Location is quite central near Siyou Lu and in the Wanke compound Reception very friendly and welcoming, spoke a little English as well.
Very nice also very clean
This was the second time I stayed at this hotel. It's very good. Actually the best hotel I've stayed at during my trip in China considering the price. The room was cleaned everyday and the Wi-Fi was working, although Skype did break from time to time. I was a bit disappointed with the staff at the reception last time due to their English level. However, when I checked out, they managed to call a taxi for me to the railway station and even followed me out to the taxi so I caught the right one. That's an amazing service. Thanks!
I didn't like the breakfast. Next time I stay I will book without breakfast. It's also very crowded to get to the elevators. I started taking the stairs instead, at least going down stairs. I also found the room a bit dark during the day.
I was surprised about the standard of the room. It was much higher than I expected. Internet is working OK unless you have to stream using Skype or similar. The bed is big and comfortable and the room feels very large. The bathroom also exceeded my expectations. There is an amazing shopping mall 5 minute walking from the hotel with endless shopping possibilities and all the food you can eat. You can access the mall from the metro station that is just across the street and for accessing the whole city. I decided to extend my stay one day longer than planned due to the overall quality of the room and the great location. If I ever come back, I'll probably book here again.
The women at the reception lacks basic English skills. It's impossible to get any useful information from them. Although they tried, I can't really blame them. How many English speaking tourists come here per year? The hotel is on a few floors in the building that also consists of office spaces and other businesses. The elevators quickly gets very crowded. Expect 10 to 20 minutes to get to or from your room depending on the "traffic". Breakfast was only served from 7-9 am, which was when I slept. The room could have had more sound isolation. Prostitution is going on as always in Chinese hotels. I was lucky the activities were not wall to wall but rather on the other side of the corridor. The sound was still however noticeable, but only lasted 10 minutes or so.
Nobody speak English, rooms not very clean. Wifi slow.
