i was in a chalet not a hotel.it had a musty smell to it,
I liked the layout and privacy of the rooms. The restaurant was comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable and the view over fields very pleasant.
Relaxed atmosphere All good
GReat rooms , friendly staff, lovely food both dinner and breakfast.. Absolutely nothing
Absolutely fantastic stay; staff couldn't have been more attentive; room was compact but very clean and comfortable and with a cracking view of the Sussex countryside (including deers skipping from left to right). Had a set menu due to it being a Valentine's Day special but the choice was still excellent and the food delicious. A couple of guests seemed to believe that they were in the Ritz and appeared somewhat snooty over our relaxed attire (nothing outrageous just didn't feel it necessary to put my 3-piece Cotswold tweed on). No such issue from the staff.
The bed was very comfortable and roomy! The evening meal was delicious - with very efficient service. some breakfast staff very slow and forgetful - needed efficient person in charge.
Ver ywarm on a cold night, Excellent food Quite close to a road
The bed! Nice, big and very comfy. The noise of the traffic from the main road which was very noticable against a quiet country backdrop.
Room and food were very good Food and drink expensive, staff inexperienced
It was a very nice room with especilly nice bathroom. The views from the back were lovely. It was close to West Wittering which we went to see for the first time for 50 years. The restuarant was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. Thank you.
I loved the bed! It was pure luxury
Good breakfast, friendly and helpfull people. I did not know it was a B&B so was dissapointed I could not get an evening meal without driving or as it happened getting a takeaway delivered.
Good room, spacious, comfortable, warm, and excellent en-suite, nice and clean. Breakfast was grilled so didn't feel as heavy afterwards. The garden is amazing. he owners, Kevin and Lorraine were friendly and helpful.
The facilities are excellent
it was convenient to Chichester The breakfast service was poor, no poached eggs or baked beans at breakfast. No showergel and handwash almost empty, but was refilled after we mentioned it. .
Friendly people. Nowhere to go nearby by foot. Food not great. Wet-dog smell pervaded.
breakfast was excellent! smell of damp in the room
The room was very cold when I arrived as the window had been left open. The heater was a inifective and my night was very cold. The walls of the room were very thin, so I could overhear the couple who were staying next door's every word.
Nothing Bedding cheap, no headboards, thin walls, used toiletries, no glass in bathroom, towels very small, food was awful and badly cooked, security was poor, facilities were awful, no telephone in room, very small basic tv, shower leaked.
Convenience for Goodwood Pathetic choice of cereals. Having to wait for clean crockery at breakfast. Towels were well-worn and GREY rather than white.
Going home! The owners very unfriendly
Nice staff, it is located with a pub and they have nice english breakfast. No wifi
Good services and facilities offered in combination with the Inn/Pub itself. The bed wasn't very comfortable - in particular the pillows. Bedding was a bit grubby and cleanliness/freshness thereof could have been better. Quality of breakfast provided could have been better.
Cant think of any! Breakfast not ready at 9am as advised and was cold. no excuse as this was the day the clock went back and an extra hour was at hand. Breakast from 9-10 was too late for people wanting an early start.Location didn't state which railway station, address Chichester so thought that station. Room cold and strange small objects appeared on the pillows - seeds or droppings?
Not very much apart from the staff were o.k. the hotel was small, uncomfortable and not well done.
english breakfast was excellent fan in shower was noisy, could hear next door's too
warm friendly staff, good clean room and excellent food
Lovely setting, well maintained, great breakfast and a spacious room - you can tell why it's got four AA stars but it's good value for money too.
Location to ferry port and the fantastic Breakfast good modern and very clean quiet room.
Breakfast was very good, staff were friendly and the room was nice and clean the room was a bit tight having to squeeze between the end of the bed and the wall to get to one side.
A good welcome ,a clean room,a good breakfast and good value The bathroom smelt damp but was ok if window was left open.
I had a small room and could not sit at the desk/dressing table to work on my computer.
Staff very helpful and frendley nice people It rained at some point on all three days but nthen this England
An absolute pleasure. Staff were really help and even managed to provide an extra bed. Would definitely stay again.
Loveley atmosphere. Great breakfast. no
Location and close approximity to where we were visiting. Friendly atmosphere.
Good Position, nice staff. Very small and uncomfortable bed.
rooms clean and tidy, and kept so each day. breakfast and evening meals where great bar was only open of an evening, would have liked a drink in the late afternoon
Price versus quality of the diner was excellent. Breakfast was well done, Nice view right on the sea. Rooms are very quiet and well furnished. Something to know: there is no lift to the second floor and for older people the steep stairs can be a problem, but for us (young 60+) this was not a problem at all ;-)
the beach is right outside the door rooms a bit basic
Pleasant staff, reasonable accomodation, good food, excellent location.
everything.relaxed atmos smallish bar
The location was great, right on the beach, and the indoor heated pool was lovely. The staff were friendly, although all very young and some were quite unprofessional and not as attentive as we would have expected. The hotel itself was nice but we would not recommend eating there, the breakfast was below standard and the evening meal we had in the restaurant was terrible, we sent everything back almost untouched, poor quality food, didn't match the menu description, the 'continental meat platter' was a few salad leaves and bread sticks, with processed cold meat straight out of a packet, resembling spam! The 'King Prawn' starter was a joke, four tiny prawns and a bit of dressing, drowned by plain salad. Mains were poorly put together and poorly cooked, was such a shame as we'd stayed in Best Western hotels before and had great experiences, we even got married at a Best Western in Bromley and the food and service was fantastic, so we expected similar. But this was just very disappointing. The staff did take the meal off of our bill, rightly so as we'd eaten hardly any of it, but did try to explain away the poor quality of standard of the food. Also, our room was comfy although small, but we were constantly disturbed all night with strange clicking noises and sounds of water gushing through the pipes, and also our bathroom was flooded on our last day due to a leak in the kitchen! The staff did try and were friendly, but generally our stay was not the best at all. Certainly not worth £189.00 for 2 nights!
staff were friendly, Place was clean and the pool was a bonus all good
Room was old fashioned and very disappointing. Bar was very small. We were offered a quite expensive dinner menu but not informed they did bar snacks so went out for a meal.
Excellent sized room, lovely bar No spare toilet roll, had to ask twice before it was provided. Bathroom door difficult to close. Also a very heavy and hot duvet
Spacious room. Central location. The hot water went off on day 2 and stayed off until we left two days later. The Wi-fi also stopped working. We were poorly kept informed of the problems.
Good location, good size, clean and well-appointed room, friendly staff, good food Central heating not working (used fan heaters instead)and uneven floor meant uneven bed - side nearest window is at an angle of about 15 degrees
Very helpful staff Holes in bedding, scraped wall, hot tap faulty.
Lovely old building; large proportioned room recently refurbished; large comfortable bed; free parking; ideal city centre location. A blind in our room was faulty & was fixed the next day. As we'd read on other reviews, some staff were young & inexperienced however this did not spoil our stay
Friendly atmosphere & staff Room a bit small.
friendly staff and clean hotel and its position was great
the location and the relaxing atmosphere
Warm and friendly atmosphere. Lovely room overlooking the sea No
The location and atmosphere of the hotel and the availability of a restaurant
The welcome received from Carol and seaviews. The TV did not get the best reception and only basis 4 channels
location room was smaller than im used to for similar priced hotels
Overlooking the sea whilst eating breakfast! Poor television reception/picture, however wasn't there long enough to matter too much
how helpful the hotel staff were
It served our needs for a weekend to see relatives Same room as last year poor view
kind staff lovely place to stay lots of room for all 4 of us great breakfast and a lovely pub / restaurant many thanks to all 10/10
The pub next door was good the staff were lovely. Bed uncomfortable noisy.
Premier excellent as usual Booking completely wrong, I rang active and was given a load of incorrect information. I rang Premier who rectified.
The approach of the lady in reception, Karen I believe her name was, excellent customer skills, very pleasant and good personality. Only one complaint, Premier Inn advertise rooms FROM £29.00, when although I booked six weeks plus prior to our arrival, I was still quoted both on-line and direct with the hotel £70.00 for the one night. How early do I need to make a booking to take advantage of the £29.00 rate?
Spacious room Heater thermostat broken so cold at night; didn't call for help though as drifting in and out of sleep and off very early next morning.
It was convienent and the room was large and spacious. There was a damp smell in the room. possibly from the bathroom which meant we opened the window. However, this meant that there was a considerable amount of noise from the people who were drinking in the garden area or waiting outside to be picked up by taxis etc.
Quick and easy to find . Close to the town itself . Older style property but with the expected standard of premier inns . No lift access .
All the staff except one (breakfast on second morning) were very good. The large bathroom, with hook behind the door and a window. Ability to open windows to regulate fresh air. Good range of tourist information leaflets. The yale locks meant that it was impossible to close the bedroom doors quietly and early morning risers woke us. The fast-moving traffic meant it was difficult to turn right out of the hotel - we turned left and turned in a side road further on.
Location, comfort, good price Hard to find even with GPS, more signs on the road will be better
hotgel nice and clean Really feel there should be a lift in hotel
Good room facilities, pretty good bathroom, helpful staff. There was not really anything to dislike. However some might find the rooms a little dark and the layout/decor more business like than intimate.
Friendly helpful staff.Very clean, all things requested supplied promptly. Would have liked to know prior to booking with you that the bar lounge area was being refurbished Hotel had temporary bar, but new one will be finished soon and will be great when done. bottlebank below window. Smashing of bottles in room heard.
very pleasant stay, polite staff, very clean hotel, would highly recommend it
Courtious staff, the room we had was spacious & possibly used for specail occasssions Great stay
Good location.NIce large room, quiet. Desk clerk very helpful. Room good value Breakfst rather uninspiring, poor value
Location for purpose; comfort cleanliness and value for money. All excellent. The staff were especially friendly.
Peace and quiet in comfortable surroundings. Noisy guests coming back to their rooms late at night.
The staff were very good. The room was lovely and quiet. Could have done with a light over the desk to read better by. The bed was a double for just me which was great.I will stay there again with my husband. I would ring them in advance to book the type of room that would suit me and I am sure they would accomodate me if possible. The arrangements for the evening meal could have been spelled out a bit more clearly and the menu printed up in reception. But I enjoyed my stay.
Very friendly staff, the room was very clean (recently re-furbed) and spacious, a nice experience. Brookie has travelled to two other hotels already. :-)
Clean. Tidy. Warm. Good facilities. Beds a bit hard, lumpy.
